Back To Basics Lesson 27: A Thousand Years Until The End
Imagine the second coming happened and Jesus took the righteous to heaven. You have been resurrected with a glorious new body. You look around for the pastor who brought you into the faith. He is nowhere to be found. However, you meet with your worst enemy. You cannot believe your eyes. When you last met him, he was an intractable atheist, constantly mocking your belief in Jesus.
What is going on here? Did God make a mistake? Let’s find out in today’s lesson on the millennium and the end of sin.
Let’s read together 2 Peter 3:10; Isaiah 11:4; Jeremiah 4:23-26; and Revelation 20:1-3.
When Jesus returns, He will resurrect the righteous dead. The righteous dead and living will be given new glorious bodies and go to heaven with Jesus. The wicked will be slain and the earth left in ruins. There will be no one left for Satan to deceive or harm. Satan and his evil angels will be trapped on earth for a thousand years.
Let’s read together 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 and Revelation 20:4-6.
What will God’s people do in heaven? For a thousand-year period which we call the millennium, God will open the books of heaven and show everyone the cases of everyone who has ever lived. We will see all their actions and decisions which led them to choose either the side of Jesus or the side of Satan. We will decide for ourselves that God’s judgment is righteous and just.
For example, Stephen may be surprised to see Saul (who we know now as Paul) in heaven with him. If you remember, Stephen’s last moment alive was being stoned by the Jews, while Saul stood to the side approvingly (Acts 7:57-60; 8:1; 22:20). However, when Stephen sees the record of Saul’s life, he will be glad to accept him as a brother in Christ.
So, what happens after the thousand years are over?
Let’s read together Ezekiel 28:18-19; Malachi 4:1-3; Revelation 20:7-15; and Revelation 21:1-5.
At the end of the thousand years, God will bring His people and the new capital city (New Jerusalem) from heaven to earth to witness the end of sin. The wicked will all be resurrected. Satan will perform one last deception to goad the wicked to attack New Jerusalem.
However, Jesus will appear and reveal to the wicked the results of their choices and the final judgment. The wicked, including Satan and his evil angels, will all bow before Jesus and acknowledge the righteousness of His judgment (Philippians 2:9-11). The wicked will be destroyed by fire from God and turned into ash.
Satan will be thrown in the lake of fire. While the Bible says in Revelation 20:10 he will be tormented forever, this does not mean he will burn forever. We have established in the previous lesson only the righteous will live forever (1 John 2:7) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), not eternal torment.
What Revelation 20:10 is saying is that Satan’s punishment will be forever. The consequences will be eternal. Satan and sin will be destroyed forever. This is what is meant by the second death in Revelation 20:6. After this, sin can never arise again.
Once sin is eradicated, God will recreate the heavens and the earth. We will witness Jesus in the action of creation! We will see earth in its original splendor, how God intended it to be.
Let’s read together 1 Peter 1:18-20; 2 Peter 3:10-14; and Revelation 7:14.
What practical lessons can we learn from the millennium? One day we all must stand in judgment before God. However, God is a good and righteous judge. We have nothing to fear if we choose to follow Jesus and be cleansed by His precious blood.
Secondly, Jesus will finally put an end to sin. There will be no more pain, suffering, and sadness in the universe ever again.
Friend, are you ready for the end of sin?

"THAT CONTAINER IS LYING ABOUT ITS CONTENTS"
Matthew 7:15, “Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you LOOKING LIKE SHEEP on the OUTSIDE, but on the INSIDE they are really like wild WOLVES.” (GNT) My two favorite seasons are Winter and Fall! Winter, because I love Christmas, snow, carols, decorations and the like. And Fall, because I love the colors, Thanksgiving, the start of the scent of fireplaces, but most of all,…

Peter Tork and Michael Nesmith in The Monkees episode "Fairy Tale," 1967.
“The ‘fairy-tale’ episode was his favorite episode, Tork said. ‘Mike was so good.’ ‘
My favorite guest star was the one that was never on the show,’ Tork said. ‘I always wanted Janis Joplin,’ he said.” - The Defender, February 21, 1996
"Oh, God, Michael was so good in that, he was so good. It really was Michael’s finest hour as an actor. And to have him as himself over there, going, 'Wow! What a great looking chick!' I think he should have gotten an Emmy for it." - Peter Tork, Hey, Hey, We’re The Monkees documentary (x)
“[W]e were sometimes a minute short, so we started doing impromptu bits, which evolved into us scheduling time for segments with people we knew and respected. I had hoped to bring Janis Joplin on, but it never worked out.” - Peter Tork, leoweekly, June 2016

there's something incredibly funny about the dynamic between me, fandomed your bible made them queers but has no actual extreme opinions about christianity because i think it's all made up and you can believe in whatever pleases you, and my best friend, somewhat orthodox (with a natural hatred for the church any actual christian should have), very lowkey and respectful towards everything, frowns at me when i slander the apostle john, but straight up believes with his whole chest paul was the antichrist and will argue with your 80 year old christian grandmother about it

As a Thief in The Night
10 Nevertheless the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which day, the heavens shall perish with terrible noise, and the elements shall melt with heat, and the earth with the works that are therein shall burn.
11 If all these things shall perish, what manner persons ought ye to be in holy conversation, and godliness: — 2 Peter 3:10-11 | Tyndale New Testament in Modern Spelling (TYN) Holy Bible, Tyndale New Testament, copyright © 1996, 2004, 2015 by Tyndale House Foundation. I just wanted to take a minute to ask you all to surrender to Jesus. I’m not trying to be pushy, but I believe I’m called to invite you to heaven. We have all messed up and done bad things, and that keeps us from God. He is loving, but he is also just, and must punish sin. But,He loves you so much that would gave his life for you on the cross and make a way for you to be forgiven All you have to do is believe and trust in his sacrifice to save you from your sin. He will transform your life and make it more abundant and free. Also, Jesus is coming back one day, and we don’t know when. I believe that all believers will be taken to heaven in an event called the rapture. Then, God will judge humanity and trust me, you don’t want to be here for it. Seven years of pure hell on earth. Famine, war, diseases, and to top it off, an oppressive one world order that makes you comply or die. Also, you never know when you could die, your next breath isn’t promised. And, trust me, actual hell is even worse. A whole eternity of pure torture and separation from God. I don’t want you to have to go there, God doesn’t want you to go there, so much so that he made a way of salvation So please, trust Jesus today if you haven’t already and make him Lord of your life

There is No Hypocrisy Like Religious Hypocrisy
There is No Hypocrisy Like Religious Hypocrisy
Have you ever had an interaction with someone who gave you the creeps? I know you have. We all have. Some people easily set off our “phony” radar. We seem to be able to detect their fake motives and disingenuous character. Something in the way they look, or the look of their eye, or the way that they speak sets off alarm bells in our spirit. Then there are others who seem to slip past all our…

Isaiah 10: Discipline Versus Destruction
What lay ahead would be a devastating ordeal, yet God did not want God’s people to be afraid, for their crucible would soon pass, and those who harmed them would receive just judgment from God. #Isaiah10 #FinalJudgment #GreatWhiteThrone
Discipline Versus Destruction What lay ahead would be a devastating ordeal, yet God did not want God’s people to be afraid, for their crucible would soon pass, and those who harmed them would receive just judgment from God. Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians when they beat you with a rod and lift up their staff against you…
