Mick is proud after scattering hay across the room.
(He is shedding, and it's made some cool sideburns on his cheeks!)

Mick's one white paw!
He finally flopped and laid beside me. I'm happy to see how comfortable he is.

Legoshi, applying fur to the bed.
I love that his eyes are almost the same color as his fur.

(Sorry for the blurry picture, you know how it is with buns)
I put this box with a blanket near the window to see if Mick would be interested in seeing things outside.
He spends all day on the window box!

Look at them!
Grey bun- Legoshi
Brown bun- Mick
Mick has finally caught up with Lego, and he is no longer the little bun in the house. They both weigh 2kgs/4.4 lb.
They carry the weight differently. Legoshi is thick and stocky, like a little dwarf, and Mick is long and slinky, like a tall elf.
We try not to mention the size difference about their ears. We think Lego might be shy about having tiny ears. (His ears are so cute, though!)
When Mick gets excited or nervous, he shakes his ears and sometimes delivers slaps with them.
They both have a little bit of white fur on their front right paws.

Lego, currently shedding, has been enjoying this toy that drops treats!
He gets quite violent with it, as he aggressively rolls it from one side of the room to the other. Maybe he thinks that rolling it faster makes it drop more treats.

Unfortunately, the bonding has not been going well...
We tried table bonding Legoshi and Mick, but it was hard to keep Lego in one spot, and Mick ended up biting Lego's bottom.
I know that some nipping is expected, but I felt safer stopping after the bite.
We keep swapping them into each others cages, and they don't seem to mind. They still sleep in their separate cages next to each other.
When it's exercise time, one gets to run in the room, and the other stays in their cage in a different room.
We then decided to take a bit of a leap and try the bonding method where we just put them together in a box. It was definitely too soon for that. They fought immediately, and kept fighting even after we broke them up.
We have been watching some videos, and we have been doing more research, lot's of sources have been talking about "when two rabbit personalities are not compatible" and "how to know if the bond is not going to work".
It makes me sad to think that they will never be friends. We brought Mick into the household because Lego had lost his brother about 2 years ago, and rabbits get lonely.
However, we refuse to give up on the buns!
Some sources say it can take up to two years to get a pair of rabbits to bond, so I guess that's what we are doing.
It took me months to litter train Lego (even though many sources say you can litter train rabbits "in just two weeks"). So maybe Lego is stubborn, like us, and it will just take time.
Let's do this!

It's been about a month since Mick (brown) was fixed, and it's time to try the bonding process again so that he and Legoshi (grey) can be friends!
We will do this process slowly, at the rabbits pace and we will be doing a lot of research.
For the last few days, we have increased the time they spent next to each other in their cages.
We have been feeding them together so that they can associate the other rabbits' presence with yummy foods!
We have also switched them between cages so that they can get used to the other rabbits' smell and the idea of sharing litter spaces.
Legoshi (older) has been especially aggressive through the bars of the cage, and with enough threats, Mick (younger) has also been a bit aggressive in return. This happened a lot a few days ago, but now it doesn't happen so much, so that's a good sign.
The next step we are thinking of trying is the table method, where we put them next to each other and rub them. I don't know if this is going to work, but it seems more controlled than putting them into a new small space together.
I believe that it is possible to help two male rabbits bond, and I believe that they will be friends in the future!
