The Wedding Joke

☘︎ Background: C meets L's friends for the first time, will a wedding joke ruin their friendship or their chances for getting together?

C and L had been friends since freshman year of high school. They had always been close, but lately, they had both been feeling something more. They were too nervous to tell each other, though, so they just stayed friends.

One day during their junior year, L invited C to hang out with her and her friends during their free hours in school. C was excited to meet L's friends and spend time with her, but he was also nervous. He knew that L's friends knew that they had feelings for each other, and he wasn't sure how to act around them.

When they got to the random classroom where they planned to meet, her friends were already there. They were nice to C, but he could tell that things were a little awkward. L's friends kept making jokes about C and L being in love. C and L blushed and tried to play it off, but it was clear that they were both a little uncomfortable.

At one point, one of L's friends said, "So when is the wedding?"

Everyone laughed, but L was mortified. She had always told her friends that she would never get married, and now they were teasing her about it.

C saw how upset L was, so he decided to break the tension by joking around with L's friends. He put his arm around her and said, "The wedding? Oh, we haven't even talked about the honeymoon yet!"

Everyone laughed, including L, who was still blushing.

As the hour went on, the awkwardness faded away, and C and L had a great time with L's friends. They talked, laughed, and joked around. C and L sat next to each other, and they kept stealing glances at each other.

When the bell rang, L breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't want to be around her friends anymore, especially after the wedding comment. She grabbed C by the arm and dragged him away to their next class.

On the way there, C said, "You looked good blushing, you know."

L denied it, but she was secretly happy that he noticed. She had always wanted to be with C, and now it seemed like he might feel the same way.

When they got to class, L and C sat next to each other, still feeling a little giddy from their time with L's friends. They passed notes back and forth, making each other laugh and trying to ignore the boring lecture.

As the class ended, L and C got up to leave. C leaned in and whispered, "I had a great time with you and your friends today. I hope we can do it again sometime."

L smiled and nodded, feeling a warm feeling in her chest. She knew that she wanted to spend more time with C, and she hoped that he felt the same.

Over the next few weeks, L and C spent more time together, both in and out of school. They went to the movies, hung out at the park, and talked on the phone for hours. They were still too nervous to tell each other how they felt, but it was clear that they were more than just friends.

One day, when they were walking home from to school, C took L's hand. She looked up at him, surprised, but he just smiled and squeezed her hand. They walked the rest of the way to school like that, feeling happy and content.

Finally, one day, during one of their free hour, C looked at L and said, "I have to tell you something." L's heart raced as she waited for him to speak.

"I know that we've been friends for a long time," C said. "But lately, I've been feeling something more. I really like you, L. I think I might even love you."

L's eyes widened, and she felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes. "I like you too, C," she said softly. "I think I might love you too."

C leaned in and kissed L. It was a soft, sweet kiss, but it was like fireworks went off in L's head. She knew that she had never felt this way about anyone before, and she was so happy that C felt the same.

From that day on, L and C were officially a couple. They were still a little nervous around each other, but they were also more open and honest than they had ever been before. They knew that they had a lot to learn about each other, but they were excited to do it together.

And one day, when they were hanging out with L's friends again, someone asked, "So when's the wedding?"

L and C looked at each other and smiled, knowing that they had all the time in the world to figure that out.

Short Stuff

L was scrolling through her phone in the hallway when C came up to her, talking to his friends. L was used to being the shortest one in the group, but it was still frustrating at times.

As she was about to walk away, C leaned on her, using her as a makeshift armrest. L looked up at him, surprised, but she didn't say anything. She was used to C's playful antics, and she knew he didn't mean anything by it.

C continued talking to his friends, and L tried to ignore the weight of his arm on her shoulder. It wasn't that she minded, but it was hard to focus on her phone with C's tall frame looming over her.

After a few minutes, C finally stood up straight, and L breathed a sigh of relief. She turned to him, ready to say something, but he was already walking away.

"See you later, short stuff," he called over his shoulder, grinning.

L rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but smile. C might be tall, but he was also one of her closest friends, and she knew he would always be there for her.

L laughed as C walked away, shaking her head in amusement. She couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous of his height, but she knew that it was just one of those things that she couldn't change.

As she continued scrolling through her phone, L thought about how lucky she was to have such great friends. C might tease her sometimes, but she knew that he cared about her, and that was all that mattered.

Just then, her phone buzzed, and L looked down to see a text from C. "Hey, sorry about leaning on you like that. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

L smiled, touched by his thoughtfulness. "It's okay," she replied. "I know you didn't mean anything by it."

C texted back, "Cool. Hey, want to hang out after school?"

L's heart skipped a beat. She had been hoping that C would ask her to hang out, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. "Sure," she replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

As the day went on, L couldn't help but feel excited about hanging out with C. She knew that they would have a great time together, and she couldn't wait to see what they would do.

Finally, the bell rang, and L gathered her things, ready to head home. As she walked out of the classroom, she saw C waiting for her, grinning from ear to ear.

"Hey, short stuff," he said, teasing her again.

L rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but feel happy. She knew that she was in for a fun afternoon with her best friend.

L and C walked out of the school and into the bright sunshine. L felt a sense of excitement as she looked around, wondering where they would go.

"So, what do you want to do?" C asked, looking at her expectantly.

L shrugged. "I don't know. What do you want to do?"

C thought for a moment, then said, "How about we go to the park? We can play some basketball or something."

L smiled. She loved playing basketball, even though she wasn't very good at it. "Sure, that sounds like fun," she said.

As they walked to the park, L felt a sense of contentment. She loved spending time with C, and she knew that he felt the same way. They had been friends for years, and she couldn't imagine her life without him.

When they arrived at the park, C grabbed a basketball and started dribbling it around. L watched him for a moment, then picked up a ball and started shooting hoops.

They played for a while, laughing and joking around. L was having a great time, even though she wasn't very good at basketball. C didn't seem to mind, though. He was just happy to be spending time with her.

As the sun started to set, they decided to head back home. L felt a sense of sadness as they walked away from the park. She didn't want the day to end. As they walked, C put his arm around her shoulder, and L leaned into him. She felt safe and happy, knowing that she had such a great friend by her side.

When they finally arrived at L's house, C gave her a hug. "Thanks for hanging out with me today," he said. "I had a great time."

L smiled. "Me too," she said. "We should do this again sometime."

C grinned. "Definitely," he said. "See you tomorrow, short stuff."

L rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but feel happy. She knew that she had a great friend in C, and that was all that mattered.

♡ background: After almost kissing in the hallway but being interputed by the bell, what will happen when they meet again?

After the awkward hallway moment, C and L didn't talk much for a few days. C felt terrible about what had happened, and he couldn't stop thinking about L.

Finally, he decided that he needed to apologize. He found L in the library and walked up to her.

"L, I'm so sorry about what happened the other day," C said. "I didn't mean to make things awkward between us."

L looked at C, annoyed. "It's fine, C," she said. "You don't need to keep apologizing."

C shook his head. "No, I do. I just want to make things right between us."

L sighed. "Look, C, it's not a big deal. Let's just forget about it and move on, okay?"

C nodded, feeling embarrassed. He couldn't believe how badly he had messed things up. For the next few days, C tried to act normal around L, but he couldn't shake the feeling that things were still awkward between them.

Finally, he decided that he needed to talk to L about it again. He found her in the cafeteria and sat down across from her.

"L, I know I keep bringing this up, but I just want to make sure that we're okay," C said.

L rolled her eyes. "C, I told you, we're fine. You don't need to keep apologizing."

C shook his head. "No, it's not just about apologizing. I just feel like things are still weird between us."

L sighed. "Okay, fine. Maybe things are still a little weird. But it's not because of you. It's just... I don't know. I guess I'm just nervous around you now."

C felt a wave of relief wash over him. He wasn't the only one feeling awkward. "I'm nervous around you too," C admitted.

L smiled. "Well, I guess we'll just have to get over it together."

Over the next few days, C and L started talking more and more. They would laugh and joke around in class, and they even started hanging out after school.

One day, C asked L if she wanted to go for a walk with him after school. L agreed, and they met up outside the school building. As they walked, C couldn't help but feel nervous. He knew that he had feelings for L, but he wasn't sure if she felt the same way.

Finally, he decided to take a chance. "L, there's something I need to tell you," he said.

L looked at him curiously. "What is it?"

C took a deep breath. "I really like you, L. I've liked you for a long time now."

L looked surprised, but then she smiled. "C, I like you too," she said.

C felt a wave of relief wash over him. He couldn't believe that L felt the same way. They stopped walking and looked at each other. C took L's hand, and they both leaned in for a kiss. It was a perfect moment, and C felt like he was on top of the world. He couldn't believe that he was finally with the girl of his dreams.

From that moment on, C and L were inseparable. They would spend every moment they could together, and they were both happier than they had ever been before. It was like everything had finally fallen into place, and C knew that he had found the love of his life.

C and L had been friends for a while, but they both secretly liked each other. They would hang out after class, go to the park, or just sit and talk. C knew that he had found someone special, and he was determined to make sure that L knew how much he cared about her.

One day, after class, C asked L if she wanted to walk with him to his next class. She was a little hesitant at first, but she eventually agreed.

As they walked down the hallway, C felt his heart start to race. He couldn't believe he was walking with the girl he had been crushing on for so long.

When they arrived in front of his classroom, C turned to L and held out his hand for a handshake. L took his hand, but as they were about to let go, their eyes met.

For a moment, they both froze, lost in each other's gaze. C felt his heart skip a beat as he looked at L, and he knew that he wanted to kiss her.

But just as they were about to lean in, the bell rang, signaling the end of the period. C and L quickly pulled away, looking embarrassed.

"Uh, I guess I'll see you later," C said, feeling awkward. L nodded.

"Yeah, see you later," she said, walking away quickly.

C couldn't believe what had just happened. He had come so close to kissing L, but the bell had ruined everything. He knew that he would have to find a way to tell her how he felt, but he wasn't sure if he was ready for that yet.

The Start of Something Special

♡ Background:

C is friends with L and likes her so he tries to start a conversation with her but L is an introvert and is shy, so she listens to him talk and starts falling for him. (Hope you like it this is my first)

C and L were walking down the hallway together after class. C had been trying to start a conversation with L for the past few weeks, but she always seemed to be too shy to say much. C was starting to think that maybe L wasn't interested in talking to him at all.

"So, did you hear about the new movie that's coming out this weekend?" C asked, trying to get L to talk.

L nodded, but didn't say anything.

C sighed. "I'm sorry if I'm bothering you. I just really like talking to you."

L looked up at him and smiled. She didn't say anything , but C could tell that she was starting to feel more comfortable around him.

Over the next few weeks, C and L started talking more and more. L still didn't say much, but C didn't mind. He loved being around her, and he could tell that she was starting to feel the same way.

One day, as they were walking home from school, L finally spoke up. "I really like spending time with you" she said quietly.

C smiled. "I like spending time with you too" he said. "Maybe we could hang out this weekend?"

L nodded, and C felt his heart skip a beat. He knew that he was falling for her, and he had a feeling that she was falling for him too.
