Just saw a cute Reddit post and I was like this is perfect: Zoro being hooked up to a heart monitor by Chopper after a huge fight where he got badly injured (Thriller Bark or Wano?) and at first Chopper thinks that Zoro gets excited whenever it’s time for food because his heart rate picks up during those times but actually no it speeds up every Zoro sees Sanji.

Sanji starts noticing and is like- is this? What I think is happening? Nah. Must be the food. He mentions it, laughing about how Zoro’s like a famished puppy at dinner but the rest of the crew just stares at him blankly

“Sanji… I’ve also brought Zoro food but his heart monitor didn’t accelerate at all.”

He can’t stop thinking about it and decides to test it out, coming with no food and an excuse to talk to Chopper, then by brushing his arm “accidentally” and so on- and without fail Zoro’s heart just beats faster every time

yuuta exhibits such previously abandoned, recently adopted dog behavior. incredibly anxious all the time, even though nobody’s out to get him or leave him behind. waits for you to return home or from school or from work excitedly, just to see you when you walk through the door. follows you around senselessly, hovering in your space just for the sake of companionship. initiates affection in prodding ways—starts off next to you, then a hand on your thigh, then deems it safe to lay all the way down, then slowly pushes his head into your lap. gets up whenever you need to get up, and resumes his position as soon as you’re ready. brings you gifts as a sign that he’s thinking of you, and maybe because he likes the affection it brings out in you, maybe because he likes the gentle affirming touches of a hand in his hair or a pinch to his cheek. rests his head on your stomach or his chin on your shoulder when he’s sleepy, stays there, immobile, and will not move unless absolutely necessary. sometimes he gets surprised when he hears you calling for him, there’s a moment of disbelief as he thinks “me? really? you need me?” but it’s very quickly overshadowed by this compulsive need to show up, to please, to do anything for you, which is why he always answers when you call. he doesn’t realize that he has puppygod eyes, especially when he’s excited or confused, but he does and it’s incredible endearing. very reluctant to share your space or attention after a while, considers that to be sacred and he won’t risk being let go or lost again, so as a safety precaution, he keeps himself right by you, waits for you always.

random hc but. crowley being a plague doctor in the 16th/17th century bc he's supposedly "tempting people into death" but he can never, ever bring himself to actually do that so he ends up soothing their pain as best as he can and comforting them in their last moments. one night, after he held a little girl's hand as she passed away, he sits down at the banks of the river thames, with his plague mask discarded on the dirt, and he starts out over the water with tears in his eyes, wondering what the fuck is actually the point? it's not the first time he's asked himself the question nor the first plague he witnessed but, here, now after personally witnessing hundreds of deaths every day, he really wonders what actually is the point of him? why does he exist and why should he keep existing. why does he get to live when so many others don't? how is that fair? how is any of it fair? that's how aziraphale finds him, as he just got back from an assignment somewhere or other and hears crowley is in town, so he discreetly looks for him and finds him there, sitting in the dirt, now with his head in his hands, his shoulders silently shaking and is obviously immediately worried but doesn't know how to comfort him or what's allowed so he just sits beside crowley and watches him try to pull himself together. aziraphale's heart breaks, he put what happened together from the mask and the robes and he obviously knows about the bubonic plague but was convinced it was hell's doing and couldn't have even imagined crowley was out there everyday, helping people under the guise of hurting them. is he surprised? no, of course not but it still hurts to see crowley like this. but he's afraid to cross their unspoken rules so he quietly waits crowley out. he watches the water and doesn't dare look at crowley as he lifts his head and takes a few shaky breaths in. after a few minutes of breathing, crowley croaks out "her name was mary" and nothing else, and aziraphale understands, god he understands. it's one of the things they never speak about after it happens but aziraphale can't forget the night he sat with crowley for hours, till the sun came up, as he cried about a death of one little girl. he holds it close to his chest and never, ever forgets.

#neither does crowley. he should've been cast out the second he put that mask on cause he'd never be able to do what they wanted him to but #aziraphale would never ever say a word about this and crowley didn't even have to ask him. crowley remembers how just for a few moments #aziraphale let himself brush crowley's hair out of his eyes tenderly and yearns for smth he will never have #ugh the longing the yearning. I think a solid marker of identifying a truly complex, compelling, and unique character is seeing the frequency and scale of how OOC they are written in fanfic

#Example 1: Luffy #Example 2: Feanor #Example 3: Venti #(which is was inspired this post) #I’m guilty of it- why do you think I avoid writing Feanor and luffy like the plague? #fanfiction en masse just cannot abide truly unique character and that’s fine #as a genre rather and again- that’s fine this is doll playing most of the time BUT #like… if a character has more than two layers of stuff going on it is almost entirely lost en masse #if they can’t fit a ‘fanfic comedia d’artte’ role because the original author truly wrote someone unique? it’s already fucking over #and this is not to say that less unique complex or layered characters aren’t compelling #they are very obviously #but when an author truly creates a character who is just THEMSELVES and fits no role… #what to say but I want to do that one day #it is rare and very hard to replicate #also Venti is not nearly as much that as Luffy and Feanor askfkfks #those two are… literary marvels tbh #venti is on the same level as say Gintoki #still means they’re massively ooc in most fics lol #Tribble post

What's your favourite season of True Blood?

I think season 2 is objectively the best followed by season 1 but I like 3 a lot for sookie and eric and LORENAAAA my insane girl... seasons 5 and 6 have EXCELLENT outside world plots but the bon temps storylines are absolute garbage.
