Is it just me or do Steve/Bucky give off major Girldad!Energy? I'm sure they would be wonderful parents to a son as well and would raise their boy to be a good, kind and respectful young man. But there is something overwhelmingly sweet and adorable and just otherworldly about them having a daughter.

Holding their sweet baby girl in their arms for the first time and pledging to raise a strong woman. Having the most fun buying all sorts of floral dresses for her, playing dress and tea parties and allowing her to put makeup on them. I'm sure they panic when she has womanly issues until Natasha hits them over the head and tells them to get over it and they have a long conversation with their daughter (like that episode in Modern Family with Mitch, Cam and Lily) and Bucky would try using his reputation as the Winter Soldier to threaten her first boyfriend and Steve would have to hold him back. Going dress shopping with her for prom and tearing up when they see her all dolled up. Maybe Bucky tries teaching her how dance and it turns into a family dance session. Maybe she learns ballet and Steve and Bucky go to everu recital and bring her flowers every time.

Stucky with kids always gives me the fuzzies but Stucky with a daughter overwhelms me 💖

They'd make brilliant girl dads, I have absolutely no doubt about it. Okay, so the premise of this fic is Neal & Peter--of course-- and it builds on my personal head canon that Peter and Elizabeth struggled with infertility for a while and then moved on from the idea of having children (this is all build on the a few lines that Peter said in season 6 --I won't spoil it but if you've seen it, you know). ANYWAY, I explored this concept/head canon very briefly in one of my fics (A Sky Full of Stars), but this fic explores the pain that Peter and Elizabeth went through a little bit more in relation to that and then how Neal comes into Peter's life and ends up healing that hole in his heart that he wanted to fill with biological children. 🥹😭

LOL ANYWAY. It's a very angsty but also very fluffy fic so far and I'm struggling with how to present the infertility plot line without making Peter and Elizabeth look desperate for kids bc
