I've thought a lot about Victor and Yuuri's growth through their relationship. I have also been transformed by a relationship and it was the most romantic experience ever. Just...like... before I got with my ex I carried my past failures like a permanent burdensome secret (just call me Yuuri lol) but I learned to see myself differently through her eyes. It didn't work out in the end but it was a beautiful experience nonetheless. She taught me that I was loveable without having to perform. She got me out of my head and into my body. We both grew and changed a lot through the course of our relationship. I imagined Yuuri going through the same thing as he fell for Victor.

But the most romantic thing of all in Victor and Yuuri's relationship has got to be their shared passion for skating. They don't rely on each other to be the source of meaning in each other's lives. Their life's work provides meaning, and they just so happen to share it. That's fucking beautiful

For the ‘killer’ themed party he’d pitched to the bar owner, Pei Ming didn’t want to pick someone to dress up like from a film or a comic, because-- well, that’s pathetic. So he’s opted for a jersey with artfully placed fake blood. None on his face, of course, since that’d ruin the view. Out from behind the bar counter for once, he welcomes people to the party with friendly slaps on the back and shakes of a hand. "10% discount on drinks if you know someone who’s been taken out so far," he says cheerily. Because they’ve marked the drinks up twenty percent just for the night. "You look like a man who can appreciate a good photo-- be sure to take advantage of the wall over there, specially decorated for the occasion."

the blue house [Hockey RPF, SidGeno]. I would consider it an ambiguously optimistic ending instead of unhappy, but it definitely was written for an angst fest!

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

the warmest part of winter, which is at risk of being too cutesy.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I've never seen anything specific on AO3, but I know some people got pretty annoyed with some tropes I helped popularize in Yuri On Ice fandom (Victor Nikoforov Has a Foot Fetish, Yuuri Katsuki is a Huge Slut)

9. Do you write smut?

I sure do!

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you have written?

Sort of. Some people have considered Not Just Nothing [SPN] a crossover instead of an AU. It's a Ken Doll AU.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I've seen

Yes, and it is honestly the biggest compliment in the world

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I don't know if I should be revealing this, but I was definitely one of the people who wrote Popular Slut Club under the SturgeonGuy29 name 🤫

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

What an impossible question! Probably SidNate, considering they've been making me see shrimp colors for 6 years now.

15. What is a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Oh god, I don't want to jinx anything here. I really do intend to finish everything I start writing. I have a doc called Starz 4Ever, where Geno becomes a porn star out of spite.

16. What are your writing strengths?

When my dialogue is good, it's really good. I think very highly of my characterization.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Finishing shit!

18. Thoughts of writing dialogue in another language in fics?

I used to do this, and I meaningfully don't anymore unless it's crucial for the plot. I was actually embarrassed going back to a Yuri on Ice fic to see I had written some Victor dialogue in Cyrillic.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I want to say I was writing Seiya/Usagi for Sailor Moon in like, 1999 or 2000, but I couldn't tell you what it was about or where to find it.

20. Favorite fic you have written?

I'm really fond of Say When. Sid/Nate/Andy feels so personal to me at this point. It has my favorite sex scene I've ever written, and I'm eager to post more for the universe.

I also am still proud of we should be stars and perfect tens (Rick and Morty, heed the tags), which is a little rougher with age but I think the execution of two parallel narratives both written in second perspective is well done, and the blue house considering the subject matter.

It’s Yuuri who greets him, running to the door and hugging him viciously as soon as the iron door is out of their way. He jumps into the other boy’s arms without thinking and breathes hurriedly as snow piles slowly over their hot heads.

“I’m so sorry I couldn’t pick you up at the airport.” He says and Minako, who did pick him up and came on the train with Victor, chuckles loudly.

“It’s no problem, Yuuri. I’m here now.” In the past months, Victor’s voice left his whining tone behind and dropped several octaves lower. He doesn’t sound like a child anymore, Yuuri hears certain strength and resilience on him. It’s rich, sweet and powerful. It fits Victor and messes horribly with Yuuri’s gut.

When they talked over grainy video calls, he didn’t sound this mature, this real and Yuuri felt his knees give in at the sound of soft maturity coming from Victor’s throat.

He lets go of him and bows at Victor before reaching for the suitcases when Victor pulls his hand in his own direction.

“It’s okay, I got it.” He says, thinking Victor doesn’t want him to take his luggage.

“Yuuri.” It is then when he lifts his head up, almost gasping when he sees Victor’s silver locks gone and a much, much shorter and fashionable haircut instead. It looks sleek, still soft but also sharp. It's short on the sides and at the back of his head, very short. The top’s longer with a fringe falling in front of his face, almost covering up one eye. It’s hot.

Last time Yuuri saw Victor his long hair was still brushing his shoulders, the streaks of silver perfectly silky in a way that could only be described as luscious, as it had always been. But now its got edge, it’s masculine, too masculine, and Yuuri realizes Victor is not just a pretty baby boy now. Victor turned into a full-blown sex icon with nothing but a decent haircut.

Yuuri yelps. He can’t think like that.

“You look like a model~” He tries to sound teasing, but his voice is rough and small at the same time. Victor blushes.

“Is it horrible?” His complaints are proven to be annoying when even that heady voice can’t make him sound less like a child, and Yuuri feels like laughing. “You hate it!”

‘I hate that I can’t tell you what I really think about it’, Yuuri wants to say but he shakes his head,

“I don’t!” He swears. “It’s pretty, it suits you, you look older. But good older. Not old older.” He scrunches up his nose and Victor lets out a relieved laugh.

“I thought you’d kill me.”

Yuuri rolls his eyes. What he is immune to, though, it’s Victor’s excessive dramatism.

“I’m sure I’ll have plenty of other chances in the future, Vitya.” He huffs, sarcastic, and now he grabs his friend’s suitcase.

“Cheeky ~” Victor laughs, amusedly, and follows Yuuri with his backpack still behind him. Minako is following them closely, muttering something to herself.

“Otosan, Okasan!” Yuuri calls, yelling in rushed Japanese for his parents. “Victor-san is here!”

In what ways is Victor a usual Russian?

Unceremonious (savage) and straightforward (but is patient and not aggressive thankfully)

Public displays of affection and emotions yesss, we don’t hide it when we’re happy and we can be really loud xD 

Is depressed in depressing Russia (when you dive into the depths of metaphysics from the moment you leave your apartment lol or right inside it if you peer into the window). It’s ok if you have a lot of friends and a good family, but if not it really starts getting to you.

…and wants to run away from this environment somewhere to recharge and start a new chapter of life. Travels to other countries to cure the Russian depression ahah. 

Would risk and needs some adventure.
