Got harrassed on tiktok by a man tonight under a post Avantika because I commented: The comment section is full of excuses. The post was about how Elizabeth Olsen barely got backlash for play Wanda who is romani but Avantika got tons of hate over a fancast for a movie that doesn't exist. My comment was in reference to people making excuses as to why Avantika received so much hate over her being fancast as Repunzal even after people found out the casting wasn't real.

So many men replied to my post making it more about Wanda, claiming that because Wanda is white it's okay while completely ignoring the fact that her romani heritage and culture were still completely erased. Even if we remove Wanda and Elizabeth Olsen from the conversation, there are still plenty of white actors and actresses who played characters of color in films and barely get any backlash but meanwhile women of color are subjected to harassment, racism, misogyny and just flat out hateful behavior over castings for characters. Not to mention people constantly bringing up the idea of whitewashing characters like Tiana, Black Panther, etc., as a rebuttle. It's like a revolving door and it's extremely tiring.

With House of the Dragon second season about to air the conversation of fans not being able to separate the actors from the characters has come up once again. Especially with the show leaning more and more into the whole Team Black VS Team Green thing. First thing is involving Matt Smith. Matt Smith has been getting tons and tons of hate since season 1 from people are Team Green stans. They've talked about his appearance, created rumors about him being a groomer and they look for any opportunity to twist his words in interviews to try and make him look bad simply because they don't like Daemon Targaryen.

Harry Collett has also been receiving a ton of hate because he has been pro Team Black. People have also insulted his appearance, his acting and have even created rumors that slept with the director to get his role Jaehaerys, people have even wished the worst on his life. Emma D'Arcy is non binary and people have purposely disregarded to disrespect them. And of course the black actors who play Rhaena, Baela and Corlys have all been subjected to racism from stans and recently Bethany Antonia has publicly addressed a racist message she received.

The only thing I have to ask is what is wrong with you all. These people are not their characters and them participating in the who Team Black VS Team Green thing and choosing to side with the team that their characters are apart of doesn't mean that you get to disrespect them. It's insane going on Twitter and seeing how much hate some of these actors get because fans are incapable of separating the show from reality. You do not get to be racist, homophobic, transphobic and misogynistic because you have a personal problem with people who have never done anything to you. House of the Dragon is not real but the actors that play the characters in the show are and they do not deserve the hate that they're getting. A lot of yall need to put your phones down and go outside. This is not starting to get ridiculous, it's been ridiculous.

I have had the misfortune of seeing tweets from people minimizing the abuse that Daenerys faced while she was with Khal Drogo. Have people forgotten that she wasn't willing with him? Daenerys was forced into a marriage with him by her own brother as a child bride. She was raped and abused and developed stockholm syndrome because of the abuse. She even considered taking her own life. Not only have U see people minimizing it but I've also seen people even blaming Daenerys claiming she was old enough to know what she doing. I swear twitter is a cesspool. I will never understand the people ship her with Drogo or the ones who just flat out act like this was something never happened as well. She suffered a lot and she deserved to be treated so much better than she was.

Just saw that MAPPA canceled the Yuri On Ice movie that people have been waiting to watch for years but there's something that caught my attention. Yuri On Ice fans are suddenly asking for people to boycott MAPPA and a lot of people are agreeing but it got me thinking. Where was all of this when MAPPA was exposed for overworking their employees to the point of not allowing them to go home to their families?

I'm not even shocked that MAPPA canceled the Yuri On Ice movie. Yes, Yuri On Ice is the anime that put MAPPA's name on the map but since then they've taken on several successful projects and there are still projects that they've taken on that have not even been released yet. They're piling all of this on the backs of their employees and all everyone else has done is make a joke out of the mistreatment of their employees and turned that into a meme.

Now I'm not saying that people who watch anime have to do anything that they don't want to do but I just find it interesting that all of sudden when people don't get what they want they decide they want to boycott a company that's always been problematic.

Astarion was 39 years old and Wyll was 17 but this person had the nerve to say don't infantilize near adults in reference to Wyll while infantilizing Astarion. The way a lot of the Baldur's Gate 3 fanbase talks about Wyll, the way they misinterpret his story, the way they ignore the mistreatment his character gets and the way they act like a lot of it isn't due to racism needs to be studied. Larian Studios finally confirmed today that they will be fixing Wyll's bugs after Wyll fans have been begging for them to fix them for the longest time and it was also very obvious that there will be no more Wyll content. He gets the short end of the stick all the time and it's tiring seeing Wyll constantly being disregarded by the fans and the company. He deserves better than this.

The way Wyll is treated by both Larian Studios and the Baldur's Gate 3 fanbase is unfortunate. Wyll fans have been asking for Wyll to have his in-game issues fixed and to have his story completed and they've been completely ignored by Larian Studios. Wyll fans have called out the treatment from the fanbase especially the ones who don't like Wyll, but they like his personality so they attribute things that make Wyll who he is to rhe characters that they prefer. When it comes Halsian, Wyll has often been replaced by Halsian when it comes to things like merch and there's been proof of this. The people who constantly call Wyll's story boring or they completely misinterpret his story all together. Let's not for the white Wyll mod.

When Wyll fans recently brought this up of course this became a conversation about how Wyll's race plays no role into the treatment he receives, some Halsian fans also got upset about this and made the situation about Halsian (someone even tried to claim that Halsian was a person of color as a way to speak over Wyll fans. Seeing Klance shippers on twitter lose their minds because the ship lost a "The Most Influential Yaoi Ship" poll to Hualian is interesting but whats confusing me is the people claiming acting like Klance's influence was positive. Like there's no lie that Klance was Influential but it wasn't in a positive way. You have people claiming that Klance is the reason why red/blue ships exist which is completely untrue and bragging about the ship being featured in the New York Times or sending cupcakes to have their made canon but are people forgetting how toxic the situation surrounding Klance was at the time?

Not only was the term anti shipper popularized because of the ship, shippers sent death threats to the cast and crew, attacked artists, Shiro's voice actor was literally harrassed and had to respond and so many other things happened. It left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. This isn't to attack Klance shippers as a whole because I know there are people who still ship and they're not all toxic but watching the way some people are twitter are acting over a poll that means nothing is reminding me of all things that happened during the Voltron days.
