🇺🇸Army of the United States🇺🇸: A military lookbook

PART I

The evolution of U.S. Army uniforms from the Revolutionary War to the present day reflects changes in technology, tactics, and the roles of the military:

Revolutionary War (1775-1783): The Continental Army, at this time, did not have a standardized uniform. Soldiers often wore civilian clothing, and the most common item was the blue or brown coat, with a distinctive cocked hat. Militiamen and volunteers wore a variety of outfits.

War of 1812 (1812-1815): The War of 1812 saw the introduction of blue wool coats, often referred to as "roundabouts" or "shell jackets," for the regular army. They were typically trimmed with gold stripes or white. Soldiers also wore the distinctive 'Shako' hat.

Civil War (1861-1865): The Civil War era marked the transition from brightly colored uniforms to the more familiar blue and gray, with distinctive kepis (caps) and frock coats for the Union and Confederate armies, respectively.

Hey Sparkie.. I Know It's Sound Dumb But What Is "KSA"???? I know It Sounds Cool But I'm Trully Curious about that Term.. Care to Enlighting Me??

Well hello there friend.

The only question that is deemed dumb is the one that is never asked in my book!

The KSU is the term @helenofsimblr and I have used in reference to the universe that our characters and stories take place in. While we each maintain a working title for our individual story sides, there are times where our collaborative stories mesh together too. So both exist in the same universe.

The KSU is one of the many multiverses that exist. It is similar to the real world, but not... if that makes sense. It's a multiverse where not all of history happened in quite the same way our real history remembers things. One thing that is blaringly obvious is that smoking in the KSU has not hit the strides that the real world has in regards to health and safety. Only recently have there been suggestions that smoking is bad for pregnancy where in the real world that campaign against smoking started in the 1970s.

Technically it stands for the Kaiju-Simblr Universe... I being Kong and Helen taking the mantle of her favorite Kaiju Godzilla. We aren't always cuddly in the KSU either. The stories can be real and gritty and down right evil in some spots... so we're monsters and we like that we are. It's also a nod to the MCU and DCU as they have inspired some of the stories sets we've written and pose work that Helen does.

Wow! Wowowow!! It's finally DONE!

This set was inspired by 18th century military campaign equipment. This set is really for storytelling, since pretty much all items (aside from the bed and surfaces) are decorative. I'd like to do more add-ons for this in the future, but for now I think we're good as-is.

Some items were converted from the Werewolves pack but are now BGC.

Nothing in particular, I just wanted to do something in Hajime Sorayama's style.

This eroticism of a warm human body, wrapped in the cold shine of chrome; plasticity and sensuality of forms that break the prejudice against metal alloy. Faceless and depersonalized, bound by leather or latex, they hang on jet thrust in a vacuum of uncertainty between being a fetish object or a fetishized woman (as Thomas Foster puts it). Sorayama is one of those cases where hyper-realism isn't just flirting with the audience with his technical skills. It is about giving life to something that cannot be alive and, accordingly, have feelings. But his ladies undoubtedly know how to stir up feelings in others.

This Jess' brother taught her how to shoot when she was 14 (they started with airsoft gun and slowly progressed to real shooting range; their mother never found out about that), so she knows about basic maintenance and safety ("no pointing at people for fun" was first and foremost); and that it's better to keep both eyes open while aiming; and that her arms should stay slightly bend at the elbows. She doesn't like using guns though.

PART III(FINAL)

1980s - Early 2000s: Woodland Camouflage BDUs. The Army continued to use the BDU pattern into the 1980s. It featured a distinctive woodland camouflage pattern.

Gulf War & Desert Storm(1990-91): The Desert Storm uniform featured a distinctive desert camouflage pattern that included various shades of tan, brown, and light green. This pattern was designed to blend in with the desert terrain, making it harder for the wearer to be spotted.

Early 2000s - Present: ACUs (Army Combat Uniform). Introduced in the early 2000s, ACUs replaced the BDUs. They featured a digital camouflage pattern and were available in both a temperate and arid version.

2010s - Present: Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP). The OCP, also known as Scorpion W2, is the current standard uniform. It includes a pattern with subdued green, tan, and gray colors and is worn with the rank and name tapes on a Velcro patch.

Here's another creation of US Battle Dress Uniforms under VVE's belt. Recently we issued a MW2-based US Army outfit, and this is a collection of the real camouflage that worn by US Soldiers alongside American campaign since 1970s until today. From the OG-107 Era in the late of Vietnam War until OCP set today, we cover them all here. Especially for the M81 camo we also have an ALICE (All-purpose Lightweight Infantry Carrying Equipment) belt accesory here. In this collection we also cover those camos swatch per swatch, like : OG-107 , M81 Woodland, M81 DBDU (Desert BDU) , M81 Tundra, DCU (Desert Camo Uniform) , ACU (Adaptive Combat Uniform), UCP (Universal Camo Pattern), MarPat (Marine Pattern, in Woodland and Desert variants) and the latest OCP (Operational Camo Pattern) . My side of the KSU is set in the same time as Helen's so there are some aspects of that in this as well, but I am not focused on warfare or capitalism. My focus is on mythology, cryptid lore and legends in general. Spoiler-ish under cut now.

As far as weaponry goes.... when I do look for things... I am looking in the way of ancient historical weaponry (far back like Biblical times ancient is the best I can say without giving too much spoilers) or fantasy/magical weaponry and an ordinary butcher's knife if anything.

Well I am back and I thought of retiring this little weekly thing because I worry sometimes people think I might be 'too' nice or whatever but...WHATEVER!
