I’ve seen a lot of pro-aborts blame pro-life laws for women facing complications in their pregnancy and the doctors not doing anything about it. They say doctors are scared to take care of women because of abortion bans. When pro-lifers say it’s the doctors fault and it’s medical malpractice, they still blame us.

This past weekend my sister-in-law informed me that her pregnant sister had some bleeding. Her midwife told her to visit the doctor and ask for an ultrasound. The doctor told her there was no reason to and sent her home. Her midwife was pretty upset about her doctor ignoring her request and demanded they do an ultrasound. The ultrasound found she has Placenta Previa and is on bed rest now.

According to Journal of Pregnancy, “Placenta previa and placental abruption have long been recognized as major obstetric complications that result in maternal and fetal mortality as well as morbidity.” No law prevented him from doing an ultrasound to make sure her baby was okay and figure out why she was bleeding. There’s always been an issue with doctors not taking women’s concerns seriously. This has nothing to do with pro-life laws and has everything to do with the failure of medical care women receive from the doctors we are supposed to trust. Women deserve better.

How am I supposed to be normal when I have to wait a whole week for Grover and Annabeth to learn Percy isn’t actually dead and they didn’t just loose another friend who sacrificed themselves to buy them more time and Annabeth didn’t just loose one of the only people who ever cared about her without making her earn it all because she wasn’t able to see he was tricking her and Grover didn’t break his promise to Sally and do you understand me? That after Percy fell Echidna and the chimera would have come after Annabeth and Grover which could only mean one thing and they had to leave the arch believing they failed? How long do you think they had to wait until Percy came out of the river? How long did they sit beside each other, not saying a word because they failed, they failed again and now they have to finish this quest alone?

in the winter you’ve always gotten a horrible cold, and mike is always prepared for this. every winter he tries his best to bundle you up before you go outside but you always swear “it’s not that cold out!” partially because you don’t like layering up and mostly because you like when mike takes care of you when you get sick.

but now you regret not wearing his jacket outside, it’s -10° out and you are freezing. all you want to do is sleep but mike wants to be by your side through this. mike has always taken a care-giving roll in your relationship, especially when you’re sick.

“i’ll be there in a second y/n! i’m cooking you some soup!” he yells from the kitchen, at this point you’ve got 3 comforters and a heater going but you are still so cold. “alright mike” you painfully yell back, your throat sore.

mike comes back with ibuprofen, a bowl of chicken noodle soup and a heating pad. he knows you so well. “stop don’t sit up let me get you comfortable!” he says clearly worried to death about you. mike lays you back down, uncovering you to hand you the heating pad.

“do you think you can handle some soup baby?” he asks you. “yeah i’ll be fine” you spit out, voice still raspy. it sounds like you’ve been smoking a pack a day since you were 2.

he gets out the tv dinner tray from the living room and brings it into your shared room. you take a sip of your soup and it’s way too hot, but you don’t want mike to be more worried so you play it off, asking for a glass of water.

mike holds your hand as he takes your temperature, still at 100°, coming down from the 102° you were at earlier but still not best.

mike makes you take the ibuprofen, although you say “i don’t need it! i’ll be fine i swear!” your voice shivering through your words. he knows you’re lying. “come on baby, take the medicine and you’ll feel better” he says

about 30 minutes after taking the medicine you start to feel a little better, but you still want mike to take care of you. he can see through you and rolls his eyes playfully, laying beside you in bed.

Once again thinking about my oc who makes how to do videos that Vulcan kids like to watch, except this time I’m also thinking about “guest stars,” because you just know there’s going to be some things where you need an expert on it for

And originally I was just thinking about pleasant guest stars, and how the Human oc is unknowingly also teaching Vulcan kids how to handle their emotions because the Human is trying a lot of new things that actually scare them, or make them anxious, things like that, but they just calm themselves down on camera and continue doing them

But now I’m thinking about Jim Kirk, specifically aos Jim Kirk, guest starring before he ever became a captain, and it’s “how to ride a motorcycle,” and the whole time, this Human who is usually good at keeping a calm and pleasant disposition, just keeps turning to anxiously tell the camera “don’t do that” because Jim went straight to tricks and stuff that he shouldn’t be showing beginners

Jim Kirk is rewatching this episode as a captain, trying to avoid looking at Bones and Spock as they watch him put himself in danger without proper protective gear on
