How to pray for unbelievers
Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. (Romans 10:1)
Paul prays that God would convert Israel. He prays for her salvation! He does not pray for ineffectual influences, but for effectual influences. And that is how we should pray too.
We should take the new covenant promises of God and plead with God to bring them to pass in our children and our neighbors and on all the mission fields of the world.
God, take out of their flesh the heart of stone and give them a new heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 11:19)
Circumcise their heart so that they love you! (Deuteronomy 30:6)
Father, put your Spirit within them and cause them to walk in your statutes. (Ezekiel 36:27)
Grant them repentance and a knowledge of the truth that they may escape from the snare of the devil. (2 Timothy 2:25–26)
Open their hearts so that they believe the gospel! (Acts 16:14)
When we believe in the sovereignty of God — in the right and power of God to elect and then bring hardened sinners to faith and salvation — then we will be able to pray with no inconsistency, and with the confidence of great biblical promises for the conversion of the lost.
Thus, God has pleasure in this kind of praying because it ascribes to him the right and honor to be the free and sovereign God that he is in election and salvation.

PUTTING ON LOVE - PRAYING THE SCRIPTURES
I love You, God, because You first loved me. (1 John 4:19)
You sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus, to this earth out of Your love for me and for others. I have believed on Him and now, I will not perish - I have everlasting life. You did not send Jesus to condemn me, but to save me, and I thank You for that! (John 3:16,17)
God, if You loved me that much, I should give love to others. (1 John 4:11)
So, I will love others. It's a sign that I've been born of You, because You are love. But if I fail to love others, I fail to love You. Help me to always love! (1 John 4:7,8)
I put on love each day, as if it's a coat, because I know that You consider it the highest of all virtues - Your love binds every other good virtue together and makes them one. (Colossians 3:14)
Love is the most important sacrifice to another person that I can make. I will love God with all my heart, soul, mind and all my strength, Lord, and I will love my neghbor as myself. (Mark 12:33)
Help me to love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me. I do this in obedience to You, my Father in Heaven. (Matthew 5:44)

I can give everything I have to feed the poor, even if I give my own body as a sacrifice to You, but without love, none of these things do any good at all: Love matters most! (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)
Help me to see Your love for what it is - patient and kind, never envious, boastful, proud, rude, self-seeking, or easily angered. You love stops me from keeping a record of wrongs or delighting in what is evil. Your love helps me to rejoice in truth and always protect, trust, hope, and persevere! (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Our sure and God-given weapons is The Word of God. As we consistently and prayerfully spend time with God in His Word, we will grow in faith and discernment ~ and it will also wash us and make us new. God’s Word provides protection for our minds like a helmet., and it arms us with truth like a belt wrapped around us ~ causing us to confidently stand firm. This belt holds a quiver full of promises that are like arrows that powerfully extinguish every fiery dart that the enemy will throw at us, as we take our thoughts captive as we replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of The Word. The Word also provides a shield of faith - because faith comes from hearing The Word - which places a divine breastplate across our chest ~ protecting our heart from sin and keeping us in righteousness as we hide The Word in our hearts. The Word enables us to stand in the shoes of the gospel of peace - because perfect peace comes to those who keep their eyes fixed on Him (Who is The Word.)
Every single piece of our armor mentioned in Ephesians chapter 6 is fully and completely provided by our sword, “which is The Word of God.” This is simply because He IS The Word! His blood, and His Spirit, and His Word ~ together ~ have given us everything we need for life and godliness ~ and everything we need to fight our battles. “And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these for war. The term "trains" here refers to He's walking us through a training exercise to fight the enemy much like a military training exercise. However, this is a spiritual war which cannot be fought with worldly ammunition ~ but know the enemy will try to distract you in a war of flesh - but only the weapon of His Word will ever be able to setus free, pull down spiritual strongholds m, and fight the principalities and powers of darkness in high places.
Our Father's goal is to bring us to the point where we have learned how ultimately trustworthy He is; so that we finally begin to automatically depend and lean 100% on Him as our natural reflex, and instinctive, reactive response... to literally e v e r y t h I n g..

Line Upon Line Lesson 007: Get on the Boat!
Genesis 7:1 - Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”
Many people think God commanded Noah to build the ark solely to save the animals and his own family. However, this is actually not true.
Let’s read together Ezekiel 14:14-20; Habakkuk 2:4; and Hebrews 11:6-7.
Noah was considered righteous by God because Noah believed in God. Noah demonstrated His faith in God through his obedience to God’s commands. Noah built the ark even though there was no evidence or prior history of floods in the world.
Note that the Bible clearly states Noah could not save anyone else with his righteousness. This means Noah’s wife, his three sons, and their wives each had an individual faith in God. They also believed in God and were obedient to His words.
Let’s read together Psalm 142:7; Isaiah 42:6-7; 1 Peter 3:18-20; and 2 Peter 2:5.
The Bible described Noah as a preacher of righteousness. God used Noah to deliver a message of repentance. Noah wasn’t just building the ark for one hundred and twenty years. He was warning the entire world about God’s judgment and the impending flood.
Let’s read together Deuteronomy 30:19-20; Matthew 24:37-39; Luke 17:26-27; and Ephesians 4:17-32.
In essence, Noah’s message was, “Repent now and get on the boat! If you do not, you will be destroyed by the coming flood! This is the only way you can be saved!”
Unfortunately, no one listened to Noah. Their hearts were so set on sin, the Holy Spirit could not reach them. God wanted to save them all, but they chose not to be saved.
Let’s read together Acts 4:10-12.
God gives us all the same choice today that He gave the people of the Antediluvian age. Repent now and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. There is no other way to be saved. Will you choose Jesus?

Punnett Squares are terribly fun! Perhaps they will become more difficult when and if we start doing the di-hybrid crosses, but even those seemed simple enough when I watched it on KA.
In other news, I have summer intensive auditions this weekend. I nearly forgot about them until my friend texted me about it. I've never had to audition for an intensive before because I've only ever attended the kids intensives. But since I'm 14 now, I have to attend the regular intensives. If I don't get in, that's ok. I can only do the 1 week intensive because I'm taking a trip this summer and have camp, but it's also local dancers only, so there is a better chance I'll get in. I have never wanted to be a professional dancer, which is why I always did the kids intensives instead of auditioning for the regular pre-professional intensives, but I still enjoy dancing during the summer break and learning new things. Ballet is fun and exciting to me, and I enjoy the discipline and challenge of it, so I do hope I get in, but if not, I am not losing out on much either.

Semi-explanation below the cut
Feel free to ignore this one, if you care not for context, but let me see if I can explain this because I am not completely pleased with the order *but* it’s a lot like Gus’ in that it isn’t necessarily always fully lyrically applicable, but rather tells the expanse of a life lived.
The opening few songs are mostly free of lyrics - Deuteronomy was slow to talk when he was a kitten. He spent a good majority of his young kittenhood non-verbal and late to talk compared to his fellows, but he was still blossoming incredibly quickly developmentally, particularly in mental and telepathic capacity. He started understanding things that were odd for kittens to understand (and his second mother indicated that there was...a light behind his eyes that was difficult to place that signified a wisdom far beyond his years). The first few songs lack lyrics (or have very few) to illustrate this tentative step into a life that is celebrated (being the heir), and how he is valued but comes into himself slowly.
“I’ve Been This Way Before” is when Deuteronomy finally starts to speak - and when he begins, he skips right over his babble and the present. He speaks about pasts he knows - so many of them - in great detail, remembering places he’s never been and cats he’s never met. He goes from being non-verbal to talking *non-stop*, often cryptically and with little reason. At this point he speaks *beyond* his own past lives; he speaks about the lives of other cats as well. And it’s at that point where it’s realized that Deuteronomy’s life isn’t going to be an easy one - he won’t just be carrying on his own life; he’ll be carrying on the lives of hundreds - thousands - of others. Not only is he meant to lead the Tribe (and after the death or disappearance of his later siblings, the *only* one left to lead), he’s meant to keep their memories as well (an ill advised combo).
Though a relatively wise, empathetic-to-a-fault, and even tempered child, and willing to attended his training dutifully, like most young cats, Deuteronomy doesn’t take all too kindly to the promise of responsibility at first - as he entered his maturation years, he began to act out. Along with his foster brother, Gus, he settled into his “devil may care,” “sowing his wild oats” era, not quite wanting to dwell on how heavy his life was about to become, flitting from cat to cat (that’s where the “buried 99 wives” rumour comes from - there are plenty of notches in the old tom’s belt and plenty of other kittens, much as most cats lives are wont to be), experience to experience, theoretically place to place (he never leaves entirely), longing to drift off and explore the world before inevitably being tied down to his responsibilities (knowing still that he did need to return to them and never thinking he never wanted to - he always did want to). They have their fun (to a just about alarming level), but those whispers and visions he has just don’t...stop. He can ignore them all he likes, but they just get louder and clearer and begin to teach him things that he couldn’t quite grasp before; things you cannot really *be* taught. His venturing outside of the Junkyard shows him the extent of things he never experienced. So, though he longs for a continued adolescence free of the burden of his gifts and responsibility, he quickly realizes that he cannot have one. He has too many cats depending on him - there are too many wrongs in the world that he can’t run from. His father is old - Maladeen has passed on - he is the only one left. So, though it’s not entirely what he wants, he returns to his family fully, hangs up his belt, and takes up his mantle.
For the first little while, things look up for Deuteronomy. He reunites with a queen from his past, meets another, they fall in love, they build their life together in spite of knowing that, ultimately, it will never be an easy one (”Soave sia il vento” is a cry for the sea to be calm; much like a cry for life to be easy - though Mya, and Ginny - brain children of the always brilliant @theimpossiblescheme - know it might not be and Dee *knows* for certain it won’t be). Still, they are happy; they have their sons, Deuteronomy thinks on his mothers and passes their teachings on to them, and it seems perhaps he’s got a grasp on everything at last.
But, as always, nothing good lasts for too long. Deuteronomy starts disassociating far more frequently - some nights it’s hard for him to recognize himself; understand where he begins and ends. He struggles to keep from turning inwards - as his father had as he struggled with his own underdeveloped psychic abilities - and it’s just as difficult for other cats to recognize him in tandem. It’s all just...too much. Too, too much. He feels like an exposed nerve all the time; everything hurts. Everyone’s feelings burn in his throat; all of their pain becomes his, and he just shoulders more and more with seemingly no end and it’s overwhelming.His cup runs over. He loves them too much - he cares *too much*. The only way he can quiet it down it to distance himself - try to be that unshakeable calm that his training demanded of him. It works. Kinda. The rest of the Junkyard notes this change.
Things beyond his control start happening - defects and illnesses and power struggles and threats; and others within his control start slipping through as a result. He tries to hold onto everything but he’s only one cat. He loses his eldest son to the lure of powers beyond his understanding, Mya to her sympathetic heart, then Ginny to the Heaviside- almost in succession. At this point, Deuteronomy is at a loss; the pain of others mixes with his own - it doesn’t stop. It gets so bad, that it begins to run over through the cracks in his consciousness he is barely able to patch; being around Deuteronomy can just as easily be uncomfortable and emotionally painful as not. It’s a hard time for everyone.
But one evening, at the pique of what seems like a never ending well of suffering, he sees something (whether it be a vision from the Everlasting Cat or her servants, he’s never been certain). He tells no one of what he sees (he takes that to his grave), but whatever it was, like a switch, it gives Deuteronomy this sudden, quiet feeling of...calm. It all falls into place; he is no longer struggling against his gift, he is working with it; he *understands* it, at long last. And with this new found sense of purpose, in spite of his loss, in spite of his grief, he continues on.
Deuteronomy ages, becomes wiser, shares his wisdom with his family. Cats leave - cats come back - he gains a whole gaggle of in laws and grandkittens and grand nieces and nephews. He teaches his family the importance of unconditional love; the act of forgiveness, both on oneself and towards others. Mya eventually returns to him; life has finally settled. But eventually things must come to an end; the great immortal - who was thought perhaps never to die - is a mere mortal after all. Deuteronomy’s final Ball is an entirely bittersweet affair and filled with lessons overlapping one another, the old cat hoping he’s passed everything he needed to onto his family. “The Prayer” is illustrative of a final duet with his dear Sillabub, who will take the mantle after him and has the honour of sending him up, passing on the final message he imparts his cats with.
And he is sent off in the same way he was brought into the world - with a dramatic choir swell and then silence.

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living

Thought for the Day
To introduce four things that are never satisfied, Agur described the leech; as a blood-sucking worm. It feeds through two suckers, one at each end of its body, thus the depiction of “two daughters” clamoring for blood. Horse leeches live in well water and spring water. As animals and humans drink, tiny leeches enter their mouths and attach themselves inside the throat or similar places. Feeding on their host's blood, they grow rapidly and can cause bleeding, obstruction, and even death. The leech presents a vivid picture of human parasites. They enrich themselves by draining others and giving nothing but trouble in return. Like the leech, the following four things are never satisfied:
The Grave or Sheol: It takes countless souls every day but is never full. "Therefore, hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth shall descend into it" (Isaiah 5:14).
The Barren Womb: The effects of sin upon humanity rob some women of the ability to conceive. It is heartbreaking for a woman yearning to have a child to be unable to conceive. She is never satisfied and tries every method possible to become pregnant. God's promise and power can break the curse of a barren womb (Deuteronomy 7:13). Whoever follows Christ has God's blessing, including the ability to conceive. My husband and I have seen many women able to become pregnant after being prayed for.
The Earth: It is never satisfied with water. No matter how much rain falls, the earth will become dry and need more. Drought is a curse. Israel was warned that if they turned from the living God to idols, the earth would suffer for it. (Deuteronomy 11:13-17).
Fire: Its very life depends upon consuming everything that it touches. It is devastating to view the aftermath of a fire. At the time of this writing, Arizona has endured its worst drought in over a hundred years, and many fires have ravaged the land. When driving by these areas it is sad to see mile after mile of charred timber that had once been a green forest. It is far sadder, however, to see people's lives ravaged and destroyed by sin. Like fire, sin is never satisfied, but consumes more and more of a person's soul and life.
God has promised to provide for all our needs. He entreats us to trust in Him. "Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present circumstances and with what you have; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5, AMP).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, praises be to Your Name for delivering us from the curses of the enemy! I thank You for Your many blessings and am grateful that You have redeemed us from the curse. Lord, set us free from all dissatisfaction and discontent. Lord, today, may we find our peace and contentment in You. Father, we are grateful for Your protection against the curses of the devil. Thank You for protecting our property from fire and sending us rain in due season. We are grateful for the refreshing rains You send, and we know the animals, trees, grasses, and the earth are happy, too. We thank You for Your many blessings and pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Would you mind expanding on why jehovah's witnesses are heretics?
Other tell tales include: changing doctrine when "prophecy" doesn't come through.
Matthew 7:15–18 (ESV): 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
• A true prophet’s words will be fulfilled (Deuteronomy 18:21–22; Jeremiah 28:8–9).
• A true prophet’s teachings are consistent with Scripture (2 Peter 1:20–21; Revelation 22:18–19).
• A true prophet’s teachings will encourage righteous behavior and provide spiritual benefit (Deuteronomy 13:1–4; Jeremiah 23:13–14, 32; Ezekiel 13:17–23; 14:4–8; Lamentations 2:14).
• A true prophet’s life will reflect a divine call (Isaiah 28:7; Jeremiah 23:10–11, 14; 29:9; Zephaniah 3:4; Matthew 7:15–20).

Their doctrine changes with false prophecies, and not the like "oh, we weren't applying this passage because we didn't like it" change. I mean the watchtower is edited every few years and changes in BIG ways. If you're a witness, get the newest watchtower, and go find the oldest copy you can and read them side by side.
Now, there's also some specific things I can get into:
Jehovah's witnesses believe Jesus is a created being, not part of a divine Trinity and equal to God. This is contrary to Titus 2:13, John 1:1-3,14-18, John 8:58 (in conjunction with Exodus 3:14, in John, Jesus refers to him self with God's name, I AM.) John 5:18, John 10:30-33, John 20:28-29, Isaiah 9:6, and Hebrews 1:8. And those are just the passages that *DIRECTLY* call Jesus God, or equate Jesus with God. There's more that infer it, Hebrews 1:6 in conjunction with revelations 22:9, (We are only permitted to worship God, yet Jesus never corrects anyone who worships him. Thereby if he is from God and does not correct people who worship him such as the angel in Revelations, he is either God, or a liar and false prophet.) (This also applies to several other heresies. I'm sorry, Jesus literally states "I am God" in John 10:30. It's plain text as clear as day.)
Jehovah's witnesses do not believe Jesus physically rose from the dead, however, in the Bible it references his physical resurrection a lot.
Luke 24:36-39, John 20:27, in John 2:19 Jesus refers to his body is a temple and says when it's destroyed he will raise it up in 3 days.

What happens when a child dies?
2 Samuel 12:21-23
His servants asked him, “What did you just do? While the baby was alive, you fasted and wept, but when he died, you got up and ate food.”
He answered, “While the baby was alive, I fasted and wept because I thought, ‘Who knows? The Lord may be gracious to me and let him live.’ But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I’ll go to him, but he will never return to me.”
King David’s words showed his certainty that once he died, he would go to his child. And it’s also a somber reminder that once someone dies, there’s no reason to keep on mourning for them for a long period of time; life marches on.
Within Christianity, we have those who believe in the doctrine known as the age of accountability. Within that doctrine, any person up until a certain age (mostly believed to be around the age of 13) gets a free pass from God for any sin committed and they will go to heaven if they die while young.
There are a few passages in Scripture that are used to back up such a doctrine by those who believe it. For instance, we also have Exodus 30:11-12 that tells us how God told Moses that “each [man] shall give a ransom for himself to the Lord,” followed by verse 14 which says, “from twenty years old and over” as the age one became responsible for his own self (Cf. Numbers 1:2-3).
However, it must be noted that the doctrine of the age of accountability goes in direct contradiction with another doctrine, which is known as the doctrine of original sin. Original sin tells us we are all guilty of sin the very moment we come to exist at conception (Psalm 51:5).
Genesis 8:21 tells us: “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth.” As noted by D.B. Harrison: “the Hebrew noun ‘youth’ literally translates to mean from our earliest childhood. Sin is so pervasive, it is so universal, that even the cutest, the most adorable infant that is born into the world, enters this world with a heart that is an abyss of sin and evil and is in desperate need of regeneration by the power and Spirit of God.”
Will those who die young, no matter what sin might’ve been committed, go to heaven by default? Let’s look at what Scripture says.
The New Testament says “whoever believes will in [Jesus] have eternal life” (John 3:15). Unlike Old Testament times, we now have a definitive atonement that has been purchased not by money, nor by the blood of animals (Hebrews 10:4), but by the blood of Christ (Romans 5:9). You cannot hope to be saved if you don’t have salvific faith in Christ. The times of ignorance are gone (Acts 17:30). All of us are now called to “repent and believe” (Mark 1:15).
I like what Charles Spurgeon wrote in regards to a child’s salvation: “I do hold that there is no doctrine of the Word of God which a child, if he be capable of salvation, is not capable of receiving... As soon as a child is capable of being lost, it is capable of being saved. As soon as a child can sin, that child can, if God's grace assist it, believe and receive the Word of God. As soon as children can learn evil, be assured that they are competent, under the teaching of the Holy Spirit, to learn good.”
Having said all this, what does it mean for a child’s soul? Even though the default mode for our heart is to be “deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9) from the moment we come into this world (Psalm 51:5), Scripture indicates that those who “have no knowledge of good or evil” (Deuteronomy 1:39) would be spared from His wrath; that’s why King David had the assurance he would go to his infant boy upon his death.
I’ll finish this with the words of Costi Hinn: “While we cannot dogmatically say what age a child must be to be held eternally responsible for their rebellion and rejection of general revelation, we can most certainly come to well thought out conclusions about this subject matter. Based on the evidence from Scripture about God, His judgments, His view of children, and His heart towards those who cannot discern their left hand from their right hand (Jonah 4:11), I believe that children who die, along with special needs persons who do not have the current capacity to understand, were chosen before the foundation of the earth.”
