The only thing that keeps me sane while reading Lore Olympus (surprisingly, I still read it to check on new updates of the characters anatomies) is to see lovely panels like this one from chapter 260, where Hermes hands over a letter from Persephone to Demeter.

Other than the panels, it gives me such happiness to see Hermes, and since I love Hermes, I decided to recreate the panel and make it look like Hermes is handing a love letter to you.

Hermes

Origin: Hermes came from the god Pan, who was the god of the wild lands. Hermes’ name literally means “piled stones” and refers to the sacred piles of rocks people would create in the wilderness to help travellers find their way.

What he’s the god of: Journeys and pathways and doors and exits and travellers and travelling. Tricksters, trickery, underdogs, sneakiness, liars, lying.

Other responsibilities: Psychopomp, aka he brings the souls of dead people to the afterlife.

Symbols: He has a snake staff that he uses for doing magic and wings on his feet that he uses to “run” through the sky.

The way that Percy looks at Annabeth when she admits to stealing Hermes keys 🥹

He’s so impressed. Not just because of her skills, but because she stole from one of the gods.

Annabeth is only just starting to break away from the unwavering adherence to the rules of respecting the gods. The first time we saw her do that was talking back to Hephaestus in Episode 5, when Percy was frozen in gold. He’s never seen her willingly do something that could be counted as disrespectful to the gods and he’s so proud of her for it.
