Goncharov (1973) didn't have to include all those visual references to Leyendecker paintings but it DID and I love it for that. So I painted this study of Goncharov and Andrey <3

Do u ever do any art studies? + Any advice on improving art? I love the way u do anatomy! :”)
Yes I do art studies often!!
Id say they’re the best way to improve art! I learned anatomy from a lot of older stuff like classic Roman and Leyendecker because I liked the hyper realism. Doing studies from those Michelangelo era paintings is a great way to improve general anatomy.
That said learning from stylized stuff is important too, so if you have any cartoons or artists you want to emulate more you should totally do studies of them. Really it’s just a matter of where you want to steer your style!
Thank you I love talking about art :))
