I don’t understand how someone can read the bonus chapter and not DIE from the passion between Azriel and Elain.
I mean….
“Elain bit her lower lip, and it took every ounce of Azriel’s restraint to keep from putting his own teeth there.”
“”I should go” Elain said, but made no move to leave.”
“”Yes”, he said, his thumb sweeping in long strokes along the side of her throat.”
Are you freaking kidding me? How can anyone claim this isn’t end game material?
THIS IS CANON.

Elain Kingslayer
There is beauty in the courage of a fragile fighter.

Elain stepped out of a shadow behind him, and rammed Truth-Teller to the hilt through the back of the king’s neck as she snarled in his ear, “Don’t you touch my sister.”

No, I can’t see Elain and Lucien in the day court worrying about her hair, I can’t see Elain with a man she’s uncomfortable with

No , yo no puedo ver a Elain y Lucien en la corte diurna preocupándose por sus cabellos , no puedo ver a Elain con un hombre con el que ella se siente incomoda

I just know that deep down both Cassian and Rhys are rooting for Lucien to have his endgame with Elain. My guys knows what it’s like to be pining and waiting for their Archeron mates to even acknowledge the mating bond between them and the pain that goes along with it 😂

Abbattoir snippet
“Lady Hunger does not ask or accept worship,” the woman raised her brows, more disdainful than offended. “Illyria was once a friend to her, and so she is a friend to us.” Hunger. Cassian recognized the marks on the other, soaring, well-lit walls if nothing else. The facets of Illyrian worship that he’d never gotten to see well-tended, much less grouped together: wind, water, sky. Storm Maiden, Once-drowned Warrior, Grandmother Starlight. What had been taken for so long, Cassian knew nothing else. Lost before he’d ever been born. The niche with what was nearly Feyre’s face- rendered beautiful, awing, familiar but utterly wrong- was much, much smaller. Darker. Littered in writing, names tracing up the wall behind her. Cassian shook his head. “That’s Feyre Archeron.” He tipped back his head, staring at lights so high above they glittered, this stronghold he’d never even heard of. “You- you don’t follow the clans. That’s why you’re here?” She flashed her teeth at him, wings wide as a sky flickering fuller in rage. “The little coward that pretended to be one of us?” A teenager, sitting before a vast stature wielding hammer and tongs, turned all the way around to hiss Cassian’s direction. “That child, ruling in the memory of a man who despised us? We are Illyrian, unlike you. We answer to no one.” “But”- “But nothing,” It was a snarl, and all Cassian could do was look, look at that impossibly perfect, impossibly familiar face. Cassian scrambled forward, after her quick retreating form. “Please. What- the names?” She rounded, robe flaring, showing a paler color up around the edges. “She is old,” the priestess intoned, like Cassian was very small, very stupid, ill-behaving child. Pitiable. “She pays her debt.”

Okay hear me out….
I’ve got WIPs, but I’ve also got an idea for an elucien fic, and by idea I mean basically just vibes. And the vibes are lumberjack!Lucien and floral designer Elain.
Snippet below the cut? Sure.
As Elain comes around the bend and spies the back of the cabin, her heart stops. There, tucked beneath towering Grand Fir trees is the most impressive male specimen Elain has ever laid her eyes on. He appears to be a…lumberjack? He looks to be several inches over six feet, with bulging muscles and broad shoulders. He’s holding an ax, swinging it at a huge log in front of him. He swings, breathes, swings, breathes, swings, over and over again, in a hypnotizing rhythm. Elain can feel the impact of the ax on the log in her chest, like a bass string being plucked repeatedly. He’s wearing jeans that look like they were made to exist on his thighs and a tight white henley, rolled up over impressive, inked forearms. His auburn hair is pulled off of his face and wrapped in a haphazard bun at the nape of his neck, but unruly strands still fall into his eyes.
His face is the most striking of all. He stares at the log like it has personally offended him, brows furrowed in intense concentration, strong jaw tensed and clenching. His full lips are turned down at the ends. He has a brutal scar bisecting the side of his face, running from his eyebrow, down his cheek, almost to his jaw. It only adds to his dangerous beauty. Elain thinks she should probably be afraid of a giant strange man holding an ax in the middle of the woods, but she finds herself wanting to move closer to him, study him. Suddenly, his russet eyes cut up to her. She startles, her hand flying to her chest.
“Elain?” He asks, breathing heavily.  She clears her throat, trying to pull herself together. You’ve seen beautiful men before, Elain.

I often see “I’m still waiting for nesta and elains apology to feyre” and I’m sorry but if you are still caught up in that nonsense you are perpetuating the assumptions that caused nesta and elain to act the way they did pre-ACOSF. I think feyre is owed a lot of apologies by a lot of characters, but her sisters are at the bottom of that list.
there is a lot to be acknowledged between the sisters but to say they “owe” feyre something after what has happened in the last 3 books is to grossly misunderstand sibling dynamics and the nuanced relationships between these characters and what becoming fae meant to them. It’s also erasing their unique and individual relationships with poverty, their parents, and their siblings. they were ALL children. In my opinion, in a lot of ways, and compared to basically every other character, they ARE still children

Those that persevere, despite all they've been through, those who still believe there is good in the world, as dark things we often find we need the light the most.

What’s this obsession with wanting Feyre’s sisters to be with the man who abused and heavily traumatized her? You’d never see Feyre stans wanting her to be with men that did disgusting shit to her sisters.
Y’all don’t see Nesta and Elain as actual people but rather tools that can be used to hurt Feyre in some way. That’s why y’all either ship them with Tamlin or Rhysand. And it’s funny because it’s not even their antis who are doing this. It’s people who claim to be fans of them.

I’m not a big fan any longer of apologising for Elain by saying she’s been robbed of all choices in her life. And I know I’ve said similar things myself.
Today however, I can’t fully stand behind statements like these. Elain went through traumatic experiences, of course. She’s been robbed of her self-determination, been forced into a life she never asked for. Still, Elain having no choice goes for a limited period in her life. It’s been a few years now. These present days in Velaris Elain also happens to be extremely privileged. (Not saying she’s not entitled to struggle.) She’s got a bright future ahead of herself if she wants to pursue it. Technically, she’s got all the choices in the world.
I think the problem is more about Elain not quite knowing what she wants and who she wants to be because the world has never been more open to her. Having too many options is a different kind of struggle. And I’m obviously not talking about her love life lol. I feel like Elain strongly underestimates herself and forgets what she’s capable of. She probably fears that everyone around her has these secret expectations, forgetting that after all it’s her life.
I don’t like how Elain (in this fandom) happens to be pushed into the role of this helpless, unlucky girl trapped within her mating bond. Because that’s not her at all. She doesn’t need these excuses. She can always say no. She just has to start figuring herself out.

I'm sorry, but the sheer delight I experience in the moments when Cass puts up with none of Nesta's BS and absolutely levels her verbally is hard to even put into words.
I knew her little venomous snipes were going to smack up against him like a bug hitting a windshield, but still.

So, the Archeron sisters.
You’ve got Feyre, High Lady of the Night Court, made of all High Lords who either slays or gains sway on every monster she encounters. She can melt your brains or scorch you into fucking nothing. The woman can literally erase you from existence.
You’ve got Nesta, Lady Death, future General of the Valkyries (you can quote me on that, I just know it) who can slay you with words and swords and is blessed by the Mother herself.
You’ve got Elain, the Seer, the trembling fawn that (another headcanon, but pretty plausible) probably knows what dried plant to blow in your face to make you drop dead and is also adored by the Cauldron that created everything.
Like Prythian never stood a chance. Nobody knew what was coming for them and they should be afraid.
