I love you 14,000,605
by JustAQueerGamer
"I love you 3000!" Out of the fourteen million futures he had viewed back on Titan, around 3000 of them contained Morgan Stark. And in every one of them, Morgan Stark loved her father. An unbidden thought crossed his mind, as he and Stark walked across dark cement towards the doors of the Compound. I suppose I love him ‘14,000,605’, then.

Oblivescence: noun [ob-luh-ves-uh ns] the process of forgetting.
The human brain has a limit, Stephen of all people should know that. To view those fourteen million futures, he had to sacrifice something. His memories. It started with the first few hundred timelines, a few deaths from Dormammu, neurology facts he'll never need again… but the spell became greedy. Now, he can't remember why his hands hurt.

How long did Stephen spend in the 14,000,605 futures?
So, I was doing some thinking. 14,000,605 is a big number--big enough that it’s meaning sort of becomes unquantifiable, just like the blank looks you get when you try to explain how far the sun is from Earth. And remember, it’s canon that Stephen didn’t just see the CliffsNotes of those timelines:
"He has to physically live them, and then die in each of them, and right before he dies, he has to reset it, as we saw at the end of Doctor Strange, and do it again. And take copious notes each time he does it." - Joe Russo
So, if every one of those timelines was a life Stephen lead, what does it translate to? What, in terms of time, is the value of all those realities?
Math time.
There are two broad designations we can sort Stephen’s ultimate futures into. The first are futures where Stephen focuses on preventing the Snap, and the second are futures where Stephen focuses on undoing a Snap that did happen. I can only imagine it takes a significant number of futures for Stephen to give up trying to keep Thanos from getting all the Stones. I’ll call that 3/5 of the futures; little less than half of them spent undoing as opposed to preventing.
Within those two broad designations, there’s another set of factors: the Dusting itself. Assuming the Blip is truly random, we can generalize that in 1/2 the futures, Stephen was in the dusted 50%. By definition, if Stephen (and indeed anyone) is dusted in the prevention futures, it’s game over and he abandons that timeline. That leaves us with three vague situational constants:
Tumblr media
Okay, great. Now for the part where I get to make a couple of educated guesses.
How long, then, is a “prevention future”? The shortest one probably starts around the length of the battle on Titan in Infinity War. From the moment Stephen returns from the time projection to the moment Thanos supposedly kills everyone and takes the Time Stone is, by my estimation, at least 45 minutes. We all know Stephen Strange is a self-sacrificial bastard (I will cite canon for this if you truly need me to but I choose to assume you aren’t blind), so he wouldn’t have considered this a true loss until Thanos retrieved the rest of the Stones in Wakanda. (The events on Earth aren’t a variable in this; Stephen can’t influence them when he’s not actually there). Let’s tack on another 45 minutes for Wakanda.
Shortest prevention timeline: 1.5 hours
What about the longest time, then? The longest possible situation I imagine goes something like this:
Stephen & co. leave Titan and hide in the reaches of the universe
Thanos goes to Earth, kills everyone there, and probably mind-controls Wong using the Mind Stone into disclosing who has the Time Stone and preforming some sort of tracking spell to find it.
Thanos tracks down Stephen & co.
Thanos captures Stephen (”You’ll find removing a dead man’s spell troublesome”)
Torture. Extraordinary amounts of torture.
Snap
OR:
Stephen & co. portal back to Earth and collect all the remaining Infinity Stones
The Guardians help them hide the Stones amongst various parts of the universe, in pocket dimensions, behind containments, etc.
(Now I think this is a great plan, but canon dictates it has to fail so:) Thanos eventually finds the Stones.
Pain, suffering, death of Stephen & co.
Snap.
Now, Stephen spent a whole other blog-post worth of time repeatedly dying inside a time loop to save the dimension as we know it, so we’ve got to assume he doesn’t break quick under torture. Therefore, I’m going to call the longest prevention future 7 years.
Longest prevention timeline: 7 years.
That’s quite a difference! I’m going to assume that most of the futures fall on the shorter side, and these higher futures are outliers. By standard distribution and some rather arbitrary bounding of graphs, I find the average time spent in these futures to be about 10220 hours, or approximately 1 year and 2 months. (There’s 8760 hours in a year, and in favor of underestimating instead of overestimating, I chose to assume that very few futures drifted in the 7 year direction.)
Alright, so, Stephen spends an average of 1 year and 2 months in each of the the prevention timelines. Remember, we decided about 3/5 of the 14,000,605 futures are prevention futures. That’s 8,400,363 futures. 1 year and 2 months in those futures means Stephen lived 9,800,423 years and six months in just the prevention futures. That’s a hell of a long time.
But now, let’s do the undoing futures.
So, in 50% of these, Stephen gets dusted. He has to stick around these futures a while after that before abandoning them as failures--and a really long time to be sure, as well. So depending on how long it takes him to realize the consistent factors that lead to undoing a snap (Tony being alive, Scott coming back from the Quantum Realm, Nebula in general), he’d have quite a long time to wait in these. He’d only know to abandon them when those critical factors were undermined/killed/prevented by Thanos or other means.
In the One Future, he would’ve had to stick around for 5 years because of that stupid rat. But Scott’s escape from the Quantum Realm could have been hurried by Stephen mentioning that fact to Tony or somebody before Thanos Snapped. Remember, though, that Stephen would have had to live out timelines, probably a good number of them, where the rat thing happened all on its own to even know it was important. Let’s say, then, that the One Future was on the higher end of the spectrum for the length of this type of future (undoing: Stephen dusted). On average, the length of the dusted undoing futures was about 2 years.
Blah blah blah, math math math. 2/5 of 14,000,605 is 5,600,242, and half of that is 2,800,121. 2 years in each of those futures gets us right back to 5,600,242, but years this time.
So what about the timelines where Stephen lived? Since he knows the way the future will play out, it’s safe to assume his existence speeds those futures. I would say the longest of these (undoing: Stephen lives) is around a year. Giving up the Stone means Tony doesn’t trust him and hesitates at the wrong moment, etc. etc. etc. Stephen is killed by other factors besides the Snap in some. Thanos still has the Stones when they try and kill him to take them. On and on and on and on.
The shortest ones would probably be no longer than a month--those Infinity Stones can really do some damage. Which means the average time in the non-dusted undoing futures is around 6.5 months.
14,000,605 * (2/5) * (1/2) =  2,800,121.  2,800,121 * 6.5 = 18,200,786.5. 12 months in a year means approximately 1,516,732 years.
Adding all those sections up gives us 16,917,397 years.
That is 208,857 lifetimes. That’s longer than humans have existed on earth. That’s about 84.6 times as long as humans have existed on Earth. If Stephen truly lived through all those futures, he’d be 1/250 the age of planet Earth itself.
Even if we take the very bare minimum and say Stephen spent only a day, on average, in those 14,000,605 futures, that’s still 38,357.8 years. If we say he only spent an hour in each of those futures THAT’S STILL 1,598.2 YEARS!!! WHAT THE FUCK????
*a series of deep breaths*
And in every single one of those futures, in every one, Stephen fought and died and killed and lived beside Tony Stark, Peter Parker, and the Guardians of the Galaxy. In every single one, he got to know them, got to understand them. Thousands upon thousands of lifetimes, and Stephen Strange grew to know the Avengers like he knew himself.
Think about that, and think about the look on his face when he kneels to Tony’s dead body, mmhmm?
(Thanks, I’ll just be crying for 14,000,605 years).
Tl;dr: 16,917,397 years is a reasonable, even low estimate for the years Stephen Strange lived while viewing ultimate futures. Give my sorcerer the recognition he deserves.

Define Winning
When fighting against impossible odds, you need to know exactly what you are trying to achieve; what is the one battle you cannot lose. Sometimes, success all comes down to asking the right question.
Fic on AO3
For @tonystarkbingo - 3096 -  R5: Missing scene
The original fic was written before Endgame, so some elements no longer quite match up. ‘Can we undo the Snap?’ is part one of the answer, part two is ‘can we separate the Stones from Thanos’ Snap?’.

Similarity. Prompt: 14,000,605
Tony was lying down next to Stephen on the roof of the Avengers compound, looking up at the stars. Stephen seemed to be drifting off to sleep, so Tony let his mind wander. He thought of all that had happened since he met Stephen, the visit of Thanos’ minions to earth, fighting against them with Stephen, and the space voyage with himself, Stephen, and Peter. He thought of the little arguments and the big changes, and the emptiness he felt after the snap. He remembered the pure joy he felt at the reunion with Stephen and Peter, and the relief he felt when Thanos was finally defeated. He thought of all these things and more, again and again until his mind stopped on one memory, or a number to be precise. His mind focused on this number so intently that he felt if he didn’t ask what he needed to he’d burst.
“Stephen, are you awake?” Tony gently whispered.
“Yes, what do you need?” Came Stephen’s quiet reply.
“Sorry to disturb your slumber, but I have a question. May I ask it?”
“Shoot. I’ll try to answer to the best of my abilities.”
“Thank you, I was just wondering…” Tony started, but paused before he finished for fear of it being pointless.
“Wondering what?”
“I-It’s fine, it’s not that important.”
Stephen rolled onto his side to face Tony. “Come on, tell me, you know I won’t judge.”
“Okay, well, um, you know when we were on Titan and you looked through the futures to see how we could win?”
“Yeah? What about it?”
“Did you really see 14,000,605 different futures?”
“Yes, I did, and there were even more possibilities than what I looked through.” Stephen replied. He waited for Tony to continue, knowing that that would not be his only question.
“Do you remember the similarities and differences between them?” Tony asked, his voice dropping even quieter than it was before.
“Yes I do, I remember all of them. Would you like me to start with differences or similarities?”
“Well I guess differences, and then the similarities.”
“There was an almost limitless amount of small differences, but some of the bigger ones had to deal with Thanos and his defeat.” Stephen replied.
“Like what?”
“Well, in some the difference was the method used to defeat Thanos, and others Thanos was simply not defeated at all.”
“Eek. Out of the methods, what was one of the weirdest?” Tony asked.
“You are not going to ask what were the best?”
“Nope. Weirdest. Throw my mind a disco.”
“Okay. Well, out of all of the defeat methods, one of the weirder ones involved ant man, pym particles, and the rear end of everyone’s least favourite nightmare raisin.”
“Oh no.” Tony said, a shocked tone in his voice.
“Oh yes.” Stephen replied, voice like that of a battle hardened soldier who had seen too much but could say too little.
“That image is now in my head and I need to get it out. I’m gonna ask for similarities for the futures now, I’m afraid if I heard more differences they would be similar to that one.”
“Sure. Well, of course there were similarities between the people and such, but they changed slightly between each future. There was one thing that was constant through all of the futures though.” Stephen mused.
“What was it?” Tony asked, genuinely curious. What could this constant factor be?
Stephen pulled Tony close and stared in his eyes, which in his opinion were far more beautiful than any starry sky could be, and gently whispered “In all 14,000,605 futures, I fell in love with you.”

Not really, for us it progressed with time... But then again time is relative when you're the master of time!
Tony @tonystarkstrange was engaged when I met him, we instantly hit off with bantering around, it amused me, the snark all around it kept me grounded during the high stress time!
I heard his plan, made sense so I agreed, I confessed I would have to sacrifice him and @officialpeter-parker if It came to saving the time stone, he understood..... He worked together, he was daring... I saw 14000605 futures and each one of them.... He was brave and kind and just.... A beautiful person
. That's when I knew I was knee deep in feelings but I couldn't act on them.... He was taken... But things took a turn and when we next met, we kept bumping into eachother, I didn't know how to react, I would pick on him for his height and petty things ... I was trying to flirt.. turns out throwing unkind words at the person you're attracted to isn't flirting... Once we understood we had deep attraction to eachother I asked him out and our first date.............. It ..... Made me.......... Happy! We started going out more spending time, and by the time an year rolled by.... I realised ... I didn't want 24 uninterrupted hours... I wanted a lifetime with @tonystarkstrange

Bouncy’s Masterpost || 2019 Edition
This is something I started last year that I plan to keep doing! I present to you the good, the bad and the ugly of 2019!
♡ 2018′s Masterpost Order: from oldest to newest.
Februrary 2019
[1] Wish I Knew You | 13,527 Words | T | KakaSaku & GenIno A lost bet and a forced dare brings two lonely losers together. Sakura never thought something as absurd-sounding as the 'No More Lonely Losers' program would land none other than Konoha's hottest bachelor and her long-time crush in her lap. KakaSaku. Rating might be upped later.
Snippet:
"Sakura? What in the world are you doing under the table?"
She froze in horror as a certain silver-haired, dark-eyed man bent to peer curiously at her. "Is this some sort of fun three-way fondling in public, because you guys are not being very discreet about it."
"O-of course not!" Sakura spluttered, and her head collided with the table edge in her hurry to get back into her seat. "Oww!"
Temari very much choked on her chuckles as Sakura pressed a soothing green hand to her head and lowered herself into a vacant seat with as much dignity as she could muster. "Kakashi, you dirty old man, don't say such nonsense."
March 2019
[2] Between the Lines | 1,711 Words | T | ShinRan [Detective Conan]
There was something about him when he was quiet, mind brimming with facts, with truths that could shatter the world that was so terrifying and exhilarating and she often found herself lost in thoughts of him, spaced-out looking at the arch of his brow and the slope of his nose and the pucker of his lips. One-shot. ShinRan.
Snippet:
Shinichi had always carried a confident tug in his shoulders, an arrogant streak in his eyes, and mischief in his smiles wherever he went. Even on the most brutal crime scenes those traits never faltered. But now ... he was so contained now, like he walked on fragile glass instead of the earth. Like it might've shattered beneath his soles if he made the faintest impression.
This Shinichi walked in measured breaths, with his eyes peeled open and his shoulders hunched in ever so slightly—it was as if he wanted to take up less space, like he felt exposed. And Ran's heart went out to him, every time.
[3] Closure, Part III of Resolutions | 2,220  Words | T | KakaSaku In which Sakura realises it isn't too late to find happiness and lets go. [Three-shot, KakaSaku]
Snippet:
She stared at his hands in her lap and wondered how to phrase her words in a way that didn't make him bolt, "I think that… that people don't see this side of you. I used to think you hated kids. But I don't think that's really the case. I think it'd be a shame if you never had children."
[4] Late Night Revelations | 4,166 Words | M | KakashixOC
Nousagi and Kakashi crash in an Inn after a grueling ANBU mission. Things take an unexpected turn as Kakashi's more playful side makes an appearance.
Snippet:
“Kakashi,” Nousagi said after what felt like ages of silence.
He cracked open one eye, leaning his head in her direction in silent inquiry. The action made his hair fall into his eyes, which in turn made her chest tighten in a strangely pleasant way. “Are you okay now?”
He gave her a lazy smirk, “You’re awfully worried today—I’m fine. Almost bored actually.”
“No Icha Icha?” She gave him a meaningful side-eye and almost laughed when he let out a sigh. “Yep, thought so. Let me guess: unsalvageable after a week of dirt and blood?”
“Don’t rub it in,” he grumbled sourly, to which she did finally laugh.
[5] Stolen Moments | 1,830 Words | M | ShiSaku
"All that blood really brings out your eyes."
Snippet:
He flashes in front of her, manifesting into something distinguishable from the blur of the nightly forest just as his blade sweeps down like the damning call of the reaper and severs clean through the enemy's neck. This time the blood splatters her face and cascades down her cheek to drip down her vest.
Shisui sheaths his sword and turns to face her. The shadows conceal his features, but his eyes stand out a crimson red through the darkness. He steps forward, and suddenly the moonlight bathes him in an ethereal glow and his eyes darken to a liquid charcoal. He smiles—something dangerous and sharp as his fingers glide over her bloody cheek, "All that blood really brings out your eyes …"
April 2019
[6] The Sound of Silence | 1,656 Words | T | Merlex [Grey’s Anatmoy]
He watches her eyes fluttering open. Tentative, like the wings of a butterfly, and he's afraid to hope. She's bruised beyond recognition. Swollen, blue, heartbreaking, and still everything he ever wants. 12x09. Merlex.
Snippet:
"Mer … " He's talking, and he knows she can't even hear him, but he just wants to say her name, to taste it on his tongue, to pretend everything is okay.
He tries to smile even when it hurts his face. Even when his jaw resists. He tries to smile for her.
May 2019
[7] Watch Each Other’s Six | 3,222 Words | M | StevexPeggy [Marvel]
Steve wants the life he's lost back. He wants to righten his place in history and most importantly, he wants to do right by Tony.
Dad!Steve, Baby!Tony, Post-Endgame.
Snippet:
It’s barely a flash, but the thought still hits him like a fist in the gut and his breath catches. Tony Stark’s face in a framed photo on a casket, and Peter sobbing, and Pepper trying hard not to fall apart while Happy shamelessly devolves into tears. It still hasn’t fully sunk in, possibly because he has suppressed it, violently, that Tony Stark—Tony who walks the ground in measured steps because it could barely contain him and that dramatic, lively flair of his presence—could possibly be gone forever.
And isn’t that why Steve hesitates? Because here one form of Tony will live while there, there’ll be none?
[8] The Universe Released | 897 Words | T | IronStrange [Marvel]
There’s a man that lays in his bed every night, that burrowed and tucked himself into a nook in his heart and made a home for himself where Stephen had forbidden anyone else. There had been no rational answer, no cogent way to figure out how Tony Stark, someone he had despised at first glimpse, had instilled himself into the very centre of Stephen’s universe and made himself its point of gravity.
Written for IronStrangeWeek2019 Day 3: 10 Years Later
Snippet:
“That long, huh?” Tony chuckles and runs a hand through Stephen’s hair. “Suprised we made it this long?”
Stephen shakes his head, his arm snaking around Tony’s middle and tugging them closer. “There hasn’t been a single day,” Stephen begins, eyes flickering to lock with Tony’s, “In which I doubted you being the one for me.”
“So suave.” Murmurs Tony, eyes half-lidded as they drop to Stephen’s lips. “I’m already in bed with you, you don’t have to sweet-talk me.”
[9] Do you know that thing, of which the heart bleeds? | 950 Words | T | Gen [Marvel]
Tony never thought of himself as particularly selfless, but when he meets those endless blue eyes, sees the way Stephen’s fingers curl and one stands firm and absolute, he thinks to hell with it.
Snippet:
There’s an odd sense of relief that only lasts a flickering second. Life has never been kind to him, and now it won’t be able to take from him any more than it already has.
(But, ultimately, Tony knows otherwise. He is but a man, and all he wishes for right then is some peace of mind. But he can’t help but think about all the years lost from his future: watching Morgan grow, sending her to college, making love to Pepper, having another kid, and maybe another, why the hell not? And he knows, that life will continue to steal from him even when he’s six feet under, even when he’s got nothing left to give, and he thinks peace is for the ignorant, and that he is anything but).
[10] Raw Skin and a Bleeding Heart | 602 Words | G | Ironstrange [Marvel]
He presses a kiss to Stephen’s hair, it smells of mint and warmth, and Tony finds himself thinking about the vast universe, the endless stretch of space, the planets and the moon and the sun and how there isn’t a single place he’d rather be at, at that moment. A companion piece to The Universe Released, can be read independently.
Written for IronStrangeWeek2019, Day 7: 14000605.
Snippet:
He loves Stephen in all the unconventional ways, he knows. He loves Stephen in the little spaces between the spoken and unspoken words, in the loud silence that separates their bodies, in the way two broken souls slot together perfectly.
June 2019
[11] Moment You Loved Her (back) | 7,936 Words | T | KakaSaku
Some things are just worth breaking for. KakaSaku AU.
Snippet:
The seconds stretch out, wearing his patience thin. There they remained, an elite jounin, appearing to stand cool and collected before a human trainwreck. Yet somehow she managed to make him feel like she was a queen looking down from her throne at him, as she decides his punishment. How is it that her gaze alone threatens to shatter him? He feels stretched thin, and like all the pieces of him are about to crumble from all of the cheap glue and rough treatment.
There's a moment where Kakashi just wants to give in and fall apart; just hand himself over to her and hope for the best. Even if it means he has to gracefully endure her silent treatment with the humility of a man who knows he's wronged a woman in ways he doesn't necessarily understand.
[12] Make Me Lose Control | 6,459 Words | M | KakSaku
A mission to Ame turns into a paid vacation, and Kakashi and Sakura find themselves crossing all sorts of lines.
Snippet:
"Give me my book back."
"Or what?"
"Don't challenge your superior."
"As far as I'm concerned, I'm the head of a chain of hospitals all over the shinobi nations and you're an ex-Hokage who can only go on diplomatic missions anymore."
Kakashi gasps, "Take that back."
"Children." Shikamaru sounds and looks utterly exasperated from his perch against the desk at the reception area. Behind him, Shizune is sniggering to herself as she types away on her computer.
July 2019
[13] Tangled Up In You | 20,414 Words | M | HarleyxPeter [Marvel]
Besides him, Harley seems to need a moment to collect himself. “Hey,” he says, fingers touching tentatively at Peter's knuckles. Peter nearly flinches, tingles chasing Harley’s touch. “It’s okay—look at me—it’s okay.”
Even in the darkness Harley’s eyes glint and they’re so beautiful for a moment Peter can’t look away.
“I don’t mind this,” Harley tells him, firm and genuine. “If you’re curious about… about kissing a guy, I don’t mind.”
Snippet:
“Ned. Ned.” He says urgently. “Um. What does the news say exactly?”
Ned pauses. “Um… someone uploaded a live video of those men invading through the roof. Obviously he was caught but the video was already out there and the police were alerted. Why?”
Peter wishes he could say his next line without wanting to choke himself with his own bare hands. “I… I may have done something really, really fucking stupid.”
“Oh? You mean that you kissed Harley in the middle of a crowd of awe-struck teenagers? Yeah, not your best move.”
August 2019
[14] Un-Break My Heart | 2,884 Words | T | KakaSaku
He's beautiful like all broken things are, in all the ways they could be mended, in their complexity, in their contrasting fragility and resilience. And Sakura never learned how to not love broken things. [KakaSaku]
Snippet:
Perhaps he notices that, because he lets her.
She laces their fingers together, determined to keep him right there next to her and can't believe the kind of way it makes her feel to have his palm pressed against her own, his stuttering pulse against her wrist.
"Just try," she beseeches him, and expects a rejection.
"Okay." He says after a pause, voice cracking. "Okay, Sakura."
[15] Black and White | 3,150 Words | G | ShisuiHina
Hinata makes a bento for her crush, but this ends up being Shisui's lunch instead.
Snippet:
He was such a refined and exquisite mix between gentle and hard, such an alluring aesthetic, Hinata attributed her sudden infatuation to those rare qualities.
"What?" he asked, suddenly, dark eyes shifting to meet her own.
In the wane orange glow of the setting sun, they looked like a portal to some other world and Hinata found herself trapped, sinking. They glittered, like mirrors, the darkest shade of charcoal, reflecting her image back at her in muted tones.
Hinata swallowed convulsively. "Sorry," it came out as a whisper, her eyes roaming his face.
What was she feeling?
Her heart thundered in her ears, as if afraid of the way it quivered and shook under this new weight settling over her chest.
What was this?
"It's just…," she swallowed again, unsure if she should voice those thoughts. "You have beautiful eyes."
October 2019
[16] Stay With Me | 2,648 Words | M | KakaSaku | Fanart
Falling for her doesn't leave him with bruises and broken bones, it leaves him with warmth and the colour green and the rapidly addicting revelation that it might all just be alright after all. KakaSaku Proposal AU.
Snippet:
She cranes her neck back to regard him silently with her endless green eyes, and with her gaze comes a feeling a little like drowning, "You've just seemed ... a little off lately. You know you can talk to me about anything, right? What's on your mind?"
Kakashi considers that for a few moments—it's such a convenient opening. He bites his lip as he looks down at her, watches the way her eyes flicker down to his mouth before quickly flitting back up. "... I love being a ninja," he admits quietly. "Or, well, I got used to being a ninja. But ... you make me want to stay here with you."
She smiles, and it's radiant. "Yeah? That doesn't sound so bad."

Naruto Uzumaki was forced to watch every single friend he's ever cared about die except for one. Together, they will fix this. Together they'll rewrite fate. TIME TRAVEL. [New publish date: 30th. August]
Snippet:
Naruto breathed a sigh of relief. "That'd be great… we need to do everything we can to prevent Orochimaru from luring Sasuke away."
Frowning, his companion slowly shook his head. "I don't think that'd work— I know you want to protect Sasuke but do you think Orochimaru would stop trying if he failed the first time around? No. Let's not risk it, we'd be blind in another attempt—much like the first time. We need to convince Sasuke to stay. We can't do anything about Orochimaru for now."
For a split second, Naruto looked like he might disagree. But then he gnawed angrily at his lower lip and looked away.

[18] Every Last Drop | 3,378 Words | M | KakaSaku
“This isn’t about you. You’re amazing at what you do. I just … the shower—well—you’re just not a showerhead. And sometimes that’s what I want.”
When she chances a look at Kakashi again his eyes have widened slightly, and he looks entirely taken aback. “You—the showerhead?” The amount of disbelief packed into that word would’ve made a lesser woman dissolve into uncontrollable laughter.
The blush steadily spreads down her neck as she contemplates this bizarre conversation he pulled her into having. She really hadn’t wanted to ever discuss this with anyone. “Yes, the showerhead. Problem?”
Sakura looks away again, feeling the slow, simmering burn of embarrassment.
A few moments of silence later, Kakashi shifts, and when he speaks he nearly purrs.
“Can I watch?”
[19] Decisions and Choices Ch 13 of Underneath the Underneath | 5,500 of 61,803 Words | M | KakaSaku & GenIno
Our past is what defines us; what shapes us into the people we are. And Sakura… Sakura would've never guessed Kakashi was the product of so much suffering. With every strange dream, another piece of the puzzle is found; and with every vision, they grow a step closer to completion. NEW PUBLISH DATE: 23/4/2017
Snippet:
"Mmm ... Sakura ..." he rasped over a sigh, jolting her a little. He made no attempt to move, however, and after the passage of a few silent and heavy moments, filled only with his quiet breathing, she realised he was still asleep.
Was he ... was he dreaming about her?
Sakura chewed on her lip, her heart thundering in her ears. The rhythmic rise and fall of his chest was soothing, urging hers to calm down, to beat together as one.

[20] Let The Truth Sting | 3,163 Words | M | KakaSaku
Sasuke's first glance at Kakashi's face comes in the form of Kakashi's open mouth pressed over Sakura's. Or, in which Sasuke sees Sakura has found her happiness with someone else. Quite graphically. [KakaSaku, Sasuke's POV]
Snippet:
Sasuke still finds himself following them.
There's a subtle air of a routine, a comfortable familiarity found only between people who hang out frequently, and Sasuke's feeling of shame has receded to be replaced by a surge of irritation as it becomes apparent where the duo is heading. Down the block is Sakura's two-bedroom apartment, the one she bought for herself after she divorced Sasuke more than a year ago.
At her doorstep, Sasuke fully expects her to say her goodbyes to Kakashi.
Sasuke watches with a scowl as she invites him in.

Infinity War Question & Spoiler
So Stephen Strange essentially says that if it comes down to Tony or Peter or protecting the Infinity Stone in the Eye if Agamotto, he’d watch them die first.
But then, when he uses the Eye of Agamotto to scroll the futures, he says that out of thousands (14000605?) of possible outcomes there’s only one where they succeed over Thanos.
And finally he saves Tony Stark and before disintegrating says “there was no other way.”
Does that mean in every other outcome Tony was meant to die, that Dr Strange singled out that the only possible future in which they defeat Thanos in Avengers 4 hinges on Tony’s survival, and by that by saving him he gave us all hope?
Clearly I’m still in the bartering/processing stage of grief.

Failure
Lost to Time
Part 12 of ?
Word Count: 1316
The story of an original character, Allison Bennett. Growing up black in the short period between the world wars wasn't easy but Allison had friends who stuck with her no matter what. She was ambitious and had a million things she wanted to achieve in her lifetime and would try only to be told by the world that due to who she was it wasn't possible and she'd never live up to her dreams.
The landing was probably as smooth as it could be, all things considered, the things considered being it was made to be steered by someone no less than 10 feet tall and that it was made by aliens. The four of them don't get much respite before Peter is talking again, saying something about having eggs laid in him.
A nearby wall of the ship gets busted in and some shadowy figures enter, quickly moving towards all of you, leaving Peter crawling away yelling, "please don't lay eggs in me!"
Soon Peter is being held by one and Tony is holding one of their guys on the floor, and the one who seems to be the leader says, "I'll ask this one time, where is Gamora?"
"Yeah, I'll do you one better who is Gamora?" Tony retorts and Allison facepalms mentally as she is busy staring at the guy.
"I'll do you one better, why is Gamora?" asks their guy Tony has pinned on the floor.
Thats when Strange steps in and asks something that makes more sense than anything else being said, "let me ask you this, what master do you serve?"
"What master do I serve? What am I supposed to say Jesus?"
"You're from earth-"
"Yeah I'm from Missouri."
"Thats on earth you dipshit."
That is when Allison places the man in front of them and says, "you're Peter Quill." Everyone kind of just turns and looks at her, "what? His name is Peter Quill, in 1988 you were abducted by aliens, never came back to earth, everyone thought you were dead, but you aren't," she explains shortly. "Anyways, they are the Avengers, and we came to try and fight Thanos and from what I can tell about you three you are too so working together would make more sense than arguing over whether or not Missouri is on earth or not."
They all stare for a moment until Drax just asks, "who are you?"
"Allison Bennett, Keeper of Intelligence."
The three seem mildly impressed by this, as they had heard of the position and how beings would assign different ones for each planet. "So I take it you're the leader of this group then, if you're the smart one?" Mantis asks.
Allison laughs a bit at that, "smart one yes, but leader probably not, I wouldn't want to step on these two's egos that much," she says with a glance at both Strange and Tony, "despite me not being the leader we should probably get out of here cause I don't think this ship is very sturdy now that it has been crashed, and come up with a plan as to how we're going to stop Thanos."
Somewhat surprisingly they listen to her without argument, probably because she was right. They all get out and begin planning in the midst of the runes of the once great civilization, Titan. Strange goes off and take a seat on a rock. The one named Mantis begins bouncing in the lessened gravity of the world. Drax keeps staring at Allison as though she's a threat while Quill stands nearby. Allison, Tony and Peter start with a plan, letting Tony do the explaining when it comes time.
"Listen, it's a great plan, but it's stupid," Quill starts, "so why don't you leave the planning to me so it's not stupid."
Tony shares a glance with Allison and she shrugs lightly before walking over to the man. "Listen," she says, mimicking his tone, "your plan sucks. Tony's makes more sense and will work as long as we work together. So, I'm going to need you to reel in that fragile masculinity of yours, and listen so we can take down Thanos. Once we're through with the emergency on hand the three of you," she says, referring to Strange, Tony, and Quill, "can whip them out and have a competition to see who's is the longest, got it?"
Quill seems thoroughly put in his place as does Tony even if most of that wasn't directed at him. Peter on the other hand is having secondhand embarrassment for the two grown men, "don't worry Peter," Allison says, "you're doing great. Do you have any ideas you'd like to share for the plan since you did such a good job with- uh, Squidward?"
"Does your friend normally do that?" Mantis asks be fore Peter can say anything, this causes all of them to turn and look at him where he is levitating in the air and seeming to glitch.
It goes on for a while until he finally stops. "What'd you see?" Allison asks.
"I saw 14000605 possible futures, and... in one of them we succeed," he responds sounding confident despite the nearly impossible odds.
"Well, let's hope we're in that one," Tony responds before going back to explaining his plan.
All of them get under cover to wait for Thanos. When the purple giant finally arrives they ambush him, and with their combined powers are able to quickly sedate him while they try to pry the glove off his hand. All of them are occupied, including Allison who is searching his mind for any information she can find without overwhelming herself. And that's is when everything falls apart with two whispered words from Thanos, "she's- gone."
Quill freaks out and punches Thanos, breaking everyone's focus and effectively allowing him to escape their trap. Thanos closes his fist and sends everyone flying backwards away from him. With that the fight begins in full, at some point Nebula shows up to help and Thanos makes the remains of a moon fly down towards all of their heads.
They don't stand a chance, Allison gets crushed by one of the boulders. Like dead crushed, and someone rolls it off of her but it's too late and it's also the middle of a fight. Before they know it the rest of them are nearly dead, and Strange does something unexpected. He hands the time stone over to Thanos who takes it and leaves.
As soon as Thanos is gone they all turn their attention to their fallen companion. Allison, Keeper of Intelligence was gone, she had just found herself and finished her trials but just like that she was gone. They gather and mourn her, the one who had knocked sense into them and gotten them to work together. They mourn her and the fact that they had lost to Thanos. They covered her mangled body with a sheet, and retreated to sit on the rubble as they wait for the inevitable.
It's nearly an hour later when someone finally says something more, Peter perks up and looks at the sheet covering the woman. "Uh- Mr.Stark, is that normal?" He asks and points at the sheet which was twitching.
"Uh, no- no it isn't," Tony says as he stands and walks over to it.
He doesn't have time to react when the sheet rises off the ground and falls off of Allison. She's sitting up, looking around, "where'd Thanos go?" She asks.
"He- uh, got away..." Tony responds, baffled because an hour ago she had been dead. Like dead, dead.
"Okay, that sucks."
Everyone's attention is then caught by something else, "uh- I don't-" Mantis begins but then slowly turns to dust, crumbling as she goes.
Next it's Drax, then Quill, then Strange. Peter gets up and holds to Tony's shoulders, "Mr.Stark- I don't feel so good-" Tony hugs the teenager tightly to himself, "I don't- I'm not-" he's panicking as he can feel himself fading. Tony tried to keep him calm as he has to watch the boy struggle. Then right there in Tony's arms Peter also turns to dust.
When Tony finally sits up and looks around Allison is gone as well. It's only him and the blue cyborg woman. They had lost and Thanos had killed half of the universe.
