the best way to support libraries is to use libraries. go get a card, check something out. not a big reader? they got movies. they got games. yes, like botw and fallout and let’s go eevee. they also have cds that yes, we workers know you take home and rip to your computer. we also do it. 

if you have a well funded library you might even have access to maker spaces that have 3D printers. or video/audio recording equipment. libraries aren’t these tomb silent homes for books any more. they’re community spaces. they’re full of life and things. 

put a middle finger up at jeffrey bezos and support your local library

What Does Lightsaber Colors Mean?

A lightsaber is one of the most iconic weapons in the Star Wars series. There are eight lightsabers all shown in all the Star Wars with their distinctive powers. Whether it is Anakin Skywalker’s blue or Mace Windu’s Purple weapon, every lightsaber’s color meanings are different. Let’s take a closer look at all the lightsaber colors meanings and their users below:

Blue 

Blue Lightsaber was the first weapon introduced in Star Wars which has been used by Luke, who was the younger Jedi. Other users of this lightsaber throughout the series include Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker. Besides, it has been passed between the central characters of the saga  - Anakin to Luke to Rey, through Finn. 

By looking at the characters, you can imagine that the blue lightsaber belongs to the Jedi Guardians, who confronted and fought the republic’s enemies. 

Green 

Green indicates Jedi Consular. Return of the Jedi introduced the green lightsaber when Luke ignited his new weapon on Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge. The green blades were used by Qui-Gon Jinn and Yoda. In addition, Ashoka Tano, Padawan used this lightsaber in the beginning.  

Purple 

The only person we have seen using the purple lightsaber is the Jedi Council’s Mace Windu. He used this lightsaber to behead the deadly hunter Jango Fett. The purple lightsaber shares both the light and dark sides of the Force. They demonstrate high-energy, instability, and determination. 

Red 

Red is the color of evil. We have seen villains using a red lightsaber including Vader, Sidious, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Savage Opress, Asajj Ventress, the Imperial Inquisitors, and Rey during the Rise of skywalker.

White 

When Ashoka returned in Rebels, she used a pair of white blades lightsaber. The white color reflects the purity which is seen when Ashoka obtained her crystals when she defeated the sixth brother and healed them of the bleeding effect. 

Darksaber - Black 

One of the rarest lightsabers is black, the Darksaber. Vizsla was the first Mandalorian Jedi who created this unique lightsaber for himself. After his death, it became a symbol of conflict and ultimately leadership among the Mandalorians.

The more we dig deep into the concept of lightsaber and lightsaber colors, the more it gets interesting. With the influence of Star wars, kids and adults have become huge fans of lightsabers. i think the elf markings are a sign of achievements in their lives??

rayla for example, only has her eye markings

which makes sense, since she’s younger and has very little experience. one thing we do know happened to her was her parents “running away” after the attack on xadia, which she obviously considers as very upsetting and shameful. her eye marks might represent tear trails, as something like a reminder not to follow her parent’s paths

however, if you look at some of the other moonshadow elves we’ve seen so far

all of them tend to fall under one of two categories: injuries or symbols (ill get to runaan in a separate post since i want to analyze his tattoos specifically)

injuries

tend to be pretty simple- theyre thin slices, uncomplicated, essentially looking like a colored scar

i think these are symbols of either a) a historic battle for them or b) a near-death injury. something important or significant in their life fighting

symbols

there are a little more complicated, made up of more stylized lines and patterns

this one, for example, is clearly not a scar of any sort. the moon placement is deliberate, and the lines over her eyes are too

same with this one; its an emblem of some sort, that is shaped differently from the slice on the elf’s temple

i also think theyre either a warrior’s only tradition or something found more in higher population moonshadow elf areas, mostly because lujanne doesnt have any

anyways, feel free to add on anything else you’ve noticed about moonshadow markings, and any theories on what they could mean
