School is shitty

Yall ever try learning a new unit every seven business days and around two new aspects everyday? one common cold and you're in summer school cuz you missed so much in-class time its insane.

anywho university functions is kicking my ass rn and i may have to switch to college in my third quad or do two weeks of summer school idk yet.

this is not helping my gifted kid burnout syndrome at all, i literally have like a 43% overall in this course. im failing for the first bloody time and its absolutely horrendous.

i have a quiz tmrw on a concept we learned yesterday and half the class is so fucking lost cuz our grade ten teacher never taught us trig.

kinda debating offering to athena cuz my amethyst is not doing enough rn (although i do love it very much)

Do I think I’m pregnant every time im Nauseous. I’m literally a lesbian. As well as someone who has half of their virginity still very well intact.

stress can delay your menstrual cycle. also diet changes. you literally mess with your reproductive hormones like what.

i went through the monthly "oh my god im pregnant" thought, only to remind myself that i am, infact a virgin (look at me being all holy), then decided to do some intense research (like two google searches)

living with shitty wifi sucks man, like i've had to go through three school-supplied routers to get an actual connection and each took like three days to get. add a media class meant for the grade above me and you get around ten hour of continuous work yesterday, just try to catch up. oh and this weeks class, university english ( love the gifted kid burnout syndrome and the intense fear of failure showing up ). thank the gods for noodles, coffee, and chase atlantic cuz thats what im living off of rn.

ℂ𝕠𝕧𝕚𝕕 𝕋𝕖𝕤𝕥

So I had to get a Covid test due to not feeling well for the past couple of weeks and I ended up getting it at like 11:00 at night. Not fun. Even though I got diagnosed with tension headaches and not Covid, I still needed a negative test to go back to school. So I thought I would tell you guys about the experience.

Here’s some numbers

Uncomfortableness: 7/10

Pain: 6/10 (no pain during the swab, but throbbing in the nostril afterwards)

Time: Like 20 seconds in total (from swabbing to pain going away)

Distance: The swab only went up a couple cm into my nose, to around the top of the bump.

Hospital: Very awkward, dark, there was a swearing lady that was kinda scary, but I just don’t like hospitals

Overall the hospital was the worst part, the wait was about an hour and a half. This was about two days ago and we’re expecting the results soon. That’s better than other wait times we’ve been seeing so that’s nice.

Stay safe y’all, social distance, use hand sanitizer and wear your mask (OVER YOUR NOSE), call your family, take a break, eat a snack, drink some water, take your pills and please take care of yourself.

Remember, this is also an advice blog, I share my opinion on things, so I’m open to talk, and I’ll try my best.

Definition: The side of TikTok that advocates for equal rights, mainly based on fighting racism and the like. (ACAB!)

BLMTok: This side of TikTok surged after the murder of George Floyd (may he rest in peace). When I tell you the POWER that vibrated off of those posts, man. I got shivers, no cap. This side stands up against racism, especially from cops, and doesn't take no for an answer. They do many helpful things, like making empowering videos, sharing petitions and tips for protesting along with calling out racists while backing up the truth with facts. I completely admire this side and will stand with them. One of my favourite parts of this side is seeing those compilations of us GenZ’s wreaking havoc at protests. (I love that clip of the guy that took down a cop with that ankle-trip move along with that person riding the horse.) Overall, one of the best sides on the app. 

Rating: 11/10 Absolutely nothing wrong with this side, a bonus point for awesomeness.

Description:  The adorable and wholesome dads that actually know how to use TikTok. (not to be confused with the ones who have no idea what they’re doing and just use a lot of filters)

DadTok: Any video showing a dad being extra dad-ish is DadTok in my book. There’s also accounts run by dads, which are amazing. They mostly centre around showing people how to do everyday tasks that they might not have learnt before. For example: someone who’s dad was never there might not know how to change a tire or unclog a toilet (unless the other parent taught them). Very good intentions and all around a vibe. 

Rating: 8/10 (one higher than the MomTok rating because of the small chance of Karens.)

MomTok: I stumble across this side every once in a while and every time it brings a smile to my face. It usually consists of Moms showing recipes, life hacks, how to properly deal with kids, and overall just being huge Moms. The best ones are the ones that understand the teenage life and show other Moms on the app how to properly treat your teenager. Beware though, you might stumble across a couple of Karens (no! that is not a slur you daft doughnut!), sharing their weird and not-fact-supported opinions. Overall, a great side and perfect for if you need a little escape. 

Rating: 7/10, very wholesome and joyful, but watch out for Karens.

Definition: The side you automatically get put onto when you open the app for the first time. 

No Flavour: TikTok works with an algorithm that chooses videos that it thinks you will like, based on your likes, comments and interactions with videos and users. But, before you start showing what you like, you get the videos that have a small chance of being what you like, hence the name, No Flavour. In my experience, it was a whole bunch of straight, white,cis, skinny people dancing. (Part of that was me assuming, but the other part was me looking at bios and observing what they thought of queer people in videos) But that might have something to do with my location (Canada). It was very repetitive for me. 

Rating: 4/10, assumes people are cis, white, skinny and straight, also it was very boring to watch (for me). Might be your cup of tea, but defiantly not mine.
