I just realized that I should've put Prof. Tolkien and not Mr Tolkien🤦
So I've seen a few posts ridiculing Mr Tolkien for calling an extremely dangerous landmark Mount Doom, therefore I would very much like to point this out:
The series was written by Mr Tolkien as though he had translated it to some little known of language (most likely the "Common Tongue", as they call it in LoTR). This means that Mount Doom probably sounded way cooler in said language.
But why Mount Doom of all things? And why can't it be in a language other than the Common Tongue? Probably because it's an extremely dangerous landmark and naming it Mount Doom will basically tell anyone looking at it/it's location on a map "I'm a dangerous mountain! Stay away or die!".
Won't there be folks who want to try to climb it bc it sounds cool and daring? Deserve, men, and elves have most likely practically grew up with stories of days of old and warnings about stuff. Hobbits, or at least most of them, prefer to live normal and peaceful lives. Those who don't will have heard it from someone they met of the road or something. Anyone who still thinks going to Mount Doom is a good idea will be reminded that it's located in Mordor.
Thank you for reading my rant.

I just had this thought last night:
Remember when Martha told Sophie that she wants, like, ten kids in Chapter 2 (I think) of Howl's Moving Castle? Imagine Sophie (after events of the book) sitting at home chatting with Calcifer while Howl teaches Michael some new spell, and she just remembers what Martha said and slyly informs Michael that his girlfriend wants to have ten kids one day. Imagine how red his face would get and how hard Howl and Calcifer would laugh.pter 2 (I think) of Howl's Moving Castle? Just imagine this with me.

Why is it that when I have a crush on a fictional character he's either in relationship that I end up shipping, dead before or by the end of the book/movie/series, a minor character who no one/barely anyone writes for, not part of a large enough fandom to have anyone writing for him, or some annoying mix of the aforementioned problems?????? Like, seriously?!

UGH there is NOTHING more frustrating than trying to research ADHD, it’s all “do you interrupt people a lot? do you find it hard to sit still?” and “boys are twice as likely to have ADHD than girls” and “here’s how to deal with your ADHD child” and there’s nothing about adults, nothing about underdiagnosis in women, nothing about RSD, dyscalculia, sensory processing, emotional regulation
i am not a little boy pretending to be an airplane in the back of the classroom. I was never allowed to be, because I was a little girl. i was a little girl who couldn’t sit still but i had to because ladies sit still while the boys shout and fidget in the background. i was a little girl who got left behind when recess ended because i was so engrossed in my small rock garden i didn’t hear the bell; i was a little girl who grew up smart enough to take precalculus, but couldn’t for the life of me remember my times tables; i was a little girl who got so angry and didn’t know how to stop it (“you can control your emotions!” my dad told me; “don’t bottle it up,” my mom said; “scream into a pillow, write it down, take deep breaths” everyone told me, and none of it helped); i was a little girl who lay awake every night terrified i’d forgotten to do something due tomorrow; i was a little girl who couldn’t make friends because socializing was hell because if i made one wrong move, received one negative response, i might as well have set myself on fire; i was a little girl who took pride in being the Weird Girl, because i had to; i was a little girl with adhd
and now i’m an adult woman with adhd, and i know that because of people on tumblr, not because of the DSM-V. The DSM-V and the CDC tell me little boys have ADHD, not little girls. they tell me if i don’t interrupt people (don’t interrupt people, that’s rude, being rude means hurt hurt hurt because of RSD and nice young ladies aren’t rude anyway) and finish assigned tasks (don’t forget don’t forget don’t forget if you forget they’ll hate you) i don’t have the inattentive component; and they tell me if i can sit still (what kind of organs do snails have, anyway? let’s research that for four hours) and avoid butting into people’s space (don’t be rude, don’t be RUDE) i don’t have the hyperactive component; and they only ever mean to talk to parents of little ADHD boys, and there is nothing, nothing, nothing meant for me.

Who else read Francine Rivers' Mark of the Lion series and immediately thought, "I'm naming my future daughter Hadassah"?

What would Thor’s interactions with Diana, Steve and other people be like while he is stuck on Midgard? Could Thor be able to not only contribute in helping Wonder Woman bring down Ares and his allies, but also be worthy enough to lift and use Mjolnir again?
I think he would! These are really cool ideas! Don't really know how it'd go down tho

Do you see Loki and Ares working together while Thor is on Earth powerless as to prevent their enemies from achieving their goals (to prevent Thor from getting Mjolnir as well as also preventing Wonder Woman from defeating Ares)?
The events were in different timelines, but yeah. I could totally see that happening.

If Thor was banished from Asgard, sent to Midgard (Earth), met up with Steve Trevor and Princess Diana of Themyscira in London after he was placed there (although, no one else, but those two saw him being transported to the city) and told Steve and Diana on who he is, where he came from, how he was sent to Midgard and explained that, in order to reclaim his Asgardian abilities and return home, he have to find his hammer, Mjolnir, would they believe him after he said what he needed to say?
Wow! I honestly don't know, lol. Sorry✌🏻 But that's really cool!

DC vs Marvel
So, I've witnessed an annoyingly large amount of wars in between these two fandoms (not necessarily on this site) and here's my take: Why can't we just agree to disagree with each others' tastes? Both have amazing heroes and villains. Both have great stories.
Yes, I share the Marvel fandom's opinion that majority of the MCU movies are better than the DCEU movies, but that does NOT make either fandom better.
Maybe some Marvel heroes are rip-offs (I honestly don't know if it's true, but it's been brought up so frequently), but they are still different in their own right, aren't they?
Anyway, my point is this: Why can't we just respect each others' different likings? If you must voice your disagreements and/or different opinions, couldn't you at least try to be mature and avoid a full on argument? Can't we all just discuss our disagreements without it turning into a full-out war?
If you have any disagreements with my post, kindly state and explain it simply. If you want me to take this down, please, if possible, inform me without the insults and yelling.

My four sisters are awesome and I'm gonna make this post to brag about them bc they don't have/aren't active on social media (and also don't have Tumblr anyway) and I need to find more things to like about them bc reasons...
First, my big sister. She finished reading The Silmarillion in THREE DAYS! She's also really good at crochet, writing (poetry, stories, you name it), singing, organizing stuff, drawing, and painting. She's been learning Morse code and Dutch and she's been doing great at both. She's also terribly humble and almost always finds a brilliant solution for her problems.
Here's what I'm talking about:

Next, my little sister no. 1 (eldest of the three). She's strong, has immense self-love, and has a knack at making people laugh (in a good way). She's also mentally strong and always tries to do her best.
My second younger sister is artistic, confident, determined and learns from her mistakes (though it sometimes takes a while). She's also the sister I keep mentioning in most of my Les Mis posts so far. She's also a great dancer.
Lastly, my youngest sister. She's very confident, active, and cheerful. She's a sports person and very active in helping us clean the house; has been since she was about three or four.
