while i'm excited as fuck for spy x family's anime adaptation next year, this is the only scene i care about that they better not mess up

this scene honestly means so much to me. it shows that despite how much loid tries to keep his cool, he wants to prioritize the mission. he desperately wants to, but the second that anya cries? the moment that she shed a single tear because she was forced to remember something she probably didn't want to, because of something that someone said? that made loid snap and he was out for blood

also i’m re-reading the batman incorporated thing to go through some of damian’s run in order but like holy crap it’s bad.

like “batman sees visions of damian-as-batman in the future having sold his soul to the devil and everyone in gotham dies, so the logical conclusion is for him to send Damian back to the League of Shadows and his mother, who when being written by Morrison is an abusive villain-ball-carrier”

like first of all, i don’t think even the least charitable interpretation of batman would be like “yo i’m sending my 10 year old son back to the assassins who raised him due to some vague future vision stuff, without even trying to change or prevent that dumb future vision stuff”

and secondly, even if he did there’s no way that anyone else (dick especially) would let him go through with it or even let damian believe it was an option for half a second?
