I get so angry when I think about how severely marvel fucked up the Inhumans by trying to make them something they're not because Krakoa would literally be so much more interesting if they were having political relations with Attilan. Those nations speak together, they share a dialogue. They are the exact same concept executed in very similar ways. The flaws of each are echoed in the other. And yet marvel has fucked it by pushing IvX a decade too early.

Finally finished these lovely miniatures, Attilan Rough Riders original.
OK not fully finished, I still have to put the transfers on the horses backs.
I'm quite happy with them, took my long enough to get started. Been in a to do box for many long years lol.

I'm re-reading the Ms Marvel comics (and reading the ones I skipped), and there's this really cute issue where Kamala imagines the story of how the inhuman line began in her family. She and Bruno are sitting on the roof and they spot New Attilan so Kamala presents her story of how it happened. This is a lot like Aisha and Hassan's story. Her inhuman ancestor with powers was from Attilan (or were they on Hala) and he fell in love with a normal human and remained on earth.
Bruno is 'Brunello' (with Josh) and he harbors some feelings for Lady 'Kamilah'
But of course she falls for the brown boy who is an inhuman and has powers (*cough* Kamran) and ultimately starts a family with him. She also talks about how it wasn't the experiments but something beautiful that gave her her gifts. This reminds me SO much of Hassan and Aisha. Just read this part:
Her inhuman ancestor also points to the stars and we see the Hala Star (Kree) in the distance when he explains where he comes from. (I know the inhumans have their own identity separate from the Kree but cool ref).
The star is still present in the MCU's Ms Marvel logo (more as a nod to Carol and her bond with K im guessing).

There are so so many things the MCU cheated us out of but the one I think about the most is how there was clearly SUPPOSED to be a connection between the Inhumans show and Agents of SHIELD
I remember watching s2 and thinking the place they were taking Skye was ATTILAN. And it wasn’t - there’s a place for the Inhuman diaspora on earth. But then?? In the Inhumans show, there’s all this palace decor with the map to the Kree temple??? And at the end of the season they’re ON earth! No more Attilan! And there’s NEVER A CONNECTION???
They spend all that time picking up potential Inhumans and keeping them off registries and… no one even knows about the literal enclave? I just -
I just want to know what would happen if Medusa and Jiaying met. Peak drama. Birthright versus experience. Both leaders of populations they thought were the only survivors. What would the Afterlife Inhumans think of Attilan? What would Attilan think of Afterlife? Would they work together post-Inhumans?
What would Raina think of Attilan (and would she have been able to seize power there more effectively…?)

Its 2022 and the best Marvel can give the Inhuman fans is mere crumbs in a reference or two, but you know what? I'll take the goddamn crumbs and savor them until we can get the proper content we desperately need

Started work on some Attilan rough riders today.
Not painted horses in a while, not sure if it's going well, but I don't want to over work them.
Fingers crossed after basing and painted the riders they should be tided in nicely.

i wrote a big long thing but kind of forgot where i was going with it so i'm just gonna write . i think one of the things with krakoa and the mutant metaphor as an extension is that krakoa genuinely like. is a eugenics state. i do not think i could actually live there without in some way being endangered. what i mean by that is that krakoa is not accessible in any of the images we have seen from it. what i mean by that is that krakoa doesn't visibly have an actual functioning hospital & healthcare system so much as it has a bunch of people that happen to either have healing powers or were doctors before krakoa act as the healthcare system, but very little seems to be organised. what i mean by that is that the emphasis on krakoa seems to be first and foremost on curing the disabled and not supporting them. and idk, the frustrating thing is that this isn't really expanded on like... at all by writers because disabled people are not in the writing room at all. it just isn't considered. maybe vaguely alluded too, but there seems to me be very little acknowledgement that krakoa is actively hostile to disabled people in a lot of ways.
