We rented two motorcycles in Negombo for our three-week tour around Sri Lanka, one of which was pretty different from what we’d originally ordered. PSA: all 230cc motorbikes are interchangeable!

One last shot of the DR125-SM. I'll miss you, tiny supermoto! You were loud and wonderful.

Our last day, and we only had a few hours to ride before dropping off the bikes and reaching the airport. I thought I'd take a desert shot, so I could do a comparison post with the English weather... Turns out that was too depressing for me to stomach! It's rained here in Derbyshire all day.

I liked this mountain so I put motorbikes in front of it to make it even better.

This reminded me distinctly of the mist from Final Fantasy IX. It's actually El Teide at Teide National Park in Tenerife. The fog's the lower cloud line, that's how high the mountain is.

More volcanic landscape. This road was sufficiently long that I actually managed to break the tonne! In km/h, at least...

Caught a sports bike!
Stretched a sports bike!
I think it's a Z750, but I can't be entirely sure. Either way, my 125 looks a touch underwhelming alongside it.

Tenerife, Teide National Park, swarming spot for many motorcyclists. We climbed up above the road to watch.

Using our Carnaval wigs to confuse all the other foreign tourists at this view point. What? We needed a good Valentine's Day picture!

Chilling on a forest track in Tenerife after an early start left us both grumpy and scowling at the island's manic tourist traffic. Decided to lob pinecones at topboxes, because why not?
Later, we both nearly dropped our bikes on this exact spot while moving off, and saved them by a hair each time. Losers!

How can a bike have such a beautiful rear profile and SUCH A FACE?

The little Suzuki, all kitted up for a 4.00 ferry crossing from La Palma to Tenerife. I'm not sure our bag necessarily suited it, exactly...
