Yandere Ghost, König, and Soap with a gn darling who has Autism

Warnings: yandere behavior and a bit ooc character; I'm a believer for König having ADHD.

A/N: this was a request but someone deactivated which deleted their ask. Happy Autism awareness month! I'm all extremely proud of you <3

I did my research on Autism but I'm not fully aware of the diagnosis(?). If I offended anyone, that's not what I meant, and please send an ask if I did anything incorrectly.

Simon “Ghost” Riley:

It’s likely that he already knew or saw the signs and decided to research it; which, led him to read a fair amount about autism to connect with you.

However, he’s not a physiatrist and he’s not dumb enough to assume, which leads him to keep it private or not bring it up before you do. Mental and physical health is personal. He won’t dig into your diagnosis unless he views it as harmful. However, once you do feel ready to tell him, he will be incredibly supportive and try his best to learn about your triggers.

When it comes to things that overwhelm you, he’s pretty good at tracking those things. Certain textures and noises are written down and taken very seriously by him.

Don’t like the feeling of jeans? He will make sure not to wear them around you or buy you some.

Hate the sound of cardboard or styrofoam? Simon makes sure not to unbox packages near you or let you be in sight of it.

Protective over a certain object? He will make sure to never use it, and if he does need to, he will ask and won’t get upset if you say no. Consent is taken seriously with this man.

Speaking of consent, He’s pretty clear with it — he won’t touch you. He’s pretty adamant about making sure you don’t feel like a nuisance or try to ‘force’ you to do things with him, including touching. It’s your body, it has rules and he’s gonna respect those. Boundaries are there for a reason.

After a while with you, he’s learned your body language and a few things to communicate with you without spoken words. The two of you have secret signals, certain pulled-up fingers or touches mean certain words; do you need company or alone time? Want to have space or be cuddled with him? Is the room too bright or too loud? Whatever you need, he’ll help out as much as he can.

A plus side with Simon is that he speaks pretty clearly; no unnecessary, soft metaphors with him. He means whatever he says, you don’t have to worry about missing something as he speaks directly with anyone, including you. If he does make a mistake or offend you, he’s more willing to acknowledge his mistake and learn from it. Don’t be afraid to approach him, he can handle it.

If you enjoy parallel play, Simon is someone who enjoys it just as much. He doesn’t mind sitting in the same room with you, just enjoying each other’s presence without talking or engaging with each other and doing your own thing. He feels comfort by being in the same room, simply reading a book, watching TV, or doing work as you do the same. You don’t always need conversation to be comfortable. He respects that of you.

Having little to no eye contact, being blunt/or forward, and getting burnt out in public places easily don’t bother him either. Simon understands that eye contact doesn’t equal attention. He’s also a fan of not big places, he’s a homebody and prefers to be in his safe area with you.

Simon is one of those people who prefers when people speak their minds, and say what they mean. Just get straight to the point, don’t hint at things other than expect others to know the meaning. It’s boring — plus, he gets to understand things easier.

While Simon is incredibly good at being supportive and respecting your boundaries, he sometimes doesn’t understand/or grasp the concept of emotional dysregulation or hyper-empathy.

He doesn’t know what to do if you get upset over something ‘small’. But, with learning like a good husband, he will ask you questions based on what will help you: do you need comfort? If so, how would you like it? Words or physical touch? Or just being in the same room so you can feel at least his presence?

He actually enjoys having certain patterns with you. He likes order and sticking to it, so whenever the two of you go grocery shopping or out in public, he will follow right behind you like a guard dog as he shuffles around people in the aisles; making sure nobody touches you or gets in your way; he will help guide you, a hand on your hip as he follows you around.

Gives you his full attention whenever you’re talking about something you are very passionate about — whatever it’s about, he hums along and asks questions to know more. He likes learning new things from you and may share some things of his own! He enjoys seeing you happy about the hobbies you are joyful about.

When the world becomes too loud for you and a bunch is going around you, Simon will pull you somewhere quieter, allowing you to have a moment by yourself to recollect; helping you with breathing patterns, or asking you questions to help you in some way.

Ghost is deadly serious about protecting you. If anyone gives you weird looks or dares to say anything, he will look at them until they get scared and walk away — he’s not afraid to throw fists if they dare approach you.

Stimming? Simon is happy that you’re expressing yourself, as long as you’re not physically hurting yourself, he won’t mind you doing your own thing. He enjoys it rather.

He doesn't mind if you are fiddling with his fingers, repeatedly pulling at your clothing, or tapping your fingers at the dinner table as the two of you eat; rarely do these habits annoy him. He actually encourages these stims.

König:

Extremely supportive and understanding. He will make sure to learn about it, as well as ask you frequent questions on what things can/will trigger you. You’re his spouse, a person he’s admired and loved, he’s willing to do anything to help you, including with your troubles.

König can relate to some of your daily struggles. While he knows that he’s not autistic, he does have ADHD and anxiety which causes some things to clash with yours: hyperfixations, certain textures that make your skin crawl, stimming, and fidgeting, or rejection sensitivity. There’s a whole lot more to go on with, but to an extent, König can understand you while he’s prone to help you.

If you ever feel overwhelmed, even in the place of a restaurant or going shopping, and need to leave, he will utmost support you and never let you apologize.

Shopping can happen another day, he can go down there and finish it later; you are always his top priority. Eating at a restaurant is for fun, and you are not ruining it. Today wasn’t your day, tomorrow is another day that we can try.

Is super respectful, even with touching you and approaching your space. He’s always been a gentle giant, no matter how many years the two of you have been together since kidnapping.

If you don’t want to be touched, he won’t be affected by it and will respect you. Boundaries are always heard, loud and clear with this man.

With König, he’s shy — sometimes his body language can be too stiff and he can’t say the right words without stuttering or making a mess of himself. However, he will try to learn to be more straightforward with you, especially with being needy or wanting kisses.

Stimming around him is completely normal, as he does it. He’s fine with you swinging his arms around when holding hands, singing along to a song that he hasn’t heard before, or continuously pacing in the house. Whatever you feel comfortable doing, please do it; much like Ghost, he encourages your stimming.

They’re simply a part of you, which he adores like the others. As long as you’re not physically hurting yourself, he won’t engage and leave you alone with your own thing.

If you’re hyper-fixated with certain things, whether that’s about the 18th century, bugs and reptiles, or rocks/minerals, König will go out of his way to surprise you with things you enjoy.

He enjoys it whenever you decide to tell him random hobbies or facts throughout the day. He actually looks forward to knowing things because of you! Especially if it’s about animals or different countries, he gets infested and may ask more about it, which leads to date nights on researching different topics with each other!

Patterns and cleanliness can be incredibly important for some people. While König will try his best to be as clean as he can, sometimes he forgets. He’s not the messiest giant. But he’s also not the cleanest perfectionist.

With that being said, König will do specific types of jobs in the home to help you: going as far as folding clothes, vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting the bathroom, or doing the dishes. Whatever you feel uncomfortable doing, leave it up to him!

However, if the two of you are outside, König is more than protective of you. As much as he can understand you can handle yourself, he will not stand people making fun of you or simply staring at you. König will, and can approach people with a look of pure evil; he’s not gonna stand around and make you feel unsafe or uncomfortable without doing something about it.

König, like any husband, will be incredibly patient with you. If you are shopping, he never hurries you whenever you are looking at the shelves of candles, even if you choose the same one every time.

Johnny “Soap” MacTavish:

He’s pretty nonchalant about the whole thing; he doesn’t really mind. Not to say that he will ignore your needs and issues, but he sees you as you. Your autism doesn’t make him think differently of you, you are still his spouse; he loves you regardless.

With the help of the internet, asking your family/or friends, and yourself, he will learn ways to comfort you and engage things with you without offending or triggering you. Whatever you need, he will get you in a few minutes: fizzy drinks, water, your comfort blanket and plushie, or comfort food.

Any activity you engage in, Soap tries to be with you as you are interested in it. Do you like reading books? He will collect as much as he can and take some time off to enjoy quiet time with you.

Love collecting miniature accessories to decorate your office? Soap will find some rare pieces and give you some.

Love popping bubble wrap? He will collect it as he gets packages in the mail, going as far as to buy you some online. At best, you'll have a few months worth.

Soap is big on encouraging your stimming in front of him and not masking. While he does understand that neurodivergent people mask to fit in society, he wants you to be you. He doesn’t want you to hide away, even if you think it’s ‘dumb’ or ‘bizarre’.

He hates how society has shaped people who are autistic as ‘insufferable’ or ‘emotionless’ because they are not. You are you. You just have extra steps that need to be seen and heard.

While Soap is incredibly flirty and loves joking around, he will try his best to be more straightforward and ask things directly rather than hint at things — he may make some mistakes but he will learn from them, trying his best to tell you things instead of whispering things into your ear.

Communication and body language can be hard. With Soap, he will try to find ways to communicate with you without his body language and sometimes not using his direct words.

With a certain time, he will learn when you’re stressed and immediately help you through anxiety/or a panic attack, sometimes distracting you with random questions and conversations, asking about your hobbies and the reason you like them.

Like the others, he doesn’t mind the stimming but rather enjoys seeing you get all happy and giddy about certain topics. As long as you’re not hurting yourself in any way, he won’t stop you.

Wherever you feel comfortable doing, whether that’s playing with fidget toys, humming, or tracing the lines on the palm of his hands, it won’t bother him at all.

Certain things can be triggering, which Soap will try his best to comfort.

That certain light that’s on? He’ll give you some headphones and his jacket, rubbing your back to help you calm down.

Don’t like sitting down? He’ll try to find you some space so you can stand by yourself, or get you a fidget cube to play with.

People staring at you? Soap will throw them a glare. If that doesn’t work, he may approach them ‘nicely’ about it.

Speaking of glaring, if anyone looks at you for too long, he’s not gonna be nice about it; throwing a bunch of glares before getting up from his seat, and asking the person what their deal is. This goes along the lines if someone approaches you, yet again, won’t go the nice line. He will get in their face and tell them to fuck off before something worse happens.

Being oversensitive isn’t a bad thing, nor is being under-responsiveness. It’s just the way your brain is hooked up and there’s nothing wrong with being you.

Sometimes crying over a movie character that died is a good thing — expressing your guilty pleasure over them, even if they were the villain.

Or maybe not noticing someone is being rude until you have a conversation with Johnny later that day, in which, he talks it out with you; asking if you want suggestions or need support.

Nevertheless, at the end of the day, Johnny is here to support you, even if you snap at him or decide to get so overwhelmed that you need a power nap together.

In defence of Undertale Yellow, how it can work with Undertale’s canon

So, I have seen a lot of debating recently on Undertale Yellow and whether or not it fits what we know already about the lore in Undertale. Of course Flowey’s presence in the mod is the primary thing that has sparked this debate, with many believing that he can’t have existed at the same time as the Justice Soul and that it is a major hole that breaks the continuity of Undertale. I however, as someone who has spent way too much time with Undertale and has vast knowledge about even the most obscure of details in the game, disagree. I believe that Undertale Yellow fits the original games canon well… maybe a bit too well, and I am here to give my own arguments against the things that I commonly see people say doesn’t fit the original game’s continuity. This may contain a few spoilers for Undertale Yellow, so unless you’ve already seen all 3 routes or for whatever reason don’t care about having the game spoiled, don’t read further until you are done.

Argument 1: all the Souls were already collected by the creation of Flowey and the amalgamates

Okay so this one I don’t really have much to say about. Yes Flowey and the Amalgamates were created using the SOULs of some of the collected humans, however it’s never specified that it was from 6 humans, all that’s made clear is that Asgore did have human SOULs (in plural) that were used in the experiment.

Argument 2: the timeline doesn’t match up

The timeline has always been a confusing topic among the Undertale community. While the most likely estimate of the gap between Chara and Frisk falling is 100 years due to what Sans tells us during his date.

There are a few reasons for us to believe that the gap is much smaller, especially considering the weird nature of the Deltarune timeline and the supposed grudge Chara seems to have against Snowdrake in Genocide (who is stated to only be a teenager).

However, no matter how you view the timeline, unless you have specific dates in mind for things like when Gaster was the Royal Scientist and when the fall of Integrity-Justice happened, or think the gap was REALLY short, Undertale Yellow doesn’t really contradict it too much. The game itself is meant to take place just a year before Undertale, with all the same characters existing in similar positions to how they do by the time of Undertale, however we never encounter them due to being on a completely different path that takes us to very different parts of the underground, being why they don’t behave like they encountered a human before in Undertale.

Integrity is a bit more interesting, because it can vary massively depending on how you view the lifespans of the Ketsukane’s, Starlo (Starlo won’t be important to this, but I mention him since he was childhood friends with Ceroba) and Dalv. It is strongly implied that as a kid, Dalv was best friends with Kanako, and was attacked by the Integrity human some point before the games events. At first you’d assume that this was all not meant to be long before the events of the game, however, Integrity was killed by Axis in UTY, a robot that was being worked on by Chujin back when the Steamworks were still in operation, which we can assume was long before the events of the game due to the state of the Steamworks itself and the fact it is stated to have been used as the source of all power in the underground, which would mean it would likely have shut down around the period that the CORE was first put into operation, so all the way back when Gaster was still the Royal Scientist, whenever you think that was (Axis wasn’t sent to kill the human until after Chujin was fired from his position, however due to the way Axis is locked up and deactivated before we wake up the Steamworks, we can assume he was shut down with the rest of the facility). On top of all this Dalv is shown to be a lot older than he presumably would have been when he was attacked by Integrity, and with him being a Vampire, you could say that he aged that much at a slower rate than a human would, with the Ketsukane’s also aging slow, 2 of them being Boss Monsters and one of them being a 9 tailed fox. We know that some monsters do likely age at very different rates due to monsters like Gerson who lived through the war.

So to give the whole timeline, basically, Chujin worked in the Steamworks and made Axis back before or during Gaster’s time as the royal scientist. After several failed prototypes that eventually got Chujin fired, Axis was sent to chase down and kill Integrity. He managed and Chujin kept the Soul hidden and over the span of years recorded a few tapes for what he had planning, meanwhile Dalv, who was previously attacked by Integrity, went into hiding, locking himself into a mostly dark and unknown part of the ruins. At some point when Alphy’s became the Royal Scientist, Chujin started to mentor Martlet, which led Martlet to enter the True Lab and get some strange serum. Eventually Chujin died around a year or two before UTY, revealing his hidden tapes to Ceroba, which Kanako overheard. This led to Ceroba attempting to inject Kanako with the Integrity soul, leading to Kanako falling and being donated to Alphy’s, and her of course then becoming an amalgamate.

Argument 3: Asgore killed all 6 of the other humans

Okay so this one is interesting, because Undyne does imply that humans before Frisk did make it to Asgore, with her saying that “no human has ever made it PAST Asgore” rather than “no human has ever made it TO Asgore”

The thing is, that other humans reached Asgore is all this really does imply, it doesn’t necessarily mean all humans made it to Asgore. You could argue that most of them died to Asgore, with Integrity and Justice being the only exceptions. If you really want to stretch you could even say that this line was actually just another attempt from Undyne to make Asgore sound like a powerful and threatening force (since she tries to make him out like that quite a bit in her fight, such as by saying that killing us is an act of mercy right after this), although I find this unlikely.

There is another line of dialogue that I sometimes see used to try and prove that Asgore killed all 6, and while it’s not used close to as much, I’ll still just quickly clear it up.

This doesn’t really mean that much, all it’s saying is that all the humans that leave the ruins inevitably die. She likely wouldn’t know any details on their deaths do to her isolation, and even if she had some knowledge she would probably still place the blame on Asgore due to his part in waging war and coming up with the plan to kill 7 humans in the first place.

Argument 4: The introduction of new incredibly powerful characters makes no sense

Okay, so this is a weird one, however the explanation for it is fairly simple. Nobody in UTY compares to the original Undertale cast when it comes to how “powerful” they are. We struggle so much against the opponents we face as Clover because well… Clover is much weaker than Frisk, bosses like Ceroba and Axis pale in comparison to Undyne and Mettaton, they just seem much harder since we are playing as a human with much less determination than Frisk. In Pacifist Clover fights a depressed fox lady, meanwhile Frisk fights a literal god; in Neutral Clover goes through a struggle fighting through Flowey’s mind after having his Soul absorbed, meanwhile Frisk holds on against Flowey with 6 Souls until those Souls rebel; and in Genocide Clover takes some time to finally destroy Axis, the failed prototype that got Chujin fired, meanwhile Frisk atomised Mettaton NEO, The greatest invention of the Scientist who was selected to replace Gaster, in a single blow.

The only Undertale Yellow character that I’d say surpasses any character in Undertale would of course be Zenith Martlet, but even then LV 19 Frisk would mop the floor with her, while LV 19 Clover had to go through a lot of effort to beat her, only ever managing to surpass Flowey in Determination after doing so. At LV 20 both Clover and Frisk have massive boosts from LV 19, however Frisk is far stronger, having awakened Chara and caused the destruction of everything, while Clover just destroys Asgore with a super laser blast directly from their Soul and leaves.

Argument 5: miscellaneous

Just to clear up any further confusion, I’ll give quick explanations for some more minor points that I have encountered

Nobody in the original Undertale apart from Flowey, Toriel and Asgore meets Clover, so the other monsters in Undertale acting like they had never met one makes sense.

Flowey not just stealing Clovers Soul is explained well by the game itself. He plans to, however he doesn’t get the chance in Pacifist; sees that we couldn’t surpass Asgore in Flawed Pacifist; steals our soul but is unsatisfied with the outcome and resets in Neutral, and gets gunned down in Genocide.

Toriel believing that it’s been a long time since a previous human fell when she sees Frisk in Undertale doesn’t mean much, she mostly lives isolated in the Ruins, with the other monsters being too afraid to speak with her, considering this and just generally how much seemed to have happened within that year, time could have felt much slower. Alternatively you could argue that the 6 humans all fell within months of each other, and that a years gap is a long time in comparison to the rate the first 6 fell (or 5, since she says the exact same thing to Clover).

Both Flowey and Clover using file 1 at the end of Genocide doesn’t fit what we know about save files no, however I feel it is a little nit-picky to use it as a definitive reason to discredit how well UTY fits into canon, after all the only thing you’d need to do is change the numbers and this would be fixed.

The Gunsmith having been born a week before the Human Vs Monster war doesn’t go against anything we already know. As stated before, we know that at least some monsters like Gerson do live for a very long time.

Flowey having more determination than Clover also doesn’t break anything. Flowey was injected with DT from 5 human Souls. The thing is that Frisk was special when it came to the amount of determination they had.

Unlike with most of the other cast, nobody in Undertale actually indicates that Flowey never met a human prior to Frisk.

Chujin being a boss Monster doesn’t contradict what we know about Boss Monsters. We know that the Dreemurrs are boss monsters, but nothing tells us that they are the only boss monsters.

Argument 6: the nature of the SAVE files contradicts Undertale Yellow

Here we go, the penultimate argument I shall argue against. Never did I expect for this obscure piece of Undertale lore to be the bane of my existence but here we are. For a short time I thought that this could not be countered, only after I had walked away from a discussion completely defeated did the pieces finally start to come together, and now finally… I have an explanation.

First things first, let’s look at the 10 save files. The files go from file 0 to file 9. We know that File 0 likely belongs to Chara due to it being the one that we save with in Undertale, and that file 9 belongs to Frisk since it works as the games Autosave/Checkpoint system. File 8 would then of course belong to Flowey, not just because it’s the one just before Frisks but because File 8 appears in your files after you beat Omega Flowey to mark your completion of a Neutral run, likely implying that his previous SAVE was of course when he was Omega Flowey. Flowey also uses files 2, 3 and 6 throughout the Omega Flowey battle, and since Toriel implies that other humans who fell were also able to save and reset, we can assume that 2-6 likely belonged to previously fallen humans.

Now the only files that need an explanation are file 1 and file 7, and I’ve seen 2 interesting theories for this. The first is that file 1 belongs to Asriel after he took Chara’s Soul, and the other is that file 7 belongs to Lemon Bread since they know what a SAVE point looks like and tries to trick us with it; but the thing is, which one of these are true? Surely it can’t be both since we know one needs to belong to the 6th… okay I’ll cut that out you already know I’m going to say they are both true.

So for Asriel having file 1, he absorbed Chara’s Soul so should have all of their determination and therefore should also have overtaken their ability to SAVE. Of course it’s unlikely that Asriel would have made anything out of it since the idea of saving and loading was fairly alien to Flowey, however that doesn’t necessarily rule out the possibility that Asriel didn’t SAVE or at least have a file created.

Lemon Bread is a bit more complicated, and we are gonna need to look into the order of events within the True Lab to try and work this out. Firstly, we need to look at some of the true lab entries.

ASGORE asked everyone outside the city for monsters that had "fallen down."

Their bodies came in today.

They're still comatose... And soon, they'll all turn into dust.

But what happens if I inject "determination" into them?

If their SOULS persist after they perish, then...

Freedom might be closer than we all thought.

This is entry 6, when the fallen down monsters are given to Alphy’s and have Determination injected into them.

I've chosen a candidate.

I haven't told ASGORE yet, because I want to surprise him with it...

What happens when something without a SOUL gains the will to live?

This is entry 8, Alphy’s gets a hold of a golden flower that she injects Determination into.

This is entry 13, when the fallen monsters started to regain consciousness, 7 entries after they were first delivered.

Seems like this research was a dead end...

But at least we got a happy ending out of it...?

I sent the SOULS back to ASGORE, returned the vessel to his garden....

And I called all of the families and told them everyone's alive.

This is entry 15, by this point all the monsters that had fallen down were awake, and the still not conscious Golden Flower was still just a Flower, being returned alongside the human Souls.

This is entry 16, the fallen down monsters started to melt together and create the amalgamates.

Finally, we have entry 18, when Alphy’s noticed that the Flower seems to have disappeared from the garden, 10 entries after she first selected it.

So, why are these entries so important? Well we know that to have ever held the ability to SAVE, Lemon Bread would have to had held the right amount of Determination before Flowey first became conscious in the garden, and did they? Yes, yes they did. Flowey could have awakened anywhere in the timeframe between entry 15 when he was returned to entry 18 when Alphy’s noticed him gone, however all the fallen down monsters that were injected with Determination were already awake by this point, and therefore prior to Flowey waking up, they would have been the most determined beings in the underground, perhaps with enough determination that whichever monster happened to have the most was able to SAVE. The time that they would have had with the ability would also have at least been for longer than Asriel had it since Flowey can’t have awoken until after a couple entries later at the bare minimum. Of course since this follows the idea that Lemon Bread had the SAVE ability since they knew what a SAVE point looks like, we can assume that the monster in question would have been Shyren’s sister, since I doubt that the Moldbygg and Aaron that also make up Lemon Bread would hold such a role.

Argument 7: Flowey’s backstory

I really thought I was done with this infuriating Flower, but it appears not. For there is a single hole I need to clear up… Flowey’s Genocide speech. Of course this should be fairly simple to clear up-

Ah… well okay this makes things interesting. If Flowey didn’t know where the Souls were stored then that would make it very hard to believe that Flowey ever encountered a human before Frisk since if that were the case then Flowey would definitely have an opportunity to sneak by and see where they are hiding, however this is not what the dialogue actually means. Flowey knew where the Souls were, he sneaks in to steal them in Neutral while we are talking to a defeated Asgore, his only issue was that he wasn’t able to get them out without Asgore. In repeated Neutral runs he still just waits until we are distracted with Asgore to take the Souls, and in Pacifist he takes them while the main cast are all distracted which again is when the canisters are open and available.

On a last note, here’s some dialogue that actually helps the idea that Flowey encountered another human.

Guess who's doing rewatches again? It's me, and well, not entirely a rewatch:

Yes, that's right, it's Enter the Matrix. Because it's criminal that for a blog named for the little ship that could, I've haven't actually done a deep dive on the game itself! So I'm going to fix that!

I'm also going to play through as both Niobe and Ghost, as depending on who you're playing, the missions play out slightly different, and the cutscene dialogue varies as well. Also, not going to do like a  blow by blow kinda thing. Only going to comment on things that caught my  interest, or seem rather amusing to me.  If you want a little more context, I suggest checking out the couple of playthroughs/cut scene compilations on youtube.

Also of note, the game picks up right after the Animatrix short Final Flight of the Osiris.

Anyway, let's get to it!

AND IT'S THE MAIN REASON I'M STILL HERE, BECAUSE OF THIS PESSIMISTIC SNARKY COWARD RIGHT HERE. And he's self aware about it as well.

Also interesting to note is that according to this cutscene, Sparks has been operating on board the Logos for 3 years. Now, a standard US navy tour of duty (and I'm going with Navy rather than Army as Zion's army is referred to as a Navy fleet) is between 2-3 years. Not really going anywhere with this, but it's interesting to note.

Niobe is a 'my way or the highway' kinda person. No wonder it didn't work between her and Morpheus. It's also telling that Ghost has known Niobe for long enough to know that this is what she's like. I wonder if Ghost is the glue in this ship dynamic? As in, he knew Niobe and Sparks separately before they knew each other, if that makes sense?

And it's the little hovership that could, the little lightning bug of the fleet! Those red lights on the ship look like they're the same as the ones on the sentinels. I wonder if a bulb blows or something they scavenge one from a deactivated squiddie as a replacement?

It's not particularly clear, but I never realised that Niobe's hair is tied with what looks like string with gold in it? Maybe a metal band with gold on it? I'm not sure, but it's pretty!

Also, I appreciate that they give a reason why Niobe is going after this drop, rather than waiting for someone else (ie: Neo) to go get it.

Also, saying are you red or blue on this is a very cool in universe way of saying are you with me or not?

The subtitles are missing here, but what he says:

"You know me Niobe. It's not a choice, it's a way of life."

Ghost, you're awesome, you know that, right?

I get Sparks' complaint here, there are only two of them, and it would be a lot safer to wait for back up to help them out. But nope, you know what Niobe's like, get it done.

Also, as I remarked earlier, the fact that Niobe is willing to risk going in without support , especially given what she says about Thaddeus not using the drops unless he had no choice? And now they're all dead? They definitely need to get that package before the agents do.

I personally love Niobe's little eye roll here.

I also love that Ghost is more chill and amused by Sparks than exasperated like Niobe is. Yeah, Ghost is the glue holding the team together.

Also, a little mention of Zion funerary practices. As someone pointed out to me years ago, I suspect that the gardens is similar to the Exodus fleet's method of burial, but who knows?

Yup, words to live by!

Once again, Niobe is rolling her eyes behind the sunnies. This is what she has to put up with. Also, I would love to think that one time Sparks pranked Ghost by running some program that sent his guns soaring upward.

I always used to think that Ghost was the serious, no nonsense one in the crew, but I'm beginning to think I'm wrong on that front.

Sparks, why do you want his boots? They're too small for your big feet!

Niobe has great taste in old muscle cars. Good old 1967 Pontiac Firebird, in eggplant purple instead of black. Very stylish!

I wanna talk about "The Calling"

That episode is pretty much my favorite, but there is something that's been bugging me a lot. Something I haven't really thought about much earlier, and that is the reaction certain characters have to it that differs from everyone else. Those characters are Maura, Eyk, Angel, Krester, and, believe it or not, Wilhelm (mustached German Adam Driver). So, correct me if I'm wrong:

Yes, we have all the characters that survived the calling and seemed to be unaffected, but most of them knew what was going on, and as soon as everyone started jumping off the ship, they started locking themselves up or tying up their own hands in an attempt to control themselves from doing the same. Well, everyone except Iben, who was affected like everyone else, but stopped by Anker, Tove and Franz.

We don't count Daniel, Elliot and Sebastian cause they're insiders and wouldn't be affected in any case. But that very fact makes Maura and Eyk's reactions weirder. Also, Wilhelm's partially.

Maura and Eyk don't react to it at all. Yes, they are scared of what is happening and weirded out by people jumping overboard, but the calling has zero effect on them. They don't lock or tie themselves like the others. They look for each other while it's happening. They find each other and end up in Eyk's cabin. Maura is explaining everything she's been hiding from Eyk while they just casually watch through the portholes as the bodies fall into the water. So, why aren't they at least affected like everyone else who was immune to it, but still doubted their own actions?

Wilhelm seems unaffected, too. He looks scared shitless watching people just drop, but unlike the rest of the crew, he's not hearing the tik-tok, and he is aware of everything. Until Sebastian deactivates him. There was no reason for him to turn Wilhelm off at all unless he knew he would question things and realize something others couldn't. We knew Franz was a lot more than an unimportant crew member, but Wilhelm seems to be of more importance, too.

Then we have Krester. Yes, Krester jumped off, but I think a lot of people noticed that he actually did it on purpose and was aware of what he was doing, unlike everyone else. It was like he simply gave up and used the chance to die when no one questions it. Was it cause he couldn't face everything that was going on in his life anymore? Or was it something else?

And maybe the most interesting case, Angel. He looks affected by it, just like everyone else who jumped, but he seems to be the only one who actually fights it. He hears the calling and he knows what it is, so he goes to his room, sits on the floor, covers his ears, and starts singing a children's song in order to fight the noise away. Like a child afraid of the dark. This is completely opposite of Krester, who surrenders to his weakness in spite of being able to escape it.

I don't know what all this means, but it's very interesting to try and analyze it.

genuine question: how can we use this website to be less annoying to others?

Glad to give my thoughts. Like I said, I’m very petty and most of this stuff probably isn’t as big a deal to most people. Anyway I’m bad at being brief so I added a readmore. Here are my personal rules:

1: Don’t add anything to the body of a post unless you have something that you really feel will add some degree of value, meaning, humor, context, or at least something to people further down the reblog chain.

This is the most important rule. Adding something to a post makes it longer, it makes it so everyone who reblogs it in the chain after you has to see it. If you have nothing to add but “wow” or “holy shit” you are lengthening the post for no reason. Those reactions can easily go in the tags.

This is also the reason I think gimmick blogs are so annoying. It’s one thing for a “heritage post” blog to reblog things related to its respective gimmick. Simply reblogging them puts that thing on their blog, so anyone looking at it or following them because they want to see “heritage posts” will see it. But they go a step further and add “X heritage post” for no real reason other than to brand the post as theirs.

When I see a post that I like that has useless additions that take up space while adding nothing I get mildly annoyed and go to the reblog of the person who reblogged it before they did just to trim the useless comments off. But if that person deactivated then I can’t trim the comment. Tumblr lets you trim to the original post without any of the additions regardless of if op is deactivated or not with the little X on the reblog menu, but only to the original post. It’s better than nothing though

This whole point is, to me, a bit of tumblr etiquette that makes it so you don’t have to see unrelated comments from someone you don’t follow just because they thought to add a pointless comment way up the chain. This definitely is petty, but if you remember how the old tumblr formatting worked, this was extremely important because each addition took up even more screen space with the line to the next persons url and squished the original post into smaller and smaller spaces. So that’s probably why I feel so strongly about it even though it doesn’t matter as much anymore.

2: The tags are mostly your free space to say what you want, BUT try and respect that OP will likely see them.

A LOT of communication done on this website is done through talking in the tags. That’s not what they were originally meant for but that doesn’t matter anymore. People will likely be looking in their notes to see tags by their mutuals.

The original poster can and will see every tag on a post, unless they delete the post or mute notifications. Mute notifications seems like it doesn’t work, but that’s because it only mutes future notifications on the post, the tags in your notes before muting will still be there regardless

This is to say that in most situations, if the op is someone like me who uses their notes to communicate with their mutuals and others in their communities, your irrelevant tags might also be there and annoy them. So use courtesy when tagging. Thankfully tumblr cuts off tags after a certain point on the notes page but still keep it in mind. I go overboard writing mini essays in the tags all the time, and while I do think that is a little annoying I do it anyway so I can’t blame people.

3: Keep blorbo tagging to a minimum if you can help it.

This is probably my most controversial stance, but blorbo tagging can be really annoying in certain circumstances.

The biggest offender to me are tagging make characters on posts about women. I don’t care that you think he’s your babygirl or whatever, I find this extremely annoying. I get it, sometimes a post fits your character really closely but the gender is wrong, but usually it doesn’t and they’re just doing this on any post even slightly related to a single aspect of a male character they care about. Often because most tumblr fandom people couldn’t be bothered to care about female characters if that was the only way to escape a saw trap alive.

There are other blorbo tag type things that annoy me, and again I’m a petty bitch, so take it with a grain of salt. But to me this one is a little personal (for lack of a better word). One of my first big posts on this blog was about wizard girls leaning in to kiss and having the brims of their hats get in the way. I didn’t mind the blorbo tagging about men that much, but they got less and less related to the post that it was annoying. The last straw before I deleted the post (back when I didn’t realize mute notifications actually worked. It might not have at the time) was a tag about their male blorbos leaning in to kiss and their belt buckles got in the way???

Idk I just find blorbo tagging in general mildly annoying and only do it when the post is an extremely perfect fit for on the characters I care about. I often block people for blorbo tagging about characters from things I dislike, I’m petty and the block button is fun for me to press, so I do that often. :)

4: NOT EVERY POST IS ABOUT YOU!!!

If you see a post that isn’t about you or your demographics or gender or whatever, you really don’t need to make it about you. That will very likely annoy op, especially because no one would have anything against you if you went and wrote your own post inspired by whatever the post in question said.

Not every post about lesbians needs to be made about gay men. Not every post about trans women needs to be made about trans men. Not every post about women needs to be made about men. And probably most important:

Not every post needs to be made about white people!

I know you might be thinking how writing something in the tags about your experience as a white person relating to what op is talking about, but I promise you they don’t want to hear it from us. They almost certainly are seeing tags from other white people because for some reason we can’t seem to see someone posting about issues of racism without having either the “I’m sorry for being white” or “white devils advocate” voices appear in our heads, just ignore it. Bite your tongue and reblog or move on for the love of god stop pestering the op.

Obviously the lesbian, trans women, and women ones are the ones I see in my notes that are annoying. But I can’t pretend I haven’t seen other white people say some really unnecessary shit in the tags / haven’t seen posts by nonwhite people who are clearly annoyed about how we always make everything about us.

Remember, you can always write your own post!

5: OP didn’t “turn off replies”

This feels like something that wouldn’t happen that often, but multiple times when I’ve made even mildly controversial takes about like video games or whatever, people will either add in a reblog or send me an ask complaining that I “turned off replies because I was afraid of hearing them disagree” usually followed by them calling me a coward. It’s very simple, I have reply settings so that people I follow and people who have followed me for at least like a week can reply, that’s it. I don’t have replies from everyone on because most people outside of those categories I don’t care about their opinions and they are annoying. If you can’t reply, that’s probably why. And if they actually did turn off replies, that’s because they don’t want replies, especially from people like the ones I just described.

6: I actually don’t have a problem with spam reblogging

This might seem backwards given my other stances on things taking up unnecessary space like useless comments, but I really don’t mind spam reblogs. I frequently do it when I see art I really like or when there’s a post that really resonates with me. Yes, it is annoying! No, I probably won’t stop. I do it so I can’t judge other people who do too. I am trying to keep it to like 5 times at most though, any more is just overkill.

7: OP is a stranger, not your friend

This one applies basically everywhere on the internet, but unless the person who made the post is someone who is like a mutual or someone that’s you’ve interacted with a lot before, they’re probably a stranger. Don’t try to be “playfully rude” or overly familiar. It’s annoying and weird and you will get blocked.

8: If you’re sending an anonymous ask, remember that OP is not going to take you in good faith most of the time

A lot of anon asks aren’t meant to be malicious, but a lot of others are. Bait, hate mail, insults, you name it, there’s a very good reason people like me assume every anon is sent in bad faith for some purpose. If you are going to send an anon ask, try to make it clear that you genuinely just want to ask a question and that you aren’t trying to trick op into saying something you can use to write a callout post against her or whatever.

You did that in this very ask thing and that’s why I’m writing out this long post instead of deleting it or letting it rot in the inbox.

9: Prev Tags etiquette / “Peer Reviewed” Tags

The usage of “prev tags” is controversial, a lot of people have different opinions on it. But with all the changes they made last year that made it harder to see the tags of the person before the person who’s reblog you are viewing, I think prev tags etiquette has changed.

My personal rules for prev tags are to copy the tags into my own tags, and then follow them up with a tag that says “<- prev tags”. Unfortunately tumblr tags convert dashes into spaces for some reason so it ends up looking like “< prev tags”. I’m stubborn and don’t want to like use an emoji arrow though. Anyway, tumblr mobile conveniently allows you to copy the tags of the person you are reblogging from surprisingly easily which I appreciate.

Unlike previous tags, which stay in the tags and don’t turn into an addition to the post, “peer reviewed” tags as they are sometimes called do get added to the post permanently for the remaining blog chain.

The unfortunate truth about this website is that some people have bad opinions on what qualifies as being meaningful enough to be cemented as an addition to the post via “peer review”. As such, the phrase “how could you leave this in the tags 🤣” has essentially become another “you sir have won the internet 🤣”

The shitty part about that is sometimes there are good and meaningful additions in the tags that are worth being added to the post as a whole. But you can add someone’s tags to a post without saying “how could you leave this in the tags”. Anyway this one is more subjective and hard to define so I hope I got my point across at least somewhat.

Anyway, there are probably a few other rules I personally follow that I’m not thinking about right now, but just follow general internet etiquette and try to keep in mind that op is a person who will likely read whatever you type, that covers most things tbh! Tears of the Kingdom: The Final Analysis

Back to our contraption, let's take a look at it now that it's active:

It gives off lasers in all directions. These lasers DO have a range, though

They seem to extend about as long as the ones that've hit the floor do. What purpose these higher lasers serve here, where the only enemies are bokoblins, I don't know; maybe they're here in case moblins spawn.

Something else that drew my attention here, though, was this:

That orange glow there. Lava? A deactivated Sheikah switch? I backed up a few frames to get a closer look:

This bokoblin has a juice backpack.

I have no idea what it does. My first thought is "ranged weapon," but maybe it's something meant to dismantle Ultrahand's adhesive. Do the enemies here learn from Link's strategies?

Moving on, we see this HUGE monster, but before we focus on that, there are two other things I want to point out.

First is Link's armor here. It's blue, with a spiked crown and luminous cuffs. It looks remarkably like Naydra, the ice dragon.

But how do you get this?

The dragons must play some more significant role in the story, even if it's a side quest that rewards you with the chests for it. That's three rewards, all together, presumably from each dragon unless Naydra gets special treatment (which isn't outside the realm of possibility; it was the only dragon of the three to be cursed).

The second thing I want to point out is Tulin. He's giving off glowing threads as he falls—why? What does he have that's doing this? What is it doing for him? He has wings, so it can't be a flight-related thing; is it a treasure he's carrying in a backpack? A spell that's currently active on him?

Back to our boss monster, there are a number of things this guy resembles.

There's Twinmold, from Majora's Mask; their mandibles look similar, and they have the same needle-like square mouth of teeth.

Gohma's Wind Waker incarnation, for similar reasons.

The Minish Cap's Gyorg, with its many eyes and curved mandibles, and its relation to the sky.

And, while not a boss, it does resemble an ice-white version of a Skytail from Skyward Sword.

It also appears to be coming out of a portal, though that could just be part of the effect of this thing tearing through the clouds.

The next clip has malice spiraling outwards like a fireball, consuming everything in its path.

We saw something similar when Zelda sealed Calamity Ganon away at the end of Breath of the Wild, so this might be the seal giving way.

We then cut to Zelda—"I know why I am here. It's...something only I can do." Her appearance here is just like it was when her mentor figure was talking to her. However, if we look at the background-

There is nothing behind her. No settlements, no towers, no sky isles, nothing. Wherever this is, it's fully immune to the absolute chaos that's currently going on—OR she stands on one of the sky isles, though a very plain one, with nothing else to her left.

It's further evidenced here, by this stone, which we get a better view of in the next shot.

Her hands, cupping the golden tear we see at her neck in the mentor shot, stand on an interesting background. We can see that she stands on a stone pedestal of some kind; likely a Zonai structure.

But why does she have the Master Sword, wherever she is?

Let's take a look at that tear, as well. See the runes etched on the surface?

It's the "Recall" glyph we saw in the gameplay trailer, but turned. Thus, the "right side up" for this tear is like this:

This is important later, I swear.

Malice rises in the next shot, and it happens so quickly that it's hard to see the source.

That's Corpse Ganondorf, his arms stretched upwards as he releases it all.

But then the trailer does a very, very clever switcheroo that's impossible to notice at normal speed.

You see these two screenshots? Flip between them for a moment, back and forth. They look like they're from different moments, right?

The second one is exactly one frame after the first. These are two different shots, spliced together.

What does this mean, as far as we're concerned here? I see two options:

The pillars of light happen at multiple moments, possibly whenever the blood moon rises.

This is a different cut of the same cutscene—omitting a point in the middle between Ganoncorpse unleashing the beam and the beam going into the sky.

Regardless of which it is, the beam goes into the sky, surrounded by the malice sparks that accompany the blood moon.

And it explodes.

Alternate Ending to Chapter 41 of 'Heart of the Lion'

Truthfully, Remus didn’t think he’d be able to completely hide that McGonagall’s classroom had been broken into. He didn’t tell the Slytherins this, though, because he had it under control. A decoy prank - he transfigured everything on the professor’s desk into flowers.

On Monday morning, Remus had breakfast in the Great Hall and stopped by the Transfiguration classroom before the first class period. A few third years were milling around, talking about the display of flowers on McGonagall's desk, assuming it was related to the lesson. They glanced at Remus, but assumed the prefect had a reason to be there so said nothing. He just had to retrieve the crystal grid.

There was just one problem.

It wasn’t there.

Fuck.

Regulus had shown him where it was on Saturday, well secured underneath the third table on the right. Remus had deactivated it after he left, he was sure he did, it shouldn't have been easy to find. Not impossible, though…

Mentally he cursed himself and headed down the stairs to potions, managing to grab Evan before he went into the classroom.

“The grid's gone,” Remus muttered, grimacing.

“Fuck.”

“Yeah,” he said with a small huff of a laugh, “It's okay. She should know it was me. None of you will get in trouble.”

“Hm,” Evan said. 

Remus worked with Lily in Potions that day, chewing on the inside of his lip.

Transfiguration was right after lunch and Remus mentally prayed that it would go well. It had been seven years of pranks. There was nothing malicious about the crystal grid or the flowers. If he was right, McGonagall would give him the look where she pressed her lips together so hard he was sure she was trying not to laugh.

It was fine.

News of the flowers had flickered to the seventh years over lunch. More than a few curious glances at the Marauders who, aside from Remus, were confused. For this class he sat next to Peter, looking at the floral display that had remained untouched.

It was lovely, if he did say so himself. An explosion of yellow roses, chrysanthemums, and daffodils, along with a few bursts of Scottish thistles. The purple made a beautiful contrast to the yellow and orange flowers. He had left a bouquet of red lupins and poppies on her chair, where students weren't likely to see unless she showed them. He didn't dare check if they were still there. Privately, he hoped she kept them. He'd transfigured them from his own quills and they were meant as a gift.

“Good afternoon, class,” Professor McGonagall said, “Now, I'm sure you have noticed the interesting display on my desk. Unless I am very much mistaken, it is courtesy of our Mr Lupin.”

Remus flushed and smiled sheepishly, nodding. She made that face, the ‘Secretly I'm proud but I can't show it’ one. 

“While I appreciate a nice bouquet as much as the next witch, I do trust you'll be able to return my belongings to their original state,” she said dryly.

“Yes, professor,” he said, standing up and approaching her desk.

“20 points from Gryffindor,” she said, the corner of her lip twitching ever so slightly, “Now, I would also like to know who your accomplices were,” she held up the crystal grid and raising an eyebrow, “Seeing as you have no Ancient Runes experience yourself.” 

Unsurprisingly, her eyes went immediately to James and Sirius. Her brow furrowed slightly when she saw them looking uncharacteristically stunned. 

“It was me, professor,” Evan said, raising his hand. He was sitting next to a Slytherin girl whose name Remus probably should have known.

The classroom fell silent. While it wasn't a secret that Remus now had Slytherin friends, this was a prank. The kind of thing the Marauders did. Together. 

Remus felt himself go pale, and he couldn't bring himself to look at James, Sirius, or Lily.

Fuck. He hadn't expected Evan to turn himself in. Remus was prepared to lie, say he studied it, say he tricked someone, take the full blame. Fuck.

“You, Mr Rosier?” McGonagall asked, audibly startled, but immediately regained her composure. “While this unexpected display of inter-house unity warms my heart, boys, it is completely unacceptable to break into a locked classroom. 20 points from Slytherin, one week of detention for both of you. And, be advised, Professor Babbling has looked at the grid and your little trick will not work again.”

“Sorry, professor,” Remus mumbled, her desk returned to its former glory.

McGonagall nodded, taking a quick look to confirm her belongings had been unaltered, “Back to your seat, Mr Lupin. 5 points to Gryffindor for the clever display of Transfiguration.”

He made a noise of gratitude and slunk back to his seat before sinking into his chair.

Peter looked at him and frowned.

“I didn't think about how James and Sirius would react,” Remus muttered, holding his hand over his mouth so it wasn't obvious he was talking.

“Honestly, I'm a bit put out myself,” Peter said carefully, “Why did you do this with Evan?”

“They said you read Barty's essay? The apology he wrote for me?” Remus asked, and Peter nodded slowly, his brow furrowing, “It was related to that - the flowers were a smokescreen so even if she knew someone broke in she wouldn't be trying to figure out why.”

Peter's eyes widened, then his face went red, then he shoved a hand over his mouth to hold in his laughter. Remus subtly cast a silencing charm and McGonagall gave them a warning look.

“Oh my goodness, Moony,” Peter hissed, “You're insane!”

“It was a really good essay,” Remus said, rubbing his forehead.

He took in very little of the actual lesson, trying to figure out how to smooth this over with his friends. He hadn't considered how they'd react. It felt as if he'd cheated on them. Maybe he should evaluate that. After he made sure he hadn't managed to fuck things up with the Marauders.

He was slow to pack up at the end of the lesson. They had Charms right after Transfiguration, so they couldn't exactly chat. 

“Oi - Potter, Black,” Evan called after most of the class had trickled out and walked over to the two Gryffindors. All of the Marauders, and Lily, turned to him. Remus held his breath, Lily crossed her arms, and James murmured something to Sirius, keeping a hand on his arm.

“Bee asked Remus to do it. Remus didn't involve you because Bee hates you both,” Evan explained evenly, meeting their gaze and tilting his chin up ever so slightly in defiance. He was shorter than both James and Sirius, not as broad. He was a strong duelist, but it still was a somewhat impressive show to see him staring them down.

Sirius and James exchanged a look, then looked over at Remus before frowning at Evan. 

“Barty Crouch Jr asked Remus to leave Minnie flowers?” James asked carefully.

Evan shrugged, “McG's his favorite professor.”

The Gryffindors did not look especially convinced, but overall the ruffled feathers seemed to have been smoothed.

“Sorry,” Remus mumbled.

“It won't happen again, anyway,” Evan said, shifting his weight to his back leg.

“What?” Remus asked, startled.

“Talked about it with Reggie over lunch. If you're going to let Bee goad you into shit, we're keeping a closer eye on you two,” Evan said pointedly.

“You almost make it sound like you think they'd cheat on you and Regulus,” Lily said warily, frowning.

Evan snorted and shook his head, “Naw. Might get themselves expelled, though.”

“You basically have to kill someone to get expelled,” James pointed out.

“Yeah, Mo– er, Remus knows the school rules like the back of his hand,” Sirius agreed, scowling as if Evan had insulted Remus’s honor, “He won't go too far.”

“Of course, he knows them because at least a dozen were instated in our honor,” Peter said with a smug smile.

Evan sucked in a breath, rolled his lips together and nodded, “Massively underestimated you, Lupin.”

“That was the idea,” Remus admitted, shrugging, pressing his lips together because it didn’t feel appropriate to be grinning, “Better for me if I’m unobtrusive,” he crossed his arms and tilted his head, “I did scour the rules to make sure we wouldn’t get into too much trouble - there’s a reason I set it up so I’d take the fall.”

There was a knock on the door frame. “Did you lot forget you have Charms?” Barty asked, leaning in and looking skeptically around the room. 

“Why the hell did you ask Remus to turn Minnie's things into flowers?” Sirius demanded, too much of a growl. 

Barty responded by straightening to his full height, which was just taller than Sirius, and baring his teeth, “Got a problem with that?”

“Yeah, actually,” Sirius stalked over, “I have a problem with you getting my friend in trouble.”

“Lupin's a big boy. Makes his own choices,” Barty drawled, arms crossed over his chest, lips curled into a cruel sneer.

“For fuck's sake,” Remus groaned, stepping between them, “You're both scary guard dogs, will you stop?”

He wasn't sure who looked more offended, but Lily and Peter snickered and James and Evan grabbed their respective boyfriends and they were able to make it to Charms in one piece.

So, I used to pretty active here, some of you might remember me. I'm not an army anymore but I still have a soft spot for jikook so I occasionally check on what they've been up to, but I don't delve deep at all and miss a lot of stuff. In the past few days however I was overcome by a sudden jikook-missing wave and started going through some of my tags from when my blog was active which made me miss them even more (and also made me realize that the overwhelming majority of the blogs I used to reblog from have since deactivated or just stopped posting/turned their blogs into something else, which was a bit sad). So I went to the jikook tag and started browsing a bit to see what was going on in the shipdom. I was a bit surprised to see how little activity there is in the tag compared to a few years ago, and there seems to be quite a mess going on: extremely polarized views compared to before, dubious amounts of delulu theories, and especially a lot of jikookers dropping the ship for one reason or another, although most or the reasons given make little sense to me (yes, I did see THAT post and all I'm gonna say is.. yikes). And like, you do you. We don't have to agree on everything. You know more than I do anyway lol, since I don't follow jikook closely. But there was one specific thing that kinda baffled me. The JM tattoo discourse. I'm late to the party, I know. I'm sure a lot was said at the time, but I wasn't around back then checking the tag. I was vaguely aware that jk talked about his tattoos in a live, and claimed the ARMY tattoo on his hand referred to armys (duh) and the J referred to Jungkook (makes sense). I literally didn't think anything of it at all at the time, I just thought it was nice of him to explain the meaning of his tats. But while scrolling through the jikook tag these past few days I realized that quite a lot of people considered that to be some sort of "debunking" that the JM stands for Jimin, sometimes to the point of dropping the ship because of it, or considering it the ultimate proof that jikookers have lost it if they still believe it stands for jimin and are now moving like teakookers or whatever. And I'm just, confused. I was like where is the debunking. Now. I'm not one for delulu theories. I think they can be fun sometimes, and I used to reblog some of them from time to time but for the most part I just thought they were cringe and always preferred to focus on jikook's actual actions and words (I never really actually cared if they were "real" or not, I just love their relationship and have enough reasons to believe they have feelings for each other and are attracted to each other, but how they deal with these feelings and attraction isn't really any of my business). However, the JM thing. I wasn't even aware it was considered a theory. For me it's just.. there. His ring finger literally spells out JM. Not a theory, it's a fact. Jk knows that JM is frequently used to refer to jimin, we literally have abundant proof of it. Jimin knows it. Armys know it. So unless you think Jungkook is a complete idiot who has somewhat never realized how that's gonna be perceived (which is possible I guess, but very unlikely), it was obviously deliberate. However, I never, ever, ever for a second thought that Jungkook would ever "confirm" it verbally one day. I see it as a statement on its own, that doesn't require an explanation and will never get one because it doesn't need one. It's just there, it speaks for itself, you can just choose whether you wanna see it or ignore it. So I was just puzzled to see people think there was any "debunking" going on. He didn't lie. Of course the M is part of ARMY. Of course the J is for Jungkook. But the JM is still for Jimin. He's not gonna say it because there is no need for him to. In a way, it's comparable to gcft. It's all there for everyone to see, and he knows it, but he's never gonna spell it out. He's never gonna say this is my love declaration for Jimin in video format. He doesn't need to, you'll see it on your own if you're open to it.

I really mean no offense but I feel that sometimes some people go so hard with the whole "I am SKEPTICAL because I'm smart and not a delulu shipper like you and I don't wanna be associated with you clowns" that it ends up circling back to being delusional except in the opposite direction. Apparently some of you genuinely think he just happened to put the J above the M, on his ring finger, and it just HAPPENS to read JM vertically. He also concidentally happens to never cover up the J with rings, and regularly gets the JM touched up but not the other letters (and I DID think jikookers were being delusional about this at first, but it kept happening and became undeniable so what was the point of denying it, I thought). All a coincidence. It doesn't mean anything, because Jungkook pointed out the obviousness of ARMY meaning his fandom and J meaning Jungkook. Did I miss something huge here?

So since it has been brought to my attention some rumours have been circulating about me, I just wanna make a few things clear.

First off, I did not supposedly stalk anyone's blog for years.

If need be, I can even provide my IP address (aka self-dox myself) to prove any screencaps to be false, but I'm nowhere near obsessive enough to check somebody's blog everyday. Like, sure, I might visit blogs of ex-mutuals every once in a blue moon out of curiosity, but contrary to popular belief, tumblr doesn't take up 90% of my time and at best, I would maybe lurk on COAR to read new confessions or refresh my dash once per day just in case non-active partners of mine have returned.

If anything, my time has been mostly comprised of going to work and grinding mobile gachas; in fact, should I notice I have replies to write, I will log in, throw my replies into the queue/save written replies in my drafts folder to queue later, and then fuck off to do other stuff. Honestly, provided someone has beef with me, it's unlikely I would know why unless my encounter with them on tumblr had been rather recent.

To my knowledge, I haven't harassed anyone off of tumblr.

Now, did I have spats with my own fair share of people over the eight or nine years I have been on this hellsite? Yes. Have I made vague posts about ex-mutuals, unintentionally ghosted others, privately vented to friends about people from the RPC I personally can't stand, and commented on COAR confessions? Also, yes.

But that being said, the only one I've ever sent anon hate to was myself and if I played a part in somebody deactivating their blog or quitting tumblr roleplay altogether, then that's certainly news to me, because I don't like participating in public smear campaigns, to the point where I even avoid name dropping certain users in my rules or PSAs I've made. Heck, the way I see it, I can only ever recall myself being relentlessly harassed/bullied, because when it comes to me for some reason, people on this site sadly don't know how to block and move on like normal people.

I also have never encouraged anyone to delete their blogs or chase them out of the RPC and have only ever reported one person due to the fact they would not stop posting about me/attempt to provoke me into engaging in drama on a site that we both frequent despite having me blocked; therefore, I have no idea where the narrative of me harassing people off of tumblr even comes from. Besides, I'm nowhere near popular enough to influence whatever following I have to dog pile on whoever I have grievances with, let alone have many people who would go to bat for me each time I'm being unfairly criticized. Honestly, the one time someone did call out my harasser, it was something I had no control over and they did so without my permission, to the point where I did privately tell them to stop url-dropping me and engaging with this person on my behalf... because again, I just wanted to be left alone.

Furthermore, I make it very clear to mutuals I've vented to that they don't have to unfollow/block roleplayers I've had bad experiences with... so I'm not sure if this is merely a case of the Mandela Effect rearing it's ugly head, individuals making up bad faith reasons to dislike me, or an issue of mistaken identity (especially since I'm likely not the only one who goes by the mun handle, 'Livi', and it has happened before where somebody had wrongly assumed a blog belonged to another person).

Of course, it's possible I could have forgotten stuff, as I have had more than three blogs over the years, so naturally, I won't remember all the OOC posts I have ever shared, let alone every instance before 2022 where I have been involved in drama... but regardless, I refuse to take accountability for things I have never done unless you personally come to me off anon with screenshots that provide evidence.

like that guy's sideblog that he made specifically to threaten & doxx me IS still up, and the info he put on there is inaccurate + now out of date, but except for the one post where he put every phone number associated w my (v common lol) last name in my old city of residence, those posts are still up, too.

my page has been deactivated twice for no reason, and after nonstop emails about it, I was able to get it restored both times. but that never happened to someone who said he was going to have me shot & raped. and even the little bit staff did in my defense? took weeks.

I don't condone harassment & threats or cyberstalking or doxxing, I've warned ppl I legitimately do not fuck with & do not like to protect public facing information when I've stumbled on it bc it's a wild world out here. some of the comments I deleted off this breakdown post specifically were even just things tagging the wrong person, or bickering w someone I'd already blocked, bc they're getting violent threats, too, and that's bullshit. you will not piggyback off me to swing on anybody else like that, even if you think they fucking deserve it, bc I refuse to be embroiled in anybody else's bad blood or to be used in this way.

but I'm very sure mercury's getting gnarly messages, too. and mercury is still nuked.

jas has turned off her inbox & limited DMs + post replies, and is clearly blocking people who reblog with commentary she disapproves of. that's her prerogative. she's done EVERYTHING tumblr staff has told evetybody else is the absolute limit of what can be done to protect ourselves.

and it sucks people are calling her names. it sucks if she's getting threats. it sucks if mercury was nuked without jas's input, because clearly if there was ANY consideration for how the backlash was going to affect jas, it wasn't thought out well if at all. but she has protection & tools at her disposal that the rest of us don't, and they were utilized over something trivial & frivolous that came back to kick her in the ass. she has the same options as any other regular joe schmoe blogger on this site now, and while I'm sympathetic to that, bc it's a shitty unfair system, I don't feel sorry for her when she ultimately created this situation herself wrt the reactions SHE'S getting to the way she reacted to mercury's post.

and I won't feel sorry until or unless whatever new options jas later gets + already got (incl turbodeleting the opposition over petty grievances) get handed to the rest of us, too. bc this was a pretty cut & dry example of abuse of power. and if nuking blogs is a "break glass in case of emergency" moderation tool, fine, it doesn't need to be open access; but it's applied unevenly, for personal or political biases, and if it's not meant for civilian users' petty squabbles, then it should never have been used here.

it's a shitty situation, but you don't get to cry about how people react or what comes up when people google your name when you're the party at fault. and tbh I hope this is the last post I have to make about it.

Okay, after braving the wilds of Threads, I was compelled to try out a couple of other social media apps/sites as well.

I will go ahead and say that, while Threads does indeed need a lot more work, and it does indeed keep track of far more of your information than a site should period . . . the facts remain that this stage is literally just its beta, and Ol' Zuck would have already been tracking that information on you through FB and IG. TBH, if you were already using IG, there's no real reason not to use Threads outside of if you just don't want to.

That scare of 'you can't delete Threads without deleting IG!' is not technically incorrect, but it leaves out the fact that Threads isn't actually an independent app at this stage (if it'll ever be) but an off-shoot of IG. Wanting to delete your Threads account without removing your IG would be like trying to remove your basement without taking apart your house.

Also, the gist of the claim that you can't delete ignores that you can deactivate -- it's effectively the same as deleting, but it leaves you the option to come back, and prevents people from being able to snatch your handle.

Also ALSO, you can very much uninstall the physical app from your device, it's just your account will remain yours no matter what.

I don't personally recommend Threads yet since the search function is basic, tags aren't a thing yet, you can't see the posts you've like, there's no explore page or DM function, and they're still working out glitches, but those are things the staff has reported that they're actively working to address. TBH, as far as a straight bird app clone goes, it's already better than, say, Spoutible.

Now, Spoutible is purporting to be trying to be the next Twitter, but after testing out the site and app, I'd say it's more like if Twitter and Facebook had a child, but it turned out the child was actually adopted and just happened to share a number of traits with its parent sites. Spoutible is not under Muskrat's X Corp umbrella nor Zuck's Meta umbrella; they're their own thing.

Their functionality isn't great, but they technically have everything a person would want from a social media app. My main gripes are that I can't change my location to say anything but the United States (I can't select anything but the US despite there being a dropdown list), things that should scroll DON'T scroll unless you finesse it in a very non-intuitive way, and the site itself just feels rather bland. Clean, but bland.

Also, it apparently isn't available for iOS yet? This last part isn't a gripe, just a statement of bemusement. With the type of posts I see on this site, you would think it would be filled with iOS users -- these people just give off that vibe. Do with that information what you will.

The one that really surprised me, though, was Cohost. Let me say this out of the gate -- it's in beta. It's unashamedly in beta, and they have what they're working on right on the side of their main page/your dashboard at all times, but . . . it's in beta the same way that AO3 is in beta.

Cohost is known for trying to be a Twitter alternative even though they loudly reject that claim, but it actually has more in common with Tumblr. The profile page is like Twitter, but the dashboard does posts and reblogs in exactly the same manner as Tumblr, their tagging and liking function is the same, the feed is exclusively chronological, you can save post drafts, and they filter content through a blacklist as well.

Color palletes are part of their paid features at the moment, but considering it has no ads and promises to remain that way, AND the only restriction against 18+ content is that it must be tagged and marked appropriately, that's a small compensation. They're still rolling out features like asks, and DMs aren't a thing yet, but I'm actually really hopeful for this one. It gives me the same energy as when AO3 was first becoming a thing.

It's also primarily filled with furries at the moment, but that's just a matter of fact and something to be taken as a pro or con depending on the individual.

With Cohost and Pillowfort marching steadily forward in their development, I actually feel really good about Tumblrina's being able to find a new and suitable home if Tumblr ever makes itself completely uninhabitable. Really the only downsides to moving over to these two sites right away is that there are still a number of features left that Tumblr does better or has that they don't, and that there's no telling exactly when these sites will be at the state that their staff teams consider officially out of beta.

Alright so... Meteors has a Sewerhell in it.

For those that missed what that is, it's my name for the place where all of the retired, broken and scrapped animatronics are stored. It's from the first part of the Bobbiedots I think? I've not read anything but the Sewerhell big and the various interactions with the animatronics (Moon, DJ, Roxy kind of, I forget who else, if anyone, but yeah those guys) cause I don't care for more if Andrea's shit.

Basically though, it introduces the idea that Fazbear Entertainment have never scrapped anything in their lives and instead, just dump the animatronics in a large room, under the Plex, that coincidentally has a huge sewer pipe running through it. Some of the animatronics are still active, which is what makes this concept so fucked up. If they get damaged enough, their parts aren't reused, they're literally just dropped in that room as they are, still aware of what's happening, and having to be trapped, alone in the dark, until their battery finally withers away.

You might be able to see where I'm going with this already, but the other thing this place tells us about, is that there are multiples of probably every animatronic we've seen thus far. What I've read has a line that says a Glamrock Chica reaches out towards the protagonist. she's not the Glamrock Chica, she's not just Glamrock Chica, she's a Glamrock Chica.

Meteors has the same thing. There is a large room full of rubbish, scrap, outdated parts, glitching staffbots, endos, deactivated or broken animatronics, and still functioning, fully aware animatronics. A lot of them aren't really aware, going after anything and everything they see with no thought, rhyme or reason. Some of them (currently one, maybe two so far) are animatronics that I'll be adding to the roster of regular characters. Others are completely deactivated, non-functioning, and basically just consciously on pause until someone chooses to repair them again. They're not dead unless the chips containing their programming, their personality and their memories are destroyed, they're just on pause. So uh... It doesn't even really count as a graveyard... More like the stasis chambers from Portal or something

When I say I want to explore Sewerhell in Meteors, I mean that characters like Chica would go in there looking for answers. Roxy would be able to somewhat see what's in there before she lost her fancy eyes, and is the only one that knows where it is. An army of feral staffbots right under their noses just like everything else has been. Characters that never reached their public debut suddenly having a chance to see the sun again. The differences between how each version of the same character grew and changed with their environment. Whole new levels of crimes committed by Fazbear being uncovered in the only place they can still find clues to them.

I just want to fuck around with that stuff really. I'm gonna work out the history of each character within the Plex, get a solid number on how many there have been of each of them, along with the history of each attraction should it be needed, and then maybe play a game where you give me a character and a number and I'll tell you what happened to that version.

At the moment? I have a fair few ideas for Roxy's predecessors, the Foxy line, the discontinued Mangle, some other guys I'm adding in like Barney the Wood Duck, Chica's Cupcake and then of course, Chica herself. The whole Sewerhell thing is going to be really important for Chica specifically and she's going to be the one to set the ball rolling on all of that.

DJ is the only one that doesn't have a double down there for definite so far. He's not a Fazbear animatronic in origin, and considering the logs in Security Breach, he's not been there long enough for doubles anyway. The Minis are also very likely not to have any surprise predecessors in there since they're not from the Plex and not even supposed to be functioning at all anyway. The rest? Yeah there's probably another one of them down there... Maybe two...

Askbox is always open if you want to ask about anything Meteors related btw, or maybe offer suggestions on cool stuff to do with predecessors of the main cast of animatronics? Or perhaps... Prototypes? Or new guys like I dunno Glamrock Lolbit or something? Askbox is there friendos we have a LOT of room to play around with this one.

Okie dokie, more addison headcanons :p

Social Patterns

All addisons do (for the most part) is advertise including themselves. When socializing they often act like they are doing a pitch, highlighting why they would be a good friend, lover, general partner and other like things. This often comes off as odd to non-addisons

Addisons with bad pitches tend to be shunned amongst addisons but do better with non-ads

They are usually highly social to the point that it can be detrimental. They thrive off of networking and can become intense without it. It will not kill the ad but it causes them to be more desperate in their work lives which leads to worse sales. Bad sales will get them deactivated

Addisons, while important for Cyber World function, are not considered high-tier citizens, like a more menial working class as depicted below. Because of this a lot of them try to seem very agreeable in public so as not to cause a rift. They are likely to not be defended if a problem arises as it is out of their function to cause such.

Naturally anxious and excitable. Their emotions are easy to read one way or another but they try to hide them both as personal protection and to seem professional. For this reason, ads tend to seem shallow when it comes to conflict

Biology

Addisons like to eat but don’t need to. They technically don’t need to do anything but wash and remain presentable as most of their organs are simply there for show. Very organs actually serve a purpose with a small exception that varies from ad to ad. The only consistent organs are the heart(shaped object), brain, and the lungs

Most other organs that are functional relate to their job in some way or another. Body types are editable, as most start as the default addison body (top heavy but lean, same angular face, etc…) but then they have the options to reorder mass for different body types. Their bodies can naturally change but the data tends to stay in the same format unless drastic shifts in numbers happen

Their colors can vary, despite the main four (orange, blue, yellow, and pink) being the most common. Despite being weird, they are not shunned as long as they are vibrant and correctly tinted. The off colors can be changed for a hefty fee but sometimes the novelty helps them sell. This can also get them unwanted attention from certain investors…

Addisons don’t have any set biological sex/gender difference, as mentioned above they can modify their physical form as they see fit. They don’t have a need for sex organs either but if they want, they can modify themselves to have them. 

Addisons don’t have children but some ads can manifest as childish in appearance depending on the product they sell. These ads often grow with their demographics and modify themselves to “age” as their demographic does (think of an ad meant to sell baby products moving up to toys then teen stuff). They are rarer but tend to be the most popular

Addisons can’t die unless they are deactivated and whipped or injured severely. This only happens when they perform extremely poorly (the cyberworld literally deletes them) or they are severely outdated/defective.

Personality and Other Stuff

Addison's personalities, unlike hobbies which are based on purpose, are determined by their colors. Warmer colors tend to be more intense or more energetic while cooler colors are more level-headed or passive. Brighter tones tend to be more friendly, but overbearing to a degree while darker tones tend to be a bit more reserved but methodical.

Because of this, you are more likely to find addisons of the same tones with each other, as they get along better. Despite this addisons with a diverse shade wheel will tend to last in the long term

They really don’t get a lot of socially normal things to do, hence the object eating or literally buying their silence. Sorta literal as a species if you can’t tell but somehow they make it work.

Overall they really like popups and treat them like dogs/weird family pet things. Kinda don’t like viros but the defect addisons like how defensive they can be for them if treated right.

They do not like ambyu-lances or mauses but hate mauses less than Swatchlings do

I hate to repeat myself each time but since y'all in my asks are dense it's okay I'll say it again, I do not care about my men's personal lives, it is not my business, also I will never ever hate or disrespect their s/o. I am just a fan and I'm only here for what they give me as actors nothing more nothing less, (shipping aside, that's another story for another day and I have to go to work lol).

But seriously, I live in a third world country that has so many issues right now, we can't even find milk, sugar, coffee, vegetable oil, eggs, and everything else is getting more and more expensive everyday, so me investing in a celeb's relationship and "accepting" that it is a certain way, it's not going to magically fix my problems, me investing and spending my time worried about who they date or what/who they do in their private lives is not going to make me find those basic needs products at the grocery store! Regardless of the nature, I really don't care! Why is it so hard for y'all to understand that! Sending me asks and dms with "proofs" and things that I did not ask for isn't gonna make my life better! It isn't going to make our government stop cutting the water every night from 8 pm to 7 am!

Please for the love of God, my life sucks already, and I come to social media to fandom to try and escape the hell that is the real world with enjoying some stuff, and not to deal with things more stressful especially that I made it clear so many times that this blog is the only place that I have left sane and positive!
