The book of breathings/Elriel
Acomaf, the bone carver :
“When the Cauldron was made,”... , “its dark maker used the last of the molten ore to forge a book. The Book of Breathings. In it, written between the carved words, are the spells to negate the Cauldron’s power—or control it wholly.
Hofas, Amren :
Amren turned to Rhysand and said in that new, strange language-their language: "The glowing letters inked on her back... they're the same as those in the Book of Breathings."
Hofas, Rigelus :
Rigelus, he says "The language inked on your back - it is our language. From our home world. I can teach you how to wield it. Any world might be open to you, Bryce Quinlan. Name the world, and it shall be yours."
The language of the Book of Breathings is the Asteri's/Daglan language. From what I understand, when they corrupted the Cauldron, they also created what could be considered an antidote, which is the Book of Breathings. This means that Cauldron's bonds can be broken, as they are based on preordained guesswork from the Asteri's system, unlike the soul-paired bond, which is the real mating bond that cannot be broken. This could also explain why the Koh thought he could break the mating bond between Feysand, as he may have mistaken it for the Cauldron's bond.
Hofas :
She'd never encountered anything like that mask. Nesta had seemed at its mercy, brought back to herself only by Azriel's list of whoever those people were clearly people Nesta cared about.Through love, all is possible. Even getting free of death-masks.
Love was the key to nullifying mask power on Nesta.
Maybe that's also the key to nullifying the Cauldron's bond because it's wrong, because love would trump even a mating bond, because Elain shall wed for love and beauty.
Acowar:
The Cauldron was absence and presence. Darkness and … whatever the darkness had come from. But not life. Not joy or light or hope.
And yet, it was able to recognize Elain's different kind of strength and decided to gift her a special power. Maybe love is also the key to nullifying the Cauldron's power and turning it back to its original duty a tool of creation. It could be the key that Amren couldn't decode back in acowar.
Honestly I'm more and more into 3 sisters and 3 brothers being a prophecy, remember the book of breathings greeted the sisters.
Note: Let's not forget the fact that Amren knows the holy language of the Asteri, and what would that mean other than she was one of them? Also, the Bone Carver literally told us the whole history about the Cauldron lol. I think he's also an Asteri, along with Stryga and Koschei.

Rhys, Cassian and Azriel moving on instinct, we love to see it 💅
Rhysand
“I got there, and I could smell you. So I tracked that scent, and … And there you were. Human—utterly human, and being dragged away by those piece-of-shit picts, who wanted to … ” He shook his head. “I debated slaughtering them then and there, but then they shoved you, and I just … moved. I started speaking without knowing what I was saying, only that you were there, and I was touching you, and … ”
Acomaf - Chapter 54
Cassian
And in those blue- gray eyes, he could see the thoughts swirling in her as if they were smoke under glass. The cunning mind at work behind that face—the one he hadn’t been able to get out of his head these weeks.
So he’d just . . . moved.
Wings and Embers
Azriel
But I strode to my seat—nestled between Amren and Mor—in time to see Elain say to Azriel, “Hello.”
Az said nothing.
No, he just moved toward her.
Mor tensed beside me.
Acofas - Chapter 12

"3 brothers x 3 sisters is cliché and boring"
That's symmetry bitch. That's balance. That's harmony. That's poetic if you really think about it.

People love to be offended by Azriel referring to Elain as “the third”, but don’t realize that once again, Azriel is speaking in prophecies.
Tumblr media
“The Cauldron chose three sisters. Tell me how it’s possible that my two brothers are with two of those sisters, yet the third was given to another.”
That entire monologue reads like a prophecy.
He had never spoken the words aloud, but he sure as hell had been internally agonizing over it for years. Ever since she called his hands beautiful and made him blush 😌

Death Gods/Asteri
In addition to the fact that the bone carver literally told us that the cauldron is corrupted, there are other parallels between what he said about death gods and the asteri/daglan
Acowar:
The bone carver about his original planet:
The Carver folded his legs beneath his small frame. "Where we came from... I do not believe it is now anything more than dust drifting across a plain. There is no home to return to. Not one that I desire."
Hofas:
Vesperus about the Asteri's original planet:
"We grew too populous. Wars broke out between the various beings on our world. Some of us saw the changes in the land beginning-rivers run dry, clouds so thick the sun could not pierce them and left."
Acowar:
The bone carver about the Fae warrior who confined Stryga:
"for that long- ago Fae warrior to trick Stryga into diminishing her power and becoming confined to the Middle. Koschei, too confined and bound by his little lake on the continent. All before Prythian, before the land was carved up and any High Lord was crowned."
Hofas:
Vesperus about Theia confining her:
Vesperus glowered. "Theia knew that for my kind, this sort of punishment would be far worse than death. To be confined, yet live. To neither breathe, nor eat, nor drink-but to be left in half slumber. starving." That gleam in her eyes-it wasn't solely rage. It was mad- ness. "It would have been a mercy to kill me."
Acowar:
My sister she found a way to eat life itself. To stay young and beautiful forever thanks to the lives she steals
Isn't that what basically the Asteri/daglan do?
I think these are very obvious parallels between death gods and Daglan.Plus when Feyre asked the bone carver what are you, he said that he's forgotten and prefers to stay like that. The Fae think that daglan do not exist anymore so I think they in fact still existed but under the name of death gods. I think that the Starsword is now in Prythian for that reason, if Koschei manage to unleash himself from that lake maybe eventually they'll need to reunite the Starsword and the Truth-Teller. If so I hope we'll see the three sisters working together.
Concerning Amren I think that she's somehow related to Daglan since she knows their language, was she one of them, I'm not sure but I think she might be an old creation of them in their world, just like they created Illyrians in Prythian and Malakhim in Midgard. Also, I think she knows more than she revealed because :
Rhys demanded, “Why do you want me to turn conqueror?” Amren shot back, “Why do you shy from the power that is your birthright?”
His birthright? How did Amren know?
Silene lived for a very long period. Did she met her after escaping the prison? Or did she guess that Rhys is a Starborn based on his power?

Spring dawned
I know these scenes have been discussed before, but I’m not sure if they’ve all been linked (forgive me if they have and I missed it).
This scene in ACOMAF:
Spring had at last dawned on the human world, crocuses and daffodils poking their heads out of the thawed earth.
The younger queen merely gave a little nod, her amber gaze leaping over to our friends behind us: Cassian and Azriel on either side of the bay of windows where Elain and Nesta stood in their finery, Elain’s garden in bloom behind them.
And this scene in ACOSF:
Feyre and Rhys took their thrones, and Nesta and Elain came to stand at the foot of the dais, between him and Azriel.
Feel like foreshadowing of the hopeful future that begins to bloom at the end of ACOSF:
Spring bloomed fully around Velaris, and Feyre and Nyx were finally well enough to leave the house each day, going on walks that often lasted hours thanks to the well-wishers who longed to see the child.
A future where Nesta stands beside her mate, Cassian, and has a home to call her own:
But all that mattered, she realized, was the male who would be standing with her, first as they swore their vows, then as they offered each other food, and then as their friends and family bound their hands together with a length of black ribbon, to remain until the mating was consummated.
And so, naturally, we might expect the next stage of this future will include Elain, and the male who will stand with her:
I saw the painting in my mind: the lovely fawn, blooming spring vibrant behind her. Standing before Death, shadows and terrors lurking over his shoulder. Light and dark, the space between their bodies a blend of the two. The only bridge of connection … that knife.
Mates or not, Elain and Azriel can change fate and forge their own path in perfect harmony.
More theories about fate, Elain, Azriel, and her sisters below:
A perfect blend
Elain’s murky realm
Forbidden secrets
Hope shining through the Void
Shifting forms of fate

Sjm can't be more obvious than she already is.
The main villain of the spinoff trilogy is Koschei, Sjm didn't even bother to change the name of the villain and we know exactly which version of the tale she is going to use:
The Tale of of Koschei the Deathless or Marya Morevna
“I do not know if that is true,” Vassa said, “but they call him Koschei the Deathless, for he has no death awaiting him. He is truly immortal. And would know of anything that might give Briallyn an edge against us.
In this tale there's 3 sisters who marry 3 wizards who can transform into birds of prey and the hero who marries a warrior princess.
Like come on, it's obvious we are getting 3 brothers/3 sisters + Vassien (bonus for Vassa being a Firebird which comes from another tale that has Koschei as the villain).

“How it’s possible that my two brothers are with two of those sister, yet the third one was given to another”
This line made people have so many theories and thoughts. I have read some post about this and I wanted to give my personal opinion.
I do not think azriel feels like he in entitle to elain because his brother are with elain’s sisters. After he said that rhys ask him “you think you deserve her” and he pretty much said elain doesn’t care about Lucien. Az also said that elain bought him a present but she didn’t buy her mate anything. Pretty much i think he feeling was “two sisters love two of my brothers elain likes me , I like her why is she mated with another male when we both are crazy about each other”. Plus az is kinda also a main character and sjm doesn’t write main male character that believe that they are entitled to a female. SJM only does that when the character is a sexist like tamlin… like he believe feyre was his
Of course this is just mine comprehension and I could be wrong. I just don’t think that sjm put that line with the meaning of “azriel is sexist male” .

I was drinking wine and I realized something, 3 brothers two with the same color of eyes (Azriel and Cassian) and one with eyes of a different color (Rhys), 3 sisters two with the same color of eyes (Feyre and Nesta) one with a different eye color (Elain), you see what I see 👀
Oooh how great are wine epiphanies? It’s almost like the universe telling you good job for uncorking that one, kid.
I mean, there are a ton of sneaky parallels SJM loves to smack us over the head with, and eye colour is always a big one for her when it comes to weaving familial connections or ties to home/mate-ship.
I know it was mentioned papa Archeron had Elain’s brown eyes too but I often wonder if there was another reason she gave our Seer different coloured eyes to her sisters 🤔
