Imagine the Whitebeard pirates learning how petty you can be

You: *knocks on his door* hey pops

Whitebeard: *just sat down for the first time that evening* you have a talent for picking the least convenient moment possible to need me.

You: oh you don't need to get up, I just need you to listen and do something for me later.

Whitebeard: *squints at you suspiciously* alright?

You: Ace was bullying me earlier, so I need you to ask him what a furry is tomorrow.

Whitebeard: ... a furry?

You: ... Yes

Whitebeard: alright

The next day at breakfast

Whitebeard: Ace, what's a furry?

The crew: *immediately stops moving to gleefully watch Ace squirm*

Ace: *wants to curl up and die* why do you ask?

Whitebeard: I asked you first.

Vista: *leans over to Izou* where's (y/n)? They're gonna miss this.

Izou: they're hiding from Thatch in my room, they pointed out the doors on the kitchen cabinets are warping because he said their chowder was bland and lacked soul.

Vista: wasn't it their mum's recipe?

Izou: yup

Marco: wait, didn't Ace make fun of a picture (y/n) drew yesterday?

Izou and Vista: (⁠☉⁠｡⁠☉⁠)⁠!

Izou: you don't think this, *points at Whitebeard and Ace* has anything to do with that?

Vista: I dunno, but I definitely know I'm gonna go outta my way to stay on their good side from now on.

Izou: A wise choice, I'm doing the same

Marco: I'm not

Izou: Why the hell not?

Marco: I'm not afraid of them.

You: *Grabs his ankle from under the table where you've been hiding the entire time*

Marco: *screams*

You: hehe, you would be wise to be nice to me. I already know what I'll do to you if you don't. It'll knock you outta yer gay little shoes.

Marco: my shoes aren't gay!

Vista: no they're pretty gay, thought you knew.

Izou: *nods his head* it's the tassels

being part of dog health fb groups is great because it really broadens your horizons and gives a lot of context across breeds and teaches a lot of nuance in interpretation

#hear me out bitch born in jan 21 #1t litter in dec 22 and another in aug 23 - so back to back cycles totalling 8 puppies #THEN at age 3 xrays hips and the balls not in the gd socket and theres pronounced calcification and deterioration #like great job ma'am. if your dog had a chance at a normal qol you took it away.#population wide screening for HD is important for the sake of your lines future but maybe even more pertinently #breeding a female with moderate+ hips is NOT UNLIKELY to cause irreversible damage to those joints #you se a LOT of bitches suddenly get hip screened after their 1st or 2nd litter because #the added weight and physicall toll from having puppies (including muscle loss) suddenly makes them symptomatic #and then you can't take that back. the puppies may or may not be better off than their mother - hips are complicates - but the die is cast

“He Is Risen Indeed!”

“Anyone who's heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ knows that He died on the cross for our sins. But did you know that shortly before his death, Jesus himself prophesied that he would rise again on the third day?

Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone,

“And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.” —Luke 9:21-22

I still wonder why the disciples forgot that Jesus had said this. If they had remembered it, then maybe they wouldn't have been hiding behind a locked door for days after Christ was crucified. Maybe they wouldn't have been fearing for their lives. Maybe they had forgotten because they were so traumatized that the man they had followed for three years and had given up everything for was so brutally killed and now seemed to be gone from them forever. Whatever the case may have been, they must have been devastated.

Maybe they hadn't heard the conversation that Jesus had with the Pharisees and teachers, just before his death.

“Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” —Matthew 12:38-40

We know that Mary Magdalene and the other Mary remembered Jesus' words because when the two women went to the tomb on the third day after Jesus was crucified, they discovered that the tomb was empty and two angels who were there said to them:

“He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ And they remembered His words.” —Luke 24:6-8

Jesus knew that He would rise again on the third day because He is who He claimed to be: the Son of God. How would Jesus know unless He truly is the Messiah? Christ's resurrection conclusively demonstrates His power over the grave and proves He is the Son of God. Because of this, we can know that we can have eternal life. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we know that God can also raise us from the grave.”
