All of them are written and played so well its hard to choose, but im gonna go with el wiwi, and as much as I love mark le frog takes the top spot.
my favorite pd npc.... thats such a tough one,, Dakota is EASILY my favorite pc, and he's maybe also my favorite jrwi pc ever, tied with Jay.
erghh my fav npc has to be Mark. I love Le Frog and i love Tide- but Mark. I maybe love him because of his relationship with Dakota. Wavelength isn't a bad guy, is the thing. He's a father, and although he isn't amazing, he tries, and that's the best he can do. And he keeps trying, because that's all he knows to do. All that he has done has been for Ashe, to protect him, to save him.
Mark also is just so honest. I don't think we see that a lot in PD, all the characters have lied and done bad things despite being GOOD guys. Yet Mark makes it clear; He doesn't want to hurt kids because he can sympathize with other parents, but he will not let anyone stop him. He has set motives and a set goal. When you really look at him, and how he was also clearly experimented on, you kinda can see Dakota.
Dakota also has a really strong belief system. Dakota will also let no one stop him. He is honest to a fault, and is a good guy through and through. And he is also a result of experimentation. Mark became Wavelength to protect his son, and Dakota became DC while protecting Kat and protecting the rest of the world.
Maybe that's why their conflicts are so good?? I remember Dakota had a solo face off against Mark, while William and Vynce were at belltech. I remember feeling the huge difference between the two situations. One one hand, you had good people fighting each other- Because Mark is not a bad person, but he doesn't do good things. But then you had William and Vynce being bad people to fight against bad people. They did bad things because they believer it was the best option, not because they thought it was good. It was easy though.
I remember reading a fic about Dakota and Mark's relationship. How they hated each other, but begrudgingly tolerate each other when needed. How as soon as the field is level, and they are both on their two feet, they will fight again. They are both stubborn and maybe Dakota was afraid of being too much like Mark, and maybe Mark is scared for Dakota as well. After all, he seems to know entirely too much about the hero system.
Mark isn't generally a sympathetic character, but he still cares. Dakota doesn't really think, he just acts, and he may hurt people but he still loves.
Sorry thats a ramble. You get me going on about my favorite campaign and also my favorite character and it's a mess. I really went on about Dakota and Mark in comparison to each other. I love Dakota so much for more reasons than this that I will not go into at the moment,,

HAI bites u :3 currently . editing a chapter i’ve been putting off editing bc i don’t like editing but i was meant to post it almost 2 weeks ago so <3 here’s a snippy snippy. for some reason indents hate me >:(
He woke slowly. He unconsciously leaned into her palm and burrowed his face further into the pillow. Jay laughed, almost giggled, which she blamed on her tiredness. It was not at all related to her emotions. She gently raised him out of the pillow, unfortunately bringing him into the light.
He mumbled, squinting his eyes and pursing his lips back and forth, “Mgh, Jay? Hi, Jay.”
She laughed and poked him in the cheek. “Hi, you.”
He was clearly disoriented by the change in scenery, squinting against the sun like it was his personal enemy. He resembled an angry cat that hadn't received treats in a while, although she knew if Gill heard her make that comparison, he'd be very offended. Her mission to sneak a cat onboard the ship and slowly integrate it into the crew was still a work in progress, to say the least. Gillion was the main opposition to that goal. Nonetheless, waking up in the sun after sleeping in water his entire life would be a stark change, no doubt.
She hummed absentmindedly, a simple buzz to fill the silence of a late morning, no tune in mind, as he gained awareness of his surroundings. His thick brows furrowed, glaring at the bed and sheets as if they'd personally wronged him. He looked funny with his hair a tangled mess behind him and pillow lines etched into his skin. She offhandedly wished for some way to capture the moment forever. Not only to laugh at with Gillion later, but perhaps to admire the way the sun made his eyes shimmer like ocean ways in the afternoon heat.
Just perhaps, of course.

I'm rewatching all of cpd and making notes on it as I do so to type up afterwards for y'all. It'll just be basically my reactions and thoughts during the rewatch but I thought some of you might appreciate them.
It's so painfully a pilot episode/first season.
Voight looks so much younger/he's aged so much in ten years.
It is soooo dark they show Jules' family knowing they kill her. I mean that's why they do but still so dark.
Jay is so young and childlike/jovial.
The side room looking more like an office/being used as an office!

ok I'll start with percy, i like it when people have their original names so he'll have the nickname percy but be called like perses or smth more fem. she's got like a wavy sort of shoulder length hair? im thinking of book percy, so like she always puttingn her hair through it and pushing it to one side and shit, yk?
ok annabeth. idfk what kind of name, maybe like asher or smth, though not sure if that fits his vibe, im trying to go with names that start with the same letter so maybe like alexander. he definitely doesn't have like a really neat haircut, its like fluffy and frizzy and and messy and he never cuts it, im thinking sort of like magnus, since yk they're cousins.
next one is grover. her name's grace, her bf juniper calls her gracie. she's got body hair. shes half goat. shes got big fluffy hair, like shoulder blade length, and she'd wear smth like short skirts and long sleeve pretty shirts. and i think she wears it in braids or smth with flowers in it from junipers tree.
luke: luke's name is luka. she's still got short hair, sort of masc and def gels it, idk just feels like her vibe. she likes wearing pretty dresses like prom dresses and switches them off with tuxs and stuff.
ok jason now. i think jasons name would be Jay, like just the nickname, maybe she never learned her name when her mom left her idk. but she has a wolfcut, im obsessed with wolfcut jason either way so yk. (friend told me she prolly couldnt cut her hair during her time in new rome, so she had the most atrocious high pony tails and buns)
piper: i think piper is gender neutral so, it works. leo and jay still call him pipes and beauty queen and stuff. he's got long pretty hair that he always, i mean, always wears down. he likes wearing flowerey shirts and baggy pants. like a small shirt big pants kinda guy.
leo: my fav. leo's name is like león or leóna. but again, still goes by leo. shes got like a chin length cut, curly and shit. she wears her regular shit, dirty fucking clothes, but shes likes it when piper does her makeup (rly well bc piper's dad was hollywood shit). especially red lips and smoky eyes.
hazel: still hazel i think. honestly im so bad with names despite loving to come up with them. i would say hudson maybe? old fashioned and pretty. He's got the same hair, long and pretty, and he likes locks and likes having them with pretty hair rings with crystals on them (not sure if thats what you call them). he puts them up in big braids and ponytails.
frank: frances ig? i dont really like it but cant come up with something else. i think she still has a buzzcut, with her mom being military and all. she wears the same stuff and is still buff and fat and shes got broad shoulders and i love her sm.
reyna: honestly i think ryan would suck for him so like i found reina as a masc name, so... idc if yall dont like it. i do. so. he's got a shorter more military cut, like what that main percy fanart is? love him as well. they're honestly so similar.
clarisse: changed to clarice. with choppy oily and also dry hair at the same time. its like a bit past his shoulders but not very clearly because its so choppy. he always wears a bandanna too.
selena: adding her bc i love her. selenus maybe? going with greek inspired names but you all can give me ideas, so. i think he's got very nice hair, very smooth, very silky. cant decide if its long and he braids it like a pretentious bitch or he has it like a weird little anime boy. like the basic shiny shit, with bangs.
beckendorf: though his name is charlie. i think it would be charlotte obvs. she's got shoulder length braids because working in the forge is better when your hair is short. shes still buff again, still percy's bisexual awakening.
nico: don't know how i forgot him. niccolà. she has pretty short hair, only a little emo, i think she's got a strip of it dyed blonde that switches between bright neon colors and j blonde depending on the mood. will does it for her.
will: willa, or willow. so pretty. she always has it in a bun because she's a medic and you cant get hair in your face when youre doing a surgery. nicco def calls her willoughby. she also has bangs but pins it out of her face with bobby pins or shiny girly hair clips. sanrio hairclips. nicco uses them too. bc theyre girlfriends.
coach hedge: still coach hedge. but maybe hester bc i like it. same hair, basically j hedge but butch
chiron: legally cant sjow boobs but totally would bc centaut things. same name. long ponytail shes got greys and mr d fucking loves them. forced to put it in pigtails with the party ponies. french braids too.
last but least sally: sal. is still aspiring writer, still has a ponytail. he still is a heartthrob at his candy shop. not balding because hes a god jk but not rly. his hair is also greying both in a sexy way, like middleage dilf kinda thing.

my insecurities are loud (but your love is louder)
Hey guys! I decided I should post my fic here, so I hope you enjoy! Now, Jaya isn't my fav ship (I have so many. So. Many.) but I do love their dynamics and I've been thinking about them a lot lately, so!!
Jay gasped against Nya's lips, every breath a desperate gulp to try and stay conscious and almost failing every time he managed to snag one. He almost felt like he was drowning against her, her lips, her hands, her.
She had him falling under her waves, snatched up by a riptide and swept below into the deep, uncharted waters that refused to let him go. Which wasn't entirely a bad thing, but Jay struggled to breathe normally just by sitting still, so Nya rendering him breathless really wasn't helping.
Mercifully, she pulled back enough for him to pant against her, chest heaving as he tried to regain the precious oxygen he had lost. Nya giggled softly, her fingertips grazing his cheek in little lines. She was probably making shapes out of his freckles. Jay flushed at the thought, shifting to hide his face against her shoulder.
He felt like he had just run for miles, when he really had only been kissing Nya for maybe two minutes. "Sorry," he mumbled against the revealed skin of her shoulder, feeling the warmth of her against his cheek as he shifted again to better hide his face, forcing her fingers off of his face.
Jay really didn't want her to draw with his freckles any more.
"For what?" He heard her ask, always so gentle with him, like he might shatter if she raised her voice.
Knowing him, he might. Even after everything they had been through, a small part of his mind always told him Nya was too good for him, too good for a junkyard boy. She deserved someone who could give her the world, and Jay couldn't even take her out to dinner half the time.
Nya would wake up one morning and realize it too, and then she would break up with him all over again. Only there wouldn't be any cosmic divination to save him when that happened. Jay would just be alone and destroyed all over again, ripped asunder by the very waves that cradled him so tenderly in this moment.
It was almost too much to think about.
Jay swallowed, throat clogged up with a jumble of emotions he couldn't name. "For being bad at kissing."
Nya snorted, nudging him off of her shoulder. "Jay, don't be stupid."
Jay couldn't make himself lift his head to see her smile. He just couldn't.
What made everything worse was he didn't understand why he felt so unworthy all of the sudden. They had been doing so well, recovering and spending as much time together as they could without making Wu separate them by force. (Apparently, the old master was worried they would cross a line, something that made Jay's face burn everytime he thought about it.)
He tensed when he felt Nya's hand slip into his own, as if they were created to link together the seamless way that they did. "Jay, what's wrong?"
Jay winced, barely lifting his head enough to catch the smallest glimpse of the frown on Nya's face. "I…"
What could he even say? That she should just dump him and be done with it? That he was clearly too much maintenance and not enough payoff to last? Did he say how badly he needed Nya to be alright, and how he was terrified that she didn't feel the same about him, even after her actions had disproven that over and over again?
Did he even dare to begin to explain the mountain of insecurities surrounding their relationship? That felt like too much to handle at one time, and how could he dump so many of his own worries onto her shoulders like that? It was wrong to do that to her, to lay his burden onto her like that.
Jay shrugged instead of actually answering, tongue glued to the roof of his mouth. He didn't have anything to say. Kai would have probably made a joke about it, Jay being quiet. "A miracle!" he'd say.
Nya's hand squeezed his own, a comforting gesture that Jay couldn't even start to process before she was speaking again. "Is it about us kissing?"
Jay jerked his head up, his curls flopping into his face from the force of the movement. He used his free hand to shove his hair out of his eyes, shaking his head quickly. "No! It's not that!"
Nya tilted her head, reaching out with her own free hand to help brush his unruly curls out of his face. "Then what is it? If you've got something on your mind, I'd love to hear it."
Jay blinked rapidly, hating that he felt like crying just from hearing her say that. What was wrong with him today? "N-nothing's on my mind, not really! I'm just… I dunno."
He swiped at his nose, cursing himself for crying. Now he just looked pathetic. Nya deserved someone who didn't randomly cry or fall into an anxious spiral that eventually led to an anxiety attack followed by even more crying and-
"Jay."
He snapped his attention back to Nya, finding her eyes. "Y-yeah?"
Nya ran a hand through his hair, her voice a whisper. "Breathe."
Jay did as he was told, slowly trying to copy her breathing before he gave up, focusing on calming his own lungs down before he tried to copy Nya's. How had he even started to breath so fast without him noticing? Jay shook his head as the world came back into focus bit by bit, embarrassed now that he could think again.
Jay had meant to hide his face against Nya's shoulder again, but found she had shifted their position while he had been trying to calm himself down. He was sitting in Nya's lap, facing her as she rocked them slowly back and forth, her arms secured around his back. Jay almost cried again, wrapping his arms tightly around her shoulders.
"I lied," he said. "I'm thinking about how wonderful you are and how I don't-"
His sentence was cut off by Nya's finger on his lips, her expression stern. "Don't say you don't deserve me, Jay Walker. Don't you dare."
Jay smiled instead, hoping to reassure her that he definitely wasn't about to say that. Nya didn't look convinced, which was all good too, considering she had been right, he had been about to say he didn't deserve her.
Nya sighed, pressing her forehead against his. "Jay, I- I really care about you, and I hate to think that you feel like I could do better than you."
She laughed as if that was silly, shaking her head slightly. She cupped his cheek, the corners of her eyes crinkling with happiness. "I can't do better than you. You're my forever guy, right? I'm your Yang, you gotta be my Yin."
Jay shrugged, a little smile tugging at his lips. "I guess."
"Now," Nya fixed him with a piercing stare, "what's up?"
Jay pursed his lips, then sighed, defeated. "I'm not… I'm not a guy-guy, you know? I'm not tall or buff or-or handsome. I'm just…" He wiggled his fingers. "Here."
Nya rolled her eyes. "Jay, are you- of course you're serious. Okay, I don't want to change anything about you. Nothing at all."
Jay sniffled when she pressed a kiss to his lips, soft and barely-there. "You're Jay. Yeah, you're not super tall-"
"I'm barely taller than you are! On a good day!"
"-and you aren't buff, which is kind of scary to even picture, actually."
Jay snickered at that. "What? No muscles for you to gawk at?"
Nya swatted at his arm. "You have enough muscle!"
Jay laughed as Nya continued, her own mirth starting to bleed into her words. "As for the handsome bit, yes you are. You're handsome and adorable and you're smiles? They're- they're good."
Jay guffawed, tumbling out of Nya's lap. "Good?!"
Nya fell victim to his laughter, hunching in on herself as she wheezed. "I'm trying."
"Try harder!"
Their peals of giggles eventually faded into the occasional chuckle. Jay smiled up at the ceiling before he propped himself up on his elbows, finding Nya's eyes again. "Thanks."
Nya waved her hand. "Anytime. You help me, I help you. That's how it is, and how it's gonna stay."
Jay made to sit up, stopping when Nya's hand pushed against his chest, keeping him still. "Uh," he muttered, heat rising to his cheeks again. "Nya?"
There was a wicked gleam in her eyes, a fire that made his stomach twist with excitement. "Now I'm going to prove that you are a good kisser."
Jay licked his lips nervously, his gaze darting to Nya's before he looked back at her eyes. "Oh?"
Nya nodded, moving to place her hands on either side of him, slotting herself between his legs. "Yup."
Jay swallowed. "W-well. I'm ready."
"I figured."
Nya's lips touched his again, and Jay was once again swept into her oceans, his lightning straining for the heavens, trying to get him back into the sky where he belonged before he got trapped in the relentless waves forever. Jay, however, didn't mind the idea of being lost to the sea.
So he kissed Nya back, relishing in the easy flow between them. It was wonderful, to kiss and be held and be loved without ever speaking. It was also wonderful to finally have a moment of peace to actually kiss without anyone watching them or teasing them for being mushy.
Jay happened to like being mushy, it was one of his favorite past times. He gasped against her lips again, reaching up for her, letting himself fall fully back onto the mattress, arms tight around Nya's back and shoulders. She laughed against his lips, shaking her head a little before she captured his lips again, everything else fading into the background.
Jay loved Nya, and that was all he would ever understand, all he would ever know. She completed him in ways he hadn't even known could be completed. It was like he had been blind to the missing pieces inside of him until she had taken his hand, linking them together forever. His mind might tell him they would never work, that everything would eventually fall apart.
Maybe it was right. Jay could stress about that later though, because Nya was kissing him and whispering that he was beautiful and honestly, what more could he ever need than that?
"Hey Jay, I- ohmygosh!"
Nya pulled back in shock, flopping backwards onto his bed. Jay shot a glare at the suddenly-closed door. Maybe he needed a lock that could stop Masters of Earth.
"I am so. Sorry."
Cole sounded so embarrassed that Jay laughed, covering his face with his hands as he cackled. Nya sat up, her own laughter joining Jay's as Cole kept apologizing through the door. Eventually, Jay sat up. "Cole, you can stop!"
"I- okay."
Nya snorted, leaning forward to press a soft kiss to Jay's lips. "You should probably see what he was gonna say."
Jay hummed, turning to press his knees against Nya's, smiling at her. "I should, yeah."
Nya arched a brow when he made no move to go to the door. "Changed your mind?"
Jay kissed her again, pulling away after a few seconds. "Now I'll answer the door."
He left his bed, relishing in the snickering he could hear from his fianceè. Jay opened the door, finding Cole hiding his face in his hands. He could almost see the embarrassment on Cole's face from how he was standing. "You were saying?"
Cole peaked between his fingers. "Sorry, again. Um. I wanted to see if you wanted to try and fix the T.V.? You're good at it."
Jay almost snorted from how shy Cole was acting, the gentle giant looking downright small. "Sure. Be there in a sec."
Cole offered a shaky thumbs up before he darted down the hall, mumbling to himself the whole way. Jay snorted, closing his door again. "I am needed as the T.V. wizard."
Nya rolled her eyes, slipping off of his bed. "Can't keep that wairing, now can we?"
Jay caught her around the waist, stopping her from opening the door. "Or," he said, "we could kill a couple more minutes?"
Nya's smile was teasing. "Really?"
Jay nodded, a rush burning through his veins. It felt like lightning, crackling and begging to be freed. "Really."
She kissed him again, her hands tangling into his curls and Jay decided the T.V. could definitely wait.

a honest review of dark blood purely from musical and conceptual observation (not proofread)
opening remarks: do i want enha to come back to their regal era? yes! in a way, this album gave the given-taken vibes i have wanted enha to do for a long time now. but with a hint of maturity to it. i think this album came from the backlash of both dimension: answer's blessed-cursed and manifesto: day 1's future perfect, the success of fever as a b-side, and how much engene wanted to get enha's vampire-esque concept back instead of pushing it to dark moon: blood altar.
though i'm a fan, i'm not scared to comment if i have disagreements with what my idols give out. and as time goes, i've noticed much more inconsistency of enha's album concept comparing it to other 4th gen groups in hybe (excluding fromis_9 because they didn't debut under hybe or any of their subsidiaries) and i think there are conflicting parties in play that make enha's concepts not as thoroughly explored as txt's, consistent with their theme like le sserafim's, or consistent with their visual like newjeans...
let's just start, shall we?
1.fate: enha always has an intro and outro for the album and this is the second intro they have that doesn't explicitly say "intro" and a colon (:). i love the string(?) arrangement. it sounded like a korean instrument or it might just be a synth effect. the build-up is good too. though it ranks a bit lower than my fav intros of theirs, walk the line and the invitation, it sets the mood right, especially with the concept they're now using.
2.bite me: did i have a bad sentiment about songs with shorter lengths and no bridge? hell yes (referred to my receiptify list that has songs with an average of 4 minutes per song) and the fact that the title track is as long as the intro just makes me want to squeeze my hand into a fist. but, i can't lie that this song is very catchy. gives me a 2000s pop rnb type song that plays in the club ala monica with the fat bass and rising ostinato percussion in the background deep in the layers. definitely can see myself bopping to this song.
but the freaking lack of a bridge, oh my god (oh my, oh my god). just like my review of sugar rush ride, i can imagine this song have a much more variety of layers that differentiate the last chorus from the other choruses + if we get a bridge, i can imagine heeseung belting a high note and even adlibs at the last chorus. a missed opportunity right there...
3.sacrifice (eat me up): okay bouncing bass (that could even be made better with a pan between the left and right speakers like treasure's jikjin or bts' save me. but just a tiny bit that we can still here them in the middle too). i can hear some reggae undertones there with the guitar but not as evident as onf's sukhumvit swimming. niki, jake, and hee's voice here is great. but the lack of jay here is very apparent and i almost can't recognize hoon's voice.
4.chaconne: i wonder how not many kpop groups don't have songs with this as the title (the only music term i remember in as a kpop song title is rv's feel my rhythm and loona's sonatine). a bit more voice tune was added in the vocal. great guitar sound at the pre-chorus. this is more trap than the previous ones. hoon's voice is more clearly recognizable and i heard hee play around with vocal techniques in the chorus. bridge part with sunoo and hee, that's hot! and the song loops too (intro and outro start the same way)
5.bills: the lo-fi guitar with a lot of reverbs oh my god!!! the song that caught my attention in the preview cause it sounded more dream pop, but of course, it is a trap song as always with the drum and bass entering. and a shorter track in the album. i love hearing won's and sunoo's lower registers here. hee's voice is another stand-out here. but it could be a stand-out track if they pushed the song more on the dream pop aspect :[
6.karma: is this even an outro track? cause we got rock enha again let's go! okay, the voice layer is a bit more airy that it almost blends in with the guitar layer, which i was hoping to be a "bit in your face", especially with the arena rock style they're going.
musical closing remark: i like that i can recognize the voices of the members. it shows that you can have autotune without really changing the singer's voice. but the voice layer still sounds a bit pressed though, maybe a bit of reverb might help with that. i also like how sunoo is shining musically in this comeback, song starters, more singing parts. let's go! definitely want to highlight hee, jake, and sunoo in this album cause they're my favorite voices here.
but i think i can say that the songs here don't really elevate something, but maybe it is because my music palette has diversify as i've been listening to more experimental and progressive music that it makes this album sound a bit "boring:, but it is what the pop landscape is right now so i accept that. i recognize that they're playing safe with this album and have, overall, the same vibes throughout the album, a more low-key rnb coded album, which is not what i was expecting with the concept because i thought it will a bit more sonically rich (aka "songs that makes you think you're in an isekai" as coined by a friend of mine). i wanted to say "daring" at first to describe it but look at how it goes with blessed-cursed and future perfect for being "daring"... discography-wise, a bit safer and in the middle of the spectrum if it has border: carnival on one side and manifesto: day 1 on the other.

small conclusion: give me more enhypen songs with a bridge!
time for the spicy hot take... the concept!
as i said in my short comment and my opening remark, they abandoned their manifesto concept and go for a more sexy-vampire route. it just makes me realize how not ready belift is for their groups' artistic output and career. i have no choice but to compare it to txt's who has a clear era basis for each of their albums with outliers being put into minisodes and it is always released in between larger eras. dark blood might be the outlier of the group concept-wise but it felt weird to put it out after the manifesto era is starting. the progression of the album concepts seems to be jumpy in a way and that happened since the 2022 releases (very sad if i thought about it and how they impact the sudden change of enhypen's sound sonically). and, i can't lie, this album seems more of a large marketing promotion for dark moon as both enhypen and &team comes back around the same time (&team's comeback is june)
another take: the sexy vampire concept makes me uncomfy. story-wise, i like it. it's badass, it's powerful. the choreo with the back dancers is great and bold. but is it just me or does belift really want enhypen to have a more mature concept than txt, especially with their younger age? niki's a minor and he is already doing a more mature concept than when taehyun and hyuka did back in 2021 when they became a fully fledge adult (with the chaos chapter, which is darker than the dream chapter).
the thing that i want to point out is how enhypen, concept-wise, doesn't mature along with their fans. they grew up at a faster pace than us and when it happened, it blunders almost all parties. experimenting is cool but when it doesn't make sense... well, you can refer to the criticism they got for their 2022 releases. i, for one, have a traumatic experience with fever and i like the song and i know people really love this song, but that song's success *specifically* shows that the fans want sexy songs and it lets belift push the boys into a mature concept and make them "grow up faster", which makes them more sexualized, especially for jungwon and niki who are minors at the time. engene wanted ppl to stop sexualizing niki and won last year, but it contradicts with the numbers and sells they made on a certain concept in both visual and sound. from the buzz on social media to view count on fever's fancams
i'm okay with enhypen doing this concept especially if they consent to it. i just want them to grow up along with me cause i still feel like i'm stuck in tamed-dashed era where they were having fun at the beach playing rugby. it felt like they were my friends who left me alone to face coming of age by myself (especially since i'm closer to them in age with sunoo being a fellow 03 liner like yours truly) and it's... scary... but i think it's too late now. they've grown up and i have to accept what they give out because i'm not their creative director who could arrange their album concept in a clearer, more comfortable way :]

There are a lot of romance and couples in Furuba and all of them are interesting and beautiful. Tohru and Kyo is the main ship and their story is very endearing and memorable. I also love Arisa and Kureno's. It's not the most developed love story because they fell in love at first sight and couldn't see each other much due to the head of the Soma family's restrictions, but it moved me to see how much they loved each other. Their romance is really soft and kind yet a bit sad at moments.

Well, I nearly cried when I wrote non-canon because...I tried my best to view them as friends so I could understand those who don't ship them but nah, they're clearly in love, your honor. I was quite upset at the time as I was ranting on my blog but as the time passed, I realised that I become one of those ppl who looked over the good stuff that enhypen did and focused on their mistakes instead.
that one vlive where sunoo refused to eat his fav mint chocolate ice cream, riki noticed and urged him to eat same goes for the recent one where he said he didn't want to eat cake but riki urged him to eat, saying that he'll regret it bcs the cake was so delicious. on that one vlive, heeseung said that sunoo shouldn't be conscious of his weight. jungwon assured sunoo that engenes will find anything he does cute and adorable. sunghoon apologizes to sunoo repeatedly when he goes too far with the teasing, he says that he'll help sunoo stay fit and healthy, also choosing to be his father bcs he'll feel proud of how far sunoo has come. jake who adores sunoos cheeks. and lastly, jay who always spoils and takes care of him.
as I'm reminded of all of these things, I'm not so ashamed to be an engene. I still feel bad for sunoo yes but I can't just overlook the good things they've done.

summary: in which y/n takes it into her own hands to look after a sick jay
a/n: i’m not gonna lie i think this is one of my fav things i’ve ever written, i would really appreciate some feedback and p.s the beginning of it is based on that scene from brooklyn 99 :)

“okay, it’s 10 o’clock, meaning halstead is officially an hour late to work,” y/n announced as she appeared from the break room with a mug of poorly made coffee. looking around, she had immediately distracted everyone in the room with her playful smile. “okay let’s do this, theories!” she encouraged, taking a sip with excitement, but immediately regretting it as s he spat it back in the mug and abandoned it on adam’s desk as she leant against it.
“uh, he forgot to set his alarm?” antonio suggested, willing to play along with the little game that y/n had created. however clearly his answer didn’t suffice as y/n scrunched up her nose and shook her head in disappointment.
“you are a detective in a unit that just last week rescued 5 people kidnapped and used as chess pieces in a human sized version of the game and the best you could come up with is he forgot to set his alarm? pfft, disappointing, dawson. who’s willing to take this seriously?” she scoffed, brushing his idea off with a simple roll of the eyes as the group laughed at her ridiculousness.
“maybe he has been murdered by a gang looking for revenge.” adam piped up, earning a sudden and rather forceful slap on the back as y/n cheered. her eyes looking over at antonio as she gestured towards the less experienced detective.
“yes, that’s what i’m talking about. bit dark, ruzek, but better than dawson’s,” y/n hummed, adam clearly pleased with the praise he had received by the pretty detective. “any one else wanna shot?” she offered it out into the room, suddenly the sound of rolling wheels on the chair had everyone turn to face al who was munching on a ham sandwich.
“he walked into the middle of a drug ring, slept with the kingpins daughter and is now having limbs removed, one by the hour.” suddenly an eery silence fell in the bullpen as al suddenly disappeared back to his desk and everyone was left with an image that she was sure was burned on the inside of everyones mind.
“uh, okay, someone might want to arrange a psych check for olinsky asap,” y/n mumbled, pointing in the direction where he had once been and looking around as if checking that she hadn’t been the only one to hear al’s suggestion. “anyways, all of you are wrong. clearly he has joined a motorbike gang and now makes his money on the road striking off names on the government’s hit list.”
just as the room erupted into discussion about how idiotic this conversation was, as well as their ideas, the sound of footsteps caught y/n’s attention as she arrived at her desk. however as he reached the floor, the reason for his absence was clear.
“woah, you look like death.” adam chuckled, it immediately being silenced as jay sent a deadly glare his way. with his skin paler than normal with undertones of green, a layer of sweat draped over his forehead. jay flashed as smile at y/n as he passed, reaching his desk and collapsing on his chair with a wince.
as everyone went back to what they were doing, y/n found herself straying her eyes away from her computer screen for longer and longer periods of time until she found herself by his side with a sickly sweet grin, pun intended.
“i don’t wanna hear it, y/l/n.” jay mumbled, massaging his temples with his fingers hoping it would somehow sooth his pounding skull. whilst usually he had every minute of his day just to hear the woman chat away about whatever crossed her mind, he had found himself in quite the state since last night, leaving him restless and irritable.
“believe it or not, i just wanted to make sure you were alright,” y/n’s entire demeanour crumbled as she melted at the soft features of his face that came with being so vulnerable. but from the look in jay’s eyes, it was clear he didn’t 100% believe her excuse. “and to ask what the hell you think you are doing here? you are sick jay, you need to rest.”
it was very rare that jay found himself ill. in the years that y/n had been working by the man’s side, she could count on one hand the times she had seen him with so much as a cough. in fact she had called him captain immune system for a period of time when she realised he was pretty much indestructible. y/n couldn’t deny the concern bubbling in her gut seeing him so weak.
“i’m fine,” with her eyes slitted in a look that practically shouted ‘bullshit’, jay continued. “i promise, it’s just a little cold. nothing serious, i think i’ll survive.” he joked dryly, finding it incredibly hard to look away from y/n for her eyes were filled with a warmth that he knew was an expression usually saved for those she cared deeply about.
“yeah well, you need to take care of yourself, jay, i’m being serious. chicago can cope if you just have one day off, get your energy back.”
y/n was reminded of the times she had the exact same words spoken to her by the exact person that didn’t seem to want to take them onboard. every time she had so much as a sniffle he would be straight over with some soup that his mother used to swear by and the name of a box set that he would put on for the two of them to watch as he sat stroking her hair in order to try and convince her body to rest. neither of them had anyone else to take care of them, so had taken it upon themselves to be that person for the other.
“now, i’m gonna go tell voight that i’m taking you home before you infect this whole office.” before he could object, she had already ran (not literally but jay was impressed by her speed walking) to her boss’ office. knocking on the door, with a sweet smile and a sea of words running off her tongue so quickly that voight had to agree just to shut her up, y/n returned by his side. “come on, germ face, your carriage awaits.”
“you know i love it when you talk dirty to me, y/l/n.” winking at her, y/n giggled as she supported him back down the stairs and out of the station. the two chatted away, y/n explaining how she thought al was secretly a sociopath and jay filing her in on the newest instalment of his apartment block drama until they pulled up in front of jay’s apartment building.
as they walked through the door, jay’s arm resting around y/n’s shoulders as he struggled to find strength, they managed to reach the sofa before y/n’s body gave up. both of them letting out large breathes before looking at each other and falling into laughter.
“you hungry, i could try making your mom’s soup?” y/n asked, as she pushed herself up to look down at the man. her hair falling down around her face and tickling jay’s skin. “i’m sure it won’t be as good as her’s but i’m willing to give it a try.”
the way she was sat with the large window gleaming light behind her, y/n almost looked like an angel. her eyes and smile were wide, with her beauty wrapping its hands around jay’s neck squeezing until his head felt light and he nearly reached up to touch her porcelain skin. but jay had noticed the sensation way before he was blocked up with a cold.
“yeah, uh, that sounds nice.” jay agreed with a minimal amount of sass, but y/n didn’t seem to notice as she moved off the cushions and towards the kitchen. she had pretty much memorised the recipe when jay had finally given it to her on her birthday after offering to pay for it multiple times. whizzing around the kitchen, she was too busy to notice the tired eyes admiring her from afar.
jay wished his mom was alive to see the woman that she would have loved. all the times he had brought girls back to his family when he was younger didn’t add up to an ounce of the beauty and power that y/n held in her middle finger. the way she bit back at his wit, but also had the ability to spot when he was upset from the other side of the city. she was everything her mother wanted in a daughter in law, everything she wanted for her little boy.
“okay, give me your honest opinion. i can take it i promise.” y/n sudden appeared with a tray that held a large bowl of the semi-thick orange liquid, a glass of water and a couple pills. approaching jay, she carefully helped him up from where he laid and placed it onto his lap. “actually that was a complete lie, do not tell me the truth. i may just cry.”
“why thank you, nurse y/l/n.” he teased.
“it’s doctor actually.” she quipped back.
jay chuckled lowly, as he grabbed the spoon and took a large spoonful to his mouth. feeling the slight sting of his tongue at the heat, it was only when the flavours hit that he was suddenly transported to an earlier time in his life. a simpler time. only this time there was y/n by his side.
“the verdict?” she prompted, taking a seat besides him, pulling her knees up to her chest.
“not sure whether i want to tell you, don’t think you’ll fit in this room if your ego grows any bigger.” y/n grinned as she leaned over to press a kiss against his shoulder. jay closed his eyes at the contact, feeling the ache in his body freeze for a moment as it registered the tingling sensation. “all jokes aside, it really is good.”
“i’m glad, your mother was a smart woman.” she nodded, leaning forward to turn tv on. jay continued to spoon the soup into his mouth, as y/n chose a show that they both had started together and had refused to watch another minute without the other. y/n leaned back making herself comfortable, having already texted voight telling him that she would most likely need the entire day off, and getting the go ahead, she had no plans other than being by jay’s side for the next however many hours.
it was sometime in the early evening and the tv continued to emit light, but neither jay nor y/n was paying any attention to the drama. jay, with his head on y/n lap, was leaning into her touch as her short, thin fingers ran through the dark strands that sprouted from his scalp. his body wrapped in a blanket that y/n had grabbed from his room, he felt completely at peace.
“you know what, i think you are more bearable when you are at death’s door.” y/n joked quietly, as the forest green eyes were exposed back to her own. jay groaned in annoyance, realising that there was no sweet y/n without the sharped tongue y/n. a trait he adored, but at his own expense.
“and to think i was starting to think you had gone soft on me, y/l/n.” he hummed, wishing he could forever have her giggle on repeat wherever he went, for the sound made goosebumps run down his neck and down his arms, like some kind of magic that only y/n possessed.
“as much as i love you, i can’t risk my bad ass reputation for you.”
although jay was sure it was just part of her banter, the moment the ‘i love you’ fell off her tongue, he found himself wide awake, unable to push past the feeling in his gut as it looped over again and again in his mind. y/n could see the conflict in his face, as he glanced up at her with something she had never noticed before.
“you mean it?” he asked.
“mean what?” confused, her fingers fell from his hair, making jay regret ever opening his mouth.
“do you really, you know, love me?” he knew he had committed too far to try and retreat. maybe he could blame it on the fact he couldn’t think straight, although she was like a lie detector that wouldn’t let such a bogus excuse pass. y/n blinked down at him, watching as he sat up to look at her with a hunger that needed to be addressed. swallowing the lump in her throat, y/n nodded.
“of course, you are one of my best friends, jay.” it was true, but it wasn’t the full truth, both of them knew that.
“i didn’t realise we had started lying to one another,” jay’s eyes were soft, as he reached to place his hand against her cheek, smiling as she slowly leaned into it. closing her eyes, she tried to find what direction she was looking for, but didn’t dare take the first step. without even thinking, jay jutted forward and captured her lips before they could form a single syllable.
gently, but passionately, jay and y/n moved their lips against the others. the feeling was ever-growing as the kiss deepened and deepened until they had no choice to pull back, deprived of their ability to breath. as jay’s eyes came back into view, y/n, for the first time in her life, had lost the ability to form a sentence.
“we just...” she began but it ran off quickly. jay chuckled.
“we did.”
the two sat in silence, examining the other one’s face until y/n found herself moving forward until she was sat in his lap, legs wrapped around his waist as she pressed her lips against his. just like before their bodies and minds were set ablaze with desire and what had remained unspoken for what felt like forever. jay had nearly completely forgotten about the illness that had put him in the care of the woman that he craved more than anything else the world had to offer.
as their lips parted ways, suddenly the air had thinned and everything felt... normal. jay’s lips were unable to break out of the large grin mould that y/n had put them in, which was soon mirrored by the young woman. a small giggle escaping her lips.
“if i get whatever it is you have, i expect the exact same treatment.”
“only for you, doctor y/l/n.”

+ Babe...you look pretty asleep so get back in heree, he whines, tugging the hem of your shirt
+ ayo, he's so- so soft around you. He whines, grumbles adorably and is just so open with you. It took time ofc, but you two made it!
+ Tries his best to be home as much as he can. Would always kiss your hand if he sees you around when he patrols. Mmwah <3
+ If it's raining, he'll definitely give you an umbrella, "Wh- Bruce needs you!" *bruce in the background clearly needing help-* "It's raining, your clothes are wet, clearly you need me more!" Oh, he's such an idiot- but what can you say.
+ Actually, you could just say, "I'm not coo-" "Bruce! I got ya!" *helps immediately without hesitation.

+ LOVES YOUR COOKING. He comes back to the aroma of your cooking, it filled the room, making his smile bigger. Oh- seeing him smile as soon as he comes back is just- oh- pure heaven-
+ Will not share with his brothers, ok will with Alfred but the others? Oh no no, not a million dollars will make me give you these
+ Ngl, him as his tired eyes can get cute but please, make him sleep Sometimes he looks dreadful, it seems like he needs to have a week of only spa
+ I imagine, in your home, theres a massage chair just for him to relax in.
+ Quiet evenings reading books, continuing the book you two write together (you two have this-) listening to playlists or just cuddling while whispering sweet nothings and everything to each other.
+ Would read to you if the two of you are bored. Unlike Dick, he doesn't act like the characters. Instead, his facial expression and voice depict them.
+ His eyes spark when you voice the characters. When reading to him, he watches your face and once you act, his eyes sparkle~
+ Would leave notes around the house like hide and seek. "Oh heck- you found me ;] How was your day, babe? I hope it was great! There are flowers around the house, mind finding them for me?" <3 Jay
+ He loves bringing home things for you. He once brought home a heart-shaped rock!
+ Matching clothing? Ofc! He loves them casual and comfy~
+ If he could, he'd make a muffin for you. And he did! With Alfred's help and consent to go into the kitchen- It was in your fav flavor as well! With a small jay bird drawing on in. It was more of a cupcake than a muffin tho-
