Insecurities and second chances
Mattheo Riddle Fluff
Your brother gets in trouble with Mattheo and you go talk to Mattheo, but things only get more complicated. Thank Salazar for second chances and cute dates.
Warning: Mattheo says a denigrating, suggestive thing, but only once and that’s it
Today’s little cameo is Ella. She’s your friend and Theodore’s girlfriend.
Ella, I hope I did you justice. Again thanks for sending in.
A/N: not really happy about the title, so please ignore it. I’m worried it’s not that good, but I wrote it so I might as well post it. Now enjoy some fluff. Happy readings!
“You did what?” You raise your voice, but immediately lower it when you catch people staring. You grab your brother’s arm and guide him to a quiet corner.
“Hexed his shoelaces.” He whispers and your eyes widen. “You are the one that made Mattheo freaking Riddle trip over his own feet and fall face down to the floor?” Your brother nods with amusement and pride, but it quickly falters. “Yes and I’m pretty sure he knows it’s me.” Your heart starts racing. Your brother was a first class idiot, but you really didn’t want him in trouble with Mattheo. “Please tell me you’re joking?” He shakes his head, but realizes how worried you are and tries to keep you from stressing out. “Look I’ll just avoid him for a while and he’ll forget about it.” You think over his plan, if you could even call it that, and let your eyes wonder. It’s then that you see Mattheo approach. “Hurry, this way.” You whisper urgently and push your brother out of Mattheo’s sight.
You watch your brother quickly make his way down the stairs and you sigh, relieved that you had a little more time to think of a better plan. When you turn around you catch Mattheo staring at you near the door of your potions class. Gods, I’m done for it. He knows it was my idiot of a brother. However, Mattheo quickly looks away and enters the classroom with his friends. You frown, but do the same and take your seat next to your friend.
Ella looks up at you and immediately you spot a joyful glint in her brown eyes. “Merlin, you missed the funniest thing-” You could already guess what she was talking about. “My brother hexed Riddle’s shoelaces and made him trip.” A very amused laugh leaves her lips as she nods. “Hilarious.” She sings and you roll your eyes, but her joy is infectious and you can’t help but smile a little. You were so happy she didn’t change when she started dating the notorious Theodore Nott. At first you were worried that she might turn into a mean girl, but no. After four months she was still your Ella ad since Slughorn hadn’t arrived yet you lean closer to your friend. “My brother is in so much trouble.” She nods with wide eyes, her non-verbal way of telling you he was in a lot of trouble. You bite your lip and scoot a little closer to the brunette. “Can’t you, like, ask Mattheo to be chill about it. You’re Theo’s girl, Mattheo will listen, right?” You question hopefully, but the doubt in your voice is obvious.
Ella smiles. “No, he won’t, but-” She goes silent for a moment and scans the room, obviously checking what her boyfriend is up to, before continuing. “Look, apparently Riddle has a thing for you. So, maybe if you ask, you know, he’ll be nice.” Your mouth drops at your friend's words. “Riddle? That can’t be.” Your whisper comes out harsher than intended and you feel a blush creep up. Ella raises her eyebrows. When you hear Slughorn enter you look up and can’t help but search for Mattheo. You bite your lip and in that exact moment he looks over at you and gives you one of his rare smiles, making your eyes fall to your book in an attempt to hide your flusteredness.

Ella had convinced you to join her and Theo at the astronomy tower for a little drink and smoke. You were reluctant, but also seriously worried for your brother. So you decided to tag along and maybe try and catch Mattheo in a good mood.
You can’t help but get nervous as you follow Ella up the stairs of the astronomy tower. Mattheo… a thing… for me? When you reach the top Enzo is the first to greet you. He hands you a drink and you take a sip as you watch Theodore wrap his arms around your friend. In only a few months they had become Hogwarts’ power couple. Part of you wished to have something similar, be safe in someone’s arms like she was. You quickly realize that he’s not gonna let her go any time soon, so you might as well get comfortable talking with the other slytherins.
As soon as your glass is half Enzo fills it again and you give him a playful glare. “You should watch out, he’ll get you drunk in no time.” Mattheo chuckles, appearing next to you. You’re surprised by how relaxed and casual he is. Enzo raises his hands in defence. “Hey, I’m just making sure everyone’s hydrated.” With that he fills Blaise’s glass without him even noticing. You laugh at Lorenzo and turn to Mattheo. ‘I’ll definitely watch my glass, I don’t need a hangover when my day starts with Ancient Runes.” A sweet smile tugs on Mattheo’s lips making you instantly feel drawn to him. “There’s a reason I regularly skip morning classes. I definitely spend to much time here, but the view is worth it.” He points and for the first time that night you take the time to enjoy the view. You walk over to the railing and Mattheo follows you. You were having a lovely evening, finally getting to know Mattheo by talking about the silliest stuff, but things quickly changed when you got to discussing today’s events.
“That little moron is your brother?” That’s why she’s interested in me and laughing at my jokes. What was I thinking, that she would really care about me? You're startled by the coldness in his voice, but nod anyway. “He’s an idiot sometimes, he really doesn’t want any trouble. It’s just a prank.” You notice his jaw clench and you avert your eyes. “So that’s why you’re here? To apologize, because the coward doesn’t dare to show his face.” Now it’s your turn to startle him with coldness as your eyes dart at him with a stern glint in them. “I thought we could come to some kind of agreement, so-” Mattheo shakes his head and snorts, his tongue twisting in his mouth. “So you being all nice and interested was just because you’re worried for your brother.” You want to protest, but he won’t let you as his eyes turn unreadable and wander around, avoiding yours at all cost. “Well, I’m sure we can arrange something, (y/n)… how about you on your knees in my room?” Now that his eyes are finally back on you, you search for that softness again, but it’s nowhere to be found. Your heart breaks at how Mattheo’s soft eyes have turned dark and twisted in just a matter of moments. There’s no reasoning with him. Your hand hits his cheek and both you and Mattheo are surprised by your action. His face is still turned away from you as his hand reaches for his painful face. Out of the corner of his eyes he sees you leave with teary eyes.
”What the hell, Riddle!” You hear Ella scream at Mattheo as she follows you. Theodore watches Ella leave with puppy eyes, before turning his very unamused gaze towards Mattheo. But also Enzo, Blaise and Draco stare at Mattheo with eyes that ask: How did you manage to screw this up?
“What! She was just pretending to be interested.” Mattheo yells at his friends. Draco just stares at his drink like he’s never seen a liquid before, really not wanting to get involved. “She was just worried for her brother, who-” Enzo interrupts Mattheo with a rare stern voice. “Yeah, maybe she came here for a reason, but maybe just maybe if you weren’t such an insecure asshole she would’ve stayed for you.” Blaise and Draco are quick on their feet and keep a furious Mattheo away from a slightly drunk Enzo. Theodore just rolls his eyes, feeling like he’s the only adult.

”Ella, Ella!” Mattheo came running up to her, slightly out of breath. She rolls her eyes and turns on her heels. “Look. You’re Theo’s girl, so we’re kinda friends? So I was wondering if you could put in a good word for me with (y/n). Ask her to meet me later.” Ella raises her eyebrows and snorts, before her sarcastic slytherin side kicks in. “I’m sure we can arrange something, Mattheo… how about you on your knees in my room. Or what was it exactly you said to her last night?” Ella’s voice is snarky and filled with contempt for Mattheo. A little defeated, Mattheo’s eyes fall to the floor. “I know I was in the wrong yesterday. I just need another chance.”
“Another chance?” You huff and pick up your books, as Ella frowns. “I know.” You both continue walking to your next class. “But the thing is, Theo was this stupid when we started dating.” You stop abruptly making Ella stumble into you. “Started dating? Okay, but Riddle and I are never dating.” You snapped and she couldn’t help but smirk. “Exactly what I said before Theo and I started d-“ You narrow your eyes and she shuts up, but only for a moment. “Theo and I ship you two.” You roll your eyes.
***
Mattheo stares at the sky waiting for you near the Hogwarts north exit. He hated it, but Enzo was right. He got insecure and overreacted. He had his looks, but aside from that he felt like he had nothing to offer you. Why would you be interested in someone like him? Especially after reacting as nasty as he had, he felt like he had no right to be talking to you. Nevertheless a part of him hoped you would show up. He sighs and drops his head as he leans against a wall. When he hears footsteps closing in he looks up to see your anxious figure approaching. She must feel so shit after what I said.
Tumblr media
“You wanted to talk.” You say calmly and he looks at you with that soft look he first had at the astronomy tower. He immediately pushes himself off against the wall closing the space between you. “I want to take you out to this small trinket shop just outside of Hogsmeade.” When you don’t immediately react he gets a little nervous and tries to convince you. “They have all kinds of weird stuff, but also cool notebooks, pillows, mugs and sometimes curious second hand books.” You chew your lip, actually liking the idea, but not really sure what to think about Mattheo after last night. “And if I say no, you’ll beat up my brother, or what?” It was a genuine question, but your words sound harsher than intended. With panic in his eyes he takes a step closer. “No, no. I’ll leave him alone no matter what you say. Maybe I’ll hex his shoelaces, but that’s just justice.” He sighs before continuing with a gentle and sincere voice. “I won’t punch him, I promise. I’m not gonna force you into going out with me, I respect you.” Your eyes lock with his when you hear those last words. You huff. Really didn’t sound like it last night. He knows exactly what you’re thinking and looks away from you embarrassed and angry with himself at how he had acted. He wants to explain himself, but opening up just wasn’t easy. “I really enjoyed talking to you yesterday. I didn’t pretend or suck up to get my brother out of trouble. I genuinely thought you were funny when I laughed and when I asked more about those comics you read I did so because I love how geeky you get talking about it.”
He didn’t think it was possible, but he felt himself fall even more for the girl in front of him. “I couldn’t wrap my head around you-you liking- I mean I couldn’t believe you liked talking to me, so…” There’s a silence as you watch him struggle and search for words. Part of him just wants to walk away, but he sighs, gathering his courage. “I rather ruin my own happiness than actually be happy and lose it. I loved talking to you and I freaked. I’m… sorry.” He looks down, avoiding all eye contact, but you know his words were true. You grab his hand and squeeze it. “No need to apologize. We all freak out sometimes. And I would love to go with you, but we’ll have to walk because I didn’t bring my broom.” You say and point to his broom leaning against the wall. Mattheo stares at you for a few seconds and it’s your smile that reminded him that he needed to say something. “You could also hold on really tight.” He winks, regaining his confidence after you had reassured him.
You press your head against his back and wrap your arms a little tighter around him as Mattheo takes off in the direction of Hogsmeade. You can feel his heart race and close your eyes, feeling butterflies.
***
“Definitely a weird store.” you whisper, making Mattheo chuckle as he shows you around the bizarre but cute trinket shop, pointing at the most peculiar things. You end up spending a ridiculous amount of time deciding which notebooks, plural, you’ll buy. When Mattheo joins you holding a few rare second hand books, you sigh. “I can’t decide. I want them all.” He leans closer to you, making you blush a little. “I’ll buy them all for you.” You give him a sweet smile, before protesting. “You won’t be buying me anything, I have my own money.” He nods with eyes that mock you, quickly grabbing the three notebooks you were already holding. “Sure, little miss independent, but I still want to buy you something as an apology for my behavior.” You open your mouth to say something, but he won’t let you. “I’m all about feminism, love, but please allow me to make up for yesterday.” You huff and follow him to the cashier. “You think you can buy your way out of trouble?” You ask with a playful glint in your eyes. He offers you a sweet smirky smile as he pays. “Yeah, that’s what fines are for. I commit a crime, pay up and we’re all good.” You laugh, leaving the store. “You’ve got the justice system all figured out, Riddle.” He nods, pleased he can make you laugh so easily.
He hands you the notebooks. “Please, I prefer Mattheo.” You get flustered as his gentle smile enchants you. Gods, I’m falling for him. It’s then that you hear Ella and Theo call. “What a coincidence.” Mattheo groans when he spots them grinning in your direction. You step closer facing away from your friends for a moment. “Apparently, they ship up.” You whisper with a happy smile on your face and amused wiggling eyebrows. Mattheo feels his heart squeeze at your beautiful smile. You both walk towards Theo and Ella. “We’re on our way to the Three Broomsticks, you guys wanna join?” Mattheo feels himself heat up at the idea of getting to spend even more time with you, but just as that joy spreads a part of him tells him that you probably don’t want to. With hesitation in his eyes he looks at you, waiting for you to speak up. “If you don’t mind…” Your eyes lock with his. “I would love a drink and a bite.” He’s overjoyed by your answer, but tries to be casual about it. With gleeful eyes he slings his arm around you pulling you closer and placing a soft kiss just above your temple. While walking Mattheo’s arm stays around you, keeping you close and making you blush. Gods, I’m way past falling in love with, I want to marry him, right now!

C'mon, baby! Let's Go CRAZY
John Dory X Male! Rock Troll! Husband! Reader.
Tumblr media
youtube
John Dory chuckled to himself as he watched his three children chase their cousins around. Currently, he was relaxing at the bar with his brothers', enjoying a drink and warm atmosphere.
After meeting Bruce, and knowing how dangerous things were, JD asked his sweet sister in law, Brandi, if he could leave his children safe on Vacay Island until either his partner came for them or he himself came back.
Of course, she happily kept the 3 Trollings. "It's honestly safer for them," she chided him before they left.
The oldest at 10 years old, Ash was a stubborn Troll and got along well with Bruce's oldest child, Cove. They were both super sarcastic but cared deeply about their siblings.
Cove would show Ash all of the cool hiding places on Vacay Island, and Ash was small enough that they could fit into the nooks and crannies that Cove couldn't reach. The two pre-teens bonded over learning about being non-binary and being true to themselves.
Ash took after John the most. Their hair color, eye color, and was a Pop Troll. Ash even wore compression gloves like their Papa, to keep their shaking hands still when drawing in their sketch book.
Then their only girl, Brooke, was an exact carbon copy of her Daddy. She was only 6 years old, but she was a wild card. She would jump off of stuff, then used her (h/c) pigtails to catch herself at the last moment. She took after John's husband in personality, looks, and even in music genre: Rock! John's favorite part was that (Y/N) and Brook shared (e/c) eyes.
Honestly, most of John's gray hair comes from that child. She was LaBreezey's little shadow. "She's just following what her big cousin does because to her, LaBreezy is her hero." Brandi laughed when John wondered outloud.
Ugh, John could just hear his husband's smirk when Brooke started talking about the government's control..or lack of it. Great, he already (Y/N) to worry about, now he's got two to deal with. Hopefully, that phase will pass soon.
The teal haired Troll hissed when he felt something tug sharply on his tail. Looking down, he brightened, seeing his youngest, Reed making grabby hands at him, demanding attention. John set his drink down before grabbing the Trolling.
"Reed! Finally up from your nap, little man?" Reed was currently struggling with speech, so he just made some babbling noises, before cuddling in his Papa's arms.
Reed was quite the surprise. John and (Y/N) thought they were done having kids, both of them in their late 30's. But one day, they woke up to Reed's egg sitting snugly in John's head.
Reed was a little miracle egg, and hatched looking like both of his fathers, John's hair, (Y/N)'s nose, but what was unique about the little dude, he had heterochromia. So his right eye was the same blue as John's and the calm (e/c) as (Y/N).
"So, where are you John Dory?" Bruce snapped his older brother out of his thoughts, making him realize his siblings' were looking at him.
"Huh?" John asked dumbly. Clay snickered, "John Dory has left the building, gentlemen." They joked, making the other brothers laugh.
"Ha ha." He chuckled, jumping slightly when he heard Brooke squeal loudly. BroZone looked over to where the little teal trolling watched excitedly as a (s/c) Troll went nacho diving.
Even though, there was salsa and cheese in their eyes, the new Troll got out yelling happily and excitedly. Bruce's children and John's older children crowed around him, chattering away.
Bruce frowned, knowing his kids wanted to copy the mysterious Troll's actions. "Ugh, that is so reckless. Now the kids are going to want to do it, and they'll be all sticky. Have you ever tried to give children in general a bath? Not to mention my kids are giants." He groaned.
John ignored his brothers' as Reed's tail excitedly wagged in his face, pointing towards the crowd.
Laughing, he adjusted the little Troll and stood up. "Okay, okay, we're going." He turned towards his brothers, with a raised brow. "Y'all coiming?"
BroZone scrambled after their brother, watching in shock as the new Troll grinned and rushed to John Dory. John stopped him with his tail, and deadpanned expression. "You are NOT touching us, until you've showered or rinsed off, (Y/N)."
(Y/N) grinned mischievously, turning towards Ash and Brooke, who bore matching grins. "Come on, kids!" "Wait, no!" John yelped when he was suddenly pushed from behind and pulled into the stream.
BroZone watched as (Y/N) held Reed in his arms, with a smug grin on his face. "Well, I rinsed off." He cackled, helping John Dory out of the water, before leaning in and kissing the grumpy Troll.
John smiled into the kiss, and kissed him back.
"Daaaadddddssss!!!!" Ash and Brooke squealed laughed, as John and (Y/N) covered their children's eyes with their tails.
Pulling back, (Y/N) pulled his children into his arms, squeezing tight. "Sorry it took so long for me to get here. This place is a good 3 day ride by caterbus. And I forgot my snacks!!!" (Y/N) whined, ears pointing down, perking up when his children giggled." So when I saw those nachos, I had to dive in and eat something."
John laughed, shaking his head. "Papa, I think our uncles' stopped working.." Ash pointed towards the frozen BroZone where their jaws dropped and stared wide eyed.
"Oh, right! (Y/N), babe, these are my brothers! Spruce, who now goes by Bruce, Clay, Floyd, and Bit-- I mean Branch. Guys, this is my husband, (Y/N)."
"Husband?" asked Clay. They were cool with it, same sex relationships weren't taboo or anything, but Clay was just surprised that John Dory of all people was in one.
"Cool." Floyd smiled.
"Papa?" Bruce whispered, a smile growing on his face.
"(Y/N)?" mumbled Branch, your name sounding familiar.
"Dada!" Reed giggled, tail wrapping around (Y/N)'s forearm.
"Uh-oh."

Jenna hadn't left your thoughts for longer than a minute since you met her a few days back at the cafe.
It was bad.
You couldn't stop yourself from thinking about her every single moment.
Drinking cinnamon latte? Jenna. Your phone is ringing? You hoped it was Jenna calling. Heading towards the cafe? You hoped Jenna was there.
It was just Jenna, Jenna, Jenna.
When she did call, hearing her voice again through technology wasn't anything like it was when you were a teenager watching one of her movies.
It was a thousand times better.
Hearing her voice actually speak to you, laugh at your terrible jokes and even compliment you made you feel as if you were in heaven.
Her laugh was certainly one of your favourite things.
As the days passed it reached Thursday, an exact week since you met Jenna at the cafe.
You were interrupted in the middle of listening to an audiobook by a phone call from Jenna. You giddily answered the phone with a smile already plastered on your face.
"Hey Jenna."
"Hey Y/n, how've you been today?" She asked you, hearing her saying your name never failed to make butterflies appear in your stomach.
You shrugged your shoulders as you relaxed even further into the couch. "I've been alright thanks for asking, I've been stuck in the house all day 'cause of the rain. You?"
"It's raining heavily today, hasn't it?" You hummed in agreement. "I've been alright thanks for asking, tired but alright. Hopefully I'm gonna make yours better."
You chuckled as you raised your eyebrows as if she was with you. "Oh?"
Jenna giggled nervously through the phone, her angelic laugh making your smile soften.
"I'm not working tomorrow so I was wondering if you'd like to go on that date I promised you?" She inquired with a tone to her voice that you never had heard before.
Without thinking you began nodding your head eagerly, soon after coughing awkwardly as you internally thanked the fact Jenna did not see your reaction.
"I'd love to go on a date with you." You answered her speedily making Jenna laugh at your jumbled words. "Yeah?" She asked again, you could practically hear her smirk through the phone.
"Yeah, I've been waiting all week for you to ask me out." You immediately regret your words as Jenna hums through the phone. "All week?" She teases, now you know she has a shit eating smirk on her face.
"You know what, I think I'll be busy tomorrow." This only made Jenna let out a laugh. "What a shame, guess I'll just have to go on a date with someone else."
"Oh look at that, my schedule just freed, turns out I am free tomorrow. No need to get a replacement for me." You admitted swiftly, laughing lightly yourself.
"Good, I don't think I could've found someone as good as you to go on a date with me." She answered with a cheeky smile on her face.
Your heart skipped a beat at her words. She definitely knew how to charm someone, that you're sure about.
"Well isn't that lucky for the both of us then." You concluded with a smile toying on your lips. "What're we gonna do?"
"I've already planned everything out." Jenna says as she shuffled around in her seat.
"Really? What're we gonna be doing then?" You asked her curiously switching your phone to your other hand.
Jenna chuckled. "You'll have to wait till tomorrow to see."
You groaned loudly, throwing your head backwards as you leaned against the head against the couch.
"Really? You're gonna make me wait?"
"Yep!" Jenna exclaimed.
"I hate you." You grumbled through the phone, rolling your eyes as you did so. Jenna laughed, "You sure about that?"
"No." You grumbled with a soft smile. "You're annoying, Jen."
"What a way to woo a girl." Jenna replied, a small blush on her cheeks at the nickname. "I'll pick you up tomorrow around six?"
"Well I certainly won't be drinking to pick you up." You said, sarcasm dripping off of your voice.
"Ha-ha. I bet you're trying not to laugh right now." A small giggle erupted from your chest at her nods, smiling a crooked smile.
"Maybe."
Jenna laughed freely as she shook her head, smiling like a fool. "So six?"
"I'll be waiting."
—————
To say you're nervous is an understatement. You're fucking petrified.
It hadn't hit you till after you and Jenna ended the call -which lasted another hour- that you're going on a date with America's It Girl.
At Jenna's decision to not tell you where you'll be going it took you an entire hour to get changed.
After many, many outfit changes you decided on white long sleeve dress shirt, basic black pants along with a pair of even more basic black boots.
Classy but something most people would wear on a daily basis.
"Hey Alexa, what time is it?" You yelled out as you held your cane with a strong grip, your knee bouncing nervously up and down.
"It's currently 5:59, one minute till your date with Jenna Ortega, a famous actress who was born on September twenty seventh-"
"Okay, okay, thank you Alexa."  You interrupted, not wanting to hear the machine ramble on about your date.
The clicking of the clock filled the silent apartment making you feel more nervous as the time ticked down.
Would you make a fool of yourself? Will Jenna find out that she's actually not interested in you? What if it's awkward? What if-
"It's six in the evening, you are scheduled to go on a date with Jenna Ortega." Alexa spoke again, interrupting your internal self doubting.
The exact moment the bot stopped talking gentle knocks were heard from your front door. You swallowed nervously as you stood up, leaning on your cane momentarily before you headed over to the door.
Taking a deep breath you twist the door-handle and pull it open, a nervous smile on your face.
"Y/n," Jenna says breathlessly with her own nervous smile on her face. "You look beautiful. Gorgeous even."
You blushed heavily at her words, looking down as if that would hide your blush.
"Thank you, I don't doubt that you look even more beautiful." You reply with a grin, lifting your head to look in her direction.
Jenna laughed playfully as she gazed at you, her eyes flickering over your body as she admired how good you looked.
"Thank you. Are you ready to go?"
You nod your head happily, stretching your hand out to where you know the coat rack was at, you feel around the different fabrics before you feel the texture for your black trench coat.
Grabbing it, you quickly put it on as you take a step outside, closing the door behind you.
"You gonna tell me where we're heading to?" You ask her as you instinctively go to grab Jenna's elbow with your free hand, letting her lead you towards your car, her being a step ahead of you.
Jenna didn't protest at the contact and even smiled at it. "You're just gonna have to wait." She replies with a grin as she directs you towards her car.
"Seriously?" You complain as you arrive at Jenna's car. Jenna opens the car door for you, making sure you don't bump your head on top of the car as you enter. Passing her your cane she closed the door as she carefully put it in the backseat, joining you in the front behind the wheel soon after.
"As serious as pie." Jenna says as she begins to drive, the car engine revving lowly as she drives off.
You turn to look at her with furrowed eyebrows, laughing confusedly. "As serious as pie? I have never heard that before. What's so serious about pies?"
Jenna smiled as she focused her eyes on the road, resisting the urge to let out a small laugh. "Pies sound like spies."
"Then why don't you say you are as serious as spies?" You ask even more confused, laughing amused as you push your thick black sunglasses back up your nose.
"When I was younger I constantly got the two mixed up so If I wanted an actual pie I'd ask: 'Can I have a spy?' I don't know how I mixed them up, but somehow I did." Jenna answered you with her own laugh, smiling from ear to ear as she heard you laugh even harder.
"It gets worse too. I remember I wanted to watch a Spy movie so my confused self asked 'Can I watch pie?'. So at the young age of four years old someone - I still don't remember who- did what I asked for and put on American Pie for me."
You couldn't help but laugh as you shook your head, amused by Jenna's story. "Oh poor sweet innocent baby Jenna." You said in between laughs.
"I think it was so traumatising that I've completely blanked it out, I only know the story since my Mom likes to bring it up during family holidays." Jenna laughs as she flicks the indicators on, the low ticking noise being heard between your and Jenna's laughs. "The time she walked into the living room to her four year old daughter watching American Pie."
"I can't even imagine your moms face walking into that." You exclaim as your laughter finally dies down, your crooked grin never leaving your face.
After Jenna's story the car is filled with low music from the radio. Eventually you feel Jenna stop and park the car, leaving the car before arriving outside your door moments later, opening it up for you as she hands you your cane.
"Thanks," You whispered as you gripped at the cane with your dominant hand, your other hand reaching out for Jenna's elbow.
At first you waved it across the air but Jenna quickly came back to your side and guided your non-dominant hand to her elbow.
"I feel like it isn't fair that I literally can't see where we are, so you finally gonna tell me?" You asked as you walked with Jenna, letting her guide you as your cane glided against the floor.
"It isn't much but I booked us reservations at a restaurant, I made sure to pick the best one in town." You smiled as you unconsciously licked your lips at the mention of food.
"The best one, huh? Is it also the fanciest?" You teased with an appreciative smile, showing Jenna that you were truly thankful about her planning the date.
Jenna blushed as she chuckled, glancing over at your side profile briefly before back at the restaurant in front of you two.
As you neared the entrance a man in a tight suit opened the glass door for the two of you, his smile as wide as it was fake as he rehearsed his line for the probably hundredth time.
"Welcome to The Crown, I hope you enjoy your meals." Jenna smiled politely at him as she entered the restaurant with you by her side.
Immediately low chatter and sounds of cutlery was heard throughout the entire restaurant, filling up your sensitive ears with the sounds.
Jenna guided you towards the check in where another man stood in with a fake smile plastered on his face, a formal suit on his figure. She smiled up at  him as she came to a halt, you stopping beside her, never letting go of her elbow.
"Hi, reservations under the name Ortega." She said with a ravishing smile.
The smell of the food was intoxicating as it flooded your nose, you definitely are going to enjoy your dinner tonight, that's for sure.
"I'm sorry but I see no reservations under the name Ortega." The man apologised in an overly fake apologetic tone that you couldn't help but notice.
Jenna's eyes widened dramatically as she shook her head, taking a step close to where the man stood behind the small podium with an iPad attached to it.
"Are you sure? I made reservations three days ago." Jenna insisted with a polite voice as she laughed nervously. "What about Jenna?" She tried again.
The man hissed as he shook his head at Jenna. "I'm sorry but there are no reservations under the name Ortega or Jenna. We've recently hired new staff and it gets hectic over the summer so one of them have probably mixed up the reservations. Sorry." He answers, dragging out the letter 'y' much longer than necessary.
Jenna sighed as she turned to face you, a frown on her face. "I'm so sorry, Y/n." You turned your head to the direction of her voice, a crooked smile still on your lips. "There's nothing to be sorry about, it isn't your fault the reservations got messed up."
She sighed as she looked down at the ground, embarrassed that she had ruined your and hers first date. "Still, this night was supposed to be perfect but now we have nowhere to eat." The brunette apologised again in a thick voice.
You shake your head at her as you squeezed at her elbow reassuringly. "We can still have a great night, Jen, c'mon let's go for a walk and we can figure it out then."
Jenna reluctantly nodded her head after a few seconds, raising her hand to lay it over yours for a second before she slowly turned around, making sure you were turning with her slowly.
"Let's go," She affirmed, walking out of the restaurant with a small frown still on her face.
Jenna and you stayed silent for a few minutes as you walked down the lively street. The actress felt a gnawing sense of guilt in her stomach every time she glanced at you.
You on the other hand still had a smile toying on your lips, more than happy to just be around Jenna. You sense Jenna was feeling guilty about the 'supposed' ruined date, but to you the date wasn't ruined at all, a minor hiccup.
"Can I ask you a question?" You abruptly ask her as you turn your head to look at her face.
"You just asked me one." She retorted, glancing back at you with a grin. You rolled your eyes under your black glasses. "Of course you're that type of person. Bet if you were a teacher and I asked if I can go to the bathroom you'd say: 'I don't know, can you?'"
Jenna laughed as she shook her head, the corners of her eyes crinkling up in delight as she did so. "Wow, you really do think that low of me." She teased back with her own playfulness.
"Of course I do, I loathe you so much I'm going on a date with you." You disclosed with noticeable sarcasm in your voice as you chuckled. "Seriously though, can I ask you a question?"
"I don't know, can you?" Jenna replied without any hesitation.
"You're hilarious, can't you see I'm laughing my ass off right now?" You replied dryly, acting annoyed, but the twitch of the corner of your lips telling a completely different story.
"What did you wanna ask me?" Jenna finally asked you, putting you out of your misery as you two walked down the lit up street.
"Is it weird seeing your face plastered absolutely everywhere?" You questioned her with genuine curiosity. "Not like I've ever even seen your face before, but is it weird or have you gotten used to it?"
Jenna stifled a little laugh at your joke as she shrugged her shoulders weakly. "It was a massive shock in the beginning, if I'm being honest. Out of all my projects I never expected Wednesday to be my biggest break. It took some time for me to start getting used to it, it can still be very stressful at times but I've gotten much better at managing it compared to how I was in November."
Your thumb caressed against Jenna's shirt as you two walked, a small encouraging smile on your face as you listened to Jenna talk.
Unknown to you Jenna smiled softly at the feeling of your caressing her lightly.
"I know for a fact I'll never get used to the paparazzis, they're the fucking worst with their blinding flashing cameras." She complains. No star will ever get used to the invasion of privacy at every given moment of their life.
You snorted a laugh. "Guess if they ever see us together in public I'll be okay then."
Jenna stayed silent for a moment, confused by your words until she finally got your joke. The latina bit her lower lip to hide the laugh wanting to escape from her, a smirk on her lips.
Before Jenna could say anything she felt you grip her tighter as you stopped walking, she immediately turned to you full of worry but by the wide smile on your face she quickly calmed herself down.
"I know what we're gonna have for dinner." You exclaimed with a delighted smile. "If there's one thing I can smell better than cinnamon latte it's wood-fired pizza trucks."
Her eyes glanced around at your words and to her surprise a wood-fired pizza truck was at the corner of the street, only a small line of people queuing.
"You're a genius, Y/n. Let's go." Jenna eagerly said, walking towards it at a pace quicker than usual. You followed along with her just as eagerly, both of you having wide smiles on your faces.
As the two of you arrived at the food truck there were only three other people in front of you, an incredibly small line for a Friday night.
Standing beside Jenna you turned your head in her direction, your smile nervous as you nodded towards the truck.
"Can you read the menu to me, please?" You gingery asked her with a taut voice, Jenna nodded her head without hesitation, turning to read the menu as she listed off the different types of pizzas and what's on them.
After Jenna read the entire menu to you, you decided on a barbecue chicken pizza and Jenna going for a pizza called clucking spicy.
Jenna stepped forward, you followed her as you reached the front of the truck, the strong smells of different flavours and fire sneaking into your nose.
"What can I get for you two lovely ladies?" The owner said in a cheery voice as he leaned against the counter, gawking down at the two of you.
Jenna looked up at him with her own polite smile. "Hi can I get one twelve inch clucking spicy pizza, one twelve inch barbecue chicken pizza and can I have one can of cherryade as well please."
"Of course, the drink is on the house, darling." He replied still with a cheery voice as he wrote down the orders on a notepad.
You grinned at the sound of a free drink while Jenna shook her head, smiling nervously. "Are you sure? I can pay if you want." She insisted.
The man shook his head. "And I insist it's for free, my youngest daughter loves you in that show -oh what's the name. Oh! Stuck in the Middle, she watches it every morning before school."
Your heart practically melted at the man's words, your smile turning soft as you listened intently to their small conversation.
Jenna blushed lightly from embarrassment as she smiled up at the man.
"Oh, thank you so much, sir. How much is it for the pizzas?" She asked as she pulled out a wallet from her pocket.
You shook your head as you squeezed her elbow again, stealing her attention away from her own wallet. "I'll pay for it." You tell her with a smile.
Jenna shakes her own head as she gazes at your face. "No, it's fine, I'll pay."
"Jen, seriously I can pay, you already managed to make it cheaper so you've done your part." You laughed, loosening your hold on her as you shoved your hand into the pocket of your trench coat, searching for your wallet.
"Paying is the least I can do." Jenna argued back as she turned to look at the man who had an amused look on his face, his eyes flickering between you two.
"How much?" She asked again.
"Sixteen." He said with a small chuckle.
You swiftly pulled out your wallet pulling out a twenty as you placed it on the counter before Jenna or the man could say anything.
"Y/n!" Jenna complained as she turned to glare at you. You smiled in the man's direction as you ignored the feeling of Jenna's eyes staring into your side profile.
He bellowed out a laugh as he shook his head, taking the twenty as he fiddled around with the cashier. "Young love." He muttered to himself with a smile.
The man gave you the change along with a small slip of paper with your order number on it. "The food will be ready soon." He says before turning around to help with the orders.
You passed Jenna the slip of paper as the two of you made your way to a bench. Once you two are sitting down you hear her snort a laugh next to you.
"What?" You asked with a nervous smile, your fingers tapping against your cane. Jenna had a smirk on her face as she fiddled with the paper. "We're order number sixty nine." She explained in a dirty voice as she resisted the urge to laugh.
You couldn't help but laugh lightly. "Seriously? What are you, a teenage boy?" You teased her, shuffling closer to her subtly.
"Hey! You're laughing too so you find it just as funny as I do." She jabbed back with a playful expression as she gazed at you, a look of pure admiration on her face.
Conversations flowed easily between you and Jenna for the rest of the night, almost as if it was the easiest thing ever. As easy as walking, listening even breathing.
The two of you ate your beyond amazing pizzas after giggling like children after hearing the man's voice booming voice yell, "Sixty nine!" across the street.
Jenna drank all of the cherryade to herself but you honestly didn't mind, you stole a few sips and that was more than enough for you. The drink itself was sweet and okay at best.
Hours passed as you and Jenna sat on the bench, chatting and laughing away like there was no tomorrow. Eventually the two of you had to part ways as it somehow reached midnight before you even knew it.
Jenna, the gentlewoman she is, took you home and even walked you to your door.
You could hear your own heartbeat in your ears as you lingered in the doorway to your house, your body facing Jenna's.
"I had a really good time, Jenna, thank you." You say, Jenna smiles at you as she takes a small step closer to you. "It definitely wasn't how I expected the night heading but I really enjoyed myself too."
Swallowing your anxiety you smiled at her taking your own limpid step closer to her.  "Does that mean there will be another date?" You ask her in a hopeful voice, your anxiety crawling back up your throat with each word you uttered.
Jenna laughed her heavenly laugh as she bit her bottom lip. "I'd love nothing more than a second date."
"Love huh? I must've really made a good impression on you then." You teased her in a weak attempt to try to calm down the erratic beating of your heart. Convinced if Jenna and you stayed silent she would've been able to hear it pounding against your chest.
"Wanna know what I would love even more?" Jenna asks in a soft voice, taking her another step closer to you. You shake your head 'no' at her question, a sensation of butterflies gnawing at your stomach.
Jenna moved even closer placing a gentle hand on your waist, a blush burned at the tip of your ears at the feeling. She slowly leaned closer to you until her mouth hovered over your ear, you could feel her breath against your ear. Goosebumps swiftly erupted all over your body at the feeling.
"For a goodnight kiss." She whispered with a smirk, enjoying the way your cheeks burned as furiously as your ears at her words.
Carefully you raised your hand as you placed your palm on her cheek, sighing contently at the feeling of her soft smooth skin.
Jenna pulled away from your ear as she gazed at your lips; you could feel her low quick breaths against your own lips.
"And I'd love nothing more than to make you happy." You declared in a small voice before pulling Jenna in for a kiss.
The sensation of Jenna's lips on yours immediately caused a larger swarm of butterflies in your stomach as well as making your knees feel much weaker. Your other hand quickly grabbed at her waist, sighing quietly as you kissed Jenna.
She tasted like cherries; a sweet taste you could feel yourself becoming addicted to.
Jenna's own arm was wrapped around your neck as she pulled you even closer to her.
If you thought your favourite thing about Jenna was her honey like voice, then it definitely had some competition as you could only describe kissing Jenna as one word.
Heavenly.

Eddie Munson is a nymphomaniac- you’re certain of it. There’s never a moment he doesn’t want your skin on his, his rough hands in a perpetual state of exploration. He’s insatiable, always willing to go for another round, his energy never depleting when it comes to pleasing you.
He’s never been one to be discrete about his passions, and that includes his insatiable hunger for you; he shamelessly feels up your ass while you’re out together, reaching up under your tiny skirt to pull at the lace of your thong, and sometimes he’ll put his arm around you just to grope at your chest, grinning when you jump and shoot him a pointed glare.
Even when you’re out with friends, he doesn’t pause his hormonal antics- partially due to his lack of impulse control, but also because he wants everyone to see that you’re his, see the way your cheeks go red and you start to squirm under his wordless command. It’s a constant, subtle possessiveness he exudes, and although it’s somewhat embarrassing to be blatantly objectified in front of other people, you also find it painfully sexy.
Sometimes he’ll shamelessly smack your ass or make suggestive comments (one time at Steve's, he’d tossed his lighter on the ground in front of you, jeering, “why don’t you go bend over and get that for me, hon?”), smirking whenever you narrow your eyes or give him a playful shove in retaliation.
“Yeeesh, get a room!”, Steve always says, palm colliding against his forehead with comedic exasperation as the rest of the gang nods along in solemn agreement, though to Eddie, the jokes are nothing but fuel for his perverted little fire.
When you, Eddie, Steve, Argyle, Jonathan, Robin, and Nancy had first come up with the plan for a camping trip, Robin had cast Eddie a stern look, her eyes dropping to examine his hand on the underside of your ass cheek. “Y’know, I have half a mind to propose that (y/n) and Eddie sleep in separate tents. Do you guys really wanna be kept up all night listening to straight people sex?”
“Oh god,” Steve had murmured, rubbing circles on his temples at the thought. “Remember the night we got trashed and you guys all slept over my place?”
“How could I forget?” Robin griped back, before letting out a string of obnoxious ooooohhhhh fucccckkkkkkk, Edddddiiiiieeeeeee’s, not actually sounding too far off in her imitation of you.
The interaction had made you blush, avoiding the eyes of your friends who were probably visualizing you, naked, being pounded into brainless pornstar-moaning oblivion. Eddie, on the other hand, had only flashed the group a devilish grin. “Oh, just wait. This time I’m gonna make her cum ten times instead of just five.”
And he wasn’t kidding, though unlike everybody else, you hadn’t believed that he was.
He hadn’t wasted any time, once everybody returned to their tents for the night, all comfortably sleepy and stoned and drunk; within seconds he was nipping at your neck, taking fistfuls of your curves in his big hands, squeezing hard enough to leave fingerprints, and like always, you just couldn’t bear to stop him.
Now you’re spread out in front of him, garments discarded in careless heaps across your modest-sized tent, leaving you on display; his head is between your thighs with only his round eyes visible, glinting mischievously as they observe your vulnerable state.
You stopped being able to form cohesive thoughts about three orgasms ago, and it doesn’t seem that he has any plans on letting up soon, his tongue dipping in and out of your folds, fucking you with it. He’s ravenous, with his hands keeping your legs planted firmly apart so you’re unable to interfere.
You grip his hair, which is knotted and unkempt, your head lolling back against your padded sleeping bag. “Eddie… please, Eddie…”
“Please what, sweetheart? Hmm?” He slides two fingers inside your slick entrance easily, flushed lips wrapping around your clit to suck harshly at it. He loves it when you’re incoherent for him, your sentences fragmented and unfinished, rendered completely stupid.
“P-please Eddie. Need a break…” you tug at his hair with urgency, trying and failing to move your hips away from him. “S’too much.”
“But baby,” Eddie murmurs against your cunt, the bass of his words reverberating throughout the rest of your sweat-soaked body. “You taste so fuckin' good.”
A broken moan sounds out from your parted lips, and you’re unsure if you even really want him to stop. Sure, you’re overstimulated and sensitive, with every touch from Eddie magnified a thousand times over, but there's just something so fucking addicting about the way he touches you.
“Edddieee…Eddie, I don’t want them all to hear me,” you persist, frowning as you realize how much teasing you’re going to endure tomorrow; he’s been going at it for over an hour now, making you mindlessly scream and beg and whimper as you grind desperately on his face- it’d be a miracle if nobody at the campsite heard you by now.
“But why not, babe?” Eddie questions, between purposeful licks at your oversensitive clit. “You sound so fuckin’ hot. I bet you’ve got all the guys so hard right now. Probably stroking their dicks as we speak.”
“Eddie,” you gasp as he applies intense suction to your defenseless clit, increasing the pace of his fingers as they fuck you. “F-fuck, Eddie!”
He trails his free hand up to palm at your heaving tits, tweaking and tugging your peaked nipples until they sting. “I bet Robin likes hearing you too. Wonder if she’d ever wanna join us some time?”
He’s so unabashedly filthy, and it turns you on more than you’d care to admit; you lick your lips, breath lodging in your throat when Eddie raises one of your legs to hoist over his lean shoulder.  “E-eddie, please.”
“Yeah, that’s it, baby. You let everybody know who that pussy belongs to,” he grins, curling his fingers inside of you. “That feel good, hmm?”
“Y-yes, Eddie,” you choke out, hoarse and gravelly, your resolve completely undone. “So fucking good…”
“Know it’s a lot for you, baby. You’re being such a good girl, yeah?” he hums his praise affectionately, maintaining contact with your clit, which he proceeds to swirl his tongue against. “You can gimme a few more orgasms, can’t you, sweetheart?”
“I- I think so…” you murmur, your eyes fluttering as you teeter at the brink of climax, your thighs trembling as they wrap snugly around your lover.
He poises a brow, lifting his head a bit so you can see the arousal glinting crudely on his chin. Tilting his head, he gives you a disapproving, “You think?”
You know from his expression to correct yourself, stirring your hips back and forth to gain a bit of traction now that he’s stilled his fingers inside of you. “I-I know I can give you more orgasms, Eddie. I will.”
You know that you’ve just sealed your fate with the declaration, but you’ve accepted it; he jerks you forward, diving back into your heat as his fingers curve within the narrow walls of your pussy, making sharp contact with your g-spot.
You cry out, writhing your hips as he pounds into you fast, each thrust of his fingers angled with well-learned precision.  “That’s my girl. C’mon, I know you can be louder than that.”
He’s such a fucking asshole, encouraging you to humiliate yourself further, but you’re too whipped to do anything but comply. Tossing your head back, you call out his name over and over, voice pitched and whiny and surely loud enough for all of Hawkins to hear.
He doesn’t stop, but he does take a brief moment to meet your eyes, a smile detectable even with his features partially obscured.
“Thaaaat’s my girl.”

a/n: i wasn’t planning on making a niki fic until later but then i heard this saying ‘i wish you were a girl,’ and i just thought how sad it would be to write a fic with someone about how the reader thought that about themselves when liking them as a male. just the saying is sad in general, but hopefully i made it up with niki being in love with yall🫵
reminder: it’s okay to be gay, don’t let it bother you if you think it’s wrong or not. you love who you love! and there’s nothing wrong with that, especially coming from me, who is queer and has a girlfriend. you’re amazing and you don’t need to hate yourself for something you can’t control or like, love is love and you can’t change that or your feelings. you always have someone to talk to no matter the situation, you’re never alone. cheesy, but be who you are for your pride. love you💜
Tumblr media
“i wish i was a girl,” you had blurted out, drunk and upset over someone who didn’t even like you back, sobbing in your best friends arms.
you wanna know what makes you feel ten times as worse? HE was the one you were crying over.
you felt so stupid and you shouldn’t had said anything to him about your feelings, and you just couldn’t handle anymore. he asked how you were feeling, and that’s just how you felt.
because being in love with nishimura riki was tough, especially as a guy.
first of all, he’s a jock, a soccer player, to be exact. he is popular, cute, funny, incredibly good looking, a flirty best friend, and everything you’d want in a girl. expect, he’s a guy, and so are you.
you didn’t realize how badly your feelings were affecting you until that day, sobbing in the arms of your best friend as he was shook by your words, ‘i wish i was a girl’, because you’ve never spoken like that.
the whole situation was just so internalized to yourself to the point that he couldn’t help but to carry you to his car to take you home from the party, and a bad experience of spin the bottle, just to start sobbing as soon as he started comforting you in his house. he only took you home because you were drunk, he kissed you, and something was clearly wrong.
he had no idea you were having the thoughts and feelings until it all happened, and because he was the cause of it.
you didn’t mean to go to this party, hell, you didn’t even want to. but the way he invited you, smiling brightly, hoping you’d say yes to go to a halloween party with you. you’ve never gone to a high school party, because you didn’t want to, there was a reason to it.
everyone, i mean EVERYONE, knew you were gay way before you did. you thought people were just trying to make fun of you as a stupid joke, you never saw a problem being gay, until you realized you were gay.
not that being gay is a bad thing, it just wasn’t you, or so you thought.
you’ve always only ever thought about women, you’ve only ever liked women. hell, you were so in love with only ever women, being gay was never an idea.
until he kissed you, probably as a fucking joke, during a stupid halloween party, and only kissed you because spin the fucking bottle. you wouldn’t had gotten so upset if you weren’t so wasted, but everything is hitting you as you wake up.
first of all, you wake up in his bed. he never lets anyone sleep in his bed, you’ve only ever slept in his living together.
second of all, he slept in the bed with you, he even changed your clothes and washed the fake blood off your face.
third of all, you were on fucking top of him, while his arms cradled your body like it was a pillow, and you were fucking drooling on his tee.
lastly, you wouldn’t had gotten so upset if it was him. if it wasn’t for his soft lips touching yours, one hand caressing your cheek and the other grabbing your waist, squeezing it once you kiss him back. it felt like it was just you and him, the music stopped playing, people were gone, all you could smell and feel was nishmura riki. he was kissing you like he’d been wanting to for so long, like he was desperate to kiss you.
and the way he immediately straightened up when the bottle on his turn slowly stopped on you, it was so noticeable and you couldn’t help but cave in too. it’s just a kiss between two totally straight best friends, kissing each other willingly while playing spin the fucking bottle.
and the kiss was just so good, you almost whined when he pulled away.
he had you wrapped around his finger, and you didn’t want to come to terms with your feelings for him.
it was all so new to you, and definitely to him. you both didn’t realize how you made each other feel until you started acting weird around him, and you started noticing him becoming a lot more affectionate to you. both of you guys doing things to each other you didn’t realize you were doing, and you both didn’t realize how the actions would make both of you so confused.
you’ve only ever known riki as your best friend, someone you grew up with and someone you learned to love, especially because you both were so different.
you hated sports, you grew up not being athletic at all so disliking sports made you feel better about yourself. but you loved watching riki play soccer.
he was so smooth, quickly turning his body around and pushing pass the defender, dribbling the ball consistently all around his left foot, and making the cleanest shots you’d ever seen.
soccer was the only interesting sport to you, and that’s your amazing best friend played it.
riki loved soccer, he grew up loving neymar. but he also loved the attention he would get from being so good at it, especially from you. he didn’t realize how much he liked it until talking to his friend, jake, about it.
‘ y/n probably only comes to see you play. you do realize that he hates sports, right? ’
those words just rung in riki’s head, making him wanting to do better. he had always felt scared to disappoint you, so the fact you only liked soccer just because of him made him want to do better. he wanted you to be proud, and he didn’t want to disappoint you.
but now, the more thought he put into it, the more he realized that he just wanted to impress you. he wanted something from you, but he didn’t realize he wanted you.
you slipped out of his arms, slowly peeling them away from your body, and went to his living room. you had to leave.
you knew it’s was wrong, but god who knows what you said after that, because you don’t even fucking remember.
your head was ringing and you felt like you were gonna explode. you needed to leave, you knew that seeing him was gonna be hard. your head snapped towards the creeping door behind you, quickly running without a thought to the door. you didn’t even have your shit, how can you leave without your phone?
so you hid, behind the counter to be exact, occasionally spinning slowly around it as he walked towards the fridge.
you didn’t see it in the bedroom, you didn’t even look in the bathroom, so when you saw him with his back turned and peeling a banana, you slowly ran to the bathroom to see.
to your luck, it was there, and so was your halloween costume, and your keys. you were so out of it that you forgot you had driving your car here. you needed to leave immediately before he realized you were still in the house and he would start searching for you.
“fuck,” you spit, running your hand through your hair was you creep in his room and into his closet, “this is all fucked, isn’t it?” you whispered to yourself, sinking down on the wall of the small area.
you stopped breathing as you hear footsteps coming towards the room, holding your breath as you hear the door crack open completely.
“y/n? are you still here?” he questioned walking in and searching the room. he sighed, and it sound disappointed. you were squeezing your eyes shut with your lids, your heart was racing. if he catches you, it’s gonna make things worse, because he’ll know you’re running away from him and the situation.
you didn’t realizing he had stepped in the room to the bathroom until you hear a click and a door shutting. you took your chances and rushed out of his closet and bedroom, running to see your shoes on the couch. you quickly grabbed them, not even wanting to risk getting caught or heard by riki, and dashed for the door.
you’ve never drove home so fast in your life, you swore you could of gotten pulled over if there was a cop in site.
you were pissed for the rest of the day, following the night time too. riki hasn’t texting you anything today. not his usual funny tiktok’s, or his random comments every thing. nothing.
just for you guys to go back to school, the day after, and sit next to eachother during lunch.
did that kiss mean anything to him?
“you’ve been off all day, y/n,” jake says, smiling with a ‘thank you’ after once the lunch lady hands him his burger, “is there something bothering you?” you scoff, glancing towards riki behind jake, his head tilted towards you in question also.
“yeah, you could say there’s something or someone bothering me,” you replied, glancing at your tray as you bite your lip.
usually, you and riki talk situations out immediately, but it’s been a whole two days and he hasn’t said a word to you. maybe he was nervous, maybe he was afraid to say something, but it was making you feel like shit. it’s like he was treating you like you did something wrong when you both made a mistake, but you didn’t want it to be a mistake.
but in all seriousness, riki didn’t know how he felt. he knew something was going on between you two, but he didn’t think much of it. so yeah, it shocked him, but it didn’t shock him as much as he thought it would. he loved the kiss, he really liked it and thinks that he has something for you. it was mainly just the fact that you blantly said that ‘you wished you were a girl’ once he asked if you were okay with being alone with him after the kiss.
riki knew it was about him possibly liking you and thinking the kiss was fine, because you for sure weren’t feminine at all and never mentioned anything like that before. but if you wanted him to like you, wouldn’t you want him to like you? not you as a girl?
so when you decided you needed to be away from him, reaching your limit of not talking to him, you left to go to the bathroom. you didn’t hear him follow you, nor expect him to stop you from closing the stall.
“riki, you can just come in here, i have to use the bathroom-” you stop talking as he pushes you against the stall, his arms over you head as he looks down at you, “riki-”
“why are you acting like i’m problem, do you not even remember what you told me that night?”
“riki- i don’t remember, it’s not that big of a deal-” you shut up once again, he leaned down more, his forehead practically touching yours.
“stop making me go crazy,” he spoke, sounding almost breathless, your heart felt like it was about to pound out of your chest, “why kiss me back- why agree to kiss me in the first place if, if you’re just not talk to me,” he starts to press his forehead harder against yours, his hands slided down and attached themselves to your hips, making you practically trapped underneath him, “i don’t wish you were a girl, i love the way you are and i love you-”
you couldn’t help yourself, his beautiful lips inches away from yours, his hand placement, if you didn’t kiss the boy right there and then you would of went crazy. he immediately pressed his soft lips against yours, sighing into the the kiss, you melting into his arms as you felt his grip get tighter around your hips.
your hands reached to cup his cheeks, kissing him deeper when he tilts his head. when you pull away, your gasping for air while liking up at the boy, who was also out of breath and look back at you.
“do you like me, nishamura riki?” you smirk, feeling confident and still out of breath from action.
“ ‘mhm, was going crazy when you weren’t speaking to me,” he pulls you closer, wrapping his arms around your torso making your breath caught in your throat.
“you were the one not texting me,”
“you were the one who snuck out of my house as soon as you woke up,” your eyes widened, was he up? you bit your lip, debating on what to say to respond to him. you couldn’t tell him you were embarrassed, he would definitely take it the wrong way, “i like you,” he admitted, his eyes start searching yours, he doesn’t want to think he’s getting the wrong idea from all this, who wouldn’t if it didn’t mean you liked him back.
“i really like you,” you respond finally, his lips started curving into a small smile, “and i think i didn’t like it at first,” you bite you lip, trying to find the right words, “not that i didn’t not like liking you, it was just so odd. i didn’t know the more i payed attention to you, the more i realized i liked you so much, and i think i’ve liked you for awhile i just didn’t come to terms with it,” you finish, staring at him for his response, but he just smiled.
“it’s new to me too, if that’s what’s your applying. but the more i think about it, the more i wouldn’t want anyone to be the first boy i’d fall for besides you,” you feel heat creeping up your neck, filling your cheeks. he laughs at your reaction, putting his head in your neck as you laugh too. it was true, it was new and so odd being this was with each other. you may have thought of moments like this happening, but now it just feels so right and so odd at the same time.
“did we technically just have our first kiss in the schools bathrooms?” you questionly joke, he throws his head back laughing, “hey! i’m serious, you’re too gone to even realize,”
riki’s head falls back down, he leans and presses his lips against your forehead and kissing it softly, before responding with his lips still pressed to your skin, “baby, you’re too gone to even realize that it’s way past the time lunch got done with,”
with that, you gasp pushing him away as you reach for your phone, him giggling as you look at the time on your screen then back up to his face.
“riki! we’re half way into our 4th period!” you smack his arm, smiling when he finally calms down, he continues to pull you in his chest and wraps his arms around you once again. you let yourself melt into his chest, his smell, his touch as he whispers in your ear.
“skip with me?”
suddenly, you didn’t care about school as much as you used to a couple seconds ago.

Hi! im a rlly big fan of ur works and was just wondering if i could req a scenario w forgetful! reader? :D characters are: dazai, kunikida, akutagawa, and poe reader recieves a gift from them and accidentally missplaces it which stresses out reader and they tell it to them and they decide to buy a new one :D (also "they" is referred to the chars i mentioned) sorry if this is too much! dont forget to rest, drink water and stay hydrated! hope ur having a great rest of your day/night/afternoon :)
AHHHHHAA This speaks to me as a forgetful person so I will happily do this 💟💟
Dazai
Dazai always teases you about not turning work in on time, which annoys you a lot
Has a tally chart of every time you've forgotten something
He really gets on your nerves sometimes, but you try to joke around as much as you can
For your anniversary, he got you a beautiful pendant that matched his own
It was gleaming with a silver lining, a black ribbon to attach it, and your favorite stone in the center
You loved it so much and wore it every day
But, one day you were getting ready for work, and the pendant wasn't on your dresser
You had a little bit of a breakdown and tore your house apart looking for it
You gave up and sat in despair
Kunikida called a million times considering you're almost never late for work
when you heard a knock on the door, you assumed it was Kunikida until you got up close to it
"Oh Y/nnnn~ You're never late wassuppppp"
Oh
Shit.
You ran and hid back in the living room
"I'M DEADLY SICK GO AWAY DAZAI!" "wait wahhhh?"
As you hid under a mountain of blankets, waiting for him to hopefully leave, you heard your front door swing open
"You forgot I had a key to your place Belladonnaaaa!"
Suddenly the blanket was ripped off you and you were exposed
You looked up at Dazai as he blinked at you, waiting for you to speak
Tears immediately formed in your eyes as you stared at him in embarrassment
He got even more confused when you started profusely apologizeing
"I LOST THE PENDANT YOU GAVE ME, I'M SO SO SORRY OSAMU! I'M REALLY REALLY SORRY!"
You expected Dazai to tease you, or be upset, but instead he laughed
When you looked up, he was smiling down at you
"I figured this would happen."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out the exact same pendant from before
You looked up in amazement as he handed it to you
"I even took the liberty of getting a second one made, hehe."
You guys skipped work together after, and went on a cute little cafe date
Kunikida
He sometimes gets a little aggravated with your forgetfulness sometimes, but he tries to be as understanding as possible
He tries to help you remember stuff in a logical way, like helping you take notes or texting you things you need to remember
He does snap a few times, but does apologize immediately after each time
Kunikida got you a custom-made notebook to keep notes in, it was a darker shade of your favorite color, had lightly tea-stained pages, and had "Never fall" Written on the front
You would take notes in it and it honestly really helped your memory
You got to work early one morning to finish some work, you went to write something down and... Your notebook wasn't there
You freaked out, it was just you in the office, but in only a mere twenty minutes Kida would be there to start the day
You basically tore apart your desk looking for it (neatly putting it back together afterward)
You went through your office locker and your work bag. Even checking Dazai and Ranpo's desks to see if either of them had hidden it from you
In the middle of researching through your own bag, Kunikida came in for work
He noticed you over at Ranpo's desk and was a bit confused
"What are you doing in Ranpo's desk?"
His voice caught you off guard, making you slam your head into the metal desk
You laid on the ground in defeat as Kunikida came over to check if you were okay
"Please don't be mad..."
You explained what happened and how you really didn't mean to lose it
Kuni sighed as he picked you up off the floor
"I'm not mad, maybe a little irritated, but definitely not mad."
You went to the cafe while he looked for it, luckily Kunikida's ideals for the day included 10 minutes of free time for you
When you came up with Kunikida's coffee, the notebook was sitting on his desk with his own, he'd managed to find it
Akutagawa
He doesn't really care how forgetful you are unless it interrupts him
He does get irritated when you forget missions or to turn in paperwork, he has snapped a little more than Kunikida
He got you a beautiful feather pen for your birthday, it was the first really meaningful gift he ever got you
You wrote with it in journals and such to try to help you memorize certain things
But one evening, you forgot where you had put it.
You freaked out, worrying Akutagawa would be upset you lost such an expansive gift
You looked for almost an hour and a half before you realized it was gone.
At that time, Akutagawa came by your apartment to see what was taking you so long
When he opened the door he was met with you lying on the floor in defeat
"What's the problem here?"
You looked up at him as he was walking over, and just hid behind your hands
"..I lost your present."
Akutagawa stared down at you for a minute, whether trying to calm his anger; Or thinking about what to say you don't know.
He sighed as he started searching himself
"Although it was wildly expensive, I'm not mad. Let's just keep looking."
You stood up confused as he kept flipping over things
You walked up and hugged him from behind
"Thank you..." "Mhm, not a problem."
You both kept looking, but in reality, it wasn't even in your apartment. It was in your desk drawer at the office
Poe
Poe is very patient with you, he's also a slightly forgetful person so he understands that you're really trying
Poe tries to write you little notes and hide them throughout your desk to help remember importance things
He also checks frequently on you to see if you're doing what you're supposed to be
Poe wrote you a book of poems about yourself, it was a full book to the very last page
It was very indearing, and you read it to help you fall asleep
You had always kept it in your work bag, but when you when you went to take it out one day it was missing
You freaked out, starting to look through the whole office
You'd remembered putting it in your bag this morning so it has to be there somewhere
After about 30 minutes of intense searching, Poe came in to check up on you
"What are you doing my dear Y/n?"
You just couldn't lie to him, you sighed as he walked over
"Poe.. I'm really sorry. I lost the book you wrote for me. I know the cover was expensive, plus all your work is gone.. please forgive me."
Poe smiled as he grabbed your face into his hands
"My dear I have every one of those poems memorized by heat. And don't worry about expenses, it was only a meer 65,000 Yen. I'll forget that in seconds."
You chuckled as he hugged you tightly
Karl ended up having the book, and Poe read it to the both of you that night

kiss me;
ivantill, 8.7k read on ao3
For a second he just stood there dumbly, eyes wide open. He heard a gasp from the side then a whispered, “I thought they weren’t actually supposed to kiss here?” Till hadn’t prepared himself for this, but he knew he couldn’t risk ruining the scene even more. Eyelashes fluttering, he closed his eyes and cupped Ivan’s face, kissing him back with fervor.
Till couldn’t believe what he’d just heard. Surely he had misheard, or maybe he hadn’t actually woken up this morning and he was still dreaming.
His manager looked as real as ever, though, staring at him with a hint of knowing amusement. He couldn’t stand her sometimes. (He loved her.)
“I thought you’d be excited,” she sighed dramatically, crossing her arms. “I guess maybe we should consider pulling out of the movie and – ”
His hand jerked out without his permission, fast as lightning, grabbing her arm. “Don’t even joke about that, Mizi.”
Her answering grin was all teeth. “They’ll want to do a chemistry read, first,” she put her hand over his. “Don’t get too excited. Nothing is guaranteed yet.”
For all they knew, he wouldn’t even get cast. Or if he did, maybe they’d kick Till off the project and replace him if their chemistry wasn’t promising enough. He really hoped it would be. But either way, he would be meeting him.
Till felt himself grinning before he could stop it, “I’m meeting Ivan.”
-
Till couldn’t recall the exact moment he discovered Ivan. To be fair, most people probably couldn’t. He was everywhere, it seemed – commercials, movies, television, even music videos.
What he could recall – as clear as if it’d happened yesterday – was the feeling he had felt. It was like a dam had opened and there was no stopping it. He realized he wanted more out of life.
He didn’t just want to continue being an extra on every set, the side-character who was killed off after one or two episodes.
Since then, he’d been able to build a decent name for himself. He wasn’t Ivan, by any means, but he was well-known enough to get the lead in an upcoming highly anticipated movie. And if the universe smiled upon him, just one last time, he would hopefully get to have Ivan as his love interest.
-
“I am running on exactly two hours of sleep, by the way.”
Mizi snorted, side-eyeing him. “I can tell,” she teased, and he knew it was just that: a joke but he still couldn’t help the sudden rush of insecurity.
As if sensing it by some form of magic, she slowed to a stop in the hallway and took his arm.
“You look great, Till. You haven’t even gotten makeup done yet and you still look amazing.” She squeezed his arm. “You’ve got this, you know that, right?”
He forced a smile. “Don’t you know confidence is my middle name?”
And usually it was true. If there was one thing he had over most of his competition in the industry, it was overflowing confidence.
Mizi smiled back, far more sincere. “Come on,” she said, tugging him along gently. “We don’t want to be late.”
-
Before the chemistry read, he went to get his makeup done as scheduled. Hyuna was no better than Mizi, grinning wildly as she gently applied a bit of concealer under his eyes.
“Let me guess,” she said, “didn’t sleep much?”
Till rolled his eyes, but made sure not to move. “I wonder if every actor has such a nosy makeup artist or is it just me?”
“Hmm, I would say you’re just lucky.” She winked and stepped back. “You look good enough to eat.”
He snorted. If he wasn’t so nervous underneath it all, he might’ve cracked a joke. Like how the only person he wanted to eat him was —
The door swung open, startling him. “Come on – ” he relaxed when he saw it was just Mizi. “We only have a few minutes.”
Quickly stumbling out of the chair, he rushed to her side and followed her into the hallway. As they walked toward the room set aside for their scheduled chemistry read, Mizi looked him up and down, not even trying to be discreet. Till made sure no one was around before quietly flipping her off.
Couldn’t tarnish his reputation and all that.
She giggled, light and airy. “I was just going to say,” she bumped their shoulders together, gentle, “you look good. Don’t let anything bring you down, okay?”
And he knew it wasn’t just empty words; Mizi had been there for him since the start of his career, long before he’d managed to actually make a name for himself. She’d been there with open arms (and an extra large pizza) every time he’d been turned down from a role, every time a casting director had scoffed like he was hilarious for even thinking he had a chance.
It had been hard, then, but motivating. He never wanted to be underestimated ever again. He thought he’d never feel so scared again, walking toward an audition room. It was a pointless fear. He had joked but surely they wouldn’t actually try to kick him out, even if the chemistry read wasn’t a success.
“Break a leg,” Mizi whispered just as they stopped in front of the door.
Till could hear voices through the wood. He concentrated and tried to see if he could pick out Ivan’s voice, in the sea of them, but he wasn’t sure if he could trust himself. He thought he heard him, a familiar drawl he had heard on television a million times, but he could’ve just been imagining it.
Mizi glanced at him, a silent question. He just nodded.
Without another word between them, she turned and opened the door.
-
Till didn’t even realize he’d been holding his breath as his eyes scanned the room: it was all the usual people – the casting director sat at the table with two other staff members on each side, a few other stray staff members were scattered around the room.
In the middle of all of them was Ivan.
He was smiling politely as others talked to him, a small quirk of his mouth. Till must’ve stared for a second too long because suddenly Ivan was lifting his head and their eyes met.
Till had seen him a hundred times, at least, through a screen but he wasn’t sure anything could’ve prepared him for this moment.
For seeing him, here, like this, in real life. Ivan was even more stunning in person.
Ivan’s smile stretched just a little wider, barely noticeable. Till should’ve smiled back but he felt like he was frozen.
“Okay,” the casting director – Luka – stood up from the table. “From what I’ve been told, this is your first time meeting, correct?”
Till didn’t even realize he was addressing them until Mizi gave a gentle nudge at his side. He flushed, standing a little taller. He might’ve been meeting his idol, for lack of a better word, but he was still a professional.
“Yes,” he answered, cursing the slight shake to his voice.
Ivan nodded. “I’ve seen him plenty, of course, but never met, no.”
Till felt a shiver down his spine. Ivan. Ivan had seen him before, too, which shouldn’t have been surprising. He had been on a number of notable series by now, but for some reason he still hadn’t been prepared to hear it.
“Wonderful,” Luka said, “Everyone – ” He did a little twirl with his finger, making a point to address everyone in the room. “Out.”
Till knew the process by now. Luka’s process, at least. He could be a little unorthodox. Usually he didn’t mind it, but right now he was already starting to feel sweat pool at the small of his back.
Mizi let out a tiny huff of amusement as she helped to herd everyone out of the room. Last to go was Luka, who didn’t even say a word before closing the door.
If Ivan was confused, he didn’t voice it. For a moment, the room was silent with just the two of them.
“Sorry,” Till said eventually, clearing his throat. He dared a glance in Ivan’s direction; he was standing just a few feet away, a thoughtful quirk to his head. “Luka can be a bit, uh. Unorthodox in his methods. He always likes to give actors a few minutes by themselves before starting the read.”
He was proud of himself; his voice was steady and clear.
Ivan hummed, but still didn’t say anything. Till took advantage of the moment to really look Ivan over. He was beautiful; dark hair swept back with a few loose strands, eyes lined with black – not too much, just enough to somehow make his dark eyes look even darker, his lips shined with a thin layer of gloss, skin clear and perfect.
The way his mouth was twisted, Till could even see his fang. Not literal, of course, it was just his canine – especially sharp and pronounced – but it had always been one of his selling points that fans seemed to like.
He looked like he was conjured up in a lab somehow.
And Till, well. He wasn’t naive. He knew he was attractive – wouldn’t have gotten this far in the industry if he wasn’t – but he felt lacking compared to Ivan, more than he had in a long time.
Without thinking, he reached up and ran his fingers through his hair, trying to tame it. But the wild look was part of his appeal, Hyuna had always said. Made him stand out.
“Are you going to keep staring at me or actually introduce yourself?”
Till startled, yanking his hand out of his hair hard enough he winced a little. He opened his mouth, ready to apologize, but then he saw Ivan was smiling. Barely, really, more like a smirk.
Clearing his throat, he wiped his hands off on his jeans in what he hoped was a discreet move (he was still sweating like crazy) and stepped forward. “Why should I introduce myself when you apparently already know my name?”
He froze as soon as the words were out of his mouth. He was so stupid.
This was Ivan – the Ivan – and here he was already messing everything up because he never quite knew when to shut his mouth. He waited, expecting the worst. He wouldn’t have even been surprised if he’d pushed him out of the way and stormed out of the room.
But instead Ivan did the complete opposite. He gave a little laugh, eyes crinkling just a little around the edges. Till felt something warm blossom in the pit of his stomach.
“I haven’t had someone talk to me like that in, well, ages.” His eyes were still sparkling when he finally stopped laughing. He extended a hand. Till moved quickly before he could think too hard and just make himself more nervous. Ivan’s hand was warm, smooth.
Till knew his own hands weren’t nearly as smooth, from playing guitar. It was just a hobby he had picked up on the side, nothing more, but his hands still suffered for it.
“You must play an instrument,” Ivan said, startling him. For a moment, he wondered if he’d accidentally spoken his thoughts but then Ivan tilted his head. “Guitar?”
Till swallowed around the lump in his throat; Ivan’s thumb gently moved over his knuckles, once, fleeting, before he was pulling away. Maybe he’d imagined it. “Yeah. Um. Just a hobby.”
“I would love to hear you play, if ever given the chance,” Ivan said. Normally, Till would’ve brushed it off as empty words but there was something oddly sincere about the way he said it.
He dropped his gaze, focusing on the collar of Ivan’s shirt. Anything to make sure he didn’t keep staring at his face. “Yeah. Sure.”
Before he – or Ivan – could say anything else, the door was opened without even a knock. Till spun around as Luka entered the room followed by the rest of the staff and finally Mizi alongside a woman he didn’t quite recognize. He wondered if she was part of staff and somehow he had just never noticed her until now.
That question was answered quickly when she went to Ivan’s side. “You’ve totally got this,” she said, hushed but just loud enough Till could hear.
He wondered if that was true. Didn’t want to get his hopes up.
“Okay, since I’ve given you both more than enough time to get acquainted.” Luka nodded at the scripts on the table. “Go ahead.”
Till forced his hand to not shake as he reached out and grabbed his version of the script; the part they’d be rehearsing, today, had been highlighted. It wasn’t too long. He just had to get through the scene without any mistakes.
He skimmed through it quickly, saw Ivan doing the same, even though they had both already read the script. Ivan, possibly only one or twice, but Till had read it nearing a dozen times.
So how did he manage to forget what happened at the end?
They didn’t kiss, not in this scene, but they almost did and that was enough to have Till suddenly rethinking everything. You’re a professional, he reminded himself, and tried to believe it.
He had certainly kissed plenty of people on set by now but admittedly he had never found any of them quite as alluring as Ivan.
Still, this was a chance to prove himself. He wouldn’t let that get in the way of doing his job properly.
“We don’t have all day,” Luka said, as impatient as ever.
Till resisted the urge to glare at him and simply set the script aside; it wasn’t frowned upon to read from the script during chemistry reads, of course, but he had the entire thing memorized already.
Ivan probably hadn’t been able to memorize it in such a short time but Till was surprised to find he set his script aside as well. He was always called an acting prodigy by media, the best the industry had seen in ages, and it seemed like it went beyond just a good performance on screen.
They both stepped closer to each other, waited until Luka gave the final nod.
All jokes aside, Till really was a professional. He felt like he was a different person when he got into character. Immediately he felt his eyes start to sting, his bottom lip tremble a little.
“You lied to me,” he said, voice thick with emotion.
It was surprisingly easy to look Ivan in the eyes all of a sudden. Ivan stared back just as intensely, reached for his hands. He held them, loose and gentle. “You know I didn’t have a choice.”
Till jerked his hands away. “But you promised me.”
“I know, I know,” Ivan’s eyes were glossy too, brimming with so much emotion Till had to remind himself they were acting. He couldn’t remember ever having to do that before. “But I need you to trust me, okay?”
Till swallowed. “I – I don’t know if I can,” he whispered, just loud enough for Luka and the others to hear.
Ivan frowned, looking thoughtful for a moment. “How can I convince you to trust me?”
He opened his mouth, closed it, cursed himself because – he’d fucking forgotten the line. How could he have forgotten the line? He dared a quick glance at Luka, who was watching him with slightly narrowed eyes.
He was so screwed. Ivan was definitely getting the role, no doubt, but not before Till was probably kicked off the project.
And now he was so nervous he was shaking a little, hopefully not enough to be noticed by Luka and the others but there was no hiding it from Ivan, as close as he was.
So much for being a professional.
Maybe it would be better just to get it over with and admit his mistake, take whatever consequences would follow, even if that meant being kicked off the project. Even if it meant not getting to work with Ivan.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, Ivan surged forward and kissed him.
For a second he just stood there dumbly, eyes wide open. He heard a gasp from the side then a whispered, “I thought they weren’t actually supposed to kiss here?”
The only thing that followed was silence, but Till knew the answer; he might’ve forgotten his line but he still remembered how the scene ended – Ivan’s hand on his neck, thumb stroking his jaw as he begged him for one more chance.
Not a kiss, but something close. The actual kiss came far later in the script.
Till hadn’t prepared himself for this, but he knew he couldn’t risk ruining the scene even more. Eyelashes fluttering, he closed his eyes and cupped Ivan’s face, kissing him back with fervor.
It was like something out of his wildest dreams but also not at all.
After a few seconds, he dared to open his eyes, surprised to find Ivan already staring back at him.
Suddenly Ivan was pulling away, turning toward Luka. “Sorry, I got a bit carried away.”
Till licked his lips, flushed when he realized what he’d done and quickly pursed his lips into a thin line to ignore the urge to do it again.
“Well,” Luka looked torn between amusement and annoyance, “I supposed you were going to kiss him eventually one way or another.”
Till blinked as the words settled. “Wait, you mean – ”
“Don’t get too excited,” he interrupted, already standing, “but you should be optimistic.” Weirdly, he said it while staring at Till like he was the one auditioning for the spot, not Ivan. There was no way he knew, right? Or maybe he was letting him know he was going to be kind enough to ignore his obvious mistake. “We’ll call you once we’ve discussed it and made a final decision.”
Till watched as Luka left with the staff, not even giving them a glance back. For once, he was thankful to be ignored.
Once they were gone, Mizi rushed to his side. “Are you okay?” she asked, side-eyeing Ivan skeptically.
He appreciated her concern, as always, but he was fine. If kissing strangers was an issue for him, he probably would’ve picked a different career path, but even those kisses were usually planned for and this wasn’t, which was jarring, yes, but he wasn’t upset.
Ivan’s manager was at his side, too, looking at him with disapproval. Till wondered how often he did unexpected stuff like that.
Finally he brushed her off and stepped forward, closer to Till. Mizi pursed her lips but didn’t intervene; she really was the perfect manager for him.
“I apologize,” he said, giving a slight bow. “I shouldn’t have done that without warning, but…”
He trailed off, and Mizi finally spoke, “But?”
But Till already knew the answer. Ivan smiled, but it wasn’t mean. “You forgot your line,” he said. It wasn’t a question. Mizi startled, glancing at the script still laid out on the table. “An honest mistake. I didn’t want you getting chided for it, and I thought it’d work as a good enough distraction.”
It certainly had. Till could still feel the press of his lips – plush, but just a little dry.
“You did that for Till?” Mizi asked, sounding skeptical. Till couldn’t blame her; people in the industry rarely looked out for each other like that, nevertheless strangers.
Ivan nodded, his smile growing just a little wider. “I guess you could say I’m intrigued.” He extended a hand and Till took a second too long to move, realizing his intent. Ivan squeezed his hand. “I look forward to working together.”
Till envied his confidence. Technically, nothing was confirmed yet. But even he knew it wasn’t up in the air. Luka just liked making people sweat.
“Me too,” he said.
-
“Did you see Ivan’s manager?” Mizi asked the next day. Shooting wouldn’t start for a few weeks but she came over often just to hang out.
Till blinked. “The girl with the, uh, blue hair and piercing stare?”
He didn’t miss the way her mouth twitched, forming a smile for only a second. “Yeah.”
Till had recognized that smile, however brief. He looked back to the television. “You should go for it.”
“Wh – what?” she stammered, nearly spilling their bowl of popcorn. “I don’t – I mean – ”
He grinned, side-eyeing her. “I always knew you were into the stoic types.”
“She wasn’t – ” Mizi pursed her lips, looking down. “When you two were doing the read, you know how we all left? Well, we talked some.” Her cheeks were flushed, nearly the same shade of her regularly-dyed hair. “She was nicer than you’d think, looking at her.”
Till wasn’t sure how much he believed her. Everyone was nice to Mizi. She was just that kind of person. You would have to be pure evil to be mean to her. “I trust your judgment,” he said instead, reaching out and squeezing her arm.
She peered at him from under her eyelashes. “But what if it complicates things? Especially when you’ll be working with Ivan for the next few months. And I mean, I don’t even know if she’s, you know.”
“And you’ll never know if you don’t ask,” he replied, making sure to soften his voice. “And don’t worry about me, okay? I can take care of my own shit.”
-
Till was confident. It was something Mizi always said she admired about him; he knew what he wanted, and he wasn’t afraid to work for it.
But he was also well-aware of his own shortcomings. He could be testy and impatient, and didn’t always take being corrected or criticized well.
“What if I say something wrong?” he whined, standing in front of the oversized mirror in his living room.
Mizi glanced up from her phone. “Then you – and I know this is an abstract concept to you – but you apologize.”
Till glared at her through the mirror. “And what if he says something wrong?”
“You wait it out,” she replied just as easily. “I mean, he seemed nice enough at the chemistry read.” She set her phone aside, seemingly done with it for now. “He didn’t have to help you like that.”
Till felt his cheeks grow warm just remembering the kiss. In the moment, he had been able to control himself, too caught up in making sure he didn’t ruin the scene more or – worse – lose his role. But now, looking back, he couldn’t quite believe he had kissed Ivan.
It was always going to happen, Luka was right, if Ivan got the role but somehow that didn’t make it any easier to believe.
And he had gotten the role; Luka had called him this morning with the good news. After that, Till had thought about texting Ivan, congratulating him. They had exchanged numbers for a reason.
But he couldn’t quite work up the guts to do it.
He must’ve waited too long because eventually a text had popped up on his own phone from ‘Ivan’. (He had debated adding a heart before realizing that was asking for trouble.)
“Since we’ll officially be working together,” it had read, “I would like to get to know each other better.”
Till had mulled over how to respond for so long he had eventually texted Mizi instead for help. With her help, he had responded back with a simple, “How about brunch?”
He still wasn’t sure people actually used the word brunch in real life but he had trusted Mizi more than himself in the moment, and either way it worked out because Ivan said yes.
He said yes with a little :) to be precise and Till felt like his heart was going to burst. He was playing a dangerous game, he knew, letting himself feed into this when they were coworkers, nothing else, but he couldn’t help it.
And Mizi was enabling it.
After their conversation, Mizi had invited herself over to help him get ready. Fair enough, because without Hyuna he wasn’t really too sure how to do much more than throw on a shirt and jeans.
She had helped him with some basic makeup – a bit of eyeliner and gloss – then picked out his outfit for him, which he still wasn’t sure about.
It was brunch, after all, but she had picked out a long-sleeved silky blue shirt and black jeans. He felt a little overdressed but she had assured him it was perfect.
“I should get going,” she announced, tearing him out of his downward spiral. She jumped off the couch and walked over, peering in the mirror alongside him. “You look hot.”
Till snorted, shaking his head. “I used to dream of you hearing you say that.”
And it was true; when they had first met, when his career was still new and fresh, he had immediately developed a crush on her. Now, he was glad they were just friends. Now, they were so close it didn’t even feel weird joking about it.
Mizi winked playfully and patted him on the back. “Just be yourself.”
That was what he was afraid of.
-
Mizi left after that, which was expected – it was only an hour until Ivan was set to arrive – but being alone didn’t help his nerves at all.
Nearly exactly on the dot, Till’s doorbell rang. Old-fashioned, really, because most people just texted when they arrived.
Smoothing his shirt down in the mirror, and reminding himself this wasn’t a date, he walked over and opened the door.
Thankfully, he hadn’t been the only one to get dressed up. Ivan wore a long-sleeved black shirt, tucked neatly into dark blue slacks. His hair was swept back out of his face; if he wore makeup, it wasn’t obvious enough for Till to be able to tell but either way he was as stunning as ever.
Till realized – belatedly – that he had just been staring at him without saying anything for at least a minute. Flushing, he stepped out of the way, a silent invitation inside.
Just as he opened his mouth to say something, anything, Ivan was saying, “I almost feel bad for what I’m about to suggest,” he smiled, small, “considering how good you look.”
Till blinked once, twice. “Oh. Um. What?”
Stupid. He was so stupid.
“You obviously got dressed up intending to go out,” Ivan continued, still smiling with a hint of amusement dancing in his dark eyes, “which I know we discussed, but…”
Till swallowed; why was his mouth so dry? “But?”
“But,” Ivan tilted his head a little. “I can’t speak for you, of course, but getting recognized in public is daunting.”
Till was suddenly reminded of their differences. He’d been recognized a few times, sure, but undoubtedly nothing compared to what Ivan went through. His face was plastered everywhere – billboards, magazines, commercials – so no wonder he was tired of getting recognized everywhere he went.
Even if you didn’t know Ivan, you’d at least seen his face. And most people can’t control themselves around a celebrity, regardless of personal interest.
“I understand,” he said finally, not sure what else to say.
Ivan smiled a bit wider. “So do you mind?” Till wasn’t quite sure what he was asking, but thankfully he continued before he could make a fool of himself. “I know it must also be daunting to have a stranger in your apartment.”
The dots connected quickly, suddenly. Till didn’t even have to think about the answer. “I don’t mind at all,” he said, but then, “I just – well.” Warm in the face, he gestured weakly at his kitchen. “I don’t have much.”
“No problem,” Ivan was already pulling out his phone. “We can just order something.”
-
That was how they ended up on his couch, shoes thrown off, eating a pizza. It was oddly comfortable, even though Till kept catching himself staring at Ivan’s mouth.
It was hard not to remember the kiss. It had just been part of the script, albeit a little early. Not to mention, Ivan had only done it to save him from making a complete fool of himself.
But it was still hard to forget, or brush off. After all, Till had admired him (and possibly had a crush on him) for so long. He never imagined just meeting him, nevertheless anything more.
“Do I have something on my face?”
Ivan’s seemingly innocent question was what finally drew him back to reality.
Till startled, nearly dropping his slice of pizza. It was starting to get cold anyway. “Um. No. I mean. Your face is fine.”
He winced at his own words, cursing himself internally.
Ivan smiled – no, that was a smirk. “I’m glad to hear you think my face is ‘fine’.”
“Well, I mean, I didn’t – your face is more than fine,” Till stammered, even as he cursed himself more with each word.
For a moment, there was silence and Till was sure he had finally properly screwed things up. But then Ivan threw his head back and started laughing hard enough he shook the couch a little.
Once he quieted down, he gazed at Till with a crooked smile. “You’re funny.”
Till flushed. “I’m sure you hear that kind of stuff all the time.”
“Mmm,” Ivan tilted his head back and forth. “Yeah, but people are usually a lot more suave about it.” When Till frowned, he nudged him with his foot. “That’s a good thing. I prefer when people don’t try so hard.”
Till couldn’t fight back a smile even if he tried. “Oh.”
“I was gonna suggest we do a readthrough of the script tonight but,” Ivan checked his phone. “It’s getting late.”
Till tried to hide his disappointment. He was surprised how much he’d enjoyed Ivan’s company. He had hoped he would, of course, but he was never sure how these things would go. Like mentioned, he didn’t always get along with people easily. And Ivan was, well, Ivan.
Famous, beautiful, rich. Till expected him to be a lot more conceited or snobby. Most of the famous people Till met were like that, after all, but not Ivan. He was sweet. A little odd, but wasn’t everyone?
“Are you free next Friday?” Ivan asked.
Till didn’t even have to think. If he had plans, he would just have to reschedule.
“Um, probably,” he said, aiming for casual and probably failing.
Ivan smiled again; he had one fang that Till was starting to think was unfairly adorable. “We can meet, then, go over the script.”
“Sounds good.” Amazing, actually, but he didn’t dare seem too eager, even though he was starting to think Ivan wouldn’t mind.
-
“Soooo,” Mizi slung herself over the couch ungracefully. “How did it go, hmm?”
Till snorted, pushing her out of the way to sit down. “I – ” His smile fell. Mizi was quick to adapt, sitting up properly. She had always been good at adapting to his moods. “I think I might be screwed.”
“What?” she leaned in closer. “Did he do something?”
Till appreciated her concern, as unfounded as it was. “No, he was… he was great, actually. We ate pizza and talked about a lot of nothing. He mentioned coming over next Friday so we can actually go over the script.”
“So… what’s wrong?” She was frowning, eyebrows drawn together in confusion. He couldn’t blame her.
He sighed, peering down at his hands folded together in his lap. “I think I could really like him, Mizi. Like… a lot.”
The thing was, he had never really liked someone before. He had certainly never dated. Beyond his short-lived crush on Mizi, passionate as it was, he had never even gotten the urge to date, or even do what a lot of other actors did and sleep around casually.
And now he was worried if he spent too much time with Ivan, that might change. Turn into something more than a crush from afar.
For a long moment, they were both silent. Finally, Mizi reached for his hands, cradling them gently.
“You are a really good person, Till.”
He rolled his eyes, an automatic response. She squeezed his hands harder.
“You always undervalue yourself, Till,” she continued, and he couldn’t look away from her determined gaze. “You act overconfident to make up for it, but I know you too well for that. You don’t know think someone like Ivan could ever like you but you fail to realize he’d be lucky to have you.”
He swallowed around the sudden lump in his throat. “I – ”
But she apparently wasn’t finished, “I met with Sua.” She paused for a moment, like she was realizing something. “Ivan’s manager,” she clarified. “We really hit it off. She cares for Ivan like I care for you, I think.”
He just nodded, unsure where this was going but happy for her either way.
“I probably shouldn’t say this, it isn’t my place but,” she smiled, small, “I will, because I think you need to hear it. Apparently Ivan can’t stop talking about you. Sua said he’s never been so interested in another person. She even asked me about you.” Her smile widened a bit. “I only said good things, of course. I knew she was just worried.”
Till couldn’t believe it. He had also never known Mizi to lie, especially about serious stuff.
“But I – I can’t,” he stammered, looking down at their hands. “Even if he was interested,” which was so hard to believe he almost felt like he was dreaming, “I can’t risk it.”
Mizi ducked her head, forcing her eyes to meet again. “Why not?”
“You know why,” he said, and he wasn’t even embarrassed that he sounded like a petulant child. “I would be risking the movie. If we had a fight or – or broke up, I don’t know if I could pretend like nothing happened.”
He was making a lot of assumptions anyway; assuming Ivan was interested in something more, when maybe he just wanted something casual or temporary. But still the details didn’t matter. Either way, Till knew he couldn’t go back to acting like only coworkers.
“Till, I know you care about this movie,” she smiled again but there was something sad about the curve of her mouth, pitying. “But sometimes life is about taking chances. You can’t just depend on your career for happiness forever.”
He wanted to argue because he couldn’t find the words. Mizi squeezed his hands even tighter. It was almost painful but also oddly comforting.
“What if you got a role a few years from now – your dream role – but then suddenly you were kicked off the cast.” Till waited, knowing she wasn’t finished. “You would be devastated, obviously, but you would be even more devastated if you had to go home to an empty apartment.”
Till licked his lips; when did they get so dry?
“Plenty of people are satisfied never having a partner. Dating.”
Mizi rolled her eyes. “I know that but I also know you’re not one of them, Till.”
She really did know him too well. “But we’re both famous, Mizi, and he’s – he’s a household name. If we dated, we couldn’t keep it from the public for too long. Someone would find out.”
“And that is something worth discussing,” she finally released his hands, choosing instead to squeeze his wrist. “With him.”
Till suddenly felt like crying. He didn’t, but his eyes burned. “What if we’re wrong? Even Sua?”
“Then you can come to me and cry it out.” She smiled, warm and sincere.
It was a decent enough backup plan. Without warning, he lunged forward and hugged her. “Have I said recently how you are the best manager in the world?”
“You don’t have to tell me, I already know.”
-
Till decided not to rush it, even if Mizi suggested texting Ivan and setting a closer date to see each other again.
When Friday finally rolled around, he felt like he was going to be sick.
He made a point to not dress up, just a pair of his usual jeans and a black t-shirt. If this was going to happen, he wanted to be sure it was because Ivan really liked him. Not because he thought he looked good enough to settle for.
A few minutes after 12, his doorbell rang.
Brushing by the mirror without looking, he opened the door. Ivan had apparently had the same thought; he looked as gorgeous as last time, obviously, but he was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans too with a thin jacket. His hair also wasn’t slicked back, hanging loosely around his face.
He also had a bag, probably to carry around the script and whatever else he might need.
Like last time, they ordered food and ended up on the couch. This time, however, they had the scripts. Till noticed a ton of highlighted parts in Ivan’s copy; maybe he shouldn’t have assumed he just had a natural gift for memorizing things. He had obviously worked just as hard.
For a while, they just rehearsed through the easy parts. Didn’t bother acting any of the parts out just yet.
Most of that stuff – gestures, movements – would be changed before they actually started filming anyway so Till didn’t usually worry about it, just focused on the actual dialogue.
But then they flipped the page and Till saw it: the scene where they kissed. The actual scene.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. When Till finally chanced a look up, he noticed Ivan was already looking at him.
“Do you usually practice these parts?” Ivan asked.
Till tried to decipher his voice, his expression, but it was all perfectly neutral.
“Sometimes,” he answered, because it was true. “Makes it less awkward later.” But other actors preferred keeping any kissing strictly in front of the camera. Till didn’t really have a preference.
Ivan hummed thoughtfully. “Well then, I’m up for it, if you are.”
He could almost hear Mizi in his head, telling him he shouldn’t do this. He should confess, first, otherwise it wasn’t fair. To him or Ivan. And he would confess tonight. He had already made that decision but…
Couldn’t he be just a little selfish first?
“Sure.” Understatement of the century.
Collecting their scripts, Till set them aside on the coffee table and was relieved when Ivan made the first move to scoot closer. He still couldn’t quite read his face, perfectly blank.
“Let me know if you want to stop,” Ivan said, a hand already reaching out and settling on Till’s neck, warm and heavy.
Till was pretty sure Ivan could’ve done anything to him in that moment and he still wouldn’t have asked him to stop, but he appreciated the sentiment.
Not trusting his voice, Till just gave a tiny nod and that seemed to be enough for Ivan. He leaned forward, slowly, like he was giving Till the chance to stop him if he wanted to.
He didn’t.
Finally their lips touched, just a gentle press. Ivan’s lips were even softer than he remembered, warmer too. The script didn’t detail the kiss; that would be decided later with help from the director but – Till supposed Ivan was preparing for everything as he tilted his head, pressing their lips together with a bit more fervor.
Hardly complaining, Till kissed back, scooting a little closer. That should’ve been it. Given the scene, it was doubtful the kiss was going to be anything more than this.
But Ivan didn’t pull away, and Till wasn’t going to be the first to end it.
Opening his eyes, he finally wasn’t surprised for once to find Ivan already staring back at him. What was difference, however, was the look in his eyes. Intense, but somehow warm.
Till felt a shiver down his spine and decided this was it. Words had never been his specialty. Moving quickly, he shifted up onto his knees and swung a leg over Ivan to settle on the other side, kissing him the entire time.
Only once he was settled, straddling him, did he finally pull back. “Is this okay?”
Ivan’s eyes were always dark, nearly black, but this was something else. “Depends,” he replied, low but steady. He lifted his hands, placing them on Till’s hips. “Is this okay?”
Instead of replying with words, Till just leaned in and kissed him again. This kiss was immediately different from the first, filthy and almost aggressive. Ivan bit at his bottom lip, just the edge of too hard, and Till let out a sound in the back of his throat that was outright embarrassing.
He only pulled back for air when he absolutely had to, panting a little to catch his breath. Ivan’s eyes were half-lidded; he somehow looked the best he ever had. Till swallowed. This was his chance.
“I have something to confess,” he forced the words out before he could reconsider.
Ivan blinked, once, almost immediately looking more alert. “What?” His hands shifted on his hips but didn’t pull away. “Do you want to stop?”
“Quite literally the opposite,” he replied, feeling nearly delirious. This was it. “I know this is – probably not what you want at all, and I’m probably reading too much into everything, and – and I know this could get in the way of the movie, I’m not an idiot, but I think I would really regret not saying it.”
Ivan squeezed his hips, then, and it was enough to make him feel a little more grounded. “You’re kind of scaring me here, Till.”
He stared at Ivan for a moment, appreciating every detail of his face, before he took a deep breath, “I think I could end up liking you.” He paused, letting the words settle properly in the silence between them. “A lot.”
Till wasn’t sure what he was expecting. The silence lingered so long he was starting to feel an ache in his chest.
Without a word, he went to move off Ivan’s lap but his hands tightened around his waist. “Stay,” he said, the softest Till had ever heard his voice.
“You don’t have to try and – and placate me,” Till stammered, but he didn’t try to move again. “I’m not gonna be mad at you for not feeling the same way.”
Ivan opened his mouth, closed it. Till watched his face flicker through about ten different emotions before suddenly he was kissing him again, hard and messy. Till gasped into his mouth, surprised – confused – but hardly disappointed.
He curled his fingers in Ivan’s hair, eyelashes fluttering. He could do this forever. He also knew he needed a real answer.
He deserved that.
Mustering all his courage, he pulled back. Ivan stared up at him with a newfound intensity. He forced himself to speak around the lump in his throat, “I’ve admired you for a long time. I know that might not be – appealing, in this context. But I don’t think that has anything to do with what I’ve felt since we met.”
Ivan continued to stare at him. Till gulped.
“You’re just not what I expected,” he paused. “In a really good way, and I’ve never done this before. Not just with another actor. Or, uh, coworker. I mean, like at all.”
The corner of Ivan’s mouth started to quirk up. “You’re cute.”
“Oh.” Till flushed. “Thank you?”
Ivan let out a soft laugh; gently, he moved Till off him. Under different circumstances, he might’ve overthought what that meant but Ivan was still smiling, warm and small.
“Are you asking me out, Till?” he asked, not even trying to hide the mirth in his eyes.
He supposed he was, in a way. “I mean, that’s – that’s assuming a lot. I just, I wanted to let you know. I didn’t – ” He hadn’t expected anything, he meant to say, but he suddenly stopped, finally connecting the dots. “Wait. Does that mean – ?”
Ivan leaned against the back of the couch, watching him with that same sparkle in his eyes. “I liked you the second I set my eyes on you,” the confession felt like igniting fire in Till’s very core. “I wasn’t sure why, at first. I’d never felt that way before, and we barely knew each other.”
Till didn’t dare speak; he didn’t trust his voice anyway.
“But you’re… different,” Ivan hummed. “I can’t quite put my finger on it.” He smiled, that fang poking out again. Till wanted to feel it against his lip again. “And frankly, I don’t really care to.”
He paused, reaching out. Till didn’t even think twice, moving as if commanded by something out of his control. Ivan held his hand gently, thumb pressing into his knuckles, not hard but comforting. Grounding, like he somehow knew Till felt a little untethered.
“But I’m assuming you know by now I can’t promise you this won’t get out. Even when you’re surrounded by people you think you can trust, it’s not quite true in our line of work, is it?”
Till had already went over this in his head. “I don’t mind. I think it’s worth the risk.”
“We should at least keep it between us,” Ivan said softly, and Till wasn’t sure yet what he was going to say next. If he wanted to keep this hidden because he was ashamed or embarrassed to be seen with him. But then – “Just until the movie is done shooting. I don’t want them to project or assume anything just because we’re together.”
Till nodded. “I agree,” he said, meaning it. It was the smart move. “And if anything happens, if this doesn’t work, I need us to be on the same page.”
“I hope we won’t have to worry about that,” Ivan replied, “but the fact you even want to discuss it...” He smiled again, almost approvingly. Till didn’t want to admit how much that did for his confidence. “I promise you won’t have anything to worry about from my end. I could even give you something to use against me, if it would give you peace of mind.”
Till let out a sudden laugh, surprised by the odd offer. But just as Ivan kept saying he was different, he was starting to think Ivan’s oddness was what had really captivated him. “I’ll just have to take your word for it,” he said, still smiling.
-
They never ended up having to worry about. Months later, when the movie was wrapping up, they all celebrated by having dinner at Ivan’s house. The place had always been beautiful, from the very first time Till had seen it, but now it felt more like a proper home.
Pictures lined the walls that used to be empty, mostly of the two of them, but some were just of Till. He complained about them, sometimes, embarrassed but secretly he liked it.
Some were of all of them – Ivan, arms wrapped around Till. Mizi and Sua, heads tilted together.
Till was pretty sure he had died and gone to heaven. Or maybe he just should’ve been more hopeful when he was younger because sometimes he still struggled to believe this was real.
Sitting at the table, Ivan on his left and Mizi on his right, he wondered what he had done to end up lucky enough to have met both of them.
Or maybe Ivan was right, as he always liked to say: “You deserve good things, Till.”
Till still remembered the first time he’d said it when they were laid out in his bed. He had kissed Till’s forehead and he had suddenly felt the urge to cry, eyes burning.
Maybe, just maybe, he was finally starting to believe it.
“Can you believe they still haven’t figured it out?” Mizi was saying, giggling around the rim of her wine glass. “’How is their chemistry so good?’” she said, repeating what the director had said earlier.
Till hadn’t really heard him. He’d been too busy kissing Ivan with as much fervor as he kissed him every night. He supposed there were benefits, actually, to dating your costar.
Sua smiled at her side. “You can’t blame him. I’m surprised they were actually able to keep it hidden until the end of filming.”
Till chanced a glance at Ivan, who was already staring back at him. He smiled. Ivan smiled back, giving a nod.
“About that, actually,” Till cleared his throat. “We are planning to disclose that we’re dating. Not how long, obviously, but… we thought it might make things easier, especially since Ivan can’t stop complaining about wanting to take me places and not being able to.”
Mizi smiled, shifting to take Sua’s hand where it was resting atop the table.
“We’re happy for you.” She glanced at Ivan. “Both of you.”
-
At the end of the night, Till was surprised to have Mizi pull him away from Ivan’s side. She walked them to the edge of the porch, grasping his hands tightly in her own.
“I know this is going to be cheesy and you’ll hate every second of it,” she said, “but I just really need to say it.”
Till tilted his head with a confused smile.
“I used to worry about you.” She squeezed his hands tighter. “You always acted like you were fine on your own but I just – I could tell you had so much love to give and for a while I almost felt guilty, turning you down.”
Till tensed, already opening his mouth, but she continued, “I know you never wanted me to, and you never did anything to make me feel that. I promise. It was just – normal concern for a friend, okay?”
She gently shook their hands, smiling now. “But now I see you with Ivan and… Till, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so happy.”
He couldn’t fight the smile off his own face, small and sincere. He stared down at their hands. “I – ” He paused, swallowed around the lump in his throat. He hadn’t even said this to Ivan, yet, but somehow it felt right. Saying it, now, to Mizi first. “I think I love him.”
For a long moment, there was silence. When he finally glanced up, Mizi wasn’t looking at him. She was staring over his shoulder, eyes a little wide, and –
He dropped her hands and spun around. Ivan stood there, frozen with his hand in the air like he had just been about to tap his shoulder. Mizi squeaked and scooted past them, rushing to join Sua at the other end of the porch.
“I was going to ask if you were cold,” Ivan said, dropping his hand. It was chilly out, middle of autumn now, and Ivan knew he ran cold. The simple but sweet gesture made his heart feel like it was going to burst out of his chest.
Till just nodded, not trusting his voice. Ivan shucked off his jacket and moved to wrap it around his frame.
“I didn’t want you hear that,” Till said finally, clutching the jacket to keep it from falling. “I was going to tell you soon. Just needed the right moment. I know it’s probably too soon or I don’t know, I don’t really know how to gauge these things – ”
Ivan moved, smooth but fast, wrapping an arm around his waist and drawing him in close enough to tip their foreheads together. If he remembered they still had company present, he didn’t seem phased by it. “I don’t believe in there being a right time for anything,” he breathed softly. “I love you, Till.”
He smiled so big he knew his cheeks were going to hurt later. He didn’t care. Happiness was worth it. “Good,” he said before cupping both sides of Ivan’s face and kissing him.
It reminded him a lot of their first kiss but this time the roles were reversed. Ivan seemed surprised for just a second before he smiled against his lips, tugging him even closer.
When they separated, Till was breathless. He wasn’t complaining.
“I hate to say this,” he let out a shaky laugh, still catching his breath, “but I think we need to send a thank you card or something.”
Ivan raised an eyebrow, searching his face. “To who?”
“I’ll tell you later,” he replied before moving in to kiss him again. He heard Sua’s groan from across the porch. Ivan laughed against his mouth.
-
A week before they left for their first vacation, just a couple days after the news of them dating had hit the media, Till went to the store and picked out a card. It was the vaguest card he could find in the store, just a simple “thank you” with a smiley face on the front. He signed it just as simply – Ivan and Till – and left it like that. He trusted Luka to figure it out.

So. This has lived on my hard drive for over a year and a half now, and in my head for much longer than that. I have the entire plot mapped out in my mind, and it's not *too* long. But it's gonna require a lot of careful writing that I think is beyond my ability, and definitely beyond my current available free time level. Maybe when I advance to candidacy, or maybe this is the story I use a portable backpacking writing setup for.
Either way. It's very deliberately allegorical, and taps into a few sci fi cliche "twists" that you're supposed to kinda figure out early on, but are used for bigger themes later.
As I said. Probably beyond my ability.
But here's how I kicked it off a while back. It has a similar "flow" to the intro of biologics, where it cuts between expository introspection and the actual events happening. Idk if that's weird, but it's what made sense to me.
Also I hate the working title I gave it, but I can't think of it as anything else now.
Symphony of the Stars
The bar I found myself in wasn't much different than millions of others like it. A couple cheap liquors that could be found anywhere, maybe a halfway decent local beer or two, and some tacky tourist paraphernalia hang haphazardly on the walls. Absentmindedly, I swirled my drink. My eyes slowly drifted through the panel windows behind the bar, and onto the orange gas giant visible through it.
That was one thing that made me partial to this little backwater- that damn view. Sure, the closer moons might advertise themselves on their intimate little peeks at the red spot, or the faintest glimpse of Jupiter's barely visible rings, but the people there... Not that I minded the workers, I'm a mechanic of sorts myself- but the miners, water pumpers, and atmospheric skimmers of Jupiter's inner moons were a particular brand of insufferable. Thinking that a couple years managing equipment in the Hellas basin made them the most rugged people on the planet, and then shipped themselves out to the furthest flung inhabited spot in the damn solar system. Joke's on them- most of them don't survive 10 years out here. The ones that make it are a different story, I'll give you that. A certain breed of person actually has what it takes to make it out here, and those people have earned some respect.
But I digress.
Callisto was a remote place, damn far from the sprawling metropolises of Mars or the more cushy mining jobs in the belt. Up until recently, it had been my own little sleepy backwater that I had used to escape my extended hours fixing ships for the harvesters on the other moons.
That was before jumping.
Callisto boasted a small engineering and research center near the south pole, most famous for getting artificial gravity fields working nearly three centuries ago. That bit of notoriety let someone set up a particle accelerator that looped the whole damn moon on its equator. Forty eight years ago, a researcher hit the right island of stability when making ultra-heavy elements, and something just... came together. The exact right amount of mass was focused in the exact right amount of space to dent space time in a perfect little way. A few measurements later, they realized that they had created the smallest documented black hole.
My eyes again wandered to the space in between us and Jupiter. That was the other reason I came to this bar so often. It was also the only place around where you could watch the show.
After a few times generating and collapsing this infant of a black hole, some idiot of a scientist decided that they just had to throw something into it. It wasn't much of anything, just a probe that blasted a repeating live image from its camera in all directions. And hopefully, if it survived in any identifiable form, someone would pick up on it.
Well, someone did. A little over four years later, we got a picture of a star. Real helpful- there's only a couple septillion of those out there, right? But what mattered was the timing, and the direction. The star was eventually identified as Proxima Centauri. The moment the image from the probe had been received, the receiver was exactly 4.2465433 light years away from Proxima. And the image was received exactly 4.2465433 years after the probe was thrown into the hole. Meaning that the probe was at Proxima, exactly 4.2465433 years before the image was received. And it was thrown into the hole, on Callisto.... also exactly 4.2465433 years before the image was received. One moment, Callisto. One moment, Proxima Centauri. In some unit of time that was smaller than our ability to measure, it had traveled to the next star system. It was the textbook definition of a wormhole.
And with that discovery, well....
Jupiter's red spot quivered ever so slightly. They were right on schedule, it seemed. Just need to gain a bit of mass in the accelerator, get the magnetic railgun to throw it all into the space above it....
Like fluid down a drain, the image of Jupiter swirled as a dark spot appeared in front of it. Slowly, it grew, twisting the orange and red tones of the gas giant in mosaic patterns, until the black orb stopped, hovering in the emptiness.
After the initial wormhole generation all those years ago, it was found that by nudging the mass to be a little less, or a little more, or nudging to position of the superheavy object that created it, you could target distant parts of the universe. Soon, small spacecraft were being sent to distant stars. The scientists started it, of course. Shortly afterwards, the Callisto government began lobbying to make our little outpost the first official launch point for interstellar settlement.
That was forty years ago. And at this point, the five established settlements were fairly self sufficient- they just needed occasional contact and resupplies. Every week, a wormhole would be opened to one of the colonies. And every week, a freighter would be there to make the jump through, grab what supplies it needed, leave behind a new list of requests, and then disappear again until their specific colony was contacted again in another five weeks. And every week, I would be in this same bar to watch the fireworks.
My eyes narrowed as the perfect black circle reached its stable state. I watched these things every damn week. Part of me wants to say "blink and you'll miss it", but the truth is, at this point in the process, there's nothing to miss.
One moment, a featureless orb. The next moment, a deep space freighter. No flash. No gradual fade. No coming out of a tunnel. The hole was large enough for the entire mass of the ship to fit through at once, and the jump was seamless.
And to tell the truth... I didn't like it.
Humanity had reached and settled the furthest reaches of space, because of a magic substance that broke physics, stumbled upon by accident, in a random lab, by a some guy who was just trying to whip up a new element.
It was perfect. It was too perfect. And it bothered me.
And well, that's why I was here. I'd been visiting Callisto for years, and the pressure to make jumping more and more accessible to small spacecraft was insane. Pretty soon, everyone trying to engineer or maintain any kind of ship would need to have half of a quantum physics degree, and I wanted to be ahead of the curve. So when the launch point was made official, and they called for mechanics to service the ships that made the jumps to the colonies and back, I lept at the opportunity.
But the push was always for more applications, with little thought to the physics. More jumps, more colonies, more resupplies, more energy efficiency to increase the frequency at which it could be used. Some people were interested in the mechanics of the phenomena to exploit it further, sure, but most seemed to stonewall when you questioned too far. How the hell had this been missed? Why is everyone pushing for applications, and no one freaking out over how much this broke our understanding of the universe? Is it possible to measure the unit of time that the jump occurred in? Was it below detection limits? If it was, what did that mean?
And so, here I was. Sipping some herbal thing, staring at Jupiter, and thinking a little too hard about reality.
Eh, at least I could fix that last part.
"'scuse me bartender?" I asked. "Can I get another one of these, with an extra shot in it?"
He silently nodded, and poured me the synthetic gin mixed with... well, I didn't question it much. Anything to help keep these ideas in check.
The carbon fiber fingertips of my left hand gripped the glass with their usual calculated precision, while the skin of my right idly tapped the bar. I sighed.

chapstick kisses- hueningkai/reader
a/n: hopefully we’re thinking of the same chapstick challenge LMAO?? anyways I’m a sucker for lip balm and collecting weird flavors so I will project on you so sorry xoxo
warnings/genre: fluff, giggly hyuka, banter, reader has weirdly niche lip balm flavors?? lots of kissing, tell me if anything else should be tagged!! :>
Tumblr media
“There’s no way that’s not vanilla,” Hyuka scoffed, as you laughed at your poor boyfriend. It was an old trend, but Kai stumbled upon it while going through some old videos, and he will gladly take any excuse to kiss you!! “That’s vanilla.”
“It’s not vanilla!” You retorted. “Close though, it has vanilla in the name.”
“There’s no way you’re not counting this. Vanilla is vanilla, does the rest of the flavor really matter?” he asked, playfully rolling his eyes at your specifics.
“Okay okay, do you give up?” He sighed, licking his lips once more for the sweet, artificial balmy vanilla left from your kiss.
“Fine fine, what was it?”
“Vanilla cream pudding!” You laughed, Kai giving you a flabbergasted look.
“This challenge is bad. I don’t even get a prize if I guess correctly!” He whined, as you got the next lip balm to try. Applying it generously, you turned back towards the 6’ baby. He was so pretty, sunlight filtered through the windows while he rested his head on one of his stuffed animals, hair a bit messy, lips a tad swollen from the constant kisses, and his eyes. You couldn’t get enough of him, but he felt the exact same way about you.
He was admiring practically everything about you in that moment, he admires you every moment of course, but something about the way your face is still all scrunched up with joy from his failure to guess ‘vanilla cream pudding,’ as a lip balm flavor made his heart skip a beat. Your happiness was the most beautiful thing to him, but that’s too cheesy. He’ll stick to making you happy so he can see your smile.
“Okok, next!” You moved over, lightly pecking Kai’s lips before he leaned forward, a habit. He loved kissing you, but he always tensed up. Which moment should he do it? Would he be awkward? Does he make that weird face guys usually do before they kiss someone? Is he a bad kisser? Any excuse for him to kiss you is immediately accepted and welcomed!
“Oh, is it…Pineapple? It’s very sweet though,” he backed away from you, a bit breathless as he licked his lips once more. “If this is another one of those weird ass flavors-“
“This one’s easy!” You smiled, as he rolled his eyes. “Need me to kiss you again?”
“I always need you to kiss me.” It was half a joke, a quarter of him accidentally speaking his mind, and mostly truth. You couldn’t help but laugh though, just briefly pressing your lips against his once more, surprised as he suddenly grabbed the back of your head and continued to kiss you. You squeezed his free hand and moved back, laughing at his look of pure adoration. You didn’t think anyone was capable of being this cute.
“Pina colada?”
“Yes.”
“Can I kiss you again?”
“Always.”

I Wanna Get You Back
Terzo x gn!reader
Summary: Terzo has a hard time adjusting to life since being fired by the clergy.
Warnings: Angst, hints of low self-esteem, grief, my inexperience with writing angst
Words: 2.3k
A/N: This was totally inspired by the song One Way Mirror by Ricky Montgomery. Also, a serious thanks to everyone who enjoyed the last one, y'all had me giggling and kicking my feet. I decided to try my hand at angst since I only ever write fluff. So yeah, hopefully this is enjoyable.
Tumblr media
The weeks following Terzo's return from a tour were usually euphoric. The man that you love would finally return to your side in need of much rest, much love, and much relief that only you could provide him. And you would do so gladly. This time was different.
Upon the bus's arrival, you were met with a very different sight. Omega had pulled you to the side and explained the situation. The devastation, the anguish Terzo was feeling over losing his position in such a public and humiliating manner. To be pulled off stage at the end of the performance- it made you livid for him. Could it not have waited? Could he not have been given the courtesy of privacy when he had been informed of his demotion?
You spent that night comforting Terzo, reassuring him that he was an excellent Papa, an outstanding performer, and a superb leader. But most of all, he needed to know that you wouldn't leave him. If he no longer had the power and status of Papa, surely you'd view him as a failure. What reason could you possibly have for staying with him? You were quick to hush those thoughts, cradling his head to your chest while you whisper words of praise and softly kiss the top of his head.
The weeks after that were not any easier. Terzo's humiliation turned into bitterness and anger and there were many occasions where he would snap at you even though you were just trying to help. But you tried to remain understanding and not take his hurtful words to heart. He was going through an extremely rough time, going from having everything to what felt like having nothing. And he had you through every step of the way. Terzo was grateful even if he didn't show it.
But soon, Terzo would begin to distance himself. He brushes off the help his brothers attempt to offer, be it with their company or words of advice. He doesn't want either of them to bother him. On top of that, Terzo tries to move away from you. It hurts, but once again, you try to be understanding. Although, it does get concerning when he locks himself in his room for days on end, so you help him by bringing him meals, dropping reassurances as you do in case he needs to hear them.
You knock on the door of his chamber, his warm plate of food in hand. "Terzo, it's me. I have your dinner."
You're left standing for a long while before Terzo finally makes it to the door, visibly disheveled. It was saddening to see someone usually so confident and comfortable with himself so depressed and far gone that he was unable to find the motivation to take care of himself. His hair, now beginning to grey, was completely tousled. He's still wearing the clothes he wore days ago and has not showered.
"Mind if I come in?" You ask, holding the plate out to him. Terzo simply grunts, taking the plate and walking inside, leaving the door open for you.
As you enter, you see the other two meals you had brought him that day almost completely untouched. You sigh and approach his now sitting form.
"Love, you need to eat." You say gently, rubbing his shoulder softly. Terzo scoffs, jerking away from your touch.
"I am not hungry." Terzo states defiantly. "Besides, I never asked for you to bring me anything."
A frown settles on your face when he says this. He had never been this resistant to help before.
"I know, but you aren't going to feed yourself otherwise." You sigh. "Please, just a few bites? I'll feed you if I have to." You joke, trying to get him to lighten up. It has the exact opposite effect. Terzo stands, a scowl on his face.
"That's how you see me, eh? A- A worthless idiota who can't even feed himself?" He questions, more hurt by your offer than amused.
"I never said that. It's not that I think that you can't care for yourself. You just won't take care of yourself." You defend. Why he is so upset, you don't know. All you are doing is trying to help. Why couldn't he understand that?
Terzo scoffs and rolls his eyes. "You didn't say it but I know you think it. You treat me like a child! A petulant child!" He says, raising his voice.
Terzo's yelling alarms you. In all of the disagreements you've had, he's never once raised his voice at you so unapologetically. His eyes do not soften and his teeth remain gritted in bitter rage.
"Well, that's how you're acting!" You shout back without thinking. Immediately, you regret it, not wanting to fuel his fire. You sigh, trying to deescalate the situation. "Love, I'm just trying to help you. I know losing your position has been hard-"
"You do not know! You have no idea how hard it's been. I worked so hard just to lose everything the moment the clergy started to doubt me." Terzo roars. He storms over to the table where his glass of whiskey lies.
"You did not lose everything. You lost your title, yes, but you still have your brothers. You still have your friends, a spot within the ministry. You still have me." You attempt to reason with him. Despite what he's going through right now, he's got a support system that you wish he would use.
"And what's that worth, eh?" Terzo downs more of his whiskey. "I can no longer perform, and what else am I good for?"
"Don't say that." You shake your head and step closer to him, ignoring the pain of him brushing off your importance in his life. "You know you're so much more than your performance on stage."
"Bullshit! You wouldn't have even glanced at me if I hadn't become Papa!"
You stare at him in disbelief. You love and care about him so much. You've been there for him through everything, and yet he believes that it was his power and status that drew you in. If you had known him before, you would have fallen for him just the same.
"You really think I'm that shallow? I love you, Terzo. Not Papa Emeritus III, but you. I always have and I always will. The world won't end because you're not Papa anymore. We will not end because you're not Papa anymore." You step forward, taking his hands in yours. Terzo frowns and avoids your gaze.
"Do not lie to my face." He grumbles, trying to take his hands back. Your hold tightens as you desperately try to get through to him.
"I'm not lying, I swear. What do I have to do to prove that to you?"
"Nothing! Just- Just leave!" Terzo says sternly, his eyes, fiery with anger, trained on yours.
"W-What? Terzo, please, just let me or your brothers help-"
"Leave. I'd be better off without you." The words pain him as they leave his mouth. This is for the best, he reminds himself. He's just sparing himself the pain for when you would eventually decide to leave him when you realize that you deserve better. You deserve the best, and he believes that he is not the one that can give you that. This mantra doesn't dull the ache in his heart, however.
His assertion completely destroys you. Tears begin to well up in your eyes as you process this statement. Terzo was so resistant to your help that he was pushing you out of his life entirely. It broke you. You solemnly nod, letting go of his hands. "Fine. If that's really what you want."
Terzo doesn't answer, breaking you down fully to tears. You withdraw yourself from his chamber, shutting the door quietly on your way out.
Terzo stares at the door, his lip quivering. Your tears break his heart and he begins to question himself, wondering if he made the right choice. You seem genuinely upset. Too upset to be faking your affection for him...
Shaking his head to clear these hopeful and foolish thoughts, Terzo sits back down in his chair, looking down at the food you left him. He thinks about the effort you put in to bring him the food, the care you must feel for him to push through the bitter and snappy exterior he's put up since returning from this tour. He really doesn't deserve you. He's known it the whole time, but he enjoyed your presence in his life too much to let you go. As Papa, he could spoil you with endless gift and devotion. But he could not provide that anymore. He had been selfish, hogging your affections. Finally, he did as he feels he should have long ago. Terzo doesn't feel any better- there is no relief or sense of righteousness. There is only pain and emptiness. Now that he's gone and done it, it doesn't feel like the right thing. He's lost a piece of him that he's not sure he can get back.
Over the course of a sleepless night, Terzo realizes just how big of a mistake he made telling you to leave. He didn't realize how much of a difference it made just to have someone care enough to check up on him, even if he was in a sour mood. Your sweet kisses, your gentle touch, your soft praises- he's not sure that he can live without it. He was ungrateful and selfish, which cost him the greatest thing he had in his life- you.
There's a reflection in the mirror that Terzo does not recognize. His face is bare, which is a huge change in itself. The wrinkles and the exhaustion were fully on display now that he couldn't hide behind his paints. His eyes hyperfocus on the greys popping up in his hair now that he's lost motivation to dye it. He remembers the moments where you would reassure him that the grey hairs made him even more attractive to you while you would press sweet kisses to his temple. The sound of your laugh haunts him. What he wouldn't give just to hear it again. Your laughter has become scarce since his return to the ministry. He's treated you so poorly as of late, and he needs to make that up to you.
The next day, Terzo is dead on his feet. He had been thinking about and regretting his actions the entire night. He also thought hard about your words. While he was still deeply saddened by losing his position, you were correct in that he had you and his brothers and it wouldn't be the end of the world if he had just let them in. Reluctantly, Terzo changes his clothes and brushes both his hair and teeth. It's the bare minimum, but it's more than he's been able to manage as of late. Then, he makes his way to your quarters.
A knock at the door pulls you out of your own slump. You too have been thinking about Terzo non-stop. With a sigh, you get up to answer the door. You hope it's Terzo, but after yesterday, it seems highly unlikely. But to your delight, it is.
He stands awkwardly in front of the door, fidgeting with his robe and gazing down at the floor, as if too guilty to make eye contact. Terzo looks up with a sheepish expression as he hears the door open. "Tesoro, I know you probably don't want to see me right now-"
"No, no, no. Come on in." You say eagerly. As much as he had hurt you yesterday, you were eager to make amends. His condition had improved at least a little bit and it made you hopeful. Surprised, Terzo enters the room. He looks around the familiar space and notes that it's in much better shape than his own room at the moment. Then, he turns to face you.
"Tesoro." Terzo begins nervously. "I am so sorry for my outburst. The truth is I would not be better off without you. I was... protecting myself, in a way."
You smile softly at the apology, but a hint of confusion creeps over your features. "Protecting yourself? What do you mean?"
Terzo sighs and steps closer to you, taking you hands in his, rubbing the back of your hand with his thumbs softly.
"I was paranoid. I've always had this little voice in the back of my head telling me that this is too good to be true. That you'd end up using me and leaving me." Terzo admits. "Not that I truly believe you would do that to me, stellina. I've just never been loved so genuinely. It's hard to believe that someone would involve themself with me without ulterior motives."
You remove your hands from his and trail them up his arms, shoulders, and neck until you gently cup his face. "I do love you and I always will. I will spend the rest of time proving that to you."
Terzo's arms wrap around your waist and pull you flush against him. He truly missed having you this close to him. In your arms, the misery and insecurity he felt leading up to this moment instantly vanished. Slowly, he leans in to kiss you. It's soft and tender, your lips molding together as if they were made for each other. He clings to you tightly, unable to bear the thought of being apart from you again.
Terzo pulls away, lips parted and expression warm. "I'm yours, tesoro. Forevermore."

Could I request Kiji (nanbaka) x male guard reader that always wears a clown mask (like the image without the red nose, instead it's just a normal nose) like no one's seen him without it.
https://pin.it/6LTfYpj (the clown mask, but without the red nose)
But without it on he's gorgeous?
For his personality I'm thinking he barely speaks but when he does he speaks in riddle's, oh and he laughs and giggles at lot, he sometimes just starts randomly laughing or giggling, btw he can be mean (he's barely ever actually nice, and he's not shy btw
Oh you can do this as a face reveal almost? (It wasn't him who chose to do it, it was an accident)
Handsome Clown
Kiji x m!reader
Characters: Kiji, Y/N, Ahato, Trois, Aki, Nico, Uno, Hajime and Jyugo
Genre: Fluff
A/N: Sorry I didn‘t do the riddle speaking since I have no idea on how to implant it, at the end Y/N is out of character, again I am sorry. Hopefully you like it. I had my fun in writing it. Also didn‘t do any beta reading
ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE. MISTAKES MAY BE THERE
‘‘If someone would to describe Building 3, they would say it‘s interesting. I mean there is one Guard who is everyones stylist in building 3, some dude who has an interesting way to dress up and than there is the most mysterious one of all these… A guy who wears a clown mask all the time, who almost never speaks and if he speaks,he speaks in riddles and everyone is left confused. He also randomly starts giggling or laughing.
No one really knows what his face looks like. Uno actually once tried to pry the mask off his face but it was like glued into his face. Many started rumoring that the reason he is wearing that mask, is because he is ugly under that mask. Y/N, the guard we are talking about, never denied nor confirmed these rumors and he never plans to until…
It was a nice morning for once in the Nanba Prison. ‘‘ So Y/N, it is very hot outside and you wear that mask… Isn‘t it hot under it?‘‘ asked one of the prisoners of Building 3, to be exact Trois. In the past he made clear that he had quite the interest in Y/N. Like expected there came no answer from Y/N. Why should he answer? It is none of Trois‘s Buisness. It was quite for while until Y/N started giggling. Like always it is random when he does. Ahato came into the picture : ‘‘ What‘s got you all so giggling?‘‘ Ahato asked and looked at Trois. He just shrugged. ‘‘Okaaayyy, anyways Y/N, Kiji wants to see you in his office‘‘ Y/N stopped giggling and just walked away without sparing a glance at the people who talked to him
‘‘So, why don‘t you take your mask of? I mean it is highly unprofessional for a Guard to wear a mask.‘‘ That was Kiji‘s first sentance as soon as Y/N closed the office doors. Kiji was joking. He just wants to see the face of the person who is infront of him. ‘‘Where is it you buisness on what I wear? Just look at yourself‘‘ Y/N said. Kiji should be offened at what he said but his voice was just so attractive. After just standing there Y/N just decided to leave. Little did he know that was going to be one of his biggest mistake.
Sometimes time is going at speed. Some days where time is going so slow that one hour feels like five hours and on other days times goes so fast that one hour was actually five hours. Today was one of the days where time is going fast. In just a blink it went from 8am to 12pm and with that also lunch time has started. So normally Y/N would go to the cafeteria, get his desired a food and leave to go to a private area to eat it food in peace. After he would be done Honey, Haru, Aki and Trois would sit at the table and would eat their food. Maybe if they are lucky Kiji and Ahato would also come.
Now before we start with the accident, I lied. One person has almost seen the face of the Handsome Clown (Y/N). It was none other than Kiji himself. As a human need, you need to shower. Usually Y/N Showers always alone, he waits until Ahato and Kiji are done so he can go. Well there was this one time were he was showering and Kiji just walked in and took the stall next to Y/N. Let me tell you, Y/N made it clear at the beginning the when he showers that he wants to be alone. Well Kiji forgot it apparently and just took the stall next to Y/N. ‘‘Kiji… what did I tell you guys at the beginning‘‘ Y/N said in a calm and scary voice. Kiji looked to the side and just the outline of Y/N face. He didn‘t saw the face of Y/N really.
(something similar like this, just behind a shower curtain and you behind it)
Tumblr media
Anyways after that you can say Kiji was lovestruck. He fell inlove with Y/N. You would think due Y/N Character that he would reject Kiji but no… Let‘s just say Y/N had always that deep down desire for Kiji. Y/N wants to keep up his facade that he built, he didn‘t want to end up like some other guards. He lived his whole life like that. Mean Face Guy. Kiji just somehow broke it. Don‘t worry he keeps up the facade during work but behind the private walls he let‘s the wall down, ONLY for Kiji Eyes. I mean of course only his voice tone. Kiji hasen‘t seen Y/N Face yet, simply because Y/N doesn‘t want to. You would think because of insecurity but nahh, he just too lazy to take off the mask, he only takes off the mask when he showers. He even sleeps with the mask on his face. Kiji thinks it‘s weird. The thing is, Kiji tried to take off the mask from Y/N‘s face when he was sleeping. Turns out Y/N has an inner sensor when someone‘s hand is near his face. He just grabbed Kiji‘s hand, before it touches his mask and just plain up coldy said ‘No.‘ After that Kiji never tried again.
Let‘s go to the said accident. Y/N grabbed his plate of food from the counter and walked to ‘his‘ section. He didn‘t get far. Uno from building 13 ran straight into Y/N and knocked both of them down. Somehow during this the mask slipped from Y/N face and EVERYONE saw his face. Some had fangirling moment, some passed out and some of them looked scared. Y/N didn‘t look pleased. Uno laid still on the ground meanwhile Y/N slowly stood up. He just looked at Uno, with an blank face. Yes it was a very classy way that his face was revealed. Y/N thought that someone steals his mask while he was showering and because of that he was forced to walk around without his mask to search for the thief. He thought that‘s how his face was being shown to everyone. He didn‘t expect it to be in a classy way. ‘‘Now, what were you thinking number 11?‘‘ Y/N asked. Uno was shocked and didn‘t bring out a peep. He just stared silently at Y/N with pure shock. Y/N took Uno by his collar and brought him really close to his face. ‘‘I asked you a question‘‘ Y/N said slow. His question was answered pretty fast? Why because an angry looking Hajime Sugoroku stromed into the cafeteria. Hajime‘s anger got even worse when he saw the scene infront him. ‘‘UNO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!‘‘ Hajime asked, he wasn‘t very pleased. Uno started to stutter but no real answer came out. Y/N let go of Uno and he fell down with a very loud thud. Y/N just grabbed his mask, put it on his face and just walked away.
He left everyone by surprise. No one dared to say anything.
AND that is how everyone got to see Y/N face‘‘ Nico explained to Jyugo. ‘‘I AM ONE DAY SICK AND I MISS EVERYTHING SPECIAL. WHY? Also Guard Kiji and Y/N are dating?‘‘ Nico just nodded
Somewhere in Nanba Prison:
‘‘My handsome clown, I love you sooo much‘‘ Kiji said with a lovestruck face. Y/N was just laying on his chest and smiled to himself and just cuddled himself as close as possible to Kiji, he said, more like mumbled an ‘I love you too‘.

I'm going to try to put my thoughts into some semblance of order, but will most likely fail. I have been thinking about this for a while. It's not a new viewpoint by any means and anyone is welcome to disagree of course, but as an asexual person, I was so happy with how Lower Decks approached the character of Billups.
By this I don't only mean the fact that he was never treated like a joke. That is, of course a big point in LD's favor: The situation in the S2 episode was funny, yes, but no one pointed and laughed at him, and no one (except his mother) insinuated that he was anything less than an accomplished officer. But what I liked the most was actually the fact that the episode refused to give a straightforward answer regarding his sexuality.
Tw for discussion of aphobia ahead
Let me give some context first. I was listening to the radio earlier today and in a lovely display of amatonormativity the punchline to a joke was, and I quote: "if someone reaches middle age and is still single, you should question it because something isn't right with them."
This was infuriating but so commonplace one can't really complain without being berated for it. "Lighten up, it's just a joke," but it isn't funny. Coming out as ace can quickly become an interrogation as to what prompted you to be this way. Why? Is it trauma? Were you in a bad relationship before? Is it hormonal? Are you really sure? You can so rarely just be, without having to deliver a presentation whenever the question comes up, all the while knowing you're most likely going to get a failing grade in the impromptu exam anyway.
Which brings me back to Billups and his limelight episode: ultimately, why he's a middle-aged virgin doesn't matter. The episode doesn't explain his exact reasoning beyond not wanting to inherit, and that is fine. Whether he's a sex-repulsed aroace man and that is what drove him to engineering, or an allosexual man who has chosen celibacy to pursue his goals shouldn't have to matter. It's his life, and there isn't a wrong way to live it, not when it comes to this.
And what we are told is that in the Federation, it truly doesn't matter. At no point is he asked to stop what he's doing in order to justify himself. He doesn't have to reassure Rutherford that he knows what he wants. He doesn't get a grudging pass only because he's ace, like we are some kind of weird, unknowable being: whether he has ever had sex or not and why is just irrelevant to the bonds he has made and the skills he has cultivated, as it should be today.
Hopefully we'll also get there, someday.

Joel Miller xTransMasc! Reader
Part l
Fluff, soft Joel, suggestive themes, first kiss, hard time expressing emotions, Ellie being Ellie
(Request from @devotedlyburningtree )
The woods air was thin and musky. You were on patrol with the town loner Joel Miller aka Tommy’s older and ….hotter brother. He was stern, hotheaded, and professional. Things that come very useful in this world of death and despair, but you gotta find things to fight for. He had his purpose a snarky girl named Ellie. Speaking off she was with us on this mission. It’s a very simple motion find any supplies especially medical supplies. The trees were swaying in the whistling wind. It was truly beautiful out in nature.“I gotta piss can we stop somewhere that has a bathroom” Ellie piped up, this was the first real questions she’s asked despite the horrible joke book riddles. “We should be comin’ up to a gas station in a few minutes” you state showing the younger hazel eyed girl the map. “Fuck yea, hopefully they have some snacks too I’m so sick of spaghettio’s” she says. You chuckle at her statement and look at Joel. He had a smile on his face.
It was nice to see, but the man barely ever looks at you. You wonder if he hates your or somethin but you’ve never done nothin to make him upset. This is like your 5th mission together, you never asked to be paired with him Tommy was the one that paired up teams to go out. Ellie was never meant to come but she’s stubborn like her..dad? You’re not sure what relationship they have, but it’s father and daughter like non the less. The gas station is in view and you have a bright idea. “Ellie I bet I can beat you to the gas station.” You look at her raising your eyebrow playfully. “In your dreams old man” she says as she starts sprinting towards the gas station. “I ain’t that old I’m like 30 or something.” You say while running past her. You run into the gas station doors and get bombarded by an infected. A runner to be exact. You cry for Joel as it makes you fall on the grimy floor. It instantly pounces on top of you its face growing little fungus sprouts out of the side. You use one arm to block it from your face and the other hand to grab a knife. You grab your trusty hunter knife and shove it into its neck. Throwing off the corpse you get up to see Joel struggling with a clicker. You run up behind it and kill it too. You were so busy with your right you didn’t even notice the other ones in the store. Luckily that was the last one.
“Jesus fuck I’m so sorry Ellie I just thought it would be fun” you say looking at her with extreme guilt, the feeling you could’ve gotten her or Joel hurt pains you like no other. “We made it through it’s okay, no bites” she says trying to lighten the mood. You look at Joel and he looks at you for a minute before turning his head away quickly. He seemed upset but you didn’t want to push it. “I’m gonna go piss” and with that Ellie was gone it was just you and Joel. You go over to put your hand on his shoulder and he tenses. “Hey Joel I’m sorry again I just thought I’d be fun” you look at him in his hazel eyes darker than normal. “I-it’s okay” he says sternly as he walks away from your grasp. You look down at the ground but then you see him limping. “Hey you feelin okay?” You say shakily hoping it’s not what you think it is. “Yea.” that’s all he says. “No sit down.” You state your voice more firm than normal. For once he doesn’t back talk or say anything he just listens to your command. You pull up his pant leg bracing yourself only to see a gnarly cut. “God damn old man didn’t want you to hurt yourself.” you joke trying to lighten to mood. He laughs softly and face goes flush.
You grab your backpack and take your med kit out. “I’m gonna get you cleaned up alright? And don’t say no cause I’m gonna anyway.” you look at him directly in his eyes and he looks sheepish. It’s funny seeing a man like him listen to a younger man like you. You carried the good part of his leg softly while you prep the alcohol pad. “This is gonna hurt like a bitch, you know this, look at me okay just focus on me.” You out the pad on his wound and he grunts and closes his eyes. You grab his hand and squeeze it making him open his eyes wide. “Eyes on me.” You state again as you rub it gently on it. He grunts and winces but does as he’s told. You couldn’t tell if his face was red cause of the pain or cause… no there’s no way it’s cause of you. He is straight…right? After the worst part is done you take your hand away from his and, he has a small frown. You start wrapping it around his leg and he still has his puppy dog eyes on you. “You gotta stop looking at me like that Miller first you never look at me now you’re glued to me” you joke hitting his knee playfully. “I’m just doin what I was told.” He says as the corner of his mouth turning into a smirk. Once you’re done wrapping his leg you give it a gentle pat and put the pant leg down.
“Hey guys I’ve been exploring and there is a house that’s clear near but I’m gonna go chill in there. Catch up whenever lovebirds” she says as she struts away. Joel’s face goes completely red. “She uh she’s got a mouth on her sorry.” He says as if it’s something you didn’t know. “Joel she’s always like that, I think she said that course you’re as red as a tomato.” Joel looks at you with fear in his eyes he’s stuttering trying to find words but nothing comes out. You grab his chin gently and make his wondering eyes look at you again. “Joel do you have something you wanna tell me?” you say gently trying not to startle him.
He looks like his hearts stopped and he’s just staring at you and your lips before he kisses you. It’s sloppy and clumsy but it’s perfect. Both of your hands grab his jaw and pull his face closer. Before anything gets more heated you pull away. “I asked you to use your words, Joel.” He looks sheepish again but clears his throat and speaks. “I never thought I took a liking to men too much, but being with you on these missions…you’re so great with Ellie, you’re funny, and can take care of yourself..I couldn’t just not uh have some sort of feeling for you.” He’s still flushed but more calm you take his hand and rub your thumb across his fingers. “I’m not great at this stuff but I really do like ya..and I’d want to take you out if you’d like.” He looks you in your eyes and he’s more comfortable now.
“Joel, I thought you hated me you never looked at me but this makes sense. I can’t deny you are quite handsome and you’re strong, independent, and a loving asshole. What more would a guy want.”you say looking at him adoringly. He rubs his neck and blushes as he looks down. you grab his chin and kiss him again. The kiss is more take this time. He leans into you more as you stand up guiding him to his feet. His muddy boots shuffling against yours and you back him into the wall. Your hands roam his soft body as you kiss down his neck. Sucking on a part right behind his ear as he groans. You nudge your leg between his as he rubs up against it. His hair falling into his face and his eyebrows furrowed. This man looked like a god. As he’s whining and whimpering as he grinds himself on your leg you hear a noice and both instantly pull apart.
“What the fuck is…” Ellie looks at both of you and your state and turns around. “My bad gouging out my eyes now” she says walking fast out of the gas station again. You look at Joel and his scared expression and start bursting out laughing. The look on the oldest man face is absolutely priceless. “Why are you laughing that is not funny.” He says looking at your seriously arms crossed and everything. He was lookin zesty as hell. His demeanor made you laugh even harder to the point you had to catch your breath. “You lean on him for support as he can’t help but smile at your silliness. “She’ll be fine.. but I feel like we should continue this in a safer place, yea?” You look at him quirking your head. He eagerly nods making you chuckle as you drag him by his hand to the house. Looking back at him you see a smile you can’t believe you have him. You cracked the old man into a softy and you couldn’t be more happy.

Please take time to read this
Hello, i’m ranting again but ffs Army are infuriating i simply cannot.. I’m making this post for my queer people but also for my non-queer people but who support the LGBTQ community. Again sometimes i’m really bad with words, i really don’t know how to put shit out there correctly but please bear with me.
So i’ve been on tiktok and that lovely girlie’s video popped up on my fyp (the same girlie i posted yesterday), basically the caption on the video was “Me watching homophobic “armys” throwing a fit bc queer armys find comfort in Jimin’s queercoded lyrics”, me being me i checked the comments and i come across shit like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way people are so very against any of BTS members being anything but straight and like to throw the “don’t assume” stupid comment, that “they never came out” “they never said it themselves” yada yada, bitch do you even know what queer coded means? Do you know what a code means to begin with?
People seem to forget that these men are in an environment that doesn’t allow them to just “come out” they can’t just fucking shout to the world that they’re fucking gay Patricia!
It’s the fact that Jimin has been dropping hints here and there to HOPEFULLY people can understand, can get the fucking message, but people are still out there wanting him to just say it as it is, they don’t understand the effort it take to fucking come out in a homophobic country in a God forsaken industry with entitled fans who can’t accept idols being non-hetero.
It’s like people are trying their best to break Jimin’s effort in trying to “set himself free” as he fucking just said from all this bullshit, from holding back, from “HIDING” bitch he literally said that wtf do you think he’s hiding from? The monster under his bed? The muffin man in his closet? Wake the fuck up! You’re stanning a man but refuse to understand him, refuse to give him a chance to express himself without having to put himself in a tough position.
I remember sharing before this one video from a tiktoker who made a joke about how queer celebrities deal with dating questions when they didn’t necessarily come out or weren’t intending to but still were trying to drop hints :
(Matt Taylor)
It is already hard enough for queer people to be accepted in this society and people keep on making it harder for them. People saying that your own personal interpretation shouldn’t be imposed on what Jimin means, if y’all keep on acting this way when the fuck are we ever going to understand him? Are we always going to put his efforts in vain? That man simply CANNOT COME OUT and you know what? He doesn’t HAVE to either, why tf do people think he will just trust such an entitled fandom to come out to them?
Bitches be really quick to deny the fact that they’re simply homophobic but Jan, could you please enlighten me on why tf do you get so fucking defensive whenever anyone mentions the possibility of any of these men being queer? Them assholes aren’t even ready to accept that Yoongi, the man who ACTUALLY said it, is queer let alone making effort to understand Jimin.
I won’t say this enough, i will obviously not repeat it enough but THIS is why Yoongi said that FANS, MOTHERFUCKING FANS will understand not Army cause y’all only hold the fandom’s name nothing more. So fucking entitled and want everything handed to them on a silver plate. Now the narrative is that queer people aren’t “supposed to look a certain way” aka members who look “manly” are surely not queer. Yesterday again i came across a tiktok of a dude doing a prank to his BOYFRIEND, here’s what they look like :
Tumblr media
Now don’t bullshit me on “this is not what i mean when i say manly” cause i know perfectly that this is the exact image some people picture in their head for how men looking like that can’t be gay. You want Jimin to feel comfortable enough to come live often, to share things with us, to see him perform, bla bla bla but how tf can he be comfortable with your sick asses when he can’t even be given a chance to be understood, to not put him under the projector?
People assume that you just gotta tell the world about your sexuality and that’s it, easy peasy lemon squeezy, such a happy world and everybody will be accepting yey
Tumblr media
You don’t know the struggle of fighting to let yourself known to others without being put in a risky situation as a common person let alone as a celebrity in a very unforgiving industry, people tend to forget that it can be career threatening, so just for your own comfort you’ll have these men risking everything just so you can have that verbal validation?
I’m going back to the term “Queer coded” It’s called that way because there are “CODES” used by a person to hint to their sexuality and if your illiterate asses could spare 5 mins to google what that means y’all would’ve been 10 times smarter.
If you can’t support Jimin, or any member really, the right way, please see yourself out these 7 men really don’t need no more of these people as part of this fandom, it’s already hard with straight up haters and now they have to deal with supposed “fans” who can’t do shit correctly.
So please for my queer people, let's do our best to support and let our boy know that we understand we get it and we are sending him all of our love and for people who support the community and still understood Jimin and are supporting as well, thank you, thank you so much for being amazing, thank You.

Chapter 233 Analysis
So don't worry I'm still alive. Life decided to just kick my ass and could actually get this done but doing it now!
So just to make this clear at the start, i don't inherently dislike stories of women using their sexuality to their advantage. Ie the sexy assassin type stories, I've said it before but I was a sex worker and that very much does effect the way I look at and analysis media.
Though stories like that often run a very thin line between just sexism and sexualization. I think the main way to tell the difference is the reason why the the person is using their sexuality is such a way. In lore olympus with hera.. it's a story about women using their sexuality as a form of power.. it's women being sexually abused to hopefully save themselves from more pain.
Tumblr media
Hera has no power in this situation, and it's not an empowering story because it's just about a women being forced to let herself be raped and lastly rs just doesn't give the time and energy to actually respect the sexual assault of hera. It shows terribly in this chapter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This episode starts.. alright. I don't fully mind hera being haunted by kronos, it's honestly sort of terrifying. The problem is that we aren't given enough time to actually sit and grow with this, Rs just can't spend the time she's given well enough to put it towards this event.
One of the first things we learn after the kronos fight is that he wants hera... it takes us another like 17 or so episodes to learn that kronos the main villain is fucking hunting hera. This is such a big and important event that just gets ignore and rushed in one chapter. We see her struggling with this, we even in like one panel how it is actively effecting her others relationships.. but we only get one panel. Like you can imagine a scene where hera gets uncharacteristically angry at echo and we aren't even a reason why till we get like a shot with kronos in a reflection with hera. There are ways this could've been set up and made it so much more impactful but then it's just ignored till it's needed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also again rs just has so many great points to make interesting drama that she just ignores... like the whole missing ten years thing is barely brought up. Most people just continue as normal. This line is a fucking insult cause like.. besides one panel of them hugging WE HAVEN'T SEEN HERA WITH HER DAUGHTER. like holy shit all this time could have been spent so much better.
Tumblr media
Now I honestly don't think the child has been even mentioned since it was told to hera.. also having hera being the only one mentioning the child.. and when she is she's being literally raped... really makes persephone and hades look even worse. Also again.. this chapter didn't have a trigger warning.. and it really fucking should.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
now I don't fully dislike this plot point... like the idea of it.. same way I don't dislike the idea of persephone sexual assault. My problem with it isn't the fact that sexual assault happened.. it's how it's dealt with. We have this dramatic build up and while it's not explicitly stated it's pretty clear that hera was just fucking raped.
now instead of giving this really upsetting and serious plot point time to breath.. rs decides to immediately go to a cut away joke? about how haha persephone and hades are engaged and dumb drama with that. It's just such a tonal shock that just fundamentally doesn't work. Rs you literally couldn't done the exact same thing you did with persephone rape. Give a few quite panels of reflection and just... let a chapter go by without Perspehone and Hades.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We barely even see heras own reaction to what happened to her.. the literal rape that just fucking happened is basically completely ignored for the rest of the chapter. We don't have a few panel of someone asking hera why she wasn't answering the phone. No one acknowledges what happened and instead it's time for dumb Hades and Persephone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This chapter, which is mainly about hera being sexually and emotionally abused... ends on the happy note where the main characters are going to get married. It's just... feels so disrespectful. Rs you could make this chapter like 80% better by just removing all the stuff with the marriage and instead just having a few panels of hera actually being effected by her rape.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now I've taked about how the whole rushing into marriage with Hades and Persephone is bad.. but it really shows the most in this chapter. A chapter that regardless if you are a fan or critic should objectively be focused solely on the rape of hera... instead is just made so much worse by adding this... It's been what.. an hour maybe two at most since hera was literally sexually assaulted and she's just completely fine and shows no effects of it.
Like it's so clear the bias towards hades and persephone that rs has.. literally every single story outside of theirs suffers because of them. Why are you making stories that and obviously more important then them getting married if you want the focus on them being married. Kronos should have just been fully defeated.. adding all this other shit just makes them look like terrible people and makes it clear that they don't actual care.
Despite season 3 not being finished yet... I'm pretty sure this is going to be by far the worse chapter.. just because rs decided that a rape should happen right before the main characters getting married.
