प्रयागराज -- एक टैंकर क्लीनर का कार्य करने वाले कृष्ण कुमार पाल उर्फ उमेश पाल, अपने राजनीतिक जुनून और पैसे कमाने की चाहत से मौजूदा समय में करोड़ों के मालिक थे। उमेश के पास सफारी, क्रेटा, इनोवा जैसी कई लग्जरी गाड़ियां होने के साथ  करोड़ो की सम्पत्ति के मालिक थे। दौलत आने के बाद उमेश पाल का कदम की राजनैतिक की ओर बढ़ने लगा था। वह भी विधायकी चुनाव लड़ने की तैयारी में थे | चुनाव को लेकर उनकी चचेरी बहन विधायक पूजा पाल (राजू पाल की पत्नी) से उनकी नाराजगी भी थी। बता दें कि धूमनगंज थाना क्षेत्र के जयंतीपुर में रहने वाले उमेश पाल तीन भाइयों में दूसरे नंबर के थे। बड़े भाई पप्पू पाल छोटे भाई रमेश पाल हैं। परिवार में उनकी बूढ़ी मां पत्नी और दो बेटे एवं दो बेटियां हैं। चायल विधायक पूजा पाल के चचेरे भाई उमेश पाल को बसपा विधायक राजू पाल की हत्या से पहले तक शायद मोहल्ले वाले भी ठीक से नहीं पहचानते थे। तंगहाली और गरीबी में अपने परिवार को चलाने वाले उमेश पाल बचपन में प्रीतम नगर में रहने वाले टैंकर चालक सरदार के साथ क्लीनर का काम करते थे। आईएमएस में स्कूल ऑफ इंग्लिश लैंग्वेज की शुरुआत उमेश की कई लोगों से चल रही थी अंदरूनी खुन्नस राजू पाल हत्याकांड का मुख्य गवाह बनने और अपहरण में अतीक अहमद एंड गैंग पर नामजद एफआईआर दर्ज कराकर चर्चा में आए उमेश पाल ने उसी समय से अपना रसूख बढ़ाना शुरू कर दिया। वह जमीन के कारोबार में उतर गए |पहले पार्टनरशिप में प्लाटिंग शुरू की, फिर धीरे-धीरे अकेले प्रॉपर्टी का कारोबार करने लगे। कुछ लोगों का कहना है कि प्रॉपर्टी का कारोबार इस समय उमेश पाल का धूमनगंज क्षेत्र में बड़े पैमाने पर चल रहा था। इसकी वजह से उनका कई लोगों से तनातनी चल रही थी। सत्ता पक्ष से जुड़े होने की वजह से सीधे उनसे कोई टकरा नहीं रहा था। लेकिन कहीं ना कहीं जमीन का विवाद भी सुलग रहा था। उनके जानने वालों का कहना है कि उमेश पाल ने अपहरण के मामले को खूब भुनाया। उसी के बूते उन्होंने जमीन के कारोबार का बड़ा साम्राज्य स्थापित कर लिया था |जो कहीं ना कहीं व्यवसाय दुश्मनी में भी तब्दील हो रहा था। विधायक पूजा पाल और उमेश के रिश्ते में आ चुकी थी दरार पैसा आने के बाद उनकी राजनैतिक महत्वाकांक्षा भी बढ़ने लगी। जिसकी वजह से उनकी चचेरी बहन और चायल से सपा विधायक पूजा पाल के बीच रिश्ते में दूरी भी आ गई।नवाबगंज से जिला पंचायत सदस्य का चुनाव जीतने के बाद उन्होंने राजनीतिक जीवन की शुरुआत की। बसपा विधायक रहे राजू पाल की 2005 में हत्या की गई थी इलाहाबाद पश्चिमी के बसपा विधायक रहे राजू पाल की 25 जनवरी 2005 को सुलेमसराय में गोली मार कर हत्या कर दी गई थी। उनकी पत्नी पूजा पाल कौशांबी की चायल सीट से सपा की विधायक हैं। राजू पाल हत्याकांड में पूर्व सांसद अतीक अहमद व उनके छोटे भाई पूर्व विधायक खालिद अजीम उर्फ अशरफ समेत अन्य लोगों के खिलाफ रिपोर्ट दर्ज की गई थी। उमेश पाल घटना का मुख्य गवाह था। वह राजू पाल की पत्नी पूजा पाल की सगी बुआ का लड़का था। राजू पाल हत्याकांड की जांच CBI ने की थी। इसमें उमेश पाल मुख्य गवाह थे। यही कारण है कि उन्हें कई बार जान से मारने की धमकी मिली थी। राजू पाल की पत्नी विधायक पूजा पाल ने भी कई बार आशंका जताई थी कि गवाही को प्रभावित करने के लिए उमेश पाल की हत्या हो सकती है। उमेश पाल ने भी अपनी जान को खतरा बताया था। हत्याकांड का गवाह बनने के बाद  2006 में हुआ उनका अपहरण शुरू से ही उमेश पाल की आगे पढ़ने की बहुत तमन्ना थी। पैसे कमाने की उनके अंदर जुनून सवार थी। उमेश पाल के जीवन में बदलाव विधायक और उनके चचेरे बहनोई राजू पाल हत्याकांड के बाद आया। हत्याकांड के मुख्य गवाह बने उमेश पाल का साल 2006 में धूमनगंज के झलवा इलाके से अपहरण कर लिया गया था। उमेश पाल ने पूर्व सांसद बाहुबली अतीक अहमद, उसके भाई पूर्व विधायक मोहम्मद अशरफ और अन्य पर अपहरण कर चकिया स्थित अपनी कोठी पर ले जाकर पीटने और गवाही न देने का दबाव बनाने का आरोप लगाया था। 24 फरवरी 2023 को इसी प्रकरण की गवाही के लिए उमेश पाल एमपी एमएलए कोर्ट गए थे। वहां से वापस घर पहुंचे थे, तभी उन्हें गोली मार दी गई। इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट में वकालत करने वाले उमेश पाल का बचपन भले ही मुफलिसी में बीता हो, लेकिन इस समय वह क्षेत्र के चर्चित शख्सियत में गिने जाते थे। वह फाफामऊ विधानसभा से खुद चुनाव लड़ना चाहते थे। चुनाव लड़ने के लिए उन्होंने सपा ज्वॉइन की थी। साल 2022 में सपा छोड़ थामा था बीजेपी का दामन साल 2017 से 2021 तक खूब प्रचार भी किया था, लेकिन 2022 में विधानसभा चुनाव से ठीक पहले डिप्टी सीएम केशव प्रसाद मौर्य का सिराथू में सभा हुआ। इसमें उमेश पाल बीजेपी में शामिल हो गए थे। उनके जानने वालों का कहना है कि चचेरी बहन सपा में और ये बीजेपी में थे। इस वजह से भाई-बहन में रार आ गई थी। पूजा पाल जहां निवर्तमान विधायक हैं। वहीं, उमेश पाल भविष्य में विधायक की लड़ने की तैयारी कर रहे थे। कुछ लोगों का तो यहां तक कहना है कि वह राजू पाल हत्याकांड में गवाही देने से भी कतराने लगे थे। सिर्फ अपहरण के मामले में अतीक और अशरफ के खिलाफ मुकदमा लड़ रहे थे। Read the full article

This design is suited for a futuristic story, however, making such a thing can be challenging. Everyone would imagine neons and light colors in dark materials. My vision is a little different. I like to think of more sophisticated designs where the society wants a more ecological way but also is not prepared to give up their luxurious life. And also, backpacks must be practical. you don’t sound weird at all, and don’t apologise; english speakers certainly never do when they speak anything else.

i honestly don’t have all that thought out! i just like layering elements to make stories feel more lived-in. i think in contrast to TLAAO the getting together in the IGFTD ‘verse would have started when they were a fair deal younger, but as a result they’d have been less emotionally mature (yes, shudder in fear, they’re not actually that immature in TLAAO, just uncommunicative) and so there would have been a lot more of the push and pull that comes around in the break up part of TLAAO’s final chapters. bakugou, who i tend to make the party more aware (and resentful) of his own feelings, would be pulling back as hard as possible from shouto’s own confused and subconscious distance, and i think there would be similar implosions of basically prompting ugly fights to self-fulfil a prophecy rather than have it come about organically when feelings are more serious. but the immaturity would also have meant more rebounds. messy!

What fic tropes do you MOST enjoy?

I'm not sure the name of tropes so i'm just going to explain them my way.

Back/Futurestory - I like being able to see fics that delve into the past and future of the story. Seeing what characters were doing before the events of the series, and after the events. I have done plenty of this myself in RP, such as when @temporalcrow and I were in Starcraft, we had a whole RP that takes place 10-15 years after the events of Legacy of the Void. It allows you to come up with new stories and ways to prolong a series in a way that caters to your preferences. But its still very important to stay true to lore, I'm not going to butcher characters or established lore simply to make a certain story arc work. Temporalcrow was very good at coming up with plot points on the fly that we could work with and make fit. I would say the most OOC thing that was done in our Starcraft RPs was making Artanis join the Tal'darim in an AU, but we still made it make the most sense for the situation he found himself in. Temporalcrow is my go-to guy for ensuring logic isn't broken. They are a smart cookie.

Downtime - Downtime means events that take place in between events of the series. For Madcom that could mean in between episodes or levels where an unknown span of time took place, be it hours or days. I have a particular fondness for downtime as it allows you to see a character outside of action. What does Hank do when he is not out there killing hundreds of Agents? How well does he get along with the Doc and the others when they are resting? You don't get these answers in the series so it gives you a chance to ponder it yourself and come up with ideas. You know I love 2BHank and Sanmos so you know downtime has been thought about a lot lol

AU - I am quite picky with AUs, so I am not sure I can say I love them per se? I am very very fond of the AUs that I do like, but I don't follow just any AU. When it comes to them, I like ones that stay true to a character. It doesn't warp their personality unless certain personality traits are dependent on a verse specific event, and even then, in my own AUs, I try to add in an event that would be the equivalent. I have my two personal Madcom AUs that I have made and developed along side TemporalCrow (without them the story would be non-existent) That being the Mer AU and the Left 4 Dead AU. It's been a lot of trial and error to have them make sense. The Mer AU is the most public, I haven't really talked about the Left 4 Dead AU much outside of a few mentions in my discord server.

Beyond this, there are a few story-beats I do like, but don't often see them done well in fics:

Enemies to Friends to Lovers (or just friends, doesn't have to be a ship)

Turning to the enemy for help when you have no one else to go to

Perceived betrayal, such as thinking someone betrayed you when they actually didn't (miscommunication drives so many plots lol) Or the person is betrayed for a reason that is actually to protect them but such thing won't be known until later in the story when the person has a stronger grasp on the situation they find themselves in

I'm also a sucker for angst, just any angst really, as long as it makes sense and is eventually resolved.

The "Scales of Judgement" in Moon Knight: A smorgasbord of questions, concerns, theories and frustrations

(This is less than an essay but more than a shitpost, so I decided to post it here instead of on my crack blog...)

It appears that Ammit goes by a very different idea of what "balanced" and "unbalanced" mean compared to Taweret and the powers that be governing the afterlife. Ammit's concept of "unbalanced" seems to be someone who inflicted harm in any way, for any reason, under any circumstances. If that were really the case, I find it hard to believe ANYONE would ever pass the test and survive judgement, so she must make exceptions somewhere. The only exception she canonically makes is obviously Harrow, because despite being unbalanced she sees that he can be useful to her. So it would follow that Ammit overlooks unbalanced souls who she sees will be helpful* to her in the future, thus ensuring all of humanity isn't wiped out because, well, nobody's perfect. Khonshu's line to Ammit about Harrow, "Loyalty at what cost? An empty world for your disciples to inherit?" lends credence to this theory.

However, the fact that Harrow's scales are unbalanced because of his future service to Ammit implies that Ammit may not be fully in control of the scales after all. It seems that if she had it her way, a "balanced" soul would be someone loyal to her, even if they did evil things in her name, and "unbalanced" would mean someone disloyal to Ammit. For example, Alexander the Great's scales supposedly balanced perfectly, but in the end he "betrayed" Ammit, which lowered him in her estimation.

It's also possible that the criteria of the scales varies according to the ethical and behavioral norms of the person's culture. I don't think this is likely, but I thought it was worth mentioning as a theory.

*"Helpful" =/= loyal or devoted, because if that were the case none of the Ammit followers at Harrow's rallies would have been killed. For instance, that old woman in Episode 1 had "been good her entire life" and was clearly a devout worshipper of Ammit, but she was still judged as unbalanced. Unfortunately, this may have been because she was getting older and frankly wouldn't have many decades left to serve Ammit when she was awake, or the physical ability to do so.

In trying to decode Ammit's definition of "sin," we're at a disadvantage in that we don't know the backstories (or "futurestories," I guess) of most of the people she judged "unbalanced." Exactly what kinds of sins did they commit (or were destined to commit in the future)? It doesn't help that whenever Harrow talks about this, he does so in a really vague way. He doesn't say, for instance, "Ammit plans to eliminate everyone destined to commit first-degree murder." Instead, he says "Ammit will light the path to good by eradicating the choice of evil," which is very sexy of him, but not very informative. (Sidebar: I feel I should add that this ambiguity does serve a narrative purpose; if the audience isn't told exactly what Ammit thinks is evil and what kind of "sinners" she's punishing, it's easier to see Harrow as morally grey rather than a complete villain. As a fan of good character writing, I love it, but as a bratty lore-scientist I'm frustrated).

All that being said, there is one exception to this "vagueness" Harrow adopts when speaking about Ammit's judgement, and it's in Episode 1 when he corners Steven in the museum and tells him Ammit would have prevented the crimes of Hitler, Nero and Pol Pot, as well as the Armenian genocide. This is, as far as I can tell, the closest we get to a specific explanation of what Ammit considers sinful. So we know she doesn't like those who abuse their power to commit wide-scale mass murder, though most people would probably agree that this should go without saying anyway. The other problem is, we have to remember Harrow had an agenda with Steven in this scene, and probably chose to give those four examples precisely because they were so prolific and widely recognized as terrible things done by evil people - basically, appealing to pathos. Would Ammit really have killed Hitler and prevented the Holocaust? Probably, but that's not really Harrow's point. My best guess is that Ammit does kill genocidal dictators, but for every genocidal dictator she also kills a million more people who committed nonviolent crimes, or violent crimes with extenuating circumstances like self-defense, or those who would have sincerely repented and changed their ways years after their crime. So Harrow was doing what Harrow does best, which is technically telling the truth, but only as much of the truth as will get him what he wants. Again, extremely sexy of him, but not very helpful.

TLDR, maybe Ammit really does care about creating a peaceful world. Maybe she really does believe the ends justify the means, "means" in this case being "not killing unbalanced people as long as they can help me somehow" and "ends" being "they eventually help me create the perfect world and then I kill them anyway, oops." Or maybe what she really cares about is being worshipped. Who knows.

So anyway, that's Ammit's scales. But then we get to Episode 5 and it turns out there are REAL scales in the underworld, and from what I can tell just from Marc and Steven's case alone, these scales go by different criteria. Marc and Steven's scales were unbalanced because they weren't being honest with each other and with themselves about crucial events in their lives. It didn't seem to come down to whether they were "good" or "evil" people. Even when Marc's actual crimes were brought up, their purpose wasn't to guilt him into atoning for his sins, but to force him to be honest with Steven. Marc's scales only balanced when Steven was "neutralized" (for lack of a better word), thus putting to rest the "chaos" inside him.

In what I've read about the traditional scales of judgement in Egyptian mythology, the most consistent explanation seems to be that an "unbalanced" soul is one that has more evil than good in it. So presumably, someone who had done evil things could make up for it by doing a ton more good things, and still end up with balanced scales. But that's definitely not how Ammit works, and Taweret really doesn't seem too concerned with good and evil anyway.

Moon Knight had an Egyptology consultant on set, so the showrunners almost definitely knew this stuff about the scales, as well as the fact that the actual god in charge of judging souls was Anubis, and that Ammit was a soul-eating demon who worked under him. In keeping with their goal of remaining respectful to the culture and mythology of Egypt even while taking the occasional creative liberty, they would certainly have taken these pieces of lore about the after life into consideration.

What I ultimately take away from all this is that the judgement system in the MCU Egyptian afterlife isn't working the way it was originally intended to, and it's having serious consequences for both the gods and humanity.

Okay, now for my own personal theory: Anubis was originally the arbiter of the underworld, and judged souls as balanced or unbalanced based on whether the good in them outweighed the evil. If they were judged as evil, they were fed to Ammit, and eventually Ammit developed a taste for evil souls. She pulled strings, maybe did some blackmailing, and got the Ennead to imprison Anubis, leaving Ammit as his "understudy" in charge of judging souls. But she stopped using the old method of judgement, and crafter her own set of scales that would judge souls as unbalanced if they had done ANY harm at all during their lives. Things inevitably got out of hand, and the Ennead imprisoned Ammit as well, which is how Taweret got the gig.

Here's a possible premise for Season 2: Ammit is gone for good (or so everyone thinks...wink...), but still no one, god or human, is happy with the way the scales system works. Taweret is used as a scapegoat and imprisoned in an ushabti. Now it's complete anarchy down in the Duat, so the gods are forced to re-release Anubis. BOOM. You're welcome, Marvel.

Anupama 29 January 2023 Update: जब अनुपमा को पहले अनुज को हल्दी लगाने के लिए कहा जाता है तो वह शर्मा जाती है। मालविका, देविका, पाखी और डॉली का कहना है कि अनुपमा का अनुज पर पहला अधिकार है। कांता हसमुख द्वारा पीछा करने की अनुमति देती है। वनराज और लीला भौहें चढ़ा कर बैठते हैं जबकि सभी आनंद लेते हैं। अनुपमा सहमत हैं। समर उसे रोकता है और संगीत के बाद उसे ठीक से लगाने के लिए कहता है। अनुपमा अनुज के साथ बिंदिया चमके चूड़ी खांके.. गाने पर डांस करती हैं.. सभी यंगस्टर्स उनके साथ होते हैं और उनके चारों तरफ डांस करते हैं। डांस परफॉर्मेंस के बाद अनुपमा अनुज को हल्दी लगाती हैं। काव्या उनकी प्रेम कहानी से प्रभावित महसूस करती हैं। अनुपमा अनुज के पैर छूने की कोशिश करती है। अनुज उसे रोकता है और कहता है कि जब वह हल्दी लगाएगा तो वह भी ऐसा ही करेगा क्योंकि उन्हें एक दूसरे का समान रूप से सम्मान करना चाहिए। Anupama 9th January 2023 Update| अनुपमा 9 जनवरी 2023 अपडेट अनुपमा 29 जनवरी 2023 अपडेट: वह शर्माते हुए सहमत हो जाती है और अपने पैरों पर हंडली लगाती है। इसके बाद हर कोई उन्हें हल्दी लगाता है। अनुज हसमुख के पास हल्दी का कटोरा लेकर जाता है और जीके और कांता के बाद उनका आशीर्वाद लेता है। अनुज का कहना है कि अब उसकी अनु की बारी है। देविका कहती है कि वह मौका क्यों गंवाएगा। मालविका मजाक करती है कि अनुज को अनुपमा के पास जाने का मौका चाहिए। लीला चिल्लाती है कि क्या उसे बड़ों के सामने ऐसा बोलने में शर्म नहीं आती। मालविका मजाक में कहती हैं कि उन्हें अपने से बड़ा बिल्कुल नहीं लगता। लीला मजाक में कहती है कि वह कभी-कभी सही बोलती है। अनुज फिर अनुपमा की तारीफ करते हुए शायरी सुनाता है। यह सुनकर हर कोई मुस्कुराता है जबकि वनराज और लीला की भौहें तन जाती हैं। समर, तोशु और पाखी फिर अनुपमा के लिए एक थाली में ढका हुआ उपहार लेकर आते हैं।

UnderTale: Future Story

Prologue: Its been a long time since everyone had escaped the Underground. Alot of things have happened since then. Many battles have taken place for the rights of monsters in human society, but those battles weren't as great as "TGM". After that monsters were generally accepted but not as much as expected. There was still alot of hate, fear, and general distaste of the monsters. Discrimination still ran wild in the city of "Tokyovania" the city in which most of the boss monsters decided to settle; because of the high concentration of magic and a new souls as well as technology. Though there has been peace for some time after "TGM".

Section 1: a young man lays in bed after a day of hard training and utilizing his magic and trait abilities. (He has brand new type of soul a "Blend soul"; a soul made from the fusing of a human soul and a monster soul, but not of absorbing but of parentage. The combination of souls through love. This young mans soul Mother had happened to be the ambassador of the monsters, a girl named Frisk. His "father" a lazy monster named Sans. There souls in harmony gave birth to a new class of creature dubbed a "Zento". Though he had his mothers "DETERMINATION" trait he also developed a new trait due to his fathers strong monster soul. He had the new trait of magic  called "WILLPOWER". These traits were both primary and presented brilliantly within the young mans soul).

The young man lay on his bed still swearing his green hoodie and sweatpants. He had shaggy hair with green and red tips, he also wear a pair of green and silver high-tech headphones, and eyes that shined like gold, mainly because they were a golden yellow color. He was still a bit sweaty after his training session. "This is so damn draining, all these drills, routine, and techniques, AND IM NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO USE THEM IN A FIGHT 'CUZ ILL GET IN TROUBLE." He sighed in frustration as he stared at the ceiling. "How long will it be before something exciting happens. I'm so tired of training, and fighting, and using skills..... you'd think having powers would be fun but not when they are constantly used for bs". He paused for a bit of time, and sat up while sighing and looking at his phone and starting typing in a memo app. What he typed read "Note To Self: Learn to control that talking to myself thing."

 He laid back down in silence until this silence was interrupted by his father teleporting into the room. "Hey kiddo its time for some dinner hurry up or it'll all be gone and you'll be saying pasta la vista". Sans chuckled a bit before looking at his son. A bit of silence followed before Sans spoke again " Listen Alter.... I just want you to be prepared fo-" "FOR WHAT?!?!?" Alter said angrily while quickly getting up and staring his own father down. "All i ever do day after day is train eat and school and train IN THAT ORDER I HAVE A DAMN FLOW CHART!" Alter then proceeded to point at his wall showing a flow chart. "Kiddo i'm just saying the humans here are dangerous theirs a lot of new things were learning and i don't want you caught off guard....your a very special kid and more special then your mom and that's saying something." More silence filled the room as sans looked away and at the ground and only then did Alter speak "Dad I'm sorry its just I'd like to go out there and you know meet people MINGLE have a couple show downs this isn't some game anymore like it was in the underground people fight and don't wait for turns anymore....i love the thrill of a fight and whether you let me go or not im determined to go out." Alter's eyes glowed bright as the excitement of a fight raced in his head making him excited and then he rushed off to dinner knowing how scary his mom can be.

 Then sans was all alone in Alter's room as he sighed, and began to talk to himself. "Kid....One of these days were not gonna be able to reverse any mistakes the people make.....these humans are evil and i know it and i can feel many human souls with magic so powerful its scary." Suddenly he was snapped out of his monologue by his family calling him for dinner. "Heh.....ill just have to enjoy the time i have left with them....." He made his soul appear as it flickered and cracked a tiny bit at the edges.
