Laios gets a hand kiss as you play a gentleman proud of the knight's virtuous fighting! Senshi gets lil kisses on his helmet for a wonderful meal. Even Izutsumi is open to them in between her ears once she gets enough pets!

Chilchuck though... He notices you don't do any such thing for him. And he can't deny watching you with other party members can make him sliiightly jealous!

I don’t see enough people talking about the fact that Nick is a really good artist. He can briefly see a wesen woge and then hours later draw a highly detailed and accurate sketch of what he saw. From what I remember this is just… not really discussed in the show.

Muffled screaming. Everyone has it backwards

Oz is Darkness and Salem is Light.

Something something destruction is just the cycle of life. It's to clear out the old and replace it with the new. It's to learn and live and die and be reborn. Oz is Darkness, because he lives and he dies and he is reborn. He tears down the old (abolishing monarchies and militaries) and replaces it with what's new (the Academies, a council). He is demonized every time he does his best to help. He believes humanity shouldn't be punished for his mistakes. He offers choice and even knowledge (but not always; but choice is one thing he values above all else). He offers magic as a gift and a tool to use. He learns and grows from his mistakes. He's willing to concede and admit when he's done wrong.

Salem is Light. She is unchanging, undying. She does not age. She believes humanity is lost without Gods, that humanity, while strong, is a fraction of what it once was. She brings life (creating and modifying Grimm). She heals those who need it (Cinders arm, telling Watts to give Tyrian a new tail). But she's stubborn. She's cruel and terrifies people. She manipulates when deemed necessary. She wants to create a new world, one where she's the sole goddess. She hates Oz's gifts to humanity (possibly aura/semblances if my theory is right). She encroaches on Oz's territory and terrorizes those who side with him, and even those who aren't affiliated with him. She's petty and angry and a hypocrite.

I just. Sits down. They're Darkness and Light. They do hold qualities of the other (Salem is Grimm and destructive, Oz is Light and creates things), but it's like how Darkness can create life and Light can destroy.

another Simon list

(saw a post bring up this early CO scene in the tumblr recommended section, with Simon listing "the important people in his life" – when Penny tells him he can't have too many friends and needs to narrow it down – while wondering where Baz fits in the picture, and also noting that before bringing the list up, Baz is already mentioned several times in Simon's POV... got distracted though and tumblr reloaded before I could reblog it, so I'm sharing my thoughts here)

The answer, in short, it's basically the same as the other list. Baz is talked about in loving detail way before Simon introduces you to his world, the people he cares about, the things he likes. All these things are part of introducing and defining a character... and Simon brings up Baz first, before doing any of that. In doing so, his obsession with Baz becomes essential in defining Simon from the very beginning (he's already in love with him, even if he doesn't know yet).

Just like in Simon's other list, when Simon talks about this list with Penny, we can assume he will tellingly interrupt it to think (or attempt to talk) about Baz. I mean, he mentions something like "If I listen to Penny I'll never have enough people for a football match," an activity that's inseparable from Baz in his mind – after all, he's always there to watch Baz play. "That's a stretch," you might say. "He uses the pitch to talk about A Pitch in his other list," I tell you, because of course he does. Not only does he talk about Baz way before bringing up any list, we also see him interrupt it to talk about him.

Another thing that's interesting about Baz not being ranked and not being named in a list of important people in Simon's life (which is talked about after defining Simon as obsessed with him) is that tellingly, Baz's place in Simon's life isn't defined by Simon until Simon asks him to be boyfriends. Before this, Simon defaults to expectations, to roles assigned by others (like "hero" and "villain"). But Simon didn't define Baz as a villain – this was something already decided for him and he just ran with it, because Simon lives with structure (provided by others) and no autonomy, to the point it's impossible to figure out his feelings. The only times he's ever doing something for himself, outside of in a fight, it's when he's all over Baz.

But we know that Baz is important, way before he ever figures it out, because he thinks about him all the time, in ways you only think about people you have feelings for (people who are important to you). We know, because Simon doesn't feel like he's home until he can feel or imagine Baz in their shared room (he tries to smell him! he remembers his smell in detail) (all early signs that he misses Baz terribly when he can't see him at all, during the summer vacations, way before Simon explicitly says it).

Outside of roles, Baz is not (consciously) ranked, named, or included in any lists, because Simon can't define what Baz means to him. He can't define his feelings for him. He can't even begin to define the way he loves him, the way he desires him... He can't even identify those feelings at all. It shows us, before Simon tells us, that his feelings for Baz are too big to contain. They can't be contained by any of the structures Simon is used to live his life then (like the lists). Simon can't put a name on what Baz is to him outside of roles assigned by others, on what he wants Baz to be for him... until he asks him to be his boyfriend. (Once Baz takes a place in his life as "his boyfriend," Simon starts to understand and realize a lot of things, bit by bit)

after grinding to get through most of the princess rose event i have planted an idea in my mind that will Not leave me alone.

i was fully expecting asmo to be good at fashion, but when he said he needed help from levi for the dame outfits my brain kinda melted.(note: the brain melting part might just be me being tired after job)

now it is canon to me and me alone that when mc needs to go shopping for a killer outfit, the three brothers who are going with them are going to be asmo, levi, and mammon.

asmo is the obvious choice bc duh, but it's easy to forgot that levi does god-tier cosplays and mammon is a famous model.

now imagine all three of them collaborating to dress up mc for an event

I'm fully aware of people not liking the switch from Beacon to an open world in RWBY, personally I remember being really excited back in season 3 when the finale hit and we found out we'd be traveling because I legitimately wanted to explore remnant. Them having the group travel to also make Salem's threat feel more "end of days" level was a good idea. However I think the issue was that the set up wasn't great.

Part of the issue with early rwby (and honestly it never really got fixed) is that it doesn't build its world. We know of Beacon and Vale since that's where we are for Volumes 1 and 2, but outside of that we get no real mention of other areas until the episodes where we need them to exist. I think part of this has to do with them not fully deciding what visuals to go with and the limitations of their budget, but I don't really like when that defense is used because we still could've had in universe character conversations.

Ex: Have Weiss be disinterested in reaching out to her family but still checking up on Atlas news regularly to simply see how things are going. Pyrrha phoning home often and her parents giving her updates on the city of Argus. Jaune being from a small town potientially and his parents cluing us into a rise of Grimm attacks which would be abnormal in the area they live in.

I've said it before but the show really would've benefited from one more season before we get people arriving for Vytal. A season to build up beacon and better set the in universe rules.

We don't need a major budget to build the world, but it being prevalent and foreboding with this constant reminder that our group will one day face it would work really well towards bridging their eventual departure from Beacon.

It would make the shift less jarring for people who didn't expect it and add more content for the people who wanted to bulk up the story itself.
