``No Foe Can Fell Me!``
Tumblr media
NAGI POSTING okay I don't typically draw Nagi because I don't like her design BUT I DO LIKE @pierroettie 's NEO REDESIGNS SO I DREW NAGI USING THAT DESIGN AS MY REFERENCE
《 Pre-posting Lyrical here: I used one of Nagi's official sprites as reference too, so yeah, same pose. I might do more character redraws just to practice anonomy I'm really back. Also I might make a mini Fret to add to her so I can have 'No foe can fell me' 'Or me! Don't forget about me!' that would be silly 》
anyways take this sleepy collage disaster <3

Specifically with the Gluttonous Sin of Beelzebub being my favorite Sin of the group (not necessarily in Helluva Boss, but just in general), I wanted to make a ranking list of my favorite Queen Bee redesigns and their creators for really no other reason than I just feel like it. Now, this is all personal opinions and should not be taken to heart by any means, it's just for fun:
#1. "Beelzebub & Bibi" by @gravcore
Tumblr media
♡ In terms of an actual redesign of the original, I love how this artist made "Bibi" because, for one thing, they made sense of the originals hair by giving her a ponytail since way too many characters have a mohawk style (Loona included); two, I cannot explain just how much I adore the clothes they gave her. The top is actually insect based and gorgeous, and not some recolor version of Loona's outfit; and third, they made canon Bee her own character rather than a royal because nothing about the OG read "Ancient Sin" to anybody.
♡ Now, in terms of the actual Beelzebub, here, she's legitimately stunning. Rather than a redesign, I can tell this was the original long before the Queen Bee episode came out, and I love how it reads both "70's party girl" and "regal ruler" all in one. That, and the actual bug design aspect and the color scheme. Above all else, I love how they incorporated the lava stomach in her design, too.
#2. "Beelzebub" by @s3tok41b4
Tumblr media
♡ This design can best be described as a literal re-imagine of the canon Beelzebub as it shares almost all her similarities with the actual bug aspect to it that it desperately needed. It's legitimately simplistic but still appealing to the eye, futher showing us that Viv was perfectly capable of making something so simple, but actively chose to make it more confusing than it had to be.
#3. "Beelzebub" by @ruinxl0ve
Tumblr media
♡ Similar to the first two, this shares both a regal and party girl bug aesthetic with the added bonus of actually being beautifully emotive despite not even having a mouth. I feel this beautifully differentiates the design from the original while also making it recognizable and I feel that it kinda feeds into the original concept that Queen Bee could literally "feel the vibe", hinting to her being an empath in some manner.
#4. "The Three Bees" by @onehelluvatime
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ Long story short, these are three individual versions of the Queen Bee and her new placing within the Hellaverse outside of the canon one. For more in-depth explanation of these interpretations, it's best to check the blog yourself. Truly, I love these designs not only because of the visual redesigns themselves, but also the well-crafted and creative explanations and backgrounds regarding these characters. I especially like the idea that the hellhounds within society are half-undead with skull-like appendages and facial aspects.
#5. "Spontaneous Beelzebub" by @redd-byrd
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ I know it's essentially the same as the canon design, but with the small tweaks that were made to this one (the giant "Bee Butt", the added black lines, the actual bug-like wings, the blue-thin eyes), all of them give a more clear indication (at least to me) that this Bee is more higher up than her fellow hellhounds, meaning she looks a lot more like a hybrid thus making her more grand. It's nice how they added these small details for improvement while still essentially leaving the design like its original.
⋆⋆⃟⊱✪⃝⃞⃝⊰⋆⃟⋆ ⋆⋆⃟⊱✪⃝⃞⃝⊰ ⋆⃟⋆⋆⋆⃟⊱✪⃝⃞⃝⊰ ⋆⋆⃟⊱✪⃝⃞⃝⊰⋆⃟⋆
Anyway, thanks for listening to my Ted Talk. Have a nice day!

Finally found a new brush that fit the style i wanted in my head. Practicin a more quick and carefree type of illustrations since ive been gettin so worked up over obssessin with a cleaner look. Im proud of this one ^^
Also eyy izzy redesign reveal! Her og look was the best in the movie but honestly i gave bacm her more free-spirited and hippie vibe like in the concepts. My version works for alphabittle's teashop all while doin freelance craft on the side. Her accent is mixed swedish and korean. Still has that burst of bubbliness to her but she also has a more reserved and monotonous side that weirds others out. She struggles with low self-worth and trust issues when it comes to keepin in close touch with friends cuz of her past childhood, hence why shes often seen leavin the group randomly whenever she starts feelin like shes not part of the group anymore. (Yeh i kin her-) I also written her to be a bit more casually flirtatious as she aspires to be someone anyone would be easily charmed over with, whether platonically or romantically, she practices real hard in order to impress others. Though sometimes the maskin wears off and can leave awkward impressions of her true character. Fortunately sunny was incredibly fond of izzy when she was just bein herself, and actually sees her more charmin when she does so.

Please do! Your ocs look wonderful
Thanks you fav anon !!!
❥Here some steps i do when creating an oc !
When i created an oc in complementary of a game i usualy need to have a general idea of the game and what they will interact with so i can craft based on it. Fantasy universe with lot of sorcerer ? Here a dumb mage. Slice of life with bit of angst ? Here the most emotionaly broken individual you will ever meet.
If i created them based of a specific love interest i want them to romance i also think it's fun to add some similar or contraste designs in their appearance or personality ( ex valentin was designed to be winter themed and stand out in contrast of Qiu and Tamarack )
But now that i have the base let's flesh out a bit. What would make sense ? How they dress, their quirks or their interest. My rule is that they must at least have 3 diferent interest and that they need to make sense to the environnement they are in ( for exemple you have to think of how they must have discovered their hobby in the first place )
The way they dress is also based on diferent factor of "what would make sense" what would they wear take in count the fact that : they can afford the clothe, they are confortable in the clothe ( if choosed deberatly ), that it makes sense for them to wear it in their situation and compared to other does their outfit stand out or not.
Same goes with hair style, do they have time to stylize their hair ? Do they want to stylize their hair ? Does someone help them ? Do they wear it for a certain reason.
❥The big rule is "Would that make sense and how ?"
But what if it dosen't ? What if the fact they are doing certains actions or looking a certain way does not make sense ? Then either rewritte some stuff or find a solid reason as to why this character specificly stand out of the rules.
NOW ABOUT DESIGN.
Use references. This is really the best advice i can give. Have a gallery somwhere dedicated to designs elements or features you like and cook yourself a fun looking character based of it. Don't forget that a lot of info about a character is given by apperance only so if they look bland they will assume to be bland and that goes for every type of look.
It's ok to rewritte and redesign a character. If you don't like something, rewritte it ! If you changed your opinion on design choices, re design it !
To be honest i am at a point where i do all i listed instantly when i create a new character it became an automatism wich mean a lot of oc are created with pure vibes and.then are completed later. Try to apply it and then with all the questions will come answers that helps building character.
Also cool artist don't gatekeep, when i search for i name i use generators depending on the origin of the name and also the gender, it helps me a lot for last names ! But i recomand you to google it at least once before choosing a name.
❥the generator
Hope i could help and thanks yo for reading !

bweird's OC-tober Day 3 and Day 4 - Old OC and Redesign
I no longer have the original drawings but I got into story crafting and drawing when I was pretty young but I was scared of drawing people because I couldn't get them to look right. So many of my early characters were animals. And my favorite characters to make were wolves.
I was also into Warrior Cats so the wolf OC's name was Snowpelt, an albino wolf who travels the world, meeting a bunch of other unique and unusual animals.
And I rolled her into day 4 with a new design or 'how I would make her nowadays' As a Native American with albinism.

Cyberchase - Hey, you guys want to see something cursed?
So, I've been digging around through archives of the old Cyberchase website trying to do another reconstruction on the "How it All Started" web comics that debuted back in December 2001. Sometime around 2002, they redesigned the site. They changed the framing of the pages and removed some of the animations to help fit with the new design. I've been trying to recover everything I can from the original 2001 version, but there are a few pages where the original version appears to be gone forever.
Would you like to see something cursed that I found? I promise I haven't edited this in any way. The web comics typically took video frames from the show, tweaked them, and then added their own drawing on top. We saw some infamous examples on my post about The Hacker's most humiliating defeat, where they used screenshots from the pilot, including sacks of stolen Poddle Eggs that had nothing to do with the story.
Anyway, that wasn't really cursed. This background was used in "How It All Started" episode 3, where we get to meet the kids who would become the CyberSquad. This is from page 7, when they introduced Inez.
Here's a link to the image from an official archive of the pbskids.org website, which is running on the pbskids.org domain, so you know I'm not lying.
Tumblr media
And here's a local upload in case that one gets taken down and tumblr loses the link.
Tumblr media
Look at this. They halfway erased Inez in her own kitchen to make this background. This is clearly a frame from Season 1 Episode 4 "Snow Day to Be Exact", when Inez and her cat, Gatito, are making jelly bean cookies. Sure, they gave Inez a chocolate chip cookie, but that's hardly an equivalent exchange.
Tumblr media
And yet, this isn't the only cursed part about this image. Here's what "How It All Started" episode 3 page 7 looks like.
Tumblr media
Okay, so they had a frame of Inez in her kitchen from the show, where she has her canon skin and hair color. They want to use this frame to show Inez using her computer on the kitchen counter. So, they halfway erase Inez from the background to add their own drawing of Inez. They still have part of Inez in that background, with her canon ethnicity, and yet, they still made White Inez.
Despite Inez's ethnicity being established in the pilot, I assumed that White Inez was an anomaly from when they were trying to decide what ethnicity she would be in the final show. I had a similar excuse for the version of Inez from the character bios that used a purple star instead of a yellow one. However, this background proves that they had already written Season 1 Episode 4 "Snow Day to Be Exact" with Inez retaining her original ethnicity from the pilot.
That just makes White Inez from the web comics even more confusing. Plus, the fact that Inez was only halfway erased to make the background feels like either laziness when crafting the background or some sort of inside joke. Anyway, there's no use ranting about it now. My other post going through Inez's character bios and introduction contains my attempt at fixing these Inez drawings, for what it's worth.

On Saturday, I started reading "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. Even before reaching the practical part, I got stuck on a sentence and crafted my own writing exercise from it.
“The refusal to be creative is self-will and is counter to our true nature.”
TL;DR: I realized that I had wrongly labeled myself as uncreative for years. I reflect on childhood memories & moments of self-doubt.
In recent years, whenever someone asked me or it became a topic in some form, I would say, "I'm totally uncreative." I said it so much that I eventually believed it to be an unchangeable fact.
But when I look back on my life, the opposite was actually true. As a child, I always enjoyed drawing, crafting, and coming up with game ideas. Perhaps it was necessary because as a child, I was often alone, but thanks to the multitude of ideas in my head, I was never truly bored. My grandmother is a passionate crafter, and whenever she started a new hobby, I would join in. From window coloring to silk painting to knitting.
The first time I felt uncreative was in the 5th grade. The girl sitting next to me drew a lion, a character from her comic. It was quite impressive for a 10-year-old. I was so amazed that I decided to draw her character too. For me, it was no different than drawing my favorite Disney characters. But my classmates saw it differently. "How uncreative of you to just copy it." "L.'s drawing looks much better than yours." "You can't even draw." L. didn't mind at all. We drew a few pictures for each other, and we could have almost become friends if the rest of the class hadn't constantly criticized my "copying" and convinced her to stay away from me.
I stopped drawing in class for a while, except when I was with L. in religious education. But my drawings became darker and darker. Partly because I wanted to be “different” and partly because my classmates found plenty of other ways to pick on me or gossip behind my back, that it started to affect me mentally. My pictures featured grim reapers, death and lots of blood. I was 11.
When I was 14, I took a manga course during the summer vacation. We learned to draw with ink in a small group, and at the end, everyone got to exhibit their comics. Mine was about child abduction. Of course, why would I pick a more normal topic? But what I remember most about that course is when the teacher said, "Your drawings remind me of a famous mangaka." There it was again: Copycat, uncreative, not good enough. The teacher wouldn't tell me who exactly she meant. So until today, I don't know if there was any truth to that "accusation." I know I wasn't trying to copy anyone on purpose. But maybe I was so bad, dumb and uncreative that I couldn't help myself but copy someone else.
Two years later, I won a writing contest. First place. A friend told me that she attended a writing course during the summer vacation. A real course with teachers and overnight stays! I begged my parents to let me do something like that too. But they refused. It was a pity because maybe I had found something in which I was good enough and most importantly different in.
I wished someone had supported me. But my mother was convinced that I needed a "real" job. And I couldn't ask anyone else.
In high school, I received only top grades in my art class. I particularly enjoyed a project where we had to redesign a book. Mine was about depression. What else? It was so convincing that I almost got reported to the principal. I brushed off my art teacher's worries by saying, "Oh no, it's not about me. I just couldn't come up with any other topic, and then I happened to watch a documentary on the subject."
[...]
But even in my darkest moments, I somehow found my way back to creativity. However, I avoided telling others about it, because I hated their reaction to my art. For some reason, as an adult, you're not allowed to have hobbies in which you're not good at. And maybe everyone was right all along in my life, that I wasn't good because I was uncreative. And I convinced myself and others of that until I actually became devoid of ideas and what I feared most uncreative.
But that's not truly who I am. It was a decision. And decisions can be changed.

I finished re4r awhile ago and it was FANTASTIC.
I feel they really did the original justice. I enjoyed the QOL improvements that were made. Having your knife being able to parry is awesome and very satisfying. It's quite the game changer! The fact that you can use it even against one hit kill bosses like dr. salvador is so neat! While I don't like stealth typically, it's a welcome addition since the game doesn't force it on you. Having the option to pick off a few enemies silently is nice although I feel doing this made little difference in terms of making taking down the rest of the enemies easier tbh. Being able to simply kick and elbow barrels and crates instead of painstakingly having to shoot or knife them is probably an afterthought for others but i highly appreciated this. Crafting ammo and grenades is new feature that saved my ass a few times so needless to say love it lol. And next up the biggest change in the game, you can move and shoot now! Lol. Something I never quite got use to however was the 180 degree turn. In old RE, it was down + x (on ps at least). Now it's down + R1, which feels very unnatural to me. I dealt with it but eh, not very comfortable with this change. Leon overall controls pretty well despite this. I love that you can change weapons on the fly now instead of always having to go into the attache case. I do kinda miss seeing Leon on the side in the attache case menu lol. The merchant returns! With a nice little bonus, side quests! They are completely optional but doing them can net you extra rewards. The shooting range is back and I LOVE that they used 'The Drive' song and remixed it! Especially the way it amps up during bonus time, ugh so good. The fucking nostalgia man. Going on to story and characters now. I love that Ashley feels like an actual character and more realistic this time around. Her redesign is rly cute too. Luis being more present and fleshed out was great too. I have to say I think I actually prefer how his death was handled in the remake. It felt more emotional and impactful. Ok so with Leon. First off, I admittedly am always nervous with how characters are going to look because I'm not always crazy with how capcom handles redesigns and characters' faces. But holy crap, LEON THO. Every version of Leon can get it but Re4 Leon is my fave Leon so needless to say when I saw him for the first time in that reveal trailer, Me = deceased. He looks so goddamn good. I thought I had it bad for him back then, nah. Now, I'm fucking embarrassingly OBSESSED with this man. I want to devour him. It was hard to not stop every two seconds when playing to admire his....assets lmaooo. I think some ppl didn't like that he seems more grounded this time around but I actually don't mind it at all. They found a nice middle ground where Leon is def more serious than before but he still throws out one liners here and there. So his corny side is still very much present but he doesn't seem as cocky as before. Ada looks great and is as mysterious as ever lol. Story beats were mostly the same, a few things tweaked of course but I was satisfied with how the narrative was handled. And omg, was so nice to see certain costumes and weapons plus easter eggs make a comeback! The freaking gangster suit, armor for Ashely, the chicago typewriter and the reload animation, him sitting down on the chair and posing fabulously, etc. I'm just so over the moon for this game. It's one of my favorite games of all time and I couldn't be happier with the end result. I remember hearing when this was getting a remake and being like but why? Re4 doesn't need a remake. But now having played it, it's so well done and I'm so glad Capcom didn't screw it up lol. It was a blast reliving this masterpiece all over again 🥲.

Okay time for talking about ideas/concepts/trivia I haven't explored!! A lot is old stuff but some is new, lots of thinking lately lol.
Also a reminder you can totally ask me questions if you're interested in something I haven't mentioned or want something elaborated further on. <3
I was going to introduce Barracuda, Lycanthropy, and the other player shapes as characters, at different points and under different circumstances of course. I did post one concept of Barracuda, but the others haven't graced this blog yet. (Still have to finalise all their designs/redesigns lol)
Was going to do a lot of Q & Square unofficially adopted parent/child moments. Didn't have anything specific planned but just really looked forward to the potential fluff/angst etc. of it all lol
I was also gonna do shameless Square/Fresh shipping lmao. Its my story they can kiss if I want!!
Chip was gonna get a girlfriend. :)
Was going to bring up Qs past. It wasn't going to be super important/relevant in the long run, but it was going to be discussed.
I reeeaaally wanted to do some animatics. I'm not brilliant at that kind of thing but god I couldn't get them out of my head lol. Still can't haha. Especially one for the track "first crush" by Sabrepulse. ;)
This is a newer thought but I’ve been exposed to some new songs recently via my sibling playing rhythm games and GOD some of those tracks really made me go “I NEED to incorporate this into my jsab au somehow”. They slap dude. These songs fuck severely and I need to choreograph fight scenes to them.
A BIG concept I wanted to introduce was individuals having a "true song" (still workshopping the name) intrinsic to them that gives them their abilities. Square can hear them if he listens carefully. :)
Qs true song was gonna be a big reveal haha. It's not Close To Me. :^)
Considering the start of the blog was set approx. maybe only 1 or 2 months after the event of the game, there was gonna be a lot of Processing Trauma. Fresh is a recently rehabilitated force of destruction. Square just remembered he's basically god. It's all a lot to come to terms with haha. Denial can only last so long lol.
The main plot thing I wanted to eventually get to was basically "where did square come from and what are the repercussions of inserting himself among the mortals he created?"
I haven't pinpointed any characters' ages other than "around this area". Except Huey. Huey is definitely 17 lol. Everyone else is solidly an adult. Square and Fresh are mentally young adults. (Immature young adults, but still. Lol)
Before the game Chip lived mostly at sea, but after everything she decided to settle down to be close to her friends. :) She still spends a good amount of time out on the water, but she has people and a place to come home to now. uwu
Huey's special interest is flying/flying machines! When he and Square met in the factory, he was actually testing out a small single person craft he built when he got stuck.
Fresh is really into his creative hobbies. After knowing only destruction, creating is really fun and healing for him. :)
Q has a plethora of skills, most are expected because they live rurally and try to be as self sufficient as possible, but some are very out of left field lol.
Square likes dresses and being barefoot because of sensory issues, and swooshy dresses are very stimmy. :)
Sleeves don't agree with Fresh and his weird arms lol so he wears exclusively sleeveless shirts. God forbid he ever have to attend a formal event.
Fresh seems like the biggest source of potential angst, and yeah there's a lot there, but Square actually has more baggage of the two! While Fresh is up front about his traumas and insecurities, Square keeps all his stuff to himself. Fresh gets to hear a little bit but only because the two of them just understand and relate to each other in a way the others couldn't.
Aaaand that’s everything I’ve got I think!! I need to work on like, proper ref art and bios for the characters and stuff. Develop some underdeveloped aspects some more. I also need to shitpost more lol. Again feel free to ask questions or whatever!! I don’t currently really know how to move forward other than occasionally posting art so responding to you guys’ thoughts/suggestions for drawings or whatever would be good.
Love youuuu! <3

Super excited for all your wips! 👀👀
How do you render your drawings they look so cool!
*SWEATS* Mamser, I literally have no idea what I even do while I make art—
My rendering isn't that grand nor complex (and I don't think there is any rendering. They're mostly all just flats with barely any shading or lightning with this cartoony-anime mixed style), compared to other authors who also draw their character portraits for their IF's.
It's simple and workable, like my artstyle, and I don't think it'll get more complicated than that! If it works for me, then it works.
I don't have any big brain wisdom I can impart on you or for any other budding artists, because I'm no professional and is merely self taught, but I may have some personal ones:
Steal like an artist. Find something in someone else's artstyle that you really like and adapt that to your own! Artstyles are a personal mishmash of the artists you look up to, and not all are the same even if you and someone else may have the same artistic idols. This is different from tracing, however. I DO NOT encourage tracing over someone else's work and claiming it as your own. That is stealing, you utter criminal, and I will dropkick you if you do that.
Practice. Old wisdom, but it works and it's true. You don't become Bob Ross or Leonardo Da Vinci in a day after all. It's a struggle and it'll be frustrating, but I promise once you learn to draw the thing you finally want to draw, the high from reaching that achievement is absolutely real and so, so worth it.
References. If you think you can draw a sitting position freestyle from your brain, you're wrong, because when you look at a reference of that then at your sketch, you're gonna see a lot of mistakes in the anatomy, poses, perspective etc,. So, please, stockpile your references for every possible thing that you'll be drawing, because you'll absolutely need them.
Have fun. As artists we tend to compare our work to those who we think are better in the craft, when in reality we all are just trying to get better in what we do. Look, it doesn't matter if a 3 year old can recreate Mona Lisa in perfect detail, if you enjoy doing your work then that's already enough. I prefer to see "better" artists as inspirations to try and achieve more, not as some unachievable pedestal. You can achieve that too! May not be as quick as the rest, but you will get there in your own pace. Art is a journey, not a race. Take your time, learn what you want to learn, and have fun!
Experiment. You gotta if you wanna find out what stuff sticks with you and what doesn't. It also helps you find out a technique you might like for sketching, lineart, coloring etc., or if you just wanna get the hang of something first! OR if you wanna try out a new artstyle! Art is a science, in a way. A wonderful alchemy of color, wrist pains, and shrimp posture!
Also thank you for showing excitement for my WIPs, anon! I'm trying me best to work on all of them. You get a mwah from me. 😭💙💙💙
Free art from L? How scandalous! This is also just an excuse for me to ramble about my other characters amongst my 200+ bucket of them.
Some of these are old, but I just wanna share 'em for the funsies.
And, yes, the light blue haired, dark blue eyed lady in black and glasses and guy in a green parka with a resting bitch face are Carmen and Everest, Ophelia's older siblings. I also have Weylyn's older siblings, Bleddyn and Riekka, but I plan on reworking their design first. Why do I have so many redesign plans for so many characters.
1. Random character I drew for Religions Class last semester. I loved her design, so I kept her. No name yet, sadly 😭
Tumblr media
2. Rival Agent Team in The Company. No names yet, though purple haired gal is named Agent Carrion. All of the designs and colors were from picrews, I just changed whatever was needed to suit my own preferences.
Tumblr media
3. Lucian and Louise Dagohoy doing a clothes swap (2020). They're siblings I love dearly. They'll show up in an IF soon. I have big plans for them.
Tumblr media
4. Carmen and Everest. Had this for months now, and I had no idea when to show it. Might refine their design a bit when I have the time.
Tumblr media
5. Mint. Yes, her name is Mint. Not a Familiar, but a different kind of Fae entirely. Did this on my phone in 2019(?). I was bored at the time, and wanted to do a simple doodle, so I drew Mint about to eat a carrot.
Tumblr media
6. - 7. MSPaint doodles from 2021, during a boring class if I remember. First one's Quentin the Monarch Fae king because it's been a while since I drew that man, then Louise. She's usually drawn happy all the time, but I wanted to make her sad, so I did. Not that hard to draw on MSPaint, really. Great for lineless practice because there are no layers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. - 10. Raphael, Gabriel and Michael Zealon. A pair of twins and an older brother. They have the old designs of High Court Angels (this was 2021), and their conversation was based on a tweet I saw on Twitter. Don't ask why. I'm too sleep deprived to answer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if you're wondering what art program I use, I either use MSPaint (when I'm bored) or FireAlpaca (for most of my works). The drawing tablet I use is a Huion H430p. It's smaller compared to the normal drawing tablet (H640p) of Huion, and it's as big as a standard notebook.
I would add 20 more art if I were on my laptop right now (and also because most of my art is stored there), but that'll be all for now.

The Return of an Old Friend
Good evening, vampire hunters.
The development of Chapter 4 for The Heliotrope Chronicles Book 1 and planning out Son of a Hustler's Chapter 2 has kept our hands full, but we have time to share sneak peeks of what perils await Frederick and Sidiyq Qadim as the sun finally sets. Hiking into dangerous territory is heart-thumping, but exciting. How can one overcome fear if they don't confront what scares them more? ^_^
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
, I am relieved to reintroduce and redesign a couple of Halloween-themed characters from a long-term project I had to scrap, Amanda and Jackie. Amanda was concepted as a punk Dorothy Gale living in an alternate dimension that can only be visited by outsiders in October, a time of year that bridges the human and spirit worlds. She's a loner that occupies her time with reading and experimenting with recipes to concoct candy to provide visitors that visit her family's manor house. Jackie is her wise-cracking sentient jack o' lantern that keeps her company. Although his attitude gets on Amanda's nerve, they ultimately look out for another and she considers him the only family she has.
To keep her lore consistent with the Heliotrope Journey series, Amanda is now a condemned witch that was transformed into a demon in the afterlife when her punishers noticed that the torture they put her through had no effect on her other than strengthening her magic. She is able to return to her old self for one month a year. It was a luxury she enjoyed in the first year she was allowed back in the land of the living, but over time, she did not recognize the world she used to live in, leaving her feeling lonely. To deal with that empty feeling, she infused a pumpkin with a damned soul to create Jackie. It was not enough for her because she wanted more people to talk to and creatures to befriend. She crafted a village* and forged bodies from The Inferno's flora to give the damned a chance to be absolved of their sins.
Amanda then enchanted the village to materialize with her in the land of the living for the same length of time she is allowed there. Amanda took up a new hobby; she would travel to a nearby town to pick up ingredients to make candy using a recipe book that was in her family for twelve generations. One day, an oblivious group of six children came to Amanda's doorstep and yelled, "Trick-or-treat!!!" Delighted to have humans to talk to for the first time in centuries, Amanda smiled and handed them one piece of cherry-flavored hard candy each. She asked them, "Would you like to see a trick anyway? I'll give you more treats." The children excitedly nodded and Amanda hover her hand above the ground. She waved it slightly and small trees bearing creamy-colored apples materialized beneath her hand. The kids grabbed an apple and took a huge bite. They tasted like caramel mixed with honey.
Wanting the kids to hold onto the same kind of happiness she felt upon seeing their faces, she told them to take as many as they like for she could always conjure up more trees for the next group that visits her. Amanda was fortunate that the children lived in a Conifers Kingdom village and even more so her village grew to be a popular attraction for adventurers waiting to taste her sweets and pick up powerful nature-based weapons to aid them against Dracula's forces. A vampire hunter wielding a sword forged from The Inferno is bound to put even a threatening Veiled Nocturne occultist in their place. Though Amanda will always be sad to return to her true demonic form every November 2nd, the friendships she made and the inhabitants she created helped her achieve happiness. With her life having purpose again, Amanda now feels she is never alone. Photo by James Wheeler on Pexels.

please gush about your passions and pastimes!!! I would love to hear about them
ack- im happy you want to hear about them!
Passions:
obvs as y'all know recently and just in gen., i guess, writing- i love crafting worlds and stories where anything can happen and just creating scenes above all else, like getting lost in the details of everything. I love getting lost in my own world and making myself happy as most self-indulgent writers do (and showing off my legitimate skill in a proper form of writing after doing shitpost-y things for so long is pretty rejuvenating, XD). And upon going back to some of my older, posted works and wips, I still laugh at the dumb shit I thought was the best stuff ever and now find myself giving those ideas a refresher like my last writing update, because it's still a legitimately enjoyable read.
i love sketching for similar reasons, but more so to visualize a fuzzy, almost-there idea, usually about fashion. Like recently I re-drafted some outfits for a fic idea I had, in order to make the world and designs make sense in my head. And I redesigned an existing outfit, running with certain themes and embellishments in design. I'm so happy I can churn out simple sketches like that when i really put my mind to it and feel content with the finished product nowadays. I feel accomplished as a hobby artist now and it's all thanks to heavy online research, a few how-to books, and putting effort into one art class. It's the second hobby of mine that I want to be good at, almost as much as my writing. Speaking of, I sometimes draw what I write or dream about because it's that prominent in my head.
Wow i love music guys- ha, but you already knew that *lenny face*
Past times:
I really like playing the simpler games in life- not as much in the vein of it being less difficult or busy, but more so with fewer controls, interesting mechanics, and a captivating style that I can easily fuck around in or beat some levels for a few hours. Bring on the (spider) solitare (only 4 suit sucks ass why do i do this to myself), jewel quest (FUCK YOU CROWS), barbie's fashion show (SINGLE DREAM-), zoo tycoon (fuck guest happiness), and sonic adventure or x-men of course.
MMD vids are v neat, like I know a handful of choreos that are fun as past midnight exercises to get my blood pumping and i get to discover new songs and learn more about other languages at the same time! Also the aph as mmd crack vids are the best whether its them making 'i hate this' or 'yeah im hot shit' faces or being completely into it as they're forced to dance or simply copying a vine. Like, they give me brainrot and serotonin at the same time its so fun. I love seeing all the different outfits for mmd vids in general, too, on top of new covers i never would've known about.
I really love analyzing things in general, actually. It's how I learn most of the things I do and know now, even though it technically causes me to lose large chunks of time because all i'm doing is staring at the damn thing, XD. Sometimes (all the time) I'll look at a gif or vid of a character changing their facial expression as they do/say something and I'll be completely enthralled by it. Something similar happens when I stare at REALLY GOOD artwork. I think it's the technical part of my brain trying to figure out the individual elements which make up whatever that thing is, like what facial muscles are being used to convey that emotion or mix of them, what the character is feeling, how the lighting or shading of the environment or extra details in editing affects said expression, etc. And for art, I'm thinking of the lines, posture, composition, object placement, color palette, negative space, tone, and all that jazz you learn from studying art.
Scrapbooking is a fun pastime for me that's extended from celebratory cards to actual gifts to my personal sketchbooks. It's part of the "creating something out of nothing/seeing what you can create with some basic templates and decorations" kind of mindset. And it makes me happy because I get to be creative and my family members and friends (even my employer) love them as part of their gifts every time and come to expect it from me each holiday, so I'm constantly encouraged to do it in the best way. I've recently kinda gone overboard on using ribbons and charms for the spiral and stickers and washi tape for the actual book itself on my sketchbooks, but I find myself wanting to draw in it more because I did that, lol.
I love rewatching the things I love. I usually have the same commentary about it, but its nonetheless enjoyable. And I never know what new thing I'll discover about it next, even if i've seen it over 50 times and only have it on as background noise and don't actually watch it. And yes, I will easily let something play on repeat at least that many times in my lifespan as well (like, a full day of it, at least).
wow i love staring at characters im attracted to for hours on end can i get a HUYEA-

Six Days to A Greater Minecraft Servers List
Advanced Combat (model 1.2.2) provides buffs for blades that are already in use and new variations. The company has redesigned combat to match a samurai/shinobi style. This is due to streaming agreements the company has with its UK partners, but my little one was unable to comprehend the complexities of second window streaming rights. By no means earlier than have we seen vinyl data used to mow down cartoonish mutants, but hopefully it will happen more often in the future. If you'll excuse us, we should go back to our palace. It's a great feeling once more. Being an altoholic can be a lengthy love, but I can tell you that I've never had more pleasure playing in MMOs before this month. I can admit to being an avid Disney fan, but I'm aware that DisneyLife is not really geared toward folks like me. Signing up to DisneyLife is just like any other streaming service: You need to enter some personal information. MMOs are constantly changing. This is one of the few things that remain in fashion. Doggy once dreamed of flying in the air.
For the Bedrock version you may create shops in the game, and trade items with other gamers, e.g., 20 iron for one diamond. It's a little like the stock market. The value of the item is always changing. To get the best features, you must invest in the right equipment at the right price. While it may not be worth doing with the release simply across the nook, you may get the most recent release candidate proper now. It's a good thing, at least they're glorious decisions, proper? Sunset Metropolis allows you to dress in whatever you want. My character is wearing a red-and-orange blue pompadour with underwear and an stuffed kangaroo head on the front. You can also shoot at other people while you grind on power-lines or bounce off of cars. DisneyLife also gives access to a range of official Disney apps, with a free download every month.
With Netflix, Amazon and Sky's Now Tv already offering Disney content, is DisneyLife unique enough to warrant an additional subscription? It costs PS10 ($15 per month) which is slightly higher than Amazon or Netflix but is in line with Sky Now Tv, despite only offering Disney content. For some purpose, Disney sends lots of emails as soon as you've signed up. The purpose is to remind you how to utilize the service and the various ways to stream. Disney is aware of its aesthetics. This will direct you to the download page. The next step to do is download. No matter what the objective is the game requires you to use blocks of earth, stones, and wood to build homes and buildings. In the foyer, there's an enormous Chris Grant bust that he would like us to build. If it is, we would not build a transdimensional funnel that leads directly into another participant's meticulously crafted fortress.
So, don't be afraid of it. Below that is a page called"Character Worlds," which immediately caught my eye (one chose Frozen, the other Incredibles). To be able to gauge my sons' usage I sneakily installed the DisneyLife app on their Android tablets and put the icon of the app next to their favourites: Minecraft and YouTube. DisneyLife isn't just for streaming video, it also hosts soundtracks, e-books and a number of official Disney-branded apps. DisneyLife is a subscription only available in the UK that is designed to appeal to cord-cutters, and specifically their children. Google's emphasis on synthetic intelligence has been for years. The term is used to explain the efforts to create software programs that behave and behave in a way that is more human. EVE Online's more than 7,500 programs appear like a grain of sand. Just look at how craggy those rocks are. One of the most effective is an offline mode, which helps you download a file to your computer to keep the youngsters entertained when you are out of cellular or WiFi differ. It's just another WordPress site. Once you've registered, you'll have to create an account with a grasp. This allows you to manage your subscription, control your parental and add new gadgets. So now that you can, what were your thoughts on the episode?
Thank you so much for patiently waiting! I'm so happy to be able to finally talk about it.
Overall, I liked the episode. It was a solid episode with plenty of character development and great moments, and it was a good start to Artemis' arc.
However, unpopular opinion, I don't think it was as great as the beginning to the Martian arc. This episode went back to relying on the a/b/c plot structure (with A being Artemis, B being Jade, and C being the flashbacks), and with that, things got to be a little too much. The problem, I felt, is that the A and B plots were both equally powerful and compelling, and often it felt like they were fighting for screentime. At the end of my first watch, I felt like I had simultaneous whiplash and a bit of a mind-fuck by just how much information they tried to cram in one episode. The Mars arc was far more simplistic, slowly drinking everything in, and it was a little hard to go from that to this. Sometimes, the episode felt a little messy.
My other critique lies mainly in the Jade plot. The whole segment on Infinity Island was a bit unclear, and didn't feel as well-crafted. Yes, the Talia roast was solid, but some of the lines of dialogue were a little cringe, and I'll forever laugh at Jade literally picking up her phone/pager in the MIDDLE of the situation and just making a mad dash out of there-- it was a tad ridiculous.
Minor critiques include wishing that Will was allowed to acknowledge/pine for his wife in a home setting (it's usually only Artemis who laments Jade), but that's just the shipper in me wishing men on Young Justice were allowed to express more traditionally 'feminine' traits. I didn't care for Lian's new redesign (I like that she looks less white, but it looks very different from her S3 design), and Paula pissed me off, but that'll be saved for a different rant.
Good and great things about the ep! Jade had more screen time in this ep than the entirety of Season 3! (Or at least that's what it feels like). I'll write up a whole Jade essay later, but this episode did her brilliantly. Also, she was animated wonderfully and she was absolutely stunning in every single frame she was in. It was also nice to get confirmation (vindication!!!!) that she had a contract out for her life, and that's a big reason as to why she left. The flashbacks were excellent, especially the first one. I loved all the moments of characterization, Roy, Cissie, Will, they were all incredible. Will and Lian are precious (though it seems he's passed on his sense of fashion to her). The action was solid. I'm intrigued by both Onyx and Cassandra and don't believe either of them. On the whole, it was a great episode and I'm very, very excited to see more.
