Whump Prompt #1326
TW: SELF HARM
Anon asked:
Hi! Could you do a scenario of a stoic whumpee x caretaker where the caretaker sees their SH scars and whumpee is shocked that anyone would care, and tears up when the caretaker touches the scars gently (w permission from the whumpee)
Sure thing:
“How long?”
It was a question that flawed the whumpee. How long? How long were the scars? (Ranging from an 1-3 inches) How long ago did they last do it? (Three months) How long have they been doing it for? (Since they were X years old) How long have they been hiding it for? (Only up until recently, when the scars were harder to hide. Oh, and every summer since they started) How long do they take to heal? (Two weeks or more, depending on depth.)
It was a loaded question that asked everything but nothing at all, but what completely threw the whumpee was the caretakers tentativeness. They were expecting to be met with anger and outrage, but instead they were met with comfort and concern. It was jarring, but welcome, especially when the caretaker pulled up the item of clothing to gauge severity as opposed to shaming them. The whumpee didn’t even realise how their hands shook until the caretaker clasped them in their hands, and looked them straight in the eye.
“When was the last time?”
“[X amount of time]”
“That’s good, that’s very good, I’m proud of you.”
Tears pricked at the whumpees eyes.
“Do you feel like you need to do it again?”
The whumpee shook their head.
“will you show me where you keep your blades?”
The whumpee hesitated, but nodded.
“Thank you. I trust you, okay? And I’m proud of you. I’ll help you wherever I can, alright? We’ll do this together.”

Finally did the second half of the TMA avatar emojis! I’ve put all the warning tags I think apply, but if I’ve forgotten any, let me know and I’ll add them
[ID: eight emojis which are variations on the same base emoji: someone from the waist up, playfully raising their arms and wiggling their fingers as if pretend scaring someone, and smiling. Each are based around one of the fear entities from The Magnus Archives, and depict avatars of those fears
The first is an avatar of the Flesh. Their muscle is exposed, and appear to be sewn together from different muscles, a little like Frankenstein’s monster.
The second is an avatar of the Hunt. The glowing red outlines of sharp teeth float above and below their head, like their head is in the maw of a large animal. They have glowing red eyes. A red wiggly spiral is positioned behind them.
The third is an avatar of the Lonely. They are in indigo toned grayscale, and surrounded by clouds, which cover their eyes.
The fourth is an avatar of the Slaughter. They have many various weapons and sharp objects embedded in their body, several slash marks, and blood on their fingers.
The fifth is an avatar of the Spiral. Behind and in front of their body is colorful, distorted versions of them, overlapping and intersecting with them.
The sixth is an avatar of the Stranger. This is the only one which doesn’t directly use the line art of the same base emoji, and instead is a crash dummy with ball sockets, stiffly positioned to mimic the others. They are painted yellow but have chipped paint in places.
The seventh is an avatar of the Vast. They are a giant figure standing in the ocean, their shoulders reach into the clouds, and stars hover above them.
The eighth is an avatar of the Web. Spider silk strings lead from their fingers, but also wrap around their torso and neck. /End ID]
