Another first. Attended the Floatfest today, a chance to get close to the Rose Parade floats, ask questions, take pictures, and examine the details. The quantities of flowers alone are astounding! An art form that may not be done to this degree and scale anywhere else. And it all starts again in a couple of weeks for next year’s floats. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to “the world’s largest small city.” We hit all the high points, some on our own and some benefits of @registryinterim. Our stay at @peabodymemphis was spectacular, the Mojo bus tour by @backbeattours was excellent (thanks in large part to talented Cecil Yancy), the tours of Sun Studio and Stax Records were inspirational, the @ncrmuseum was sobering, and the private tour of Graceland with dinner amidst Elvis’ many cars and motorcycles was quite unique.
