misty rucker looks…normal. pallid, perhaps, but otherwise as gaunt and exhausted as any other day. ( except it is not any other day. underneath the sleeves of her jacket are cigarette burns wrapped in bandages; her fingertips are chewed bloody and covered with band-aids; her sense of reality is still somewhat blunted from doubling up on anti-nausea medication this afternoon. today is the day she almost lost everything, and if she had not forcefully slept her way through half of the day, she would look much, much worse. )

the psychology building is quiet. mostly unoccupied at this hour – except for the looming sense that there should be something lurking where there is nothing. tonight, misty rucker is dressed in camouflage and without makeup to conceal the dark circles under her eyes; tonight, she is the graveyard ripper, and she knocks, per the email she received, on her professor’s door.

Shortly after the Black Lives Matter movement started people started to retaliate and support. In 2014, “Blue Lives Matter” was the police response to the movement. Then, there was “All Lives Matter", “Red Lives Matter” (firefighters), "Asian Lives Matter," "Hispanic Lives Matter," etc. Since the 2020 protests the phrase "Lives Matter" has circulated into multiple different meanings. The original intention of the movement was to spread awareness about racial discrimination in America. By creating this poster, it shows the original intention of the message and how others have responded in a negative way. The intention was not to say Black Lives Matter MORE than any other race but that matter JUST AS MUCH as any other race.

Where did Immersive Heritage come from? The inspiration for our work began in 2019 when our founder, an archaeologist, was collaborating on a temporary museum exhibition based on work that her research unit had completed. The topic of the exhibit appealed to her colleagues from near and far, but it was open for a very short time – just two weeks! Since the research itself was publicly funded, she and her colleagues wanted to ensure that their work could be readily available, but archiving an interactive exhibition (which you can see in this walkthrough video) posed a tricky problem. Looking for ways to digitally curate museum displays, a spark of interest was ignited. How can an interactive learning space be curated digitally? First the interest became a hobby, where she started thinking about how players engage with different types of games, from simple puzzles up through complex open world role playing games. Then the hobby became a passion, as she started taking on new skills in game development, museum curation, and different programming languages. The Artemis-Can-Talk-To-Animals Fanfic Part 1

BEFORE I START:  This is an AU where Sr didn’t get kidnapped; but instead cuts himself off from Artemis, because of Artemis’ freakish ability to talk to animals. He does invest in Russia, but does not go with the boat. Artemis Jr wants not only to restore the family fortune, but to impress his father. And if it wasn’t too much to ask, be at least somewhat respected by his father. Being loved by Artemis Fowl Senior when you could talk to animals was a mere dream, one that would never come true. Also, this is just a small part, if anyone wants me to continue this, just DM me or ask me or tag me or something.

ARTEMIS POV

Nguyen was about to lead us to the only seemingly secure ‘lead’. Another joke? I am slipping up. I excused myself to use the, ahem, facilities. I went inside the restaurant and slipped out to the other side through the lavatory door. I let out a soft whistle and held out my are. A bird hopped on to it. I let out another whistle, asking if she knew anything about a green-coloured healer on Tu Do Street. She said that it was true. I thanked her and left. I don’t usually thank people. Animals, however are different. My ability is one of the few things I cannot explain. But soon, I will be able to. Soon. And maybe even fix myself. Maybe then my father wouldn’t be so distant. 

No. No, I cannot succumb myself to this foolishness. This-this idiotic hope. All these feelings were giving me a headache. I have to bottle them up if I don’t want to drown. Father said that to me. He doesn’t do it often, but when he does I listen to every word. Father could never be wrong. His business deals may have sometimes been less than legal, but he made us a fortune. He may have hurt people, but it was for his own protection. He may have killed but it was... it was.. No. It couldn’t be. Father is never wrong.

Those that have been following me from the very start may remember this diorama and I thought as we approach 3000 followers I would take a look back to this first piece so that anybody new to my work can see where I've come from and why it features in my logo 😁 Very similar to 'Rose Cottage' that I completed recently this diorama was made by myself for my Nan to take with her after she left to a new house. Back then I hadn't discovered plastic sheet as a material to work with and so everything you can see building wise is built from card and paper. To mention, the brickwork was printed on paper making it up on word, it does the job but I would sooner carve it myself these days if I can. The scale is 4mm to 1ft meaning that it was tiny anyway. I made the trees by hand using florist wire very similar to how I make trees now. The one thing I didn't do was prime anything so I remember that making life harder as I had white gaps in places that did show. It still lives with my Nan and is on display consistently which has always been pleasing to see when we used to pop round before lockdown.
