“One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.” —Joshua 23:10 (KJV)
“Victory Is Yours!” By “Lover of Your Soul”:
“Life gives us interesting turn of events, and at times, the path the Lord takes us through is not one of happiness and pleasure, but one of sorrow, pain and tears. While He takes you through the valley of the shadow of death, while He said that you will have trouble in this world, while He said that you will enter the Kingdom of God through much tribulation, He also promised His peace that passes all understanding, a peace that the world can neither give nor take away, a joy unspeakable that comes only from His presence.
Though your heart may be breaking, though the struggle may have left you in pieces, though you may feel cheated, betrayed and defenceless, your heart can still safely trust in the Lord, for He is the One who fights for you. Though the world may turn against you, He will never leave your side, He will never fail you nor forsake you. Though it may all look like a failure right now, the Lord who gives you victory in all places, is the One who is fighting your battle, and He works in ways you cannot see. His victory is yours to claim and therefore, you have no reason to fear!”

June, 8 (Morning) Devotion
“There fell down many slain, because the war was of God.”
1 Chronicles 5:22
Warrior, fighting under the banner of the Lord Jesus, observe this verse with holy joy, for as it was in the days of old so is it now, if the war be of God the victory is sure. The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh could barely muster five and forty thousand fighting men, and yet in their war with the Hagarites, they slew “men, an hundred thousand,” “for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them, because they put their trust in him.” The Lord saveth not by many nor by few; it is ours to go forth in Jehovah’s name if we be but a handful of men, for the Lord of Hosts is with us for our Captain. They did not neglect buckler, and sword, and bow, neither did they place their trust in these weapons; we must use all fitting means, but our confidence must rest in the Lord alone, for he is the sword and the shield of his people. The great reason of their extraordinary success lay in the fact that “the war was of God.” Beloved, in fighting with sin without and within, with error doctrinal or practical, with spiritual wickedness in high places or low places, with devils and the devil’s allies, you are waging Jehovah’s war, and unless he himself can be worsted, you need not fear defeat. Quail not before superior numbers, shrink not from difficulties or impossibilities, flinch not at wounds or death, smite with the two-edged sword of the Spirit, and the slain shall lie in heaps. The battle is the Lord’s and he will deliver his enemies into our hands. With steadfast foot, strong hand, dauntless heart, and flaming zeal, rush to the conflict, and the hosts of evil shall fly like chaff before the gale.
Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song:
To him that overcometh,
A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally.

What Is A Christian Overcomer? Exposing The False Overcomer Gospel.
I Need to Set this Straight from the Start. Jesus is the Overcomer Not You, Not Me, Not Anyone Else. Only Counterfeit Christian Churches Teach “Be An Overcomer.” You Must Be an Overcomer, is All About You, Your Good Works. False Counterfeit Christian Churches Mock Jesus by saying You Have to Do This or That to Be Saved. They are Telling You that if You Do Not Overcome, be an Overcomer You will Go…

Realigned Focus during Adversity
How do you deal with Nay Sayers or those that would desire to cast doubt on your faith? Believe it or not, the psalmist David had the same issues when he wrote Psalm 3. He did not want to listen his many foes who were telling him God was not going to rescue him or do anything to help him solve his problems. This was written when he was struggling with his son Absalom who was trying to take over…

Psalm 129:2 Afflicted, But Not Down
Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth; yet they have not prevailed against me. Psalm 129:2 No matter who a person is or what position a person holds, there comes time in which that person goes through afflictions or troubles. There are good days and bad days. When the affliction is strong enough, many people are knocked down by it. The trouble wins in their lives, rather than…

Stop and Think About It.

Jehovah gave Joshua and the people of Israel an assignment. He also gave them a promise in Joshua 6:5. That if they obeyed His commands, He would give them the city of Jericho. They obeyed Jehovah’s assignment for them, and He came through. “Shout, for Jehovah has given you the city.”
Are you waiting for a promise from God to be fulfilled in your life, or simply waiting for God to move? Have you ever thought that maybe he’s waiting on you? God fulfilled the children of Israel’s promise, but they had to make their move first. What was the last assignment God gave you? Go back and complete it. See if God won’t move. He’s already promised us the victory (1 John 5:4-5), but it’s time that we make our move.

A Powerful Statement
Have you ever watched someone’s poor decisions—even your own—wreak havoc? Have you ever known the heart-wrenching sting of death? Have you ever paused long enough to notice …
This world is beautiful, but also brutal.
It is full of life, but also loss.
The apostle Paul once wrote a letter to the believers in Corinth, Greece, reminding them that it’s because of sin (falling short of God’s standards) that death has ravished the world. But Paul didn’t stop at death and decay. He went on to say:
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57 NLT
To say we can have victory over sin and death—two of our greatest enemies? That’s a powerful statement. It almost sounds too good to be true … except it’s not.
The foundation of Christianity is not only that Jesus died for the sins of the world, but that He was raised to life for the sake of the world.
Choosing to rebel against our Creator, instead of ruling with Him as He intended, has devastating effects: separation from Him, added trouble on earth, and the loss of life—both physical and spiritual.
Yet because of Jesus, death won’t get the final say. Because of Jesus, this isn’t the actual end. Because of Jesus, victory has already been granted to those who trust in Him!
People in Corinth were preaching that there was no life after death—no resurrection from the dead. Yet Paul had the courage to refute their lies with truth.
In the same chapter, Paul points out that everything about the Christian faith hinges on Jesus’ resurrection. If Christ had not been raised, faith is useless and there is no hope. But because Jesus had been raised from the dead, and hundreds of people witnessed His post-resurrected self, everything was different.
Scripture tells us that Jesus is the first of many who will be raised to life again. Imagine the future reunion with other believers! Can you fathom swapping stories with the disciples and other heroes of our faith?
Jesus has already conquered death. And, at the appointed time, death will die forever and every tear will be wiped away. For those of us who believe in Him, there is so much more to come.
Today, we can live from a place of victory!
