Plus he just enjoyed her company. “Sweet! Alright what do cakes need..” He jumped up, running to the kitchen, loud crashes being heard as she rummaged through the pantry. Airy turned off the tv and followed. “Sugar, flour, salt, baking powder..” Airy tapped it’s fingers together, as he did when he was thinking. “Maybe food colo- aACK!” He jumped back as a bag of chocolate chips went flying past his head. “Oh shit! My bad, you alright?” Popcorn walked out of the pantry, setting the rest of the stuff down. “I thought maybe if i aimed right it would land on the counter.” She walked across the room to pick up the bag. “Yeah I’m fine.. we’re making it chocolate?” “Well yeah! What other flavor would we make it, vanilla? Boring!” Popcorn started opening cabinets, looking for any kind of baking supplies she could find. “I like vanilla..” Airy mumbled, opening a drawer to grab the measuring cups. “Of course you do.” Popcorn walked past, grabbing the cups out of Airy’s hands and throwing them in the pile with the rest of the stuff. “Alright! This seems good enough. Hey Air-head, pass me that giant ass bowl! No, not that one, the other giant one! Oh for heavens sake..” He stomped over and grabbed the bowl. “This one! The huge one!” “Sorry..” Popcorn sighed. “It’s fine. Oh, I left my Gatorade in the living room, be a dear and get it for me?” Popcorn smiled, her attitude immediately improving once she got what he wanted. Airy nodded, running off to grab the glass. “Alright! Now we’re ready.” He passed Airy the other, slightly smaller bowl. “You mix the dry ingredients, I’ll do the wet.” Airy nodded in agreement, as they started putting stuff in. “How many eggs do you think is too many?” “If i remember right, three is the correct amount for a cake this size. Also, shouldn’t we maybe.. use like a..” He struggled with the word for a moment. “Recipe? Yeah that’s it.” “Oh shit, three?” Popcorn gritted her teeth as she watched the sixth egg yolk slip into the bowl. “Its fine.. we’ll just.. go along with it. Also no, recipes are for losers. Real bakers know how much to put in off instinct.” “Oh.” Airy eyed the cup of sugar it was holding. “One or two cups..” He looked up to see Popcorn just pouring in milk at random speeds, until she figured it was enough. “I really think we should be using proper measurements..” “Ugh fine, if you won’t shut up about it..” Popcorn grabbed a measuring cup and filled it to the top with vegetable oil. He repeated this multiple times, missing the bowl most of the time. “Oh fuck, now there’s oil everywhere! See measurements are evil, I’m telling you!” Airy didn’t mention the spills from the all other ingredients she didn’t measure. He decided on two cups of sugar, and eventually they’d both added all their ingredients. “So.. I think we mix up the dry with a fork.. and then mix both bowls together.” Popcorn nodded. “Yeah that sounds about right.”

Ooof... great question... the story starts out great so i guess i would just have season 2 be a skow descent into doubt for Navier as she realizes her man is the vilain of the story.

Also chapters highlighting the parallels between Christa/Navier and Navier/Rashta.

Rashta would get a divorce too, but it would be her asking it because Sovieshu doesnt allow her to see her daughter or something. Sue Lotteshu for keeping her from her son. Get a pretty house in the countryside to just care for them, find herself a job like baker or smth and marry a local guy. Christa getting with Kauffman (who wouldnt have suggested and used rape drugs all along) and Navier getting out of the Heinly marriage with minimum dammage.

But then it's not my story and i'm suure the author has some plans, maybe even plans that will hold Heinly accountable, who knows.

I imagine that in this setup, Fionna quest wouldnt be to find magic in her life, so maybe what she is looking for is for the joy of adventuring again. Maybe this version of her world could be similar to her nightmare but not as fuckedup.

so, I’d say you’re both right and not quite right here? I had a different idea for the worldbuilding, a little closer to an urban fantasy than Fiona’s nightmare, but you got her motivation pretty close!

for my au, I was going to have Fionnaworld be a sort of mashup between Fionna’s city at the end of the F&C series, and the original F&C universe from Ice King’s stories. Fionna and Cake look pretty much the same as they do in the original canon (ie, genderbent Finn and Jake) and they’re still siblings/friends instead of owner and pet, but they share an apartment and have to pay rent to their demon landlord instead of living in a treehouse. Gumball isn’t a prince or a baker, but he is still a candy ruler and he sort of runs his own district of the city? Most of the inhabitants over that way are his candy homonculi, who treat him like their ‘prince’ even though he’s more of a landlord. Each of the prince would have their own street/district, and the city as a whole is under the jurisdiction of the Mayor, who calls herself Queen of Ooo (allegedly because her name is Queen and the city is called Ooo, but everyone kinda knows that’s bullshit). There is a forest and things and a world outside of the city, but the city takes up most of the inhabitable part of the continent… as far as they know.

Part of Fionna’s arc is that she wishes her life was more whimsical, and that she’s lost interest in doing the same old odd jobs over and over again, and it’s resolved when she and Cake decide that they’re going to explore the land beyond the City of Ooo. Magic Simon and Snow Betty also keep in touch by way of a set of phones that Prismo gives them as a gift after they all part ways (not as a wish, just because he wants to be able to call his friends up whenever and he thinks they should be able to call each other too).

[F/N] eyed the clock at the corner of the room. “Oh right.. i still have work to do. You should get going now, your brothers may be waiting for you?” She grinned.

“ah, right.” He said, snapping out of it. She giggled. “Zoning out again?” She sighed. “It was fun talking to you, Mr. Moriarty.”

“No need for last name basis, Ms. [L/N].”, said Louis. “Please just call me Louis.”

“alright, if that is how it’s gonna be, then just call me [F/N].” She smiled probably for the 100th time that day. He was certainly an interesting customer to say the most.

Louis left the bakery and returned to his home, with of course, few things he’s bought in order nit to draw suspicion from his older brothers.

skitty, skitty I got a quickie for you!

oh jeez, thats a hard one. i think Clown did a really good job with mimicking that warm and cozy feeling of old children's shows (Mister Rogers especially comes to mind). there seems to be a character for everyone to enjoy.

for me personally? its a mix between Barnaby, Sally and Poppy.

i havent listened to all the audios from the update on the website yet (wah! adhd, have at thee!), but from the snippets i have heard, i just adore their personalities.

for one, Sally is so excessive in the way that she speaks, i love her drama kid character (i had always assumed she was a fire cracker chaos maker, but i was pleasantly surprised with this new perspective. hell, i like it even more than the fandom perceived one!). shes the one ive found my attention being drawn to the most on the site. her voice is bold and confident, full of emotion, and i bet shed have some real good stories to tell. sadly, she wouldnt be able to get me out of my hiding spot from behind the curtain. but hey, painting stage props would be fun! maybe i can even learn some sewing while im up there.

Poppy just seems so domestic, im melting. all of her hobbies are calm and relaxing, which is a stark contrast to miss 'camera, lights, action!' above. she seems like the type of person where you can bond over comfortable silence and never have it be awkward. i would either crack my tooth or shred the roof of my mouth on her seed muffins though, so cant really add baker to the list lol. i myself have always wanted to learn how to sew, and i think she would be the perfect kind of mentor for something like that. someone whos very patient and understanding is admirable to me (even if it makes her somewhat of a pushover).

but, ultimately, my choice goes to Barnaby. im ass when it comes with social cues, and from the audios, so is Wally lol. but, using the little blue man as an example, Barnaby takes Wally's ignorance with endearment. Wally didnt feel out of place in the 'Hotdogs' audio, despite clearly being lost in the conversation. its comforting to know that youll always have a friend that welcomes and accepts you, no matter what the situation will bring. Barnaby's jokes never felt like they were trying to break tense atmospheres, they seemed natural and ordinary. the puns would make me cringe inside, but honestly, what else is the point to having friends? i could easily see myself in Wallys position in the audio, so of course my pick would be his best friend.

overall, like i said before, Welcome Home does a damn near perfect execution of its title. no matter who youre around, youll never feel out of place. i think the audios made that concept much more real than the text descriptions did.

and sadly, no, i have not heard Charlie before. but he scares me.

ok so this actually has nothing to do with my hadestown headcanons that breached containment, but one day i was thinking "why is the deity in charge of objective beauty one gender, thats awfully boring, especially if you aren't attracted to that one gender"

so I ended up designing this imagining of Aphrodite whos based off of old 1920s drag kings, but mostly ended up looking up like Josephine Baker. Even though shes based off 1920s gender fuckery she could also fit as a ziegfeld girl, or an old hollywood starlet, just like. a performer! an entertainer! just like! professional hot person!

since shes in a history inspired setting idk what she'd call herself but she's p much just. Genderfluid. Always pushing the boundaries of what's taboo! Shes def not as wrathful as her OG mythological counterpart, but i do see her as letting drama play out because its funny, sometimes. shes not mean she just likes having things and getting stuff. which is valid.

I imagine the papers and the movie studios are always spreading rumors about her love life and all the various people she might be seeing, but she is in a very happy and loving marriage with Hephaestus. they might have like an open marriage i haven't decided. but they're definitely in a happy relationship in my funky little re-imaginings of greek mythology im absolutely using a sanitized, mostly pg-version of things! because all the canon typical assault and incest and whatnot makes me really uncomfortable! and who wants to be uncomfortable while doing something for fun? not me! im not saying those stories don't have value im just. not interested in telling those versions of the story

I'm not trying to be accurate to anything, im just combining these pre-existing character concepts with bits of American history that interest me. so its like. in the style of hadestown, i suppose.

i was going to write out a whole short drabble on this. but then i remembered in the middle of writing. i suck at writing drama/angsty stuff. so i’m turning it into a lil selfship lore explanation.

madi’s job at horner pie co. is just playing floor monitor. she makes sure things are going smoothly and helps jack horner with taste-testing. the bakers & guards find it a lot easier to talk to her since, yknow, theyre intimidated by her husband—even though they know she willingly enforces his policies.

now for the drama part: when she was still new, two or three of the bakers tried taking advantage of her gentle nature by pressuring her to talk to jack about insurance benefits and…….a union.

madi keeps avoiding it cuz 1. she knows jack wouldnt approve and both supports and agrees with his decision, and 2. she had bad experiences with union-supported workplaces (mainly cuz of employees acting privileged) and knows that would spell doom for her husband’s enterprise…

the pressuring reaches a heated crescendo and madi runs to jack crying and explains whats been going on……she never saw the problematic bakers again afterwards. ^^;

moral of the story: just because madi is nicer than jack horner doesnt mean she can be swayed into acting against him cuz she loves him so much QwQ

In a earlier concept i said that she would get a job close to the bakery (maybe a couple doors down) at a bookstore or boutique

And I could see her going over to the bakery on her breaks and he would pull her in the back so they could have a little privacy and he keeps stealing kisses from her lips bc she’s in an oversized pink jumper and she looks so cuddly :( and she’s like “were you getting into the sweets” because his lips taste all sugary and sweet and he starts to blush “I ate a cupcake before you came.”

And nights that she comes to stay over at his little apartment:(

I could see them laying in his bed, a bowl of cookie dough Harry grabbed out of the freezer, one spoon to share and they trade off after each bite, cuddling under his fluffy comforter:(

And he would turn on a horror movie because he know she would cuddle into him and grab into him extra tight 🥺 and he would act all scared so she wouldnt get embarrassed ☹️

And once her friends left she would stay with him during closing for the bakery

And he could obviously tell that she’s jealous (because he knows his girl like the back of his hand) but he doesn’t press it, he just talks even if she doesn’t want to talk back, or let’s a comfortable silence soothe both of them while he scrubs down the flour caked on the counter

And once he’s shut up the lights to everything but the back kitchen he’s like “okay, why is my girl upset? Y’gonna tell me?”

And obviously she thinks it’s stupid so she’s like “no,no, it’s nothing, H. Can you just take me home, or your place, or wherever you wanted to go.” And he’s not having it and gets a little 🤨☹️ with her and she’s finally like “I’m just jealous because they think you’re cute” and he’s like “who cares! I think you’re cute and that’s all that matters. Im not running after you’re friends just because I charmed them with my obviously amazing personality” and his jokes finally put a smile back on her face 🥺

And he would cuddle her up with the their kitten resting between their belly’s :((((((

OKAY so prefancing this by the fact I have not watch WWE in over a year and the only things I know about WWE now is what im getting from tumblr

both companies need to stop relying on the old stars/ old wrestlers needing either a money hit or a cash hit or like another grasp at talent. as much as I LOVE daddy ass and re-living my childhood in wrestling but like I get sooo tired of seeing people relive the glory days when they shouldnt *cough* ric flair *cough*. like theres sooo many talented younger wrestlers that arent getting shown on TV/ in the companies because older wrestlers get quick pops because of the nostalgia run. I see goldberg one more time I will actually explode.

Aew needs to book more womens matches and treat them at the same like bundle and preface as men! Like give us a womans blood and guts!! and more womens matches in genearal where its more of a rough and tumble vibe with blood. My favourite womens match is the thunder rosa brit baker cage match!! Also give me more nyla like I love nyla rose sooo much and shes so talented and cool and I wanna see her wrestle more

also things that feel like "small" tag teams, like the best friends, arent being like shown how talent they are. I know that sentence doesnt make sense. But re-watching aew during the pandemic era- where you had the trent vs kenny match it was so good and it really showwed just how cool and talented trent is in the ring and I think both him and chuck should be allowed to wrestle more and actually wrestle like do moves and win matches, theyre not just to push other talent or let newer tag teams win, its kinda depressing when taented wrestlers arent used in the way they deserve too

another thing and this is just for me, maybe this is just for me. Like long term storytelling suddenly either being shifted/stopped. Like do you remember when mox was facing [I think its either max or jericho] and someone like attacked him backstage and we NEVER EVER got told/figured out who attacked him and its kinda just been forgotten? ALSO as much as I love the elite and the hangkenny storyline and hangman rejoining the elite. He caused so much issues and trouble with everything and he hurt them, like matt said that bte episode "it hurt my heart" and theyve all like, just kinda accpeted him back. No like deep apology or "you have to prove yourself" or whatever. Its like they forgot the entire three year story they told. Also kenny finding out about the fucking nod- it could have been done so much deeper and sadder and emotional, the bucks have been there with kenny since his breakdown/breakup with kota and theyve always had his back until the one moment he needed them and they sided with hangman. But instead of all of that we got "k its cool" and I dont know if its gonna like come back up after all the kenny dealing with callis emotions is gone. Cuz thats gotta like fuck someone up mentally, suddenly loosing that abusive manipultive hold on you suddenly disappearing.

and FANS!! like, I love wrestling fans but also god I hate them so much. Guys, Guys I am begging y'all to stop showing wrestlers fanfics/ship-fanart and everything else. its not like made FOR them its made FOR other fans.
