A bit ago I made my own rewrite of Millie as a challenge and ended up loving her so much I put her into my own project (adjusted so there's no copyright infringement and she fits \w world-building)

I seriously think Viv doesn't want to put any effort into characterizing Millie. Like I don't think she's bad at it, I just think she doesn't want to.

Even outside of a text in a doc form of characterizing, there are ways in visual media to add depth to your character. Random scene to explain my thoughts, I.m.p. Having a meeting to plan things before a murder: Wanna characterize Millie as an overzealous maniac? Have her rocking back and forth in her chair, pumped up, ready to go the exact second they finish up. Wanna make her sweet and caring to contrast her fucked up job? Make her take notes, nod along, and when they head out have her check up with everyone. Is she better at her job than the others and knows it? Have her pay attention during the planning parts but more distance during unimportant pieces, weapons laid out on the table to pick the very best one for the job. JUST SOMETHING PUT SOMETHING THERE, PLEASE!!!

The way other characters are around her doesn't help.

Moxxie could be the one thing holding her back from trying to clear out every ring and so he intervenes anytime shes slightly annoyed, blitz could see her as a rival for murder or a scapegoat for everything, Sallie Mae could be by her side the entire time she's on screen, striker could respect her for her strength and loyalty but hate her for the fact she's a suck up to royalty or too energetic or because she's a wild card, Loona could have her as the only person she shares a hobby with and being a slightly protective cus of it, her parents could be overly doting and ask if she's been taking care of herself and acting less self-sacrificial, Chaz could avoid her the entire episode out of fear and then have his fear be justified during the wedding! These are the ideas I thought up in 20 minutes, and you don't have to change much for the antagonists or her family!

Like even her design shows literally nothing! Jack. Shit.

Wacky hairstyle, scars, more than 2 colors, any thought put into the outfit at all, accessories, Body type (to an extent), posing, anything!!! That's all I'm gonna say about design cus I could go all day with the hypotheticals because there's SO FUCKING LITTLE TO HER I CANT EVEN RUN WITH WHAT'S THERE!!! I have to make up things about her just to demonstrate how little Viv has tried with even the most BASIC characterization. There's nothing to Millie, not even poorly written things, just actually nothing!!! I've seen characters who can be summarized with a handful of words, don't have a single line of dialogue, and have a backstory that's a sentence long be characterized better than her!!!

It's actually a bit impressive how little Viv has tried! It's like she's actively avoided giving her even the slightest base-level character!

Millie is a plot device to clean up blitz and moxxies messes.

okay so if i may. be honest. iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii am very torn abt still making rwby stuff for like idk 3 or 4 different reasons. Maybe More. and its something ive been picking at for a hot minute and i still dont have an answer nor do i expect to get one any time soon BUT. whatever. what is a blog but a place to shit my thoughts onto.

i've been feeling bad lately abt tagging my art and fic as rwby because lets all be real here. me and canon have been divorced for a few years at this point. and as fun as it is to run around with my interpretations of these characters as i have been doing since like 2018 i do feel like im at a point where its like. Why Am I Even Tagging It. its basically not even. rwby any more. lol.

"so why not file off the serial numbers yanno? make em yr ocs and do shit with em that way" Well The Thing Is It's Not That Shrimple, You See. cause i've built this interps around the canon of rwby right. like for the way i write blake and velvet and so on so forth the faunus are like a THING. that i cant REMOVE. FUNDAMENTALLY. like if i take them from there into a new ecosystem (my brain) they're gonna die. and you might be like ah well you can make them into animal people with a different cause!!!!!!!! it's not copyrighted!!!!!!!! you are you Right but also i'll b honest team. that tightens up the audience like a butthole. most people would see a bitch with funny ears and literally feel too divorced from reality to care abt em. which is. a problem.

anyway. i also didnt watch v9 of rwby and dont intend to tbh. ive really stopped caring for a long time and now that v10 is probably never gonna get greenlit because of. The Problems. im like. hm. this feels like im gonna start drifting hard and find something else to occupy my brainhole more than rwby but im also SO ATTACHED to my beans............ like the reason im even still writing shit for rwby is because i love the characters and the way i write the characters and a few select others (kiss kiss to my fwends) and whilst i wont stop. loving them. it's hard to let them go. because even if i make an oc tomorrow who is basically my velvet in every way Well. It Still Ain't Velvet. and she'll lack all the things that made me LIKE velvet. yanno. so.

anyway this isnt meant to be a conclusive series of thoughts. its more like. hhhhh. i have a lot of personal projects on the go that're sort of expanding in my brain (follow @mundanearcane if you wanna see my slowly updating devlog on my terrible idea for the ttrpg that nobody has stopped me making yet) and obviously fallout is always my baby over on @nishaapologist and im never gonna stop loving fallout on account of. sarah lyons. existing. BUT. basically if i seem less like. enthused abt rwby. its cause. of the above. yah.

Im rolling off of ganyu's story quest, that he would be strict with his chat and have many mods to control their outrageous behavior. His fandom would probably would be the most well behaved out there.

But if he gets hate? Prayin for them. I hope they're okay. Passive aggressive threats 😰

I can see him playing occasionally with Hu Tao or Childe, maybe in a horror game he doesn't know about

I dont see him actually screaming or getting scared? More like a huff and "you guys are dramatic" thing but on the rare occasion he is scared its just a swift movement of the mouse and maybe he hit his mic thats all. A few curse words thats it.

The games he would play?

I can see him playing multiple games, mostly small indie game devs from itch.io maybe a few big games but he likes giving credits to smaller game devs on steam and other websites but on occasion he posts a poll just in case his viewers get bored of his style :/

Another thing, he would absolutely have a day dedicated to having no mic or anything just him playing a game like Unpacking or Minecraft, or calm game like stardew maybe some soft copyright free music.

feral fans for xiao. yes. they see him as their god, too beautiful and skilled for this world. this man doesn't only have a model face but is also a very skilled gamer (professional gamer in valorant, wins in minecraft contests all the time, etc.) and his style... OH AND HIS HAIR. you bet it's his friends who thought eyeliner would make his eyes pop (goddamn he's just beautiful and gorgeous and-) you bet xiao has like the whole color palete just as eyeliners. and he slays in every color

xiao has an army of mods. most of them are older than him, which is why he chose them, and they are very strict with the rules. because yes, you have to keep his fans at a very, very, VERY tight lash. he literally trains them- they can be feral in his twitch chat, his comments, but as soon they are in other fandoms/chats/whatever, they must behave. and they do. nobody wants to be responsible for a disappointed xiao. he is very strict with his chat, but let's them have their 5 minutes (chat always breaks in those 5 minutes lmao)

Sound like a dying cat? They dont care. They know from the kids at daycare that singing is a good way to express joy. So doesn't matter if you're off tune, doesnt matter if you're perfect, they're absolutely over the moon (no pun intended) you're so happy you're singing. So apparently McLaren didnt post anything about Dans interview because:

1. Supposed copyright laws thats never stopped anyone from posting something similar ever, somehows applies to this interview. They couldnt simply quote tweet one of the Daily Shows own tweets about it for some reason.

2. Their twitter person apparently doesn’t have access to the other social media members, which somehow means they couldn’t post this. (I honestly have no idea why this means they cant do their jobs, cause if true why are they employed, it also never stops them posting anything else) And also how in this day and age do you not have access to other people, espeically whn youre job is sm.

Honestly McLaren fans are stretching themselves to try and make this ok.

Tbh i cant think of any framework for defining ai models as theft that could not also be applied to piracy. And i find the idea of 'uncompensated labor' to be....a stretch given you the artist still own the product of your labor - your art, and are able to sell it or otherwise profit from it. In situations where your employer held the rights to any work you created under them then it may become applicable, but that seems to take a backseat in convos compared to examples where the artist owns their own work and any profits made from it.

Which is not to say i dont think ai models developed using free data being put behind paywalls is okay. I do think its a dick move, comparable to private pharma companies using public funding and resources to develop vaccines the public must pay to access.

But this whole ongoing saga for me raises a lot of questions on how we apply the idea of 'theft', and more importantly why is it not enough for something to be seen as simply disrespectful without falling back on capitalist laws regarding property ownership.

Plagarism is a more relavant term imo for describing a lot of the grey areas regarding using ai tools to imitate a specific artists' work and so on. Though i get the sense much of the debate is coming from the perspective of business rather than art in that artistic debates on what constitutes plagarism are ongoing and not as easily defined in clear rules.

Which is why i always come back to thinking that you can think someone's behaviour is dishonest or disrespectful without pushing for it to be punishable under law.

A lot of these arguments rooted in copyright and so on also just dont feel applicable to me as someone working in a traditional medium and who doesnt make money via merchandise of my art but by sales of one-off works.

In some ways i do think i am at an advantage over digital artists but thats more i guess about how digital art lags behind traditional in terms of offline resources and spaces (galleries guilds etc etc).

But also i feel there is a hesitancy to admit that the nature of self-employment is precarious and the concerns outlined wrt ai are not new concerns, just the old ones with a new hat.

Guaranteed wage seems a lot more appealing to me than having to do the whole small business grindset thing. I dont want a world where i can weaponise copyright to protect my profits, i want a world where it doesnt matter if my art is profitable or not. Arguing for the former does not bring us closer to the latter, it just furthers the positioning of artists as business owners.

This is yet another disjointed ramble but ah well

They should make a dragon ball racing game. Every player has a unique ability or item that you get to use by getting item blocks like on mario kart. Or maybe they're senzu beans. And if you collect all the dragon balls by the end of the grand prix then something cool will happen.

Also there should be special carts that you can unlock that have duos. And they have a special item AND ability.

Also the special carts have unique soundtracks that YOU CANNOT TURN OFF LMAO but you get to choose if you want just one song to loop or for it to cycle through all 3 (bc there are 3). And the songs are real songs that exist and are copyrighted so nobody knows why this is a thing.

Here are my ideas for the Special Carts .. excluding the soundtracks bc nobody cares and it will clog up my post

(Note: normal characters need an item block to do their special thing. Special characters have two special things, and item and an ability, and they can use their ability at any time. This makes them OP so maybe you cant play as them in plot-based Grand Prixes or certain multiplayer Grand Prixes.)

"Gotenks and Gogeta Skatepark Adventure"

In game bio: Stop, stare, then jump out of the way! Gotenks and Gogeta are after the Gold Cup and have chosen some sick boards as their vehicles of choice. This dynamic duo of father-and-son possess the unique ability to change who's in the lead, and will drive differently depending. Lead as the quick and nimble Gotenks or the sure and strong Gogeta as you shred the rails of the Grand Prix!

The cart: The hitbox is like one long cart but it's the two of them separately on skateboards, one behind the other

Special Item: I dont know actually. Gotenks as his own player has Kamikaze Ghosts that work like Bob-ombs, so maybe that carries over here?

Special ability: Can switch between being a Heavy cart or a Small cart whenever

First place Grand Prix animation: Gotenks has the trophy and looks stoked and then we see a hand come down and ruffle his head. It zooms out and we see Gogeta standing next to him, then we see the rest of the podium where Second place and Third place are looking considerably less cool.

"Mr Satan and Goten Roadtrip Adventure"

Bio: I domt know I domt really want to write all these bios. It's EOZ Goten and Mr Satan and they're on an epic roadtrip and mr Satan is smoking 6 cigars and Goten has gas station snacks and it's completely ballistic and awesome

The cart: Super expensive sports car. You can see the top of their heads and occasionally snacks fall out of Goten's window (they do nothing they're just a particle effect). Mr Satan's hand on the wheel has 4 cigars in between the digits

Special Item: Cocaine Bump. Makes you go fast

Special Ability: Can run people off the road. Basically you can hook onto to/hone in on another cart, and you go faster when doing so, and once you reach them you bump them away. If they're a light cart they go flying, if they're heavy they get knocked over but not too far. Only works in straight stretches, turning disengages it. Useful to clear opponents and to simply move faster.

First place animation: Mr Satan doing a double peace sign only hes got a cigars pinched between his fingers. He looks WIRED. Goten is there holding gas station snacks and the trophy and just looks so stoked.

"Future Trunks and Goten Fratboy Adventure"

Bio: What's this? Trunks seems to have made an egregious error. While attempting to go back to the good timeline to get froyo with his father, he must have mishandled the controls; he now finds himself in EOZ time of the good timeline! However, before he can attempt a retreat, a fratboy with familiar eyes recognizes him, and, after hearing his story, offers to take him out for a night on the town. Fratboy style.

Cart: IDK but Goten is driving and Future Trunks is sitting on the back of the cart and hes wearing fuschia hot pants. Hes holding onto something but mostly it's kind of a seductive pose.

Special item: IDK. Something fratboy-esque. Molotov cocktails? Firework rockets? Urinal shits? Solo cups of beer? I dont know at this time

Special ability: Throw confetti on the road. It's fun and looks cool and also if a cart is directly behind you and ON your ass then the confetti temporary blinds them. The perfect rebuttal to the Mr Satan and Goten cart's ability

First place animation: Doing the tango briefly and sloppy-style on the podium and Future Trunks has a crazy straw in his mouth like it's a rose. I know it's called Fratboy Adventure but between the hotpants and the confetti and the tango it feels more like a gay bar thing. Well anyway

"Vegeta and Tarble Go Clubbing Adventure"

Bio: vegeta needs someone to go clubbing with so hes brought his annoying brother and sister-in-law along blah blah blah.

Cart: IDK smth epic.

Item: I dont even know

Ability: I DONT EVEN KNOW I just want this in the game. It's got a good soundtrack

First place: Vegeta crosses him arms and sort of smirks but is trying not to show his satisfaction. Then Tarble and Gure butt on screen on either side and piss Vegeta off. Tarble is holding the trophy and Vegeta has huge boobs

as much as i want to say i do, i haven't made an animatic since my last video was posted on youtube. i used to be able to put out a video every month or so for a while but now adays i'm just... way too tired lol, and when i do have the intense drive to do another one i no longer have the editing software i was most familiar using (I used to use windows movie maker and now you cant get it anymore), with most if not all other editors i've tried having to be paid for or being far too busy HUD wise to make sense of. i have drafts of old projects and things i got halfway started; animatics for full songs from musicals or just songs i like in general, wanting to tell my stories through that medium as i found i had a real passion for storyboarding. unfortunately, alongside the fatigue, youtube takes down or demonetizes any video that has to do with copyright music, so... no, i guess i don't. i want to so, so badly, and it gets overwhelming sometimes how sad i feel knowing that i'm never going to be able to make the content i dream of the way i used to, but at least i still have the art that i draw that in some small way depicts what the broader idea for those things are. i'll always have my channel up in case one day i do actually go at it again, or even just as an archive, but that's my sober answer for now.

You need to back up your ON break up theory with more than just fake subs and vague statements about 'claiming behavior'.

During the period you allege they were broken up, Jimin pulled Jungkook in a hug on run behind, Jungkook called Jimin sexy at a press conference, Jimin and jungkook did that whole 'how does it feel to be in the same unit'/'time to change' flirty thing, Jimin grabbed Jungkook by the lapels... and more. Begging pardon but if they were grieving the loss of their romantic relationship while trying to be professional colleagues and pals.... isnt that sort of insensitive? Like I know you admitting you might have read it wrong and have changed your view in light of new footage might be a blow to your ego, but I don't think you are thinking rationally when you insist on this break up theory. It's sad because I found so much meaning and connection in some of the stuff you have written, particularly pertaining to internalized homophobia, racism, mysogynoir and bts changing over time to become more enlightened, but your devotion to this ONE theory, and defensiveness whenever it is (rightly imo) challenged makes me wary of your theories in general, which might be extremely unfair to you, as a thinker. Your log is really funny and great in a lot of ways so i cant really quit you.

I give myself permission to hold unpopular views. I give myself permission to think differently from others. I think the problem for me here is, I feel tasked to convince rather than to share my opinion on the matter or even expand on my theories for discourse sakes and that makes me really uncomfortable.

Not to psychoanalyze you, but I feel when you ask this of me you are not just asking me to divulge my thoughts on a topic but to disabuse you of your own biases surrounding the topic.

I don't think this is about my opinion at all. I think it's about your own beliefs about Jikook. And there's nothing wrong with that. If you believe in something you need to stand for it. Just don't mind if others do same and don't call them names for doing so. Because if you do mind, then that's bigotry.

The fact is my opinion contradicts your beliefs about Jikook and you either want to punish me for it hence the slurs, are in denial, or you want to believe my point of view- can't really tell.

Lemme just cut to the chase. I've reached my photo limits. I have said a countless times now, that I don't view skinship and all these interactions you've pointed out as indication two people are dating- especially not two Koreans working within the homoerotically charged space of Kpop.

And I have given out a few of the metrics I use in considering whether any ship in BTS is real over the course of my blogs- intimacy, exclusive behaviors such as and not limited to claiming eachother and exercising certain rights and authorities over eachother and against the group, stress trails as a result of keeping their relationship a secret, the microaggressions, breaching the fourth wall and others.

I think what this comes down to is differences in perspectives on a fundamental level. Not egos.

I don't see the things you see as the signs Jikook are real and dating, as signs Jikook are real and dating. If I did, I would be seeing every ship in BTS as real but I don't.

And you consider the metrics I use in ascertaining Jikook as vague something something. I think we are at an impasse.

But explain the bit about 'insensitive' to me please. I would love to engage in that discourse. Why would it be insensitive for two exes to act cordially with eachother within a workplace in the aftermath of a breakup?

I mean I don't disagree but I also don't think Jikook are gonna come to work with oversized pajamas, dark shades, boxes of tissues and a blanket slung over their shoulders because of a broken heart... it's 2020 not Manila. They've grown, are learning and getting better at dealing with their emotions on camera because, as Suga pointed out, they are aware the least bit of tension translates to the screens.

I mean Jimin said it himself in his 2020 interview, he's learned to react less intensely to certain things. And sometimes, he tries to downplay certain things. He tries to perform Jikook when Jikook are not in a great place. It's only in recent times, On era, where JK has opted out and not gone along with it.

I think he does that and uses their shared 'Jikook agenda' and performances of Jikook as a means to fix things or break the ice between them at least.

But clearly Jk wasn't having it that day as he kept putting up boundaries with Jimin throughout that Run episode- unless of course you are disputing this as well on the grounds Jimin dragged his ass into a hug. Chilee.

I think most people wouldn't have felt there was something off with Jikook in that On period at all had it not been for Run 116. It's similar to how, had it not been for Jimin's birthday saga, the Esquire shoot behind scenes and Grammy reaction video, no one would have felt there was something going on between Jikook in the October timeline.

I think we would have seen and felt the less interactions and professionalism between them in the aftermath of it but for the most parts, moments like the couch scene in the Grammy reaction video wouldn't have made sense to any of us especially as we had just witnessed JK in the ON:E concert rushing to comfort and console JM when he was tearing up at the end of the concert.

At least when he pushed JM into a ditch somewhere in the dark in Soop we know he had been drinking and they were playing competitive sports. Even with that he still showed some concern when Jimin fell and injured himself afterwards.

I think we would all be wondering if Jikook were fanservice at that point, a fanservice relationship where JK only consoled Jimin when he cried infront of thousands of people at concerts and nibbled his ear while he was at it.

And I think we would be on opposite sides of the argument: me, arguing Jikook were experiencing a hiccup in their relationship and you, rationalizing that moment with anything from 'JK don't have to be at JM's beck and call' 'he is an introvert who is shy to show affections publicly' to even something about the weather.

But I would have looked at this moment from the October pop up video behind scenes and assumed JK was mad at Jimin for something JM had done and had done something in retaliation and was now feeling sorry he did.

And I would have based it off of this moment, or a countless similar ones from around On era or the previous eras where JK had done this exact same thing- frozen in place and staring at Jimin in the middle of a shoot or interview after sliding his hands down Tae's chest, clung on to the others unnecessarily to get a reaction out of JM.

Would I have been right? It really doesn't matter to me as long as it makes sense to me. I ship Jikook in a way that makes sense to me. Jikook are gay, in a gay relationship with each other and are human like anyone of us- that makes sense to me. Whether I am right or wrong.... who cares and why does it matter?

Personally, I think the only person grieving in that period was JK not JM and I don't think he grieved for long before he switched off his humanity and went stone cold tit for tat terminator on JM and BTS's ass. Lol. He had JM looking all kinds of subdued in that era. Lmho.

People grieve in various ways. In my opinion. For Jimin, I feel he puts on a strong facade most times when he has to film during such times and lately I feel he masks his emotions with anger.

Jk masks his pain with anger too sometimes but I feel in recent times, he is leaning more towards indifference. I think he tries not to be as affected by certain things as compared to the early half of 2020...

But I understand what you mean when you talk about grieve. I think for me rather than look for physical evidence of grief like a sad face, a tear drop dripping down a face, I love for vulnerability in them.

JK's is easy to tell because he tends to open himself up to others such as Tae or Jin or Hobi- and I don't mean like his interactions with them. I mean he leans on them for moral or emotional support.

In the Holiday remix video where he was hiding behind Jin, I felt he was feeling very vulnerable and exposed after that intense moment with Jimin.

It's what he does when he is feeling vulnerable. He turns to others especially Jimin and if Jimin is the cause of his vulnerability he turns away from him like he did within On era or even in Run 116.

When he is in a good place with Jimin, often he is closed off to the others. Jimin does the opposite. He shuts himself up entirely from the group. I don't think he likes to go through his pain by himself.

I've always found that bit fascinating about them. Jk opens himself to people when he is at his lowest while JM closes himself off when he is at his worst.

It played out in their rainy day fight as well. In JK's vulnerability, that's when he let Jimin in, lowering his walls while JM on the other hand closed himself off to him.

Can you give me more than they were together in that period because they played with eachother's lapels?

You don't think I'm thinking rationally when I insist on my theory? Uhmmm... okay? What is rational in this case?

Listen, I recieve a lot of hate for my 'irrational thoughts and opinions' out in these streets. I've lost potentially great friendship on this platform because of it. As I type this, there is someone in someone else's DMs persuading them not to read and engage with my posts because I'm extremely evil I think Jikook break up from time to time in their relationship.

If I genuinely believed in the slightest least or had the least doubt that Jikook were together in that period I would change my mind on the topic- damn my pride and ego. It simply isn't worth the hustle.

If it helps your sanity, please stop reading my blogs. My blogs are not for everyone. It makes some people happy, it makes some people mad and some people experience both.

My gratification is in sharing my thoughts and chronicling Jikook's journey for my own appeasement and support of Jikook. I owe it to them as a believer and a supporter to humanize them as much as possible.

I do not seek to convert others, change minds, or convince anyone of my opinions or to disabuse anyone of theirs.

Let's just agree to disagree on the matter please. Or if you can drop the ad hominems, I would be more than happy to go back and forth with you on this very topic. It's actually shaping out to be one of my favorite Jikook eras. I love me some terminator JK. Lol.
