Sakura and Sasuke returning to the village after their time away, Sarada tucked up under her mother’s cloak to keep her warm and out of the sun.
Naruto, sprinting up to the gates because he heard they were back: SASUKE, SAKURA! You guys are finally back! I have so much to tell you!
Sakura: I always told you we’d be back! Just had some detours along the way.
Sasuke, arm around Sakura’s shoulder being very protective husband and father: Be grateful we’re back as soon as we are.
Kakashi, having strolled up to greet his former students: We should be wishing you a congratulations, I received your request for a marriage certificate.
Naruto, pouting: Yeah! I can’t believe my best friends got married without me.
Sakura, blushing: We were traveling all over, it wasn’t sensible! Thank you all the same.
Sarada begins crying due to her mother’s shouting.
Naruto, looking around for Hinata and Boruto: Where’s that crying coming from? Hinata isn’t here. Oh, you guys gotta meet Boruto, he’s the coolest baby, y’know?
Sasuke, uncovering Sarada so Sakura can soothe her, he runs his hand over her hair: It’s Sarada, dobe.
Kakashi and Naruto: Sarada?!
Naruto: You guys had a baby? And didn’t tell ANYONE???
Sakura, sheepish: We wanted her to be a surprise?
Kakashi, smirking: You two clearly kept yourselves busy.
Sakura, blushing bright red: KAKASHI-SENSEI!
Naruto, grinning: She looks about Boruto’s age, they can be best friends! Maybe one day we’ll be in-laws! *Smirks at Sasuke*
Sasuke, glaring: Over my dead body, and probably yours too.

HAIKYUU!! + "REVERSE COMFORT"
Tumblr media
warnings- mentions of insecurity, EXTREMELY brief mention of alcohol, anxiety, stress & family issues in kuroo's drabble, a lot of fluff and a lot of angst
includes- keiji akaashi, hinata shoyo, kuroo tetsuro, with a gender neutral reader (no pronouns explicitly used)
Tumblr media
# | kuroo had always taken it upon himself to be independent. his parents weren't ever someone who he'd been able to count on, you knew that more than anyone else. there'd been multiple times in which they'd let him down ,the missed family get-togethers,failing to turn up to kuroo's graduation because of work...
the absolute cherry topping it all off was the time they'd failed to turn up your wedding on time and had strolled in half-way with a cheap bottle of corner-store booze, acting as if they'd not been in the wrong at all.
they were always the people who had always played an almost ceremonial role in kuroo's life , rather than people he could trust with all the highs and lows, someone he could celebrate the positives and the negatives with.
and he couldn't say he'd ever cared about it.
if there's one thing that the lack of childhood taught him, it was that you had to fend for yourself.
yet there'd always been a part of him that felt as though they were never there to serve the purpose as his very own mother and father, and it'd taken something away from him...
a loving home of his own.
it was tough for a child , when you couldn't process the lack of attention you were given, but as an adult, you could sense everything. you understood every little jab and insult thrown at you.
and you suppose that's what hurt him the most.
it was supposed to be a small dinner. a peaceful friday evening with your in - laws had turned into a huge fight in which your husband had walked out with tears streaming down his face. they'd been insensitive, as always and kuroo was good at dealing with things like that, but after a demanding day at work and stress having him worked up... their words had finally gotten to him.
you sat with him in the car your in law's driveway, as he let it all out every single wave of disappointment and hurt he'd buried for so long. you drove the two of you home in silence, parking in your garage, before you finally turned to your husband.
he was really a sight to see.
dishevelled hair, previously ironed- now crinkled clothes and sweet watery eyes that held the remnants of his sorely wounded heart.
"oh sweetheart, c'mere ".
you heard him let out a choked sob before collapsing into your chest, his warm tears stained through the soft material of your blouse as you combed your hands through his hair. "it's okay tetsu, i've got you."
you knew he couldn't answer right now but you understood everything you needed to in the way his grip tightened against your torso. it was kuroo's own silent way of saying thank you.
his way of saying thank you for just being there.
--
!! | keiji had a habit of pushing himself and draining himself to exhaustion, ever since high school.
he was always striving to be the very best, in everything… he wanted to be the very best, even if that meant denying himself of everything he wanted. akaashi had never been someone who acknowledged himself as successful,  being just one of the best wasn’t good enough for him. if he wasn't number one, what was the point?
it had always hit him hard. the stress, the upcoming deadlines… he wanted to be good enough…he was more than enough yet he never saw himself that way, the pent up anger and the frustration that he had built up over the years morphed into hurt… it all came pouring out at once, the years of bottled up emotions had finally burst.
the tears came almost naturally, rushing down his flushed cheeks, blotching the ink on the sheets of painfully so, still unfinished work in front of him, what started as sniffles erupted into painful rattling sobs that came from deep inside him… walking into the study to tell keiji to come to bed, you witnessed the most unlikely circumstance you could find your boyfriend in..
he was never the emotional one , he was more the stable foundation, a rather stoic (yet ever so caring) personality, always prioritising you before himself but now... just the sight of him made your heart ache.
how long had he been hiding this?
you wrapped your arms around him. allowing him to cry into your chest, reducing his panic a little, his warm tears dampening your shirt.
he needed this.
he needed to let it all out, to let the emotions that had been troubling him to just leave.
just you staying with him calmed him down.
the faint fragrance of your body spray on your skin, your soothing coos of comfort… the warmth of your body next to him. you smiled softly, "you'll always be my no.1 , keiji.. i just wish you knew that". you muttered quietly into his hair as his tears ebbed into small hiccups that caught in his throat. you doubted he had heard it over his sniffles, but when you felt his arms tighten around your torso and his soft smile against your bare abdomen... you knew had . and you'll say it hundreds of times again.
if it meant that he'd finally believe it.
--
% | hinata had always been quite good at keeping his morale up, one way or another he lifted himself up from the lowest of lows and kept going. recently he really didn’t feel up to it… sometimes things just get, well… overwhelming.
things that people comment online, the constant pressure to be outstandingly good in every match. he couldn’t handle it, being in the limelight had always appealing to him but sometimes even stars need a little break…
crying in the club’s locker room was never top of the to do list for shoyo that day, but after a particularly demanding day with a painful defeat at the end to top it all off, he couldn’t help but let himself go.
he was never a pretty crier.. his nose always went runny and the tips of his ear and his nose turned a bright red…  and you could always tell when he was upset. he had expressive eyes that reflected almost any emotion he felt.
hearing the club door open he composed himself a little, and he couldn't help but feel pleasantly surprised when you walked in.
your soft voice and words of comfort made his heart swell with love .. how did he deserve you? nestling his head into your neck he pulled you down onto his lap, re-assuring you that he was completely fine, with you kissing his tears away, your soft breath lapping over his eye lids... he felt safe. as if the storm that was brewing had just suddenly turned into wisps of cloud.
having tough days may be horrible but you and your words of encouragement were always there for him to bring him up when he couldn’t do it himself.

*dramatically leaps down from Hokage mountain like an anime op*
HI I HAVE MORE UCHIHA CLAN THOUGHTS.
-I’ve seen the HC floating around that the Uchiha are really ableist about blindness and people with vision problems, like ostracizing a clan member etc. To which I say LIES AND SLANDER.
-This is one of the *only* dojutsu clans in canon, and the *only* one who canonically go permanently blind from overuse of their ability. Hinata in canon only went blind for a few days from eye strain, but with Uchiha the only time we see vision loss mentioned it’s *permanent* unless they get an eye transplant. Now blindness is only mentioned in canon specifically in relation to specific op abilities (Izanagi and Izanami) and the mangekyo sharingan, but the fact that blindness is *baked in* to the most powerful sharingan evolution and abilities indicates that eye strain is a very common problem for Uchiha, and it’s not unreasonable to assume that Uchiha who grow old are at high risk of eventually just. Going blind. It’s not from the mangekyo, it’s not even really from sharingan overuse. It’s because the sharingan is hyper evolved for perfect vision and so as an Uchiha gets older and their body naturally starts to degrade one of the things that tends to break down is the chakra pathways that allow the sharingan to work, and once those are gone, the brain probably just- stops being able to process the data the eye is transmitting. Because Finicky Brain Things.
-Not saying that every Uchiha goes blind if they go old, but I’m just sitting here thinking that it’s probably a very common problem. It’s the Uchiha version of going bald when you get old. It’s *natural*.
-On top of that, something that would definitely have cropped up more often in the Warring States and pre-Warring States eras would be Uchiha being *born* blind. Again, that kind of evolution that enables the sharingan is *finicky*, especially when it’s being developed. So stuff like really bad sickness during pregnancy, premature birth, or even injury from the mother being attacked (or being on the battlefield before she knew she was pregnant) could all contribute to an Uchiha child being born straight up blind, or at least super near-sighted.
-Once Konoha was founded and things were just- in general safer/more stable for Uchiha mothers as well as the advancements in medicine, this risk would have gone wayyy down, but it would still be like. A Known Thing. There would be clan superstitions about ways to help prevent the baby from being born blind.
-Anyway what I’m getting at is blindness is a known thing in daily life of an Uchiha and *they would account for that*. While I can see there being old clan laws about blindness affecting inheritability of like- high ranking positions in the clan (since they are a shinobi clan and thus high ranking positions are directly tied to shinobi capability), overall the Uchiha would probably be the *least* ableist about blindness in their members? I can easily see them being the ones to have rigidly organized streets to make for easier navigation, a specific pattern of houses and streets so that you can find your way to and from a place by sheer memorization. Houses all probably have a similar layout of rooms, if not furniture, to again assist in any navigation problems.
-For heavens sake the three *known* Uchiha-related contracts are Crows, Hawks, and *House Cats* (Hawks are in canon only related to Sasuke, but since we never have any canon explanation on where he got them- *points at the old Uchiha fortresses scattered around Land of Fire*. And as for the cats, they’re the same thing, we see ninja cats in Neko-baa’s place and she is specifically an *Uchiha* weapon/supply provider). None of those are strictly combat summons unless you have the chops to summon a cat the size of a house or something but do you know what all three of those are really good at? *Navigation*. The two bird species both have very good vision, and cats have excellent night vision on top of just being generally really good at finding their way around. Plus, all three are feasibly small enough to be near or on a person at all times.
-These people literally have three very good to perfect contracts for *seeing eye animals*, and I know Kishi in no way intended that since Kishi world builds in the same way a goldfish contemplates philosophy, but these tools and ideas are there and I’m gonna use them to make something interesting and coherent doggonit.

Tadaima, Okaeri Episode 5 Review - Big Brother Hikari
If you’re from an Asian family and you’re the eldest son or daughter, you probably experienced many different types of roles. Maybe you were the agony aunt, the trauma dumpster, the third parent, or something similar. To be honest, I’m not the oldest in my Asian family—I’m the youngest. I’m just listing out these categories from the people I’ve witnessed growing up. Why am I mentioning all of this? Well, as a toddler character, Hikari could have been written to be any one of the things I mentioned, but fortunately, the author does a great job balancing out Hikari as an individual and Hikari as a big brother so that he isn’t just one or the other. Though, I do want to warn you that anime kids are much, much different from kids in real life.
Tumblr media
Hikari is a great big brother, honestly! He’s never been jealous of Hinata and he really enjoys having her around his life. He could’ve been easily jealous or possessive due to how spoiled he was, but he doesn’t seem to mind sharing his parents, specifically Masaki, with her. That’s a sign that he’ll be an amazing older brother growing up and that both siblings will have a strong bond.
Because his environment has changed, Hikari now has to grow up a bit. He tries to be a bit too selfless and it causes him to get a fever from stress. I’m glad that Masaki and Hiromu are great parents as they guide Hikari as gentle and wise as possible. For example, Hiromu didn’t freak out when Hikari tried feeding an apple to Hinata. Instead, he tells him that Hinata needs to learn how to chew before he can share food with her and then Masaki tells him that Hinata prefers watching Hikari eat rather than being fed, to which Hikari got happy. I swear, their parenting style is what all Asian families need. Down with trauma dumping and high expectations! We need more gentle and kind parenting! Parents are guides in their child’s lives, after all. Being a positive influence does wonders. This is why Hikari is super sweet and kind! I’m glad that Masaki and Hiromu aren’t putting all of their attention on Hinata and that they still share it with Hikari all the time.
I do like the little conversation Hikari has with Matsuo. Since Hiromu, Masaki and Yuuki are only children, Matsuo is technically his senpai in the land of big brothers. His advice to Hikari shows that he really was a great older brother, but he denies that. It also shows that Hikari is someone who takes things literally, which is why he overexerts himself and got himself a fever. The way he mentioned that his parents think of Hiromu as another son and Hikari as a grandson would be a great story idea. The Matsuo parents were supposed to make an appearance in the story, but it was scrapped by the author. Matsuo’s younger brothers will make a future appearance, however; stay tuned to when they make their debut.
Hiromu and Masaki’s little conversation was also really nice too. It’s their first time having two kids so both parents are growing alongside Hikari. They really have an ideal relationship where both of them talk about their worries to each other and are still lovey-dovey as they’re not afraid of public affection.
The second half of the episode was a nice little way for Hikari to be spoiled by his family. The family is invited to spend a day with the in-laws minus Matsuo and Yuuki this time around. It’s just the four of them. I think this was a nice segue in a way because Children’s Day was just yesterday in Japan.
It’s also a segment showcases how the relationship between Masaki and his in-laws are getting better and how Hiromu’s tension with his father has lifted, but he still has snarky quips towards him every now and then. It’s funny how similar they are in personality as they both record Hikari wearing the paper hat.
Speaking of in-laws, Hiromu’s mother Akira is formally introduced here. She’s very elegant and graceful. I love how kind she is when it came to wanting to make amends with Masaki and even had him trying on her bridal kimono that she wanted to give to him. She’s sweet, but I did wonder about her stance on her son marrying an omega. She doesn’t seem to be against it given her demeanor and that it seemed like it was only Kouji who had rejected the marriage before apologizing. Hiromu is surprising a very good balance of both of his parents in a way. His hair, eyes and mole all came from Akira, while the personality is all from his dad. I do wish I could’ve seen how his relationship with his mother was like since he mainly interacted with his father.
The voice acting in this episode was really good! Konomi Kohara makes very convincing baby babbles. You can tell that Atsumi Tanezaki has a good grasp on Hikari as she makes him more articulate as he’s now a three year old. Toshiyuki Morikawa does an amazing job with the many types of tones he gives Hiromu whenever he is interacting with someone. It feels like I’ve witnessed Morikawa play five different characters. He makes his voice high pitched when he is doting over his kids. He gets irritated when his father calls Masaki. He’s gentle when he’s only with Masaki. I think my favorite of Morikawa’s performance is when he makes Hinata sound like a woman in her 40’s. I got reminded that he did voice the Panda Mom in Shirokuma Cafe. Shinpachi Tsuji does a great job with the silly and serious sides of Kouji. Atsushi Tamaru does a great job with the gentle side of Masaki and also the part where he got all embarrassed from Hiromu staring at him in his bridal clothes was super adorable. Akira’s voice actress is Naomi Shindo and she does a great job bringing out the gentle demeanor of hers.
Oh, if you have noticed, this is the first episode where Yuuki doesn’t make an appearance outside of the brief recap in the beginning. I was surprised he doesn’t appear at all because I had been expecting another post-credit scene between him and Matsuo to appear again, but no, he doesn’t appear at all. His name doesn’t even appear in the credits. Well, it makes sense given that Yuuki wasn’t present in these two chapters either. Don’t worry, he’ll appear next episode. Do you miss Yuuki? What are your thoughts on this episode?

A Slice of Life Mini-fic That Pulls No Punches
Sarada doesn’t understand how doing both nothing and everything at the same time could be so hard.
Pacing back and forth across their kitchen floor, her breath hisses from between her teeth in a constant “shhhhhhhh.” The little black-haired lump, its limp head resting on her shoulder, is finally still.
She chances a glance down, standing beside their microwave, electric green display reading 4:59. Their baby’s face has faded from rage red to a slight flush, the single whisker line on her cheek visible once more.
Exhausted beyond measure, Sarada sits down at their kitchen table rather than making the long trek back up to their bedroom.
(Why had they even bothered decorating a nursery when it was only used to store the baby’s clothes?)
She stares at the inky sky outside, thinking about how a year ago, her alarm would have been going off. Some stretches, a quick shower, and she would have been off to Hokage Tower with her cloak on while Boruto was still facedown in bed, drooling on his pillow.
Now, he’s out on a mission and she’s here, alone with their daughter.
The first night, Sarada tried to assure herself that it was the “alone” part of the situation that bothered her.
By the second night, however, she had to acknowledge that it was the “with their daughter” aspect that was bothering her. Sarada had wanted to become a mother, but being a parent took more than she expected.
It isn’t the sleepless nights, though. The constant occupation of her body by a small, squalling stranger now occupying their once-quiet house.
The diapers… So many diapers.
What Sarada is worried about is if she’ll ever be herself again.
Over the past three years of being Hokage, her priorities were easy to understand: Protect the village at all costs, even that of her own life. And, she’d still do it, if that meant protecting her daughter as well.
Ah, but there was the rub. What does it actually mean to protect her daughter? Is it wearing a billowing white robe on the battlefield or is it sitting quietly in the dark, that tiny ear pressed against her chest to hear Sarada’s heart beat.
The worry had tickled at the back of her head during the baby’s first two weeks of life, but it wasn’t until Boruto left–proved that he was able to leave while she had to stay–that the weight of it all finally came crashing down.
Sarada tugs at the bottom of her baby’s gown, hiding her wrinkled little feet beneath the hem to keep them warm.
Of course, she and Boruto were a team. Both serious shinobi. But, if she was honest with herself, Sarada had always considered herself slightly more dedicated.
Where was that dedication now, sitting alone in a kitchen, both wanting to place her baby down in the bassinet beside their bed and run off to work while simultaneously unable to imagine ever putting the Hokage’s hat back on her head again?
It’s hard, she acknowledges.
Even harder when she’s facing it alone. Of course, Hinata had offered to come and stay while Boruto was on the mission—her own mother currently sitting behind the desk in Hokage tower—but, Sarada had said no.
She told her mother-in-law that she wanted time alone with the baby, when the truth was that it was hard to watch Hinata in her house, making every aspect of motherhood look so easy.
Is that what Sarada wants to be?
The baby hiccups and squirms in her sleep.
Is it possible to love something so much that you lose yourself?
The locks on the front door click before it opens and is slammed shut. The familiar sound of Boruto’s bags hitting the ground grates on her nerves (they had hooks on the wall, damn it!) Through the open doorway, she can see him sitting down to take off his shoes.
She doesn’t want to call out. Doesn’t want to wake the baby, so she says nothing as he dashes upstairs, then winces as his feet pound down them a second later.
He stands in the doorway, smiling. “Sarada!”
Ah, the village hero has valiantly returned to his home, ready to regale his wife and infant daughter with tales of his heroism! Or, maybe, tuck his hands behind his back and deliver a mission report.
She presses a stern finger to her lips, pointing down at their sleeping child.
In the dim light, Boruto’s shoulders slump, his one open eye drifting over them before his gaze lands on the floor.
Her heart immediately sinks.
Too harsh.
“How was your mission?” she whispers.
Her husband scratches at the patch of mud on his chin and shrugs. “Fine, I guess.”
Then he presses his lips together, voice as shy as the night he first asked her out. “Can I just hold my baby?”
Her eyes dart down to the tiny black head on her chest. “Yeah, of course.”
Boruto is beside the table before the words are even out of her mouth, pulling off his dirty jacket and blood-speckled t-shirt, stretching out his arms.
Sarada stands, gently transferring the sleeping bundle to his bare chest. She watches as Boruto breathes a sigh of relief, burying his nose into their child’s fine hair.
He slumps down in the chair across from her, eyes closed as he inhales and all the things Sarada wanted to say to him are suddenly stuck in her throat.
Because, sometimes life is going to be hard for both of them, wanting to do nothing and everything at once.
And maybe that’s okay.

Brief Description:
Chihiro has black hair, and she keeps it long and fluffy as per tradition in her clan. She has pale skin and blue eyes.
She comes from an ancient shinobi clan, whose Kekkei Genkai allows them to fully transform into animals as well as call upon local wildlife for assistance (usually for recon and spying; combat not too often). According to clan legend, their founder was a wolf god, so the wolf is often used as a symbol of the clan; they also have close relations to a wolf pack in the mountains who say that their founder was the same god. Women are traditionally the leaders of the clan (it’s not a requirement but that’s kinda just how the chips fall in most generations).
Chihiro has Fire Chakra nature, which is common in her clan. Will definitely fight and win. Does not take failure lightly. Her bite is way worse than her bark for sure. Doesn’t like strangers (she’ll default to high formalities with them), but loves her friends dearly. Met Neji during their academy days, and became best friends with Tenten after meeting her when they became genin.

“So, do you plan on bringing a fourth kid into the family?” It was meant as a joke but Sasuke almost spat out his drink having to move Sarada on his lap encase it spilled on her. She didn’t pay any mind and continued to happily baby babble to Boruto.
“Your joking, right?” And here he thought Naruto was starting to act mature suggesting to meet up at the park rather than his usual ramen stand. He even insisted on bringing the kids along for them to also bond, his older twins Satomi and Saori were playing in the flowers still in sight since they knew not to go off to far whilst the four of them sat on the bench.
This wasn’t the type of conversation he imagined.
“Well, it’s not like you have to have them right now. I’m just curious if you and Sakura-Chan talked about it.” Not really, talking about more kids didn’t seem necessary when Sarada herself couldn’t speak yet and the twins were still young needing all their attention.
“Where is this coming from?” At first Naruto seemed to hesitate to reply, almost embarrassed which wasn’t like him at all.
“Me and Hinata were talking last night, and we decided that once Boruto’s old enough we might try for another. I mean seeing your older two act with Sarada got me thinking that I didn’t want Boruto to be an only child. And I’m sure he’ll be a great older brother too.”
Ah, that made sense.
“So, you wanting another kid means we must? Do you not remember Sakura giving birth to twins?”
“Hey! I’m fully aware, I was only curious since I’m sure Sakura-Chan would love to have a kid that isn’t a copy and paste of you.”
Touché. He smirked rolling his eyes.
“Very funny.” The two were then interrupted when he felt a light tug on his sleeve to see his two daughters with flower crowns.
“Papa, Papa, look, we made flower crowns for Sawada and Bowuto.” They smiled, Satomi put one on Sarada and she clapped delighted whilst Saori put hers on Boruto who only blinked seemingly confused at what was on his head.
He then made a little fuss not liking it.
“Aww, I think it looks cute buddy.” Although cute was probably not the look Boruto was going for. Naruto then turned his attention to the girls asking them questions.
Sasuke couldn’t help but smile fondly at his daughters talking animatedly. Yes, he was perfectly content with his little family and if they did end up having another baby in the future, he has no doubt they’ll be loved and taken care of just as much.
The twins were planned, or at least one of them was.
When Sakura first told him the news, full of excitement and glee it wasn’t long until the rest of his family found out and they even had a small celebration for them.
And then she found out they were having twins. Embarrassingly Sasuke had fainted on the spot after hearing this, not his finest hour he’ll admit. It was one thing expecting a baby on their first but twins. She was so small, and whilst he had no doubt his wife could take care of herself Sasuke had refused to take any missions until the two were delivered safety. Even with his mother insisting that they would take care of her or his in laws. Sasuke didn’t like the idea of leaving Sakura alone knowing she was carrying not one but two of their babies.
Sarada on the other hand wasn’t planned but after the first two, they were more confident in what they were doing. He felt more at ease on taking missions and leaving her by herself. But he still made sure to ask his or Sakura’s parents to take care/keep an eye on her. Sakura was also excited since Naruto and Hinata were expecting which meant their little one already had a play date.
The thought of adding another baby… what kind of surprise would they have installed for them.
“What if she ends up on having triplets?” Having triplets would mean there would also be a chance for them to be three girls and whilst Sasuke didn’t care for the gender, the thought of having six (as if three wasn’t enough) girls and having to deal with all the boys, heartbreak…
His stomach turned queasy at the thought.
“Uh, Sasuke you okay? You look kind of pale.”

The first name basis in Japanese is okay if both persons are close to each other or not if both are not. In some cases, you can still refer a person with his/her first name and add a honorific to it.
Sumire is polite to include honorifics when talking to her peers, even when referring to them by their first name.
Boruto did pick up on Naruto's non-formal manner of addressing people despite this fact that his mother, Hinata, is one of the polite and formal people in the series. However, from what we saw, Naruto learned to be formal when addressing people, even his in-laws. So much so, that even Hiashi and Hanabi are telling him not to be formal with them.
Sarada non-use of honorifics to Boruto, particularly, before they were teammates, can be looked on with raised eyebrows. However, it is okay when they are teammates already.
Sarada not using honorifics before they became teammates would be due to how she views Boruto negatively that she sees no point in being polite towards him.
Though in Naruto they pretty much always use first names as far as I know among the classmates and same age group.

Confessions in the rain - SasuHina Day 10
So this was originally part of my submission for the SasuHina Zine but was cut out due to being too long. For context, this is a Mischievous Kiss au, where Hinata, after being disowned, is living on her own when her house is destroyed by a shooting star and Mikoto - who was friends with her mother - invites her to live with them. Hinata didn’t have feelings for Sasuke like Kotaro did Naoki, at least not at first. This was based off the confession scene we got in the last episode. Also, if anyone is curious, check out Machitsuki on YouTube as they give explanation into Naoki’s POV and understanding his side of the story. It’s a big eye opener
Day 10 | Día 10
“Kissing in the rain” | “Beso bajo la lluvia”
“Finding beauty in the ugly and broken” | “Encontrar belleza en lo     feo y roto”
The house was silent. Not that it usually wasn’t. the Uchihas were quite people for the most part but there was always background noise. Be it Mikoto’s humming or the shuffling of Fugaku’s paperwork or the voice of Itachi’s audio books and even Sasuke’s music. Growing up in her house, Hinata learned to keep quiet and when she moved in with the Uchiha’s, the noise – even at its softest – felt so loud. But it became the sound of home. Even when it was interrupted by Fugaku and Sasuke’s arguments, by Itachi protesting his treatment to his parents, by Sasuke’s hissed threats to not tell anyone at school she lived here, it was home. Plus, the threats didn’t last long, so it was an extra bonus.
The sounds reminded Hinata that she had people who cared nearby. She’d seen Mikoto rip into her father after he tried to drag her back to the Hyuuga Mansion after she graduated high school. She finally convinced Fugaku to listen to Sasuke instead of just yelling. She’d taken care of Itachi during one of the worst headaches he had. She started to bond with Sasuke. That one had been a surprise, knowing how much Sasuke avoided females in general. He’d helped her study for the biggest review exam, he’d make moments where she could have confessed to Naruto and even comforted her when the blonde rejected her.
It had been then when it became apparent to her that her feelings for Naruto had faded before she even confessed. Feelings towards Sasuke had grown unexpectedly and continued to grow with each moment. She tried to stop it, not wanting to become another of his fangirls but it seemed almost impossible. First it was extra time spent together in tennis club they both joined entering college. During their retreat, they’d been in charge of food and the domestic task of cooking every night made her excited for each night. when one of his new fangirls had somehow blackmailed him into going on a date, Hinata didn’t want to get involved. It felt like pure coincidence she and Kiba ended up at the same theatre they were at. While she felt bad for abandoning Kiba, the time spent with Sasuke showed him at his most relaxed. The picture she convinced him to take was one she revisited fondly.
It would have been easy to tell him, a part of her ready to just put everything on the line and just tell him. But then it all changed. Sasuke got engaged. It was arranged, between him and the daughter of his father’s old police chief. Fugako’s private detective company was in trouble with getting their licenses reinstated and the old chief offered to help speed them along, if Fugaku let his sons meet his daughter. A week later, Sasuke announced he was going to marry the daughter.
Mikoto protested furiously and even Fugaku – who didn’t get involved in his kids’ love lives – didn’t agree. It was made even worse when Sasuke said he would transfer from medicine into law to take over his father’s company. Sasuke had thought long and hard about his major even when finally agreeing to attend university, so for him to suddenly change it and do the thing that had been the centre of his and his father’s fights didn’t make sense at all. With Sasuke as his father’s company whenever he wasn’t at school and Mikoto’s anger and sadness that her son was doing this, the once noisy house fell silent.
Watching Sasuke do this, even bringing her to campus felt like a stab in the chest. She tried ignoring it, telling herself that Sasuke was allowed to do what he wanted but it wouldn’t go away. It haunted her.
“Hinata?”
Hinata looked away from her textbooks that were only opened for looks and at Itachi who stood in her doorway. His glasses were in place and the hood of his sweatshirt was pulled up making his face dark.
“Could you do me a favour? Sasuke is at the agency and dad was supposed to bring him back but he got called out. Mom refuses to go near the agency since the…” he trailed off, like he still couldn’t believe what he brother was doing. “and it’s too late for me to go out. I’d get Kisame to get him but he’s got work. Would you be able to go and get him?”
“Couldn’t he walk home himself?”
“He could, if he had an umbrella.”
Hinata looked and saw raindrops painting her window. She hadn’t even heard it start to rain.
“oh. Well then, in that case, I can.”
Itachi followed her downstairs and handed her an umbrella once she was properly suited up and waved her off. If the house was quiet, outside felt even quieter. Even with the sound of the rain hitting the umbrella, the water parting under cars’ tires, footsteps of other people rushing home, it all felt so empty. She wondered when she’d finally hear the noise of everything again.
The walk to the agency seemed quick. A figure was waiting on the other side of the door but as she got closer, the door opened and Sasuke came out. Hinata took in the pressed suit he was in, remembering how excited he seemed when he got his doctor’s coat for practical classes.
“Thanks.” He said, ducking under the umbrella. He took it from her hand, grazing over her fingers.
She yanked them away, mad at herself for still feeling this way. “Itachi sent me.”
“right.” How did their conversations get so awkward? “we should head home.”
The walk back felt like stifling silence. Hinata glanced at Sasuke, sometimes catching him glancing at her, but they didn’t say a word. At least until Sasuke spoke.
“How have classes been?”
“Fine. I was finishing homework when Itachi asked me to come get you. Tsunade-sensei did ask how you’ve been.”
She didn’t have to add in that Sasuke’s main teacher had been asking, but a small part of her felt like he needed a reminder what he was choosing.
“Right. Well, I’m sure she’d understand.”
“Understand that your turning away from the thing you thought really hard about to get into?”
“Excuse me?” Sasuke asked stopping and glaring down at her.
Honestly, under all the hurt, she was mad. She knew Sasuke could sometimes be self-centred but it gave him the confidence to do whatever he wanted. This? this wasn’t Sasuke.
“You and your father fought nonstop about taking over the agency. You didn’t want that, you never did. You didn’t know what you wanted, not for a while and then when you finally made your decision, you were happy. Anyone could see it. Your dad asks you to meet this girl and all of a sudden you decide to marry her? You, the guy who can barely stand females? Because this isn’t you. What, did she threaten your dad if you didn’t?”
“Not that it matters to you, but she did actually. All you need was 5 minutes around her to see she has her father wrapped around her finger. She made it very clear what would happen if I didn’t treat our meeting like a match making session, she could pull my dad’s paperwork. I didn’t believe her, until she lied and said the waiter at our restaurant was making sexual comments to her. Her dad had the guy arrested so quickly; he didn’t have a chance to protest. I wasn’t about to take the chance she’d do that to my father. So, I agreed and changed majors so if she did try anything, she’d have to get through me first.”
She was surprised at Sasuke’s admission, but it didn’t stop her from snapping out, “and it never occurred to tell your dad? He cares, he wouldn’t want you to do this!”
“I know that! But as much as Itachi can’t do this and I don’t want to, this agency is important to him. I wasn’t about to let some spoiled little girl ruin that.”
“So, you’re ok with it? Just giving up on being a doctor to please her? I thought you wanted to help people.”
“I can doing this.”
“And make yourself miserable in the process? I can’t believe the Sasuke I fell for is giving up.”
“What?”
Hinata then realised what she said. She hadn’t meant to but to hear that Sasuke decided to do this, though a noble endeavour, it wasn’t helping anyone. she felt lied to. Sasuke didn’t let himself be pushed around. So, she decided to continue. What would be the point in stopping? It wasn’t like he would suddenly return her feelings.
“I like you. I tried not to because I knew you’d hate it but when I confessed to Naruto, as much as it hurt to be rejected, my feelings for him had faded then. And then you kissed me during the graduation party. I don’t know if you were gifting me that after hearing me rant about graduating without being kissed, but between hearing you say you were coming to the same school as me and that kiss, how was I supposed to stop? With each moment we spent together either at school or at home, it got worse and I was going to tell you, but then you choose her. It might be for your family but I always admired that no matter what, you didn’t give in. I just can’t believe the one time you do, it’s for someone like her.”
She was expecting more yelling, maybe a scathing comment about her not understanding family, but instead Sasuke dropped the umbrella and just as suddenly as he’d once done on the steps outside their graduation party, he pulled her in and kissed her. Back then, she’d been too stunned to kiss back. Now, her arms wrapped around his neck like she’d been doing this forever. She felt properly soaked when they pulled away.
“You’re right, I don’t like most females. But I like you. and I won’t marry that girl if I can have this.”
                                                     ____________
Sasuke decided very early on in life that females were too much to deal with. His mom was the exception for a long time, at least until he met her. He’d been running from his small group of fangirls and hid towards the back of the school. He was catching his breath when he realised someone sitting inside the rabbit cage. At first, he thought it was a boy due to the short hair but he noticed the same soft features most of the girls had, he realised it was a girl. One he knew.
She was in his class and she was quite. Usually poking her fingers together, she hid behind books and tended to disappear during free time. To be with the rabbits it had seemed. She saw him looking and let out a squeak, hiding behind her book. He didn’t stick around after that, using the lack of screaming girls to head back inside. She passed him later that day and he waited for a comment about liking him but all she did was ask him not to tell their teacher she was reading in the rabbit cage.
He later learned her name was Hinata Hyuuga.
She was always around but always off on the side, in a corner. She didn’t make herself known. She didn’t chase after him. It wasn’t hard to see her attention drifted elsewhere. Weirdly, he always felt annoyed when he saw her staring at Naruto. He didn’t like girls chasing him, so why did he feel so bothered by her inattention? He’d get annoyed on her behalf when Naruto didn’t notice her, so focused on Sakura. When she became close with Kiba and Shino, especially Kiba, he felt so mad. It wasn’t until their first year of high school, during that swim class after he jumped in and saved her; everyone thought he was doing what they all wanted to do and yell at the teacher for putting a student’s life in danger. He wanted to hurt the teacher for ever touching her after she said she couldn’t swim. That night, he was sitting in the backyard and his brother didn’t notice him as he dragged Kisame outside. He listened to their love-soaked words and when he started picturing him saying them to Hinata, that’s when he knew.
He liked her.
Then she moved in with them and he was always around her. And the feelings kept growing. It was easy to hide it under his usual personality but with all the time to get to know her better, see what went through with her father, see her resilient strength, see her, it was hard to ignore. He finally admitted to it out loud after that stupid argument with Naruto when he rejected Hinata.
“Why do you care if I rejected her? I’m not going to be with a person I don’t have feelings for.”
“What, you mean like Sakura? She barely pays you any attention and can barely stand you on a good day. But you know what, good. She’s way too good for you anyway.”
“Oh, and she’s good for you?”
“No, but only because she’s better than anyone.”
He remembered how Naruto stared at him with confusion. “It sounds like you like her.”
“That’s because I do.”
He proudly admitted to it, but telling her was a different story. It made it hard when she would suggest he become a doctor or when she convinced his dad to just listen to him instead of yelling. He was sure he didn’t make it easy when he suddenly kissed her at graduation, or the many times in college where he managed to get them alone together. he wanted to tell her, promised himself he would once he got through his first semester in the med school.
Then she appeared. Since accepting he’d be going into med school, his dad kept information about the agency from the rest of the family. He didn’t know about the struggle to get their licences reinstated, at least until his dad mentioned why they were going to have lunch with his old station chief and his daughter. It took only a matter of moments alone with her for him to realise the type of person she was. She made what she wanted very clear, she wanted him and he wasn’t going to get away easy. If he actually thought he did, his father’s business would be in danger. And as much as he to stay away from her, scoff and call her bluff, watching her with the waiter, he realised she wasn’t all talk. he cared about his dad too much to risk this. So, he agreed and by the end of that week, they were engaged. When she started paying visits to his dad’s agency in hopes of seeing him, he knew he had to take it further. Take over and keep her away from them. to be paraded around by her, watching her make a mess of things between his family and what he wanted in life, to bend down so easily; he couldn’t believe he was actually allowing this.
All he wanted was to just get through the semester, actually use some of the courage people seemed to think he had droves of and tell Hinata how he felt and graduate. Now he was stuck doing everything he hated just to protect the people he loved.
What had been an awkward walk home in the rain turned into yelling and into this. He stared down at Hinata, who yelled at him – she never yelled – and told him she like him.
She liked him. He didn’t even think, he dropped the umbrella and kissed her. Kissed her like he’d been wanting to for ages.
“You’re right, I don’t like most females. But I like you. and I won’t to marry that girl if I can have this.”
She looked like she almost didn’t believe him, so he just kissed her again. He didn’t care that they were soaked or that they clearly had more to talk about. All the mattered was she was kissing him back and not letting go. He almost lost this; he wasn’t going to lose it now.

Hi, so. I have two questions about Digimon.
Number one: Was Kisakimon's sacrifice to protect Shoutmon's life inspired by Lilian Potter's sacrifice to protect Harry Potter? I wondered about this because when I saw your channel, I saw two of your videos about the films.
Number two: Doesn't Shoutmon have any relatives on his mother's side? we know practically all of Omegamon's lineage and family. But what about Kisakimon? Does she have no parents or siblings? And if so, why couldn't they take care of our little future king during his childhood?
A digimon question! (which was repeated twice, so I will answer it only in an ask^^')
*Number One: Oh, I don't deny that I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan (but I think the crown goes to my mother. She watches THE WHOLE SAGA, every week^^'). But nope, Kisakimon's sacrifice was not based on Lily Potter. Although, if you think about it, both situations are based on the same thing: the love of a mother for her child. That's a universal law in many works, don't you think?
*Number Two: Okay. I really liked this question (so the answer will be a bit long^^') The thing is, the term "family" was not very well known at that time in the Digital World. Digimon were born through the formation of data, or based on programs. Although a digitama can also be born from two digimon, (in my story), at that time that "human" perception didn't exist. Even more so, if it were the beginnings of the Digital World. Kisakimon was born like most digimon at that time. Alone. Yes, cared for by others, but they were not family. Think of it like clans? That would be the best term for it. But then, why did the term "family" slowly begin to exist among digimon? Precisely because of Alphamon. Alphamon had contact with humans. He learned many terms from Hinata and the rest of his human friends. That was why he considered Ryudamon "his brother". "Mother", "father", "siblings", "family"… Both Dorumon and Ryudamon were the first digimon to learn those terms. And Alphamon passed those terms on to "his sons". And he surely told several digimon about it. Let digimon connect over data, or even just over their own feelings. For friendship, for love… And I wouldn't be surprised if, based on that, some digimon also decided to "start families." But those were a few. Many digimon preferred to simply be in clans, or alone, honing their power. Kisakimon preferred to be with her friends, Agumon and Gabumon. To her, they were her "family," along with the dinosaur's little brothers. It's not that she had no contact with the other Guilmon, but there was simply no connection other than being of the same race and being born in the same place. That's why Kisakimon has no family on her side. Rather, because of that kind of thing, many old digimon don't have family members (like Tactimon, Lilithmon, Blastmon, The four sacred beasts, etc) Those who managed to form, well, we have met some of their descendants (such as Kokoromon, and Gaiomon). But they were very few.
