What sorts of things or aspects do you like to get to know about a character and their story? Like, if you were to make some sort of form or layout, what criteria or questions would you ask?

#character creation #book writing #author #writing #i swear i’m writing #trying to turn a roleplay world into a proper book series but the main story won't be able to show all the work that my friends and I have #put into these characters and their stories #so it's almost necessary that I need a side series with multiple volumes and each volume talking about a set of characters and their stories #I love the silly little world in my head #please help me #I really want to market to the audience and make sure people like what they read 😭#why am I like this #also this story is about gods and pirates #I've spent the last year+ doing research on actual 17th century piracy in the Caribbean and it has a lot of influence from that #not your usual pirate story I can assure you #I'm so excited for this #the series is called Vivere #it's about the first plane of existence the gods actually created to maintain life #so you wonder why pirates?#because pirates #trust me this is going to be so good #the roleplay may have practically died but we still talk about it all the time #vivere planning

rewatching and the way luffy has no concept of personal space within his friendships is so endearing to me. the way he'll lay his head on nami's and straddle zoro and squeeze-hug koby without a single thought that it might be too much too fast. he loves like a little kid, and he sees the world like one too - just a massive playground where anything can happen. it's easy to see why his crew are drawn to him, especially nihilists like nami and zoro who have seen the worst of people. he represents the hopeful little kids inside them 😭

Here it is! In which Ace picks up a different shipwrecked masked aspiring adventure-novelist on Sixis :)

Spade Pirates’ First Mate Sabo AU

Except Sabo and Ace both don’t realize it’s each other because Sabo still has amnesia and Ace can’t recognize Sabo after 7 years because of the mask

This came from the writing prompt someone gave me of Sabo and Deuce interaction and once I got thinking about them I was like. There’s too many parallels. And couldn’t stop thinking about it

In this AU Sabo doesn’t get saved by Dragon, washes up onshore on Goa before he dies, and survives to set sail again a week or so later, but still has amnesia. Realizing that sailing alone as a ten year old is pretty unfeasible though, he stops sailing after the first few islands and lives as a feral forest child on his own for the next seven years until he feels ready and strong enough to try again.

He chooses his own name, Tage (pronounced taj), based on the assumption that Sabo is his last name and his belongings are too ruined to read his given name :) credit to whery for the name pun idea it’s absolutely genius

I might do some short comics for this if I ever get around to it but for now it’s just a loose collection of ideas!

I really like that epithet lmao
