This is the preschool my eldest goes to (I hope my other two will too). I‘m disappointed that @IWCouncil is even considering not renewing their lease and moving it from it's current location of 20 years. That in turn will halve the number of spaces available and also remove a council funded daycare.

Globe Wilkins is a beautiful environment with award winning education and great staff. The progress and development we’ve seen in Joss has been magical! Every time she goes, heather and me are blown away by the new things she’s doing. They focus on arts and reading, two critical things for early development.

The school has been there for 20 years, and the school next to it has a ton of unused land so closing this small building makes no sense to any of the parents I’ve spoke with. It also goes against the supposed NSW agenda for better early education.

Unfortunately, the poorly thought out planning laws of late have put a strain on local infrastructure requiring the main school next to it to expand. They have decided to expand onto this school rather than using some of the available land they have. This will be another short term solution that will need addressing again in a few years, so why not just do it right now?
