Hi Skippy & Friends-Pilgrim here just poking around the usual sites the Carparkles use. Welll…as of today the 24th of March here are a few quick stats…at People under Royals guess what I see listed? Rows and rows of articles on the P&PoWs and other working members of the royal family. There are only a few waaaay down at the bottom of the listings on the Carparkle’s; their one sentence “get better” message with old video of them and 2 about their friends defending their photoshopped photos. Serious scrubbing there.

Still at People under News there is a fun, colorful story about the big 60th birthday party this weekend for Rob Lowe -the famous Montecito actor and longtime resident who loves to surf and redo homes. The articles list all the other really famous area residents who attended, photographed by Backgrid. No ex-royals shown. Robert Downey Jr, Zoe Saldana, Amy Poehler, Kevin Costner Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow with Brad Falchuck…Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom, Ellen and Portia, Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo, Cameron and Benji with mention of the arrival of the 2nd child.

Over at Us…LOL…under Royals, they have an old video of them with the Carparkle’s one sentence message.  One has to really dig to see it though. The video is from the first NYC PR fake fest tour.

Today is the birthday of Aaliyah's cousin, Jomo Hankerson; son of the evil leprechaun and devil himself, Barry Hankerson.

Born Jomo Kenyatta Hankerson on September 26, 1969. Roughly 10 years their senior, he was trusted with the task of walking young Aaliyah and Rashad home from school when their mother couldn’t; they live five (5) blocks from each other. Aaliyah grew up with many pets, including ducks, snakes, and iguanas. Her cousin Jomo had a pet Alligator (which Aaliyah felt was a big much).  

“I was in my last year at Pepperdine University when we started Blackground records in ‘91”, Jomo shared with Fader Magazine (in 2011).

After the R.K scandal, Jomo didn’t feel it was fair that the public villainize Aaliyah and ultimately, they felt they were blackballed from the music industry because of how difficult it was to get producers for the sophomore album. 

When Lifetime did their disgraceful Aaliyah biopic movie, Jomo shared the similarities he saw Zendaya going through that Aaliyah went through and shared with V103 that (like Aaliyah), “She’s just trying to get a job and just work, it’s not her”. 

When asked who he thought should play Aaliyah instead, Jomo responded, “I would love to get Zoe Saldana”. He continued saying, “I think she could pull off the acting part and she’s obviously gorgeous and beautiful”.

There is little to no other information on Jomo Hankerson online.

Technically none. But I have The Golden Compass sitting beside my bed in hopes that I open it up lol.

Favourite movie you saw in theaters this year (2022)?

I have not gone to the theater in years. But in general/streaming wise my favorite movie might have been Top Gun: Maverick (I also really enjoyed Bullet Train and the Enola Holmes movies)

What do you usually wear?

Recently long sleeved shirt, sweatshirt, leggings or sweatpants. When I go to town to go shopping I wear jeans and a nice top.

I go by Mera on here which is a nickname. In real life everyone calls me by my name or a slightly shorter version of my name.

Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be as a child?

I wanted to be a lot of things, one of which was an Archaeologist which is what I went to University for, but it is not what I am doing. (Currenty I am my mothers daily caretaker)

Are you in a relationship? If not, who is your crush if you have one?

I have not been in a relationship in a very long time. And my only crushes currently are on fictional characters and celebrities lol.

Good at: Writing (At least I hope I am lol) Bad at: Singing (though if I could choose one skill or talent to have it would be singing as I LOVE singing, I just don't sound good lol)

I love both, but I will choose dogs because I am somewhat allergic to cats.

If you draw/write/create in any way, what’s your favourite picture/line/etc from something you created this year?

I paint, but I have not finished anything that I can say is good lol. Writing wise, I really enjoy quite a few stories I have written but I can't think of a specific line or even a specific fic (I wrote over a hundred in 2022 lol)

What’s something you would like to create content for?

Create content for? Specifically? Idk lol I want to write something good for Shadow and Bone but have not yet. Maybe Bullet Train? idk lol

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?

Nothing really at the moment lol. Maybe Leverage But I wouldn't say I am obsessed, just recently reignited my love for it.

What’s something you were excited about this year that turned out to be disappointing?

In 2022: Thinking I would be able to leave and move on with my life. That did not happen, and will not for the foreseeable future.

What’s a hidden talent of yours?

I'm not the best, but I can draw/paint, but haven't properly for a while.

I can make origami frogs?

I can twitch my nose like a bunny without any other part of my face moving (up and down not side to side)

I can partially dislocate my shoulders.

Not really.

What’s something you wish to have at the moment?

I wish that everything would be okay for once, instead of there always being something wrong at all times.
