I realized today I have a bunch of old Catwoman pictures that I never got around to posting and this is one. I call it 🐱CATWOMAN CLEANING A PAW🐱 for obvious reasons. This was totally a thing for the Michelle Pfeiffer incarnation of the character and it's also a thing for my pet cat... part of his grooming ritual. It's a quick way to clean yourself I guess, but personally I prefer a long soak in a hot bubble bath🛁🫧. The gloves you see here have been replaced now, as I didn't really like them. They're baggy and I couldn't get the claws to stick to the material very well no matter what glue I used😒. Next time I cosplay Catwoman I'll be debuting some new ones which are way better. I'll be posting more photos from this shoot real soon, so watch this space and my Ko-fi page (⚡️ko-fi.com/christabelq⚡️) if you want to see them 👀.
GUESS WHO’S KINDA BACK (or not, well, it depends)-
Many things happened - I defended my diploma work, graduated from uni and now I’m applying my docs to get master’s degree! Hope I pass all the exams to unis I’ve visited to choose a better option for me
Unfortunately there’s not much time to draw all the stuff I wanted as I hoped, but I’ve succeeded to finish this one… 👀
That idea was a sudden one after I and my bestie Maya - @mardetonam - noticed that Zigzag canonically purrs… Then I came to conclusion that I just had to portray him as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, because I’m in love with her design showed in Tim Burton’s “Batman” and, well, I wanted to draw mr. grand vizier in latex as well… 👀
Here's another old Catwoman pic 🐱🐱 guest starring New York as Gotham City. I call it 🏙️CATWOMAN & HER CITY🏙️. I'd sooo like to have this view from my apartment. I 💜 NYC... it just ticks so many of my boxes... shops🛍️, shows🎭, a ballet company🩰, a museum packed full of Egyptian artefacts🔺, and so many photo opportunities I never know where to point my camera first📷. If you've never been, I'd totally recommend it, and who knows... maybe you'll catch a gimpse of Catwoman leaping across the rooftops, a smile on her face, her whip whirling around her. Have a great day, Christabel
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Just about finished my new look: a retro glamour Catwoman! While I do enjoy creating screen-accurate looks, more fun for me is the design element as there's more creative freedom, such as in deciding that what Selina Kyle needs more than anything is a boudoir look!
Making this was a ton of fun. It was a combination of some tried-and-true patterns and methods with some new materials and designs. I modified my Vala corset pattern for Selina's and used my old faithful glove pattern to create some wicked clawed (and rhinestoned) gloves. For the dressing gown, however, I used organza and feather boas to create a bell-sleeved, floaty, feathery, oh-no-officer-I-have-no-idea-what-happened-to-my-husband piece.
Oh, and if you're at FanExpo Canada this year, you might just see this Cat slinking around!
