Went to my mom’s house today to have dinner with her to celebrate her birthday and told her I would need to leave in time to get some fresh Mint from a nearby grocer and she told me she had lots of mint in her garden. Then she disappeared into the rain and returned to stand outside of her own glass door, holding handfuls of plants that had just been torn from the ground. She knocked, and my father let her in. She brought me the plants, which were actually lemon balm, and then dragged me outside to prove that she definitely had mint, and I know she used to have it, because I have seen it before (which is why I believed she would be able to get me some), but we found none mint.

Which makes my mother the first person in the history of the world to accidentally eradicate mint.

I went in with exactly zero plans besides "make pretty pearl-like jewelry" and you know what? #NailedIt Although I did get a little lazy there for the back view; literally just copied the front view and smushed things around with various transformation tools lol. You can tell by how blurry it is. You can also tell that I added another little dangly thing towards the side of the cloak that wraps around front, because it's not all blurry XD

Learned a recipe for achma today and it is literally Georgian kugel. I love convergent culinary evolution so much. Also learned a recipe for a Ukrainian Romani vegetable dish my friend's family makes and a Lebanese aromatic stew that is served over rice. Really excited to try cooking these soon

#edit: i did go to munich last weekend because football and i tried a bunch of restaurants #it was super exhausting and my knee hurt for several days #but it was really nice #went to a cat cafe. which isn't as spectacular as i thought but hey! i did it! #found a mexican place which is really good #accidentally went to the wrong korean restaurant - i wanted to visit one i've already been to but ended up at a new one #they were FAST (in augsburg i waited like 2h once so now i'm wary) and the food was good #but then the owner threw us out bcs more people were coming #won't come back thx :))))) #and then we went to a chinese place and there were a lot of chinese guests which is quite a good sign #and they had handmade noodles and were really friendly and the food was pretty good and the price too #and then i noticed if we didn't leave within like 5 minutes we'd miss our train home and had to wait for another hour #but the cute waiter struck up a conversation bcs he saw our fca stuff :)))))) which was sweet but boi i need to catch my train #there were so many people talking to us bcs of our fca stuff oh boi social interactions maxxxxed out and stuff #i want to do another food trip but not too soon. i need to recover from this trip
