inuyasha being stunned by the sheer amount of goods in a grocery store...gold. earlier in this episode he also seemed enamored by baked goods, and i wonder if he's ever really had anything resembling it? bread made its way to japan mid-16th century via portuguese traders, so it's likely he's never had anything like it and the smell must've been new to him - it would've been interesting if we'd seen him trying all these new foods!

i can never decide whether or not sunrise likes inukag bc they'll cut out canon scenes of them but then insert scenes like this in their filler eps...what game are ya'll playing? but flustered inuyasha is adorable so i can't complain this time.

anyway this episode is a dumb fun and i love it to an insane degree. the only part i would say is out of character (at least, more out of character than sunrise already does inuyasha) is when he literally makes this face at the thought of confessing to kagome:

coming from the guy who was pretty open about his feelings in the manga and quite literally told kagome - thinking she was hearing him - that he likes seeing her smile and feels relieved when he's by her side, i don't see him getting this flustered - but the face he makes is priceless.

I think we should just bring back Wungo Wednesday and start a fandom collective anime rewatch

#Because otherwise I can feel I won't last much longer #Because like. The last two hyperfixations of mine ended the moment I started feeling like there wasn't any new content #And two days ago in one day I started a new manga a new book and rewatching a favourite show #Whereas I hadn't started anything new in the two years ever since I got into bsd. Which makes it NOT a good sign #But the bsd anime has now ended for one month and 25 days and that's the last time the plot actually moved forward. #And if I counted right. The manga took 4 chapters (that is chapters 110-111) to adapt 6 minutes #That means it's going to take another 12 months (18 minutes left to adapt. that's 12 more chapters) to catch up with the anime #Yeah I'm not. sticking around this long with nothing new to see I'm sorry #Best case scenario I take a one year hiatus but that doesn't make it sound likely that I'll be back #And I know it's fresh news as early as this morning that author said they were introducing a new character but like. #They also said they finished writing this arc like. One year and half ago if I remember correctly? #And we still have yet to see the end of i t so... #That is to say. I'll probably be starting an anime rewatch starting next Wednesday. I've been meaning to do it for a while anyway #I don't want to leave the fandom I like the one chapter a month format #On the positive news I still have a queue of original posts that spans over ten months #And I was meaning to start the reblogs queue too in these days. the dream smp journey: attempting to make the lore of the dream smp more accessible.

so back when i first wanted to get into the dream smp i had absolutely no idea where to start. i asked some people and they told me pretty much “look up dream smp + [insert youtuber name] and start there” and so i did, but i quickly came to realize how much i was missing from the story by not seeing all the different points of view.

so i decided to make my own playlist.

it was just for myself at first, but as i got more obsessed with the story, i also gave the link to some friends of mine so they could have the full experience, and they loved it. so i kept updating it.

my goal was to try and make a capsule of the entirety of the lore on the dream smp across almost every single POV, because while i do appreciate those who make recap videos, they always miss something and it’s usually with peoples’ POV who aren’t considered to be “main characters” which sucks because one of my favorite things about the dream smp was how everyone was their own main character with their own individual storyline you could get invested in.

i’ve seen every single video in the playlist, and did my absolute best to discern what should be included and what didn’t need to be. 

for instance, while i personally enjoyed streams where they’d just goof off, this is a lore-centric playist so i didn’t include all of them unless one of the jokes or such gets mentioned/becomes important later on. or if there is a lore event happening but two people have almost identical streams to one another then i decided between the two of them which one to keep. or if the cc themself made an edited version of their experience, i would decide whether to go with that or keep the original vod

it’s far from perfect. i tried to keep up with it as long as i could I STILL HAVE VIDEOS IN MY WATCH LATER THAT I PLANNED TO ADD but simply put while the dream smp storyline got longer and longer it became harder to keep up with. i watched pretty much all the streams when they happened but failed to update the playlist accordingly so right now it has almost everything up until ”Hitting on 16.”

i always wanted to finish it before i posted it, but i’ve been seeing people talk about how they miss the experience of watching the dream smp and while i obviously can’t provide the full interactive experience that the dream smp offered as it came out, i knew i couldn’t just keep this in my back pocket and thought i could at least offer a good chunk of the experience for you guys to still be able to keep!

there’s also a semi-canon playlist (not nearly as thorough) for events that get mentioned by the cc’s a lot or are just cool to have and i wanted to include them somewhere so here it is also!!

to go along with it i also made a masterpost (can you tell i love making lists) which is what every single video on the playlist is supposed to be (and was last i checked, but videos get taken down every so often so there might be a couple missing here and there).

i hope to update this one day and have it fully finished, but with my schedule (full-time college student babyyyy) and simply the hundreds of hours of content i’d need to sift through it just seems impossible (and frankly just really intimidating) to challenge alone right now. so i also wanted to give this to the community to maybe be able to do what i couldn’t!

my hope with this is that if someone in a year or two (or whenever really) is interested in the dream smp they won’t have to sit through recap videos and instead can watch the real thing in a single playlist connected to the doc. my dream is for the masterpost and the playlist to go hand-in-hand, being like a guide people can follow that would also link to other moments and lore that is saved but just not avaliable on youtube, so we don’t have all these moments just lost to time.

i want to make this collaborative, i’m hoping this will maybe spark others to share what videos/moments they have saved and stored with each other for the dream smp and maybe together we could complete this thing somehow!! make the playlist and masterpost i dreamed of (the one right now is scuffed, but at least it’s something). the dream smp is one of my absolute favorite pieces of media out there and i want to share this with people but (as you can probably tell) i have no idea what i’m doing!! any step to help make the story more readily accessible is a good one, though!

i know i’ve missed things but i’ve done my best. and while not the perfectly polished thing i hoped it would be when i sent it out to the world maybe it could be a good building block for the community to use. so please share this!! reblog it!! all that jazz!! i want this to be for everyone!!

been thinking about the liyue gang and how id draw their physical builds so here are some thoughts i had for xy cy and gm in particular

- xingqiu, unsurprisingly, would be quite lanky. i like to think he has broad-ish shoulders, like a thin athlete's build? hes a long boy to me haha, long face, neck, limbs, fingers etc, so naturally hes stands (comparatively) tall at 5'6" or 5'7"

i like to think hes most physically attractive one and has that handsome princely and boyish charm to him because it adds a lot to his fuckass duality LOL

- chongyun is a lot like xiao imo! short stature but with muscular arms. he seems nimble and flexible because of his normal attack animations (which bears a lot of similarities to xiao's actually! this + the fact that chongyun's normal attacks create gusts of wind further reinforces my hc that xiao trains him). sometimes i watch high energy choreography vids on youtube and some dancers look incredibly light on their feet, almost like their body is inherently bouncy? and i imagine chongyun to have that agility to him. chongyun has a delicate face and aura and i let that bleed into my hcs for his fighting style and physical capabilities hahaha. hes kind of like a cat who's deceptively strong. as for height.. just a few inches taller than xiao, so perceptibly short at 5'4"

- ga ming my new beloved. pretty much similar to chongyun but more muscular and stronger just because he wields his claymore with ease. theres a noticeable weight different between cy and his claymore the way he lugs it up after he swings (or even other claymore users like razor who, on his last hit, bounces from impact). meanwhile ga ming literally slams his to the ground LOL. i love his movements though hes very swift and expressive and radiant.. if cy has delicate movements then ga ming's is fierce and (charmingly!) assertive

ga ming is wonderfully charismatic though, i know hes not well known in liyue harbor yet, but he seems like the type to gain a reputation from his friendliness. how could no one adore him hahaha. 5'5" for height! just between xy and xq

#tangy talks genshin #chongyun gets analyzed most my bad #this was super fun though #while thoughtful ; genshin chara designs will always look distinctly gacha and flashy so a lot of the designs kinda blur together in my hea #this is why i really like looking into their animations particuarly their normal attacks #i think it conveys their personalities really well! it's always something to look forward to when new characters release #i gravitate towards swords polearms and claymores most though because i like the act of swinging and slashing hah. it also requires a lot o #body movement and reflects a lot of irl martial arts fencing and other combat techniques #sword users are always really fun to watch because theyre inherently graceful hahah. i will admit it gets kinda repetitive #i think my favorite NA animation has to be albedo's.. very simple clean and refined. he stands elegantly and puts his arm behind his back o #his 2nd attack which ive been transfixed by since be first came out in 2020 LOL. i love albebo #wow these tags are long as hell #but anyway i actually have more thoughts on xq's physical appearance but its just me rambling about how i think hes funny as fuck #im a proponent of dashingly pretty princely xingqiu not necessarily because i want to bestow upon him desirable traits #but because i think its funny knowing hes just a bit of a loser under all that #hes well known (mr worldwide one might say) and the heir to a prestigious guild and chivalrous talented and prolific #but he writes self insert novels hates carrots had bad handwriting sings really bad #hes just a teenage boy #as always i will 100% have more to say about chongyun but ill save that for another post #ga ming on the other hand.. i dont have anything substantial to say but hes super fun to think about #hes such a likable character #wow these tags are LONG as fuck ill stop now.

I’m bored and tired and procrastinating on what I should be doing. So here’s a list of random First headcanons

Orville was his best friend ever since he could remember. Their families were neighbors, so they knew one another well. When First’s parents died (he was about ten) Orville’s family took him in and the boys became like brothers.

First always had a strong sense of morality and a whole lot of bravery. He frequently stuck up for Orville at school and was known for helping random people for no apparent reason.

He entered the army as soon as he was old enough and fought courageously for Hyrule as captain of the royal force for multiple years before his imprisonment.

His loyalty made him a favorite of the royal family until…well you know

He is generally quiet and serious (though he never hesitates to speak his mind when he feels it’s necessary), but around those he is close to he can be quite outgoing and even silly (Hylia loved that side of him)

Hylia gave him the Master Sword long before his final battle. He was the first mortal Fi ever knew. They worked well together, though their conversations were always rather snarky. (“There is a one hundred percent chance this will fail.” “Why thank you Fi, I appreciate the confidence you have in me.”) Despite their banter, they cared deeply for each other. Fi thinks of him as her very first friend.

When he and Hylia’s relationship got serious, First thought long and hard about how he might propose to her. The final plan included a ring he discovered in the depths of Death Mountain (he beat a mogma to it), their favorite little nook in Faron Woods, and a speech pledging his loyalty to Hylia for life. Orville teased him about the speech, saying that Hylia just wanted him, not his dramatics.

He was obsessed with loftwings as a child. Then, they were mainly mythological creatures, as the gods took an off-hand approach and no one ever saw them. But he always believed they were real. His side of he and Orville’s bedroom was covered in loftwing drawings. When Orville learned to carve, he would make little loftwing carvings for him as birthday presents. One was small enough that First could wear it on a cord. He wore it until the day he died.

Everyone pretty much accepts that his spirit animal is a lion. But First’s spirit longs for freedom as much as it fights for what is right. So when he touches Twilight’s shadow crystal he becomes a griffin.

i know its a joke but my autistic brain is going wild at that raccoon vs goose post. why would u ever take a raccoon in a fight over a goose. geese are mean sure but theyre FINE like theyre not really gonna do much damage. the most you’ll get from a goose attack is like a bruise and MAYBE a small cut if it claws you on a spot with no clothes covering skin. the most you’ll get from a raccoon attack is rabies and die

#remember: healthy raccoons never attack unless provoked. if you’re going into a wild raccoon den and you get attacked its kind of on you. #but if one comes out of nowhere and starts attacking you that is probably a rabid animal or at least has some other serious disease #because they do NOT do that normally #healthy geese will readily attack if you get too close to their nesting sites or their chicks bc they’re very protective parents #you can literally throw geese. the only thing they have to grab you with is their beak. yes they can fly at you but they have basically a #handle you can grab. their big fucking neck. once you grab their neck (easy) you can literally throw them away #and theyll back down bc it’s a display of power. but you should run away anyways #geese aren’t really gonna carry anything that will hurt you. bird flu doesn’t affect humans (although it does become an issue if you have #pets bc it can kill cats and dogs) but raccoons carry rabies which is 100% fatal #also raccoons are a lot harder to grab and get away from bc they’re faster than you think #raccoons can run up to 25 km/h. the high average of a human’s running speed is 13 km/h #dont risk it babe. as soon as you become symptomatic for rabies you’re dead #i am 100% putting way too much thought and energy into this. however i am autistic #rambles

There’s something so comforting about hugging the stuffed dog i got for my birthday when i was 8 years old

It’s stuffing has fallen flat in a lot of places. It smells like dust. It should probably be washed, but probably shouldnt be because when i was younger i tried to cut a ‘shine rectangle’ in his nose so his stuffing may actually come out in the washing machine.

I remember so many times he comforted me as a child. All the times i cried, hugging him and drying my tears with his floppy ears, pretending he was a real dog comforting me. The times i fell asleep hugging him. The times i played with him

I also remember his name, Timber. Oh, Kiwi, you may say. Is he named timber because timber wolf and hes a dog? No, actually. I had just learned that lumberjacks in the forest yell Timber when they fell a tree and thought it would be funny if he got confused.
