honestly i think whatever relationship they have whether it be friendly, familial or romantic, that they would have such a good dynamic they’ve got a very similar experience that i feel there would be a connection and they’re very protective almost without saying and i see it as the kind of dynamic that saying ‘i hate you’ would be more annoyed and caring (obviously not all circumstances) and that it would be stand-offish at first but they would be close quickly

i honestly think bucky and yelena would be so good together like i feel like they would have a really good understanding of eachothers struggles but like they’ve got the same kind of sense of humour like it would be such a good dynamic

i know she is ace in the comics but i can kind of guess as well why they decided to go in that direction and i fear is the mcu followed it would be due to a hormonal problem as a result of the hysterectomy instead of it just being because she is ace and always was so while i do see her as being ace, i fear if marvel did it that it would be done with the wrong ideas and do a lot more harm

like it’s so clear marvel is doing it to bring in a new audience but they can’t even get that right like it’s been no representation for so long and then they screwed it with loki, they have no idea what they’re doing so i really hope future directors and writers at least have some idea because i would love some good representation

also talking about yelena being ace, i really hope they give her good representation in the mcu but i wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t

and i know some people say she’s aro/ace i personally have never heard that, but i think is they went down that path it would be because marvel doesn’t know how to have an ace character with a romantic partner

like as much as representation is important i think they’d treat it almost like a cop out because they don’t understand either so they would make it that she has no interest in anyone or anything

which would suck because id love if they gave proper ace representation and showed how she is still romantically interested in people

i think before marvel dives into aro/ace they need to also look at them separately so they give proper representation

BLACK WIDOW SPOILERS

i’ve watched black widow five times already it’s definitely in my top 3 mcu movies and that’s not to say it has no faults but i absolutely love the story of natasha and yelena and how it presents very real world problems and for once wasnt sexualising her character and finally giving her a personality almost

like i’ve loved her character for so long it was so great to see her backstory and i love the dark very real style

like while i enjoyed captain marvel i can definitely see that was meant to be more inspiring and a hero for a lot of younger girls which i love but i felt a real depth to black widow that i found captain marvel lacked and other mcu movies

i hate to see so many people hating on it because it’s a women led and women directed film

and i see the criticism regarding taskmaster so i understand to an extent but i think a lot of people are missing the point i think the way taskmaster was changed perfectly fit the narrative because TASKMASTER WASNT THE VILLAIN, she was simply another girl who was being used by a man in power and i think what makes it so powerful is that a villain like taskmaster doesn’t exist in the real world but there are people like dreykov everywhere

i feel like they almost ruined the possibility oh her almost being a hero but that’s because marvel has a history of having a very black and white mindset of whats good and what’s bad, she could’ve been a really interesting morally grey super soldier that truly had good intentions rather then someone like john walker who was ultimately abusing his power and seriously went about nearly everything in the wrong was

is anyone else kinda sad that they killed off karli morgenthau like i actually really liked her

i mean except her blowing up that building

but yeah i was so interested in seeing her character get a redemption arc in the future, killing her off felt like they didn’t know what else to do :(

also she was like hot anyways <3

i do see how marvel will almost definitely mess it up with yelena and it will most likely be viewed as a result of what the widows go through i just would love to see some ace rep, fanfic is honestly the best place to get it though i just wish marvel would be better with this

so far of the three shows fatws is my favourite by far, i loved to see the dynamic between sam and bucky and really explore these characters that have been sidelined and centred around steve, i loved seeing their perspectives and issues that they deal with which are so real and prevalent

i enjoyed wanda vision a lot but for me i don’t find visions character to be very interesting so i didn’t find him interesting enough wanda and monica were my primary interest and i loved their stories but the style of the show wasn’t for me

and while i really enjoyed loki there were a lot of problems i found especially him acting out of character nearly the whole show and the incredibly poor excuse for lgbt representation but i did love mobius and to see who was introduced in the final episode (no spoilers) and how it set up the future of the mcu

i’m not sure how to properly reply on here and definitely aroace rep is valid and we need a whole lot more of it but i think marvel would do it because they clearly don’t know how to explore ace or aro individually so they see them as the same thing that’s what i mean when i say marvel would do it as a cop out because they don’t bother just like how they weren’t able to properly represent loki being genderfluid marvel has a bad history with this so i really wanna see them explore it all properly and i think to start off we need to see them individually

also to add on i’m kind of losing my faith in marvels ability to give good lgbt representation after loki considering the only confirmation we got was a comment that could easily be edited out and then they make loki romantically interested in sylvie who is literally a variant of loki

like marvel gave us selfcest before a queer relationship wtf

also the massive failure that was loki’s genderfluid representation like i have no faith at all
