So, what stories on A03 have you reread more than once? Maybe many times (boy that bookmark system is handy).

My ones include:

The Dreamfield series by Treescape: such a creative and erotic way to put an older, damaged Obi-Wan and an older but less damaged Anakin, together. Always worth a reread.

Where Every Mask Cracks by Skyl_tales: I just love this story. Its the fun trope of the OWK series characters, of what might happen if Obi-Wan gets captured (or in his case, surrenders). The author makes it fun and thoughtful and very sexy.

In the Deep and Perfect Dark by qqueenofhades: Another on this same theme, though different in the evolution of their relationship, the resolution of all their tangled emotions and pain and the evolving characters who become more than they were, makes this story very special for me.

Magnets by secretsolarsystem: I love the concept of Sith Obi-Wan (as much as I generally find the idea illogical). However the author of this convinced me. Having it told from Anakin's viewpoint, of his fascination with this gorgeous, deadly man, is just reading pleasure wrapped in one part.

15. What’s your favorite AU that you’ve written?:

Tough one, as I've written a lot of AUs. Probably Downtown Eastside for Mass Effect/Mshenko (ofc), and for Star Wars/obikin it would have to be a toss-up between Moonlight Serenade, and an as of yet unpublished fic set in the 1980's that featured divorced alcoholic Obi-Wan seducing the young neighbour boy, thinking it'll be a fun little romp, but realizing quickly he has ~feelings for the boy.

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?:

I'm gonna keep praising this beauty of a oneshot until I am blue in the face, but decaying orbits by silianrail makes me insane.

Also, Till Human Voices Wake Us by @ragnarlothcat (Mermaid AU), Needing/Getting by chapstickaddict (Canon Divergance), and @treescape's 'Dreamfield' canon divergence series

My top 5 DJs of 2023 EDM festival season

A month ago, I got tagged by @brandinotbroke to write down songs I actually listen to. But since I'm more into DJ sets than separate songs at this moment, I will share with you which DJs I liked the most during the festivals I went to!

Oliver Heldens: he introduced melody and groove in the mainstream EDM scene with his "Future House" sound in the mid 2010s, but currently he's more into Techno and Trance territories, which I like! I've seen him four times within one year lol. I stan him, also because he's giving Sims 4 vibes xD

2. Tiësto: I missed out his Trance era live because I was just a pre-teen when Trance music was still mainstream. Nowadays, he plays mainstream house (aka the European definition of "EDM"), but during the last 20 mins he went back to his roots! This Tomorrowland set is similar to what I've heard from him at Dance Valley

3. Liu: a Brazilian DJ with who has over 1 million followers on Instagram, but not so well-known in my country. But he smashed it on Dance Valley in my opionion because I like the subgenres Bass House and Brazilian Bass. Here's a set he played at the Dutch EDM radio station

4. Topic: I've seen this German DJ three times this year. I like the uplifting melodic sound of his set and he played very smoothly. I haven't been to Parookaville, but this is the most recent set I could find on YouTube.

5. Nicky Romero: it's somewhat a tie which DJ gets my 5th place, but I think I go for Nicky Romero. When I saw him on Dreamfields (a local Dutch festival), I enjoyed his Bigroom Techno moments and of course the closing part because one of his songs reminds me of my first date with my boyfriend ☺.

Kalashtar in Esynghal

In Esynghal (my D&D homebrew world), Kalashtar are considered a lineage, rather than an ancestry (or race, but I use ancestry in my worldbuilding). Lineages are those that are not determined by their parentage, but rather some extraordinary outside force, whether before or after birth.

Kalashtar are those bound to the spirits that populate the Dreamlands, (the plane minds go to when dreaming), known as sjaal. When they are created, sjaal are split into two equal halves - the good aligned unelma and the evil aligned mareritt. These two diametrically opposing spirits are always vying for control of the Dreamlands. Generally speaking, mareritt are fully focused on trying to gain control of the Dreamlands, but unelma are more prone to having interest in the material plane. 

Unelma are often cautious with adult mortals and stay in their dreams, but they are fond of children. They visit children with active imaginations, or those who are experiencing trauma to attempt to comfort them. When these children form a strong friendship with an unelma that visits them, the spirit sometimes forms a permanent supernatural bond with the child, transforming them into a kalashtar. In very rare cases, a bond like this will form between a mortal child and a mareritt, transforming them into a fallen kalashtar. 

Unelma are lovers of the dramatic, often appearing in theatrical or jester-like outfits and makeup, and often have exaggerated features. They like soft dreamy colors like white, lavender, dusty purple, periwinkle, pink, and light grey. They tend to be silly, dramatic, whimsical, dreamy, and/or childlike in personality. 

Kalashtar that form a positive lasting bond with their unelma often consider them a close friend. But because unelma only show themselves to adult mortals they truly trust, most people view them like an imaginary friend. Some kalashtar have a strained relationship with their unelma, considering themselves too grown up for their childhood friend but unable to get rid of them.

Kalashtar often have marks that mimic faded scars on their body. When they lean into their psionic abilities, these marks can become more pronounced, spread, and even glow when their psionic powers are utilized. Kalashtar recognize that due to their connection to the spirits of dreams, they can be prone to being overcome by evil, as the spirits that create nightmares are always vying for domination in the Dreamlands. Because of this, most kalashtar are diligent in their mental training to remain in the realm of good intentions. 

In Esynghal, the Dreamfields are a region in the continent of Lleuadia where the veil between the material plane and the Dreamlands is especially thin, which has allowed unelma to more easily pass through, and more kalashtar have been created in the Dreamfields than anywhere else in the world.
