Decepticon Reader x TFP Starscream thoughts

- he likes to try and be sneaky and look at you while you’re working on your own stuff. he likes sees how you move, how you compose yourself, how you act when others aren’t around (he’s not very good at being sneaky though, so you always end up inviting him to work with you. this eventually leads to you two talking and not working)

- he can be very tsundere at times. but you can always tell he’s happy to see you because his wings perk up whenever he talks to you. he denies it but pretty much everyone knows, the vehicons especially like to tease him about it

- if you like to draw, he will pose for you at any given moment. sometimes he does these not very subtle poses while addressing the troops or doing other tasks (he begrudgingly asks knockout for advice on posing. he wants only the best for you even if it means knockout teases him)

- really incredibly gentle when he kisses you. he doesn’t wanna accidentally hurt you or anything… if he did he would probably throw himself off the nemesis

- a little touchstarved actually. if he’s feeling tired and you are alone together, he will simply rest his head on your shoulder, maybe wrap an arm around your waist…. the man just wants to be held okay???

- we all know that starscream loves to talk. but he also loves listening to you talk! he’ll actually shut up for a little bit to hear you ramble about the things you like, whether that’s earth media or your own work within the decepticons (sometimes he’ll fall into recharge but he doesn’t mean any harm. your voice is just so soothing to listen to that he can’t help it…)

Here’s a G1 Shatttered Glass headcannon I have. Unlike baseline G1 where Starscream is constantly trying to usurp Megatron, in Shattered Glass Starscream has a massive crush on his beloved leader.

The issue? SG!Starscream is way to much of a tsundere to ever admit this out loud.

Cue a running gag where Starscream tries to work up the courage to flirt, only to back out last minute. Case in point:

*The Shattered Glass Decepticons have just arrived on Earth*

SG!Megatron: “This planet is beautiful.”

SG!Starscream: *mumbled whisper* “Not as beautiful as you.”

SG!Megatron: *confused* “What?”

SG!Starscream: *nervous* “What?”

My goodness, would the Ink Demon hate Shockwave. He'd remind him of the Keepers, especially with how emotionless he is and what he does. Shockwave would be the only bot to really unnerve him, considering the trauma he faced at the hands of Wilson and his Keepers. He'd also probably despise Starscream, considering how he kinda sounds and acts like him too. (Seriously, Wilson kinda gives Starscream vibes.) Both are also on his shit list.

Another bot that reminds me of a Bendy character would be Bumblebee, who reminds me of toon Bendy. Optimus can kinda be compared with Henry. Airachnid would most definitely remind the Ink Demon of Alice, so she'd also be on his shit list. Ink Demon and Arcee bond over the shared hatred of the spider, lmao.

Bendy absolutely loathed Shockwave even more than the Keepers. He can at least manipulate them to some degree unlike Shockers who wants to dissect the Ink Demon. The mad scientist's interest in Bendy is as bad as his obsession with Predacons. Even moreso when he's shown footage of his 'Assimilation' ability on the bots or Raf.

Starscream is a 'spineless Wilson' in Bendy's opinion but still on the shit list. The Ink Demon tends to wind up joining missions from time to time. His reasoning being either restless or blow off some team when he actually cares for the group. (Man is a tsundere I tell you what. He would also state it weirdly like 'Optimus, don't make me drag you into the inky pits to keep you alive.')

Bendy encounters the other Decepticons due to this so it is no surprise he loathes Airachnid. Considering his throne in BATIM had Alice Angel halos on it, then he absolutely tore off a piece of the spider bitch for himself as a sick irony. You should see them play Cards Against Humanity from the wild shit they negatively make about her.

Bendy does see that innocence Bumblebee shares with his character's original portrayal. You can say both were at each other's in the beginning since not only was it a sore spot but he was genuinely paranoid about being replaced. Optimus is a somber reminder of the real man he would truly never meet.

The Henry in the Ink Machine may be identical but he isn't the original. Joey's repeated narrative pretty much wreck any chance of a normal talk. Optimus is like if Henry lost his compassion for his hobbies. The man tries to relax but whatever nonsense about how a leader should act holds Prime back.

Bendy often takes Optimus stuff or interrupts with a simple request so the mech doesn't fully kill what remains of his true self.

Following up on that take about TFP Megatron, this is something I’ve wanted to talk about for awhile. When Optimus became amnesiac after the battle with Unicron and went back to Orion Pax, did anyone else notice the strange, tenderness and delicateness of their relationship? Especially with Megatron being so uncharacteristically patient with Orion?

it could be Megatron just manipulating Orion or me reaching as a MegOP shipper, but I think when Orion came back, so did Megatron’s feelings for him.

Megatron hates Optimus prime, but he loves Orion Pax. And I think if he could, he’d get rid of the former and keep the latter.

What’s your take?

I think it can swing one way or the other or even both. Megatronus/D-16 and Orion Pax had forged an alliance among the lower classes and like-minded individuals to bring change to the dying and oppressive state of the Golden Age of Cybertron. 

The Decepticons were dangerous. Not in violent acts, but what they represented. Fundamental and irreversible change to the status quo of Functionism. That mecha should not be corralled and defined by their own functions, determined by their frames. (Which makes me kinda side-eye the advertisements that Megatron enjoys My Little Pony, but that’s a different story.)

When Ratchet recalls the events that led up to the War, he says, "It was here that [Megatronus] begins to reveal his true colors." But we should also take into consideration of Ratchet’s biases and that he’s an unreliable narrator; he describes a young Orion Pax finding out the corruption and inequality through his work in the Iacon Hall of Records and being moved to mentor the miner-turned-gladiator. In the Aligned novels, Orion hailed directly from the Wastelands, outside the safety from the walls of a city-state, the guy didn’t even understand Neocybex or whatever language the city-dwellers used.

I’ve seen takes with Orion being very ignorant by his own high-caste status and was mainly pushed by his own innate goodness and idealism, but I have yet to see takes on Orion’s unique position being from the absolute boonies and snatched up by Alpha Trion. I mean, you’re telling me that a very respectable individual in a very important position adopts a literal feral barbarian man/child and no one makes a comment? I don’t think so!!

Ratchet has his own ingrained prejudices: it’s shown how he speaks about the locals on Earth and how he dismisses Bulkhead not being a scientist as well as how all the Autobots fell apart when their Prime was taken away from them. 

So back to Ratchet’s recall: the Autobots view Megatron as the megamanic that doomed their society, but the Decepticons view him as their liberator from chains.

Megatronus demanding to be named the next Prime is a power move on his part. Not in a way to consolidate absolute power, but it puts the old guard in a really tough position. The massive crowd against them won’t be swayed by pretty words or empty promises, but like Pits, they’re going to validate the uprise with the holiest of relics. Personally, I truly believe that the Senate endorsed Orion to break the revolution and its base. 

I also think that Megatronus and Orion, while on the same team for a better, had played cards too close to their sparks, and believed the other mech to betray the cause. I mean, he wasn’t kidding that Orion would have made a great Decepticon, but there arise so many misunderstandings from this.

Honestly, the whole thing is really damn tragic when it’s broken down.

Megatron is really tsundere when you think about it. For all of his harshness, he does care, deep, deep down.

Why else would he demand sets of partners on missions after MECH got Breakdown? Why else the Vehicons were color-coded after he latched a car off the deck of an air-bound Nemesis? Why else he kept taking back Starscream? 

Optimus-to-Orion brought out some of Megatron’s past before the wretched meeting, but he still manipulates the situation to keep him in the dark: decode the library and how Cybertron became a wasteland.

Megatron is not Megatronus/D-16, just as Optimus is not Orion Pax. They are very two different people shaped by what happened. If anything, it just hammers the tragedy of what happened.

"Build Your Character Like A Ninja Turtle" Random Tables

So, Friend of the blog Trent Troop, AKA @therobotmonster came up with a great concept called "Build Your Character Like A Ninja Turtle," with the idea of building a character via a combination of "Species/Type + Job/Skill + Schtick"

So, naturally I had to make some random D20 tables for doing that process, trying to go a bit broad and open-ended with it for maximum fun! Along with an optional bonus one to fit with Trent;'s toyetic aesthetics.

There is Vegeta. Who is NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Besides being a villain at ine point in time.

He is Tsundere af. He is so grumpy. He is judged mc judge. He has an ego bigger than him. And he got a massive forhead.

I am soooo wanting to write silly whump-y fics about TFP Screamer passing out from pain and Knockout taking care of him…only thing is, I haven’t watched TFP. 😂

It seems to be a really polarizing show; I’ve seen people say it’s great and people say it’s shit. Still don’t know whether to watch it or not…

Anyway, if you wanna write something, I’d really love a cute whump with Knockscream, fainting or no. :P

I mean. TFP was so good that it won multiple emmy awards, and is hailed as one of the best if not tbe best transformers show of all time, so

Anyway, moving on, I love this idea. Starscream is just... always hurt in one way or another in the aligned continuity, pior guy gets beat on and is always getting the short end of the stick. He had a bad habit of pushing himself and ignoring his health needs, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if one day he just dropped

Knockout is entirely unsurprised. He was waiting for it to happen--a body can only take so much abuse before it screams ENOUGH!!! and decides to fix things on it's own. Tbh Starscream is probably in the medbay when it happens; prideful idiot tries to stand up halfway through repairs insisting that he's fine, thank you Knockout, goodbye!

Kncokout just folds his arms and goes, "Three, two, one."

Starscream only gets halfthrough through a demanded, "What are you-" before he gets hit with the worst headrush of his entire life and the whole world goes dark. Knockout sighs, muttering about stupid peacock jets that think they're invincible, then hauls his patient back onto the bed to continue working him. Probably sets him up on an energon drip in the mean time. Primus knows he needs it

Their relationship is kinda rocky and Starscream is a useless tsundere (do NOT @ me on this). He'll never say thank you but he'll make an offhand comment indirectly acknowledging the good doctor's work. Knockout's able to read between the lines, thankfully. As much of a handful as he can be he really does like the air commander, so he's committed to taking care of him, whenever, wherever 💖

what's your opinion on TFA optimus

He kind of sucks to be honest like Optimus as a character is meant to be an old lovable man so making him young takes away a lot of his charm not to mention how woobified he is because of this. Worst part is that Megatron is still an old man! They don’t even know each other and like I GUESS a that’s one hell of a meetcute if you want to take it that way like I am fond of some aspects like how big the size difference is and Megatron trying to act like he doesn’t like him (megs is def a tsundere in TFA lol) but it’s the PRINCIPAL of the matter… If you wanted a show about a young upstart leading the Autobots you could’ve just stuck to status quo and made it Hot Rod or Ultra Magnus but nooo you have to go and make Ultra Magnus the old one and make primes a dime a dozen (which is SO stupid). He’s honestly pathetic and the worst at being Optimus you know. If he was Roddy I would be all over this it would be sooo cute (MTMTE RodiMegs vibes for sure!) but as it stands it makes TFA a 6/10 show for me only saving grace being how cute Starscream is in it I love me a sinnamon roll >:3

G1 Autobots definitely have the bug. Optimus and Megatron's grapeling causes mechs to yell "avert thine eyes"to the humans. They pause mid fight to make-out and go back to brawling without ever mentioning the combat innuendo.

TFP bots probably on shutdown because of scarece energon. Such side eye. And Ratchet who is actually old enough to recognize what's going on is ranting about it in private to Optimus.

Megatron finds out because of Starscream. Starscream was bitching about Megatron being stupidly sexy and distracting all of the sudden. Unaware Megatron had snuck up behind him. Megs makes an offhand comment about Starscream not being able to handle him in the berth. Starscream took this as a chalange. And Megatron sparked him up.

Megatron is so confused why Starscream is being an extra clingy tsundere and why he is feeling hyper protective of his perfidous SiC. KO preforms a check a few weeks later when Starscream faints. The Newspark droped into the forge and the protoform is beining to build. Knockout is shocked and demanding they kidnap Ratchet since "that fossil's old as dirt. If anyone know what the frag's going on it would be him."

Gdfhjkkl ohh.

In g1 fuck all is gonna stop Optimus and Megatron's fights from getting so many "enemies AND lovers" vibes. Like. "avert thine eyes" indeeeeed

Hgghh yes. In tfp the autobots are definitely not running on enough energon to run the same protocols (though I can see them bagging some of their best wins and raids during this time period as the cons are rather distracted. Very distracted.)

Megatron bitties don't do well in more friendly/non-aggressive households as they often feel unsure of themselves, feeling out of place and insecure, like they don't belong or they were adopted by accident, they are used to fighting, arguing, and having to fight to get to the top! Just being handed the title of leader/boss feels strange to them!

Megatron bitties do not get along with any Optimus bitty(G1 or otherwise), and will battle them 24/7, the only way to help this is for them to have separate areas of the house(similar to territories) with no(or very little, but best to have no)overlap, though they would still fight and the Megatron bitty wouldn't stop until they either proclaim him as their leader or until someone was returned/given to another owner, its best to just not adopt an Optimus bitty(or any autobot bitty for that matter, as very few would listen to a Megatron bitty) when adopting a Megatron bitty,

Megatron bitties should never be adopted with any type of Starscream except for Armada Starcream bitties! This is to avoid the inevitable cycle of abuse!

Additional info: Megatron bitties can be pretty aggressive with other bossy bitties! If you already have a bossy bitty, or plan to adopt one, then it is not recommended to adopt a Megatron bitty as well,

Okay worsties I just finished rereading Autocracy and now I have some crumbs of words about my Favorite Character. But mostly what I have to say is that I love how fucking gay Megatron is for Orion, not like in a sexy way but in an obsessive way. Like, Megatron is already planning for the downfall of Cybertron’s government, he has his plans to kill everyone (including Orion) but in the meantime??? He pretty much is laying on his bed kicking his legs in the air going “I wonder how Orion will react to this owo”

Like, I cannot stress enough that in Autocracy Megatron keeps saying ‘I just want to see how Orion will react’ and insists that it would be more fun more effective to let Orion uncover government secrets and tear apart the regime himself rather than Megatron and the Cons themselves kill everyone. Like Megatron basically already feels like he’s won, he’s just waiting to see the fun happen, and he wants to see how Orion reacts!!! It’s so fucking funny!

And Orion is so tsundere about Megatron’s attention too, they have a conversation that’s like (actual dialogue btw)

Megatron: "we could accomplish great things together"

Orion: "don't bet on it"

And it’s just klsdfljskllkjds it’s so funny how Megatron is the one that’s like “come oooooon Orion I know you could tear down the government with me if you just decided to agree that I’m right about everything :3 “ and Orion is like “fuck you Megatron you don’t know me” and Megatron is like “but I DO know you” and it’s just lkdsfjlksdjlkf I love how pissed off Orion is and how OFFENDED he is at Megatron’s attempts to woo him to his side.

Meanwhile Starscream is in the back like “so Megatron are you just going to like kill these guys yet” and Megatron is like “NO I want to see what Orion does next :3″ and there’s even this part where Orion comes back from the dead and Starscream is like “bitch you said you killed him” and it’s just lskjdfklsdlk

In conclusion Autocracy is hella gay with megop and it’s not even the best part of the Autocracy trilogy (as of this point in my ~3rd+ reread I actually think it’s the least good of the trilogy). I can’t wait to read Monstrosity and Primacy
