A flower found in the Bleuka Stormana Zone of the Storm Dimension. It grows only where lightning strikes blue, and lightning strikes themselves are thought to seed the ground there with Blua Elektraikas. Not much is known about these flowers at this time, as the Stormana Zones are usually found high in the air, only easily accessible to Electric Buddys that can withstand the storm and fly.

he’ll ask you if you’re alright and pulls you into a big hug. you’ll give each other pecks constantly until you both feel sleepy. cheol will just lay back and watch you snuggle into his chest and fall asleep.

#J3: Cat demon stuck in cat form, gets adopted as a pet.

XiaoHei is a young cat demon training to be an Executor, someone who maintains the balance between humans and demons. His first mission as a trainee was to steal the Sky Pearl. He succeeded, but he also got injured enough to be unable to revert to his human form. Stuck in his cat form, he gets adopted by the human girl XiaoBai as a pet. The story then follows XiaoHei’s adventures as a pet cat in a human home while also evading the pursuit of his enemy, Diting.

#J6: Students transported to bizarre new realities

Thirty-six students find themselves and their school building suddenly adrift in a void-like dimension. When supernatural powers awaken in some of them, a sense of detachment begins to divide the group. Despite the student council's attempts to impose order, they clash with the students possessing special abilities, who rebel against their strict control.

This conflict leads them to discover that this world has its own set of rules—and following them is necessary for survival. After one of the students decides to take a leap of faith, the school switches dimensions once again. While they deal with the unique challenges and circumstances that each world presents, the students must unravel the mysterious phenomenon and find a way back home.

[Submitter: Now, I could not find a single trailer for season 1, and this show doesn’t have an opening sequence either, so I’m sharing the s2 trailer instead. It’s not spoilery, so you can watch it.]

Propaganda:

Demons try to coexist with humans and maintain balance; however, most humans aren’t even aware of their existence. XiaoHei himself has had little interactions with humans aside from his master—who doesn’t count since he’s feared by both humans and demons alike. It isn’t until XiaoHei meets XiaoBai that he actually learns more about them and their way of life. Slowly, he gets drawn to the human life and also learns to have fun just like the human kids his age.

But then there’s the antagonist, Diting, who’s out to retrieve the stolen Sky Pearl. As XiaoHei battles with him, we, along with the human characters, learn more about the magic in the world—And I absolutely love this gradual way of unfolding the lore to us viewers. The worldbuilding is quite intricate, but not once does it ever feel overwhelming.

The fight scenes of this show are also very immersive. I don’t know what technical terms to use to describe it, but I love how it’s not just the characters moving around but also our perspectives. It feels as if we’re also fighting along with the characters.

But although there are a lot of fight scenes and supernatural stuff thrown in, at its core, LXH is a story about a young demon learning that there is more to life than magic and fighting. It’s about XiaoHei discovering what it is he really wants to do without fear of losing what he calls his home, for home will always be with him.

The s2 trailer I shared may be action-packed, but s1 is actually more of a slice-of-life. And oh, don’t be mistaken by the fantasy-looking setting in the trailer; this story is set in modern times. The plot of s2 is XiaoHei continuing his training through a virtual reality game (like the Greed Island Arc in Hunter x Hunter), but this time, he brings his human friends with him.

Both S1 and S2 combined, there are only 40 episodes. That may seem a lot, but each episode is only 5-10 minutes long. You can binge everything in a day. But even though it’s short, the show does not lack anything. There are colorful characters, amazing animation, hype fight scenes, interesting supernatural stuff, and also a cute cat. The art style is also nice, reminiscent of Studio Ghibli (and there’s even a Howl’s Moving Castle reference in S1E1!)

Both seasons are something that you can watch when you don’t have much time and energy for plot-heavy stuff but still want something exciting. Even if you end up not voting for this show, I really hope you consider checking it out, as well as its movie. It really is such a beautiful and comforting show.

P.S.: This series takes place about three years after the events in the movie (which has the same title in Chinese, but is more known as simply “Legend of Hei” in English). The series aired first before the movie, though, so it doesn’t matter (still, I recommend watching the movie first).

Trigger Warnings: Child death (it’s fake, but the characters’ reactions feel so real), teens/adults fighting children. XiaoHei is a great fighter, and the people that can match with him are only those older than him.

#J6: Sonny Boy

Propaganda:

Sonny Boy is one of the best shows to come out in recent years. The setting and plot is very fantastical, with superpowers and dimension travel, but fundamentally the story is about the characters. The character writing is really unique. Even the side characters feel like real people, not just cheap gimmicks.

But the main draw for a lot of people are the visuals. Sonny Boy looks like no other anime. The backgrounds are just absolutely stunning, and the realistic character design helps contrast the unreality of the world. There are these amazing visual sequences that just blow you away with how creative the writers must be.

I can't say much without spoiling but it's the kind of show you just have to experience. This is the kind of show where people either love it or hate it. If you are looking for clear, linear storytelling, this is not the show for you. If you're looking for a straight mystery where everything is solved in the end, you might be disappointed. If you want to cry, and feel something, and think about what it means to be alive, then I cannot recommend a better show.

New Alpha/Beta/Omega Story Idea With DBD

Basic summary: In the Entity's Realm, everyone is from a different dimension, and so that means everyone follows slightly different cultures, beliefs and traditions. The reader is an omega, and in their dimension omegas' are treated as equals amongst alphas'. They're used to being pampered, respected, and understood by the alphas'. However, in the Entity's Realm, the alphas' are far, far different from the ones in the reader's own dimension. Instead of treating omegas' as equals, they fight to dominate them, control them, and use them. Even the omegas' are different; unkempt, submissive and out of control, easily bending to the alphas' will. Unused to and terrified of these alternative alphas' and omegas', the reader struggles to find safety, justification and respect. Will any of the alphas' they meet try to understand their traditions and standards? Or will they only suffer like the rest of the oblivious omegas'?

Notes: So in a lot of stories out there, everyone has their own unique way of writing alpha/beta/omega concepts. I myself have tapped into and read a lot of these concepts, and for this story I wanted to dive into tradition and culture and how it effects everyone differently. Using dbd's Entity Realm is a great way to take advantage of dimensional aspects.

What killers will be considered as potential love interests for the reader? Hmm, I'm not entirely sure (I'm never sure about that stuff. You guys know that, lol).

Obviously I'm gonna say Herman because my Herman is a sappy, lovey-dovey gentleman.

Caleb? Caleb has the potential to be both a considerate gentleman and a controlling jerk based on his time line, but I'm willing to make the exception for him.

One of the idiot-boy trio. Frank, Danny or Ji-woon. Gotta have at least one of them. Help me decide if you want.

Maybe Wesker? Like maybe he's turned on by the challenge the reader brings by being a more superior omega, and he secretly likes that.

Philip is cute, and I bet he would love a relationship where he didn't have to be so hard at work all the time.

We also have Pinhead. He's very intelligent and can sense the good in people. Obviously he'd be interested in the reader.

And then I'm gonna say Freddy because it's a twist and unexpected and I love the thought of him being the nicest to the reader out of all the other alphas'.

I've already got this story underway. I'm just posting this to try to help keep my own chin up. I really wanna get this story finished and posted so that way I can share the whole thing with you my precious dears'. Let's see how much of a disaster it turns out to be, aye?

C dramas of 2023 so far…

Honestly, I just fell down the c drama rabbit hole a few months ago so not that many things to report. However, in least to most favourite so far...

5. Love like the Galaxy

Basically the story of 2 traumatised dumbasses (affectionate) who cause more trauma to each other, mixed in with palace plots, 2 other simps, a bunch of jealous women, far too many characters (including king Wendy and his two wives) and revenge, revenge, revenge and more revenge. And obviously, Love. The classic.

The only reason this is rated this low is because this was way too long to watch and everything else on this list is spectacular.

4. The General's lady

This show is practically 'scary man who is only nice to his (1) woman.' That is it. That's the story. No one cares about the plot.

This was the first c drama that I watched. And honestly, this story is not that great overall in terms of plot and everything, but has enough sweetness to make me swoon every 10 seconds.

3. Legend of Yunxi.

The open-ended tragedy of the medicine girl and the fake prince who is supposedly a monster. Not to forget mentioning the million other very important characters and flower valley owner, Mr.secondary love interest. Cold guy, who has a backstory, meets 'ugly' smart girl and tries to kill her at first sight. She runs and meets sweet guy, who has a backstory of his own. turns out, she gets married to cold guy anyway so no point in running. Don't worry, In this story everything is connected.

This was the second drama that I watched and has the most intense plot so far. unpopular opinion: I love the ending! To me, personally, it makes sense.

2.The Eternal Love

What do you do when you have 3 seasons of the same plot, but repeated falling in love and too much Humour ? You Binge watch only season 1 and ignore the other two.

Season 1 : Bossy, sarcastic Real estate agent gets transmigrated to the past, into the body of a Meek, responsible girl. Drama ensues when the body that now holds two souls, has to get married to the hot brother of OG girl's lover. There is now a love square that only the two girls and their hilarious maid know exist and everyone is confused. The 14th brother's outfits are terrible, the king has a glitter crown, the OG girl's lover gets possessed and now has great eyeliner, everyone has a secret tragic past and there is a demon king who walks around a circle chanting " I'm a bitch " 49 times.

Season 2 : They travel back in time and go back to the future. and only our hot guy knows what happens. and everything happens again. but everything is diffrent and there are now 2 hot guys.

Season 3 : This time, they get transported into an alternate reality where women rule and our Leads get soul swapped into the bodies of the ones in that universe. But, this time, the difference is, this dimension's hot guy is present most of the time and our hot guy only gets released when a memory comes to him. BUT, every time they kiss, he turns back into this universe hot guy, making everyone confused. again.

1. The Romance of Tiger and Rose

Normal day script writer gets transported into her own story and the only way she can go home is to finish the story without dying. Too bad she gets transported into the body of the mean girl, The hero's first wife who he poisons. Someone who is literally the first person to die. The someone who dies 3 episodes in.

But uh oh! now that she survives, the whole story goes up in flames and while trying to get the hero and heroine (her sister) together, she makes the hero fall for her, makes the heroine turn into the villain and overall fucks up the plot in the worst and best way possible. She didn't even have to try. Oh, and she also made another guy fall in love with her which makes her husband the king of jelousy.

Worthy mention to their Servants, Bai ji and Zi Rui, who each share 1 of their own masters' brain cells and are absolutely done with their masters' constant lovey dovey bullshit.

Sweater Weather - MiHyo

"Mina and Jihyo decided to spend a day together by going to the mall for a while, in there they were going to the arcade, had some lunch, and maybe browse through the stores to find something cute. At one point the noise from the arcade was replaced by the drip-drop of rain through the ceiling, Mina got so excited since she loves the rain."

notes ─ This is for the Sweater & Rainy Day prompt, this is sorta joined to the Binnie story, in there we saw Mina and Jihyo going out, so this is what they did while hanging out. But you don't need to read the Binnie story to understand this one.

Mina was standing outside of Jihyo's Mercedes, waiting for the older girl to come out of the house and finally be able to go hang out - it’s been a while since they hung out just the two of them, without supervision or little kids tagging along - just a few moments later the sound of the front door was heard by Mina and she got excited.

When she heard the door unlock she quickly got into the passenger seat, putting her bag at her feet and buckling herself in, Hyo was more normally paced in getting into the driver's seat, but soon enough she turned it on and gave Mina full control of the music for the ride.

The ride to the mall wasn't a short one but it passed quickly since both girls were animatedly talking about all the things that they would do once they arrived. Once Hyo parked the car near one of the entrances Mina was quick to get out of the car and go to Hyo's side to make her walk fast, the penguin girl was focused on getting the most of her time at the arcade.

As soon as they stepped into the arcade Mina went to buy some game cards for them to use, meanwhile, Hyo texted Jeongyeon to let her know that they were already at the mall, it took the Japanese girl less than 5 minutes to come back saying “I've bought us the best deal they had, this are wristbands with 300 credits each and 50 physical tokens to spend. If we show them our wristbands at the food station we can get them larger without extra charge and some games give us double points" gushed Mina with a glimmer in her eyes.

They played a few rounds of skee ball, battled in the basketball machines, joined forces in shooting games, and hit several jackpots, only about half of their credits were gone but all the fun opened their appetites so they went to buy some snacks. It took around 10 minutes for their food to arrive and boy did it look delicious, the waiter served them a plate of nachos, a basket of fries, a cup of ramen for each, and 2 milkshakes, one chocolate, and the other strawberry.

The moment the waiter turned around they attacked the food, all their food was shared between the two, exchanging their milkshakes every so often to have the whole experience. "You really like the food don't you Ji?" asked Mina with a few giggles escaping her mouth, "Yesh, It tastes sho good" responded Jihyo with a mouthful "Why did you ask that?" questioned Ji staring at Mina, "You have a perpetual frown on your face, it's a clear sign that you are enjoying it" answered finally letting her laugh fully come out.

After they finished their mini feast, they went back to playing until all their credits and tokens were gone, once the moment came they combined the tickets won and decided on a prize for both. Their big prize was a bungeoppang maker, and each got the opportunity to choose another medium-sized prize, Mina picked a box of LEGO, Jihyo a board game, and each girl got a little plush.

They went back to the table they had previously occupied to see if it was doable to carry everything until it was time to go home or if it was better to go put them in the car, analyzing the dimensions of the things they decided that it was better if they put them on the trunk of the car.

Mina stopped in her tracks when they were getting closer to the exit, "Mina, are you okay? Why did you stop?" asked Ji when suddenly the Japanese put a finger to her lips and whispered, "Shh, can you hear that?" putting a hand to her ear. Jihyo tried to listen to what the other girl was listening to when Mina yelled, "It's raining!! Let's go see" grabbing the elder’s hand and pulling her outside.

Both girls got outside into the rainy weather, Ji was thankful that only a few drops of rain were falling so they would not get drenched, after quickly putting their things inside the trunk it was Ji's turn to grab Mina's hand and pull her back to the safety of the mall entrance. Once they were safe from getting wet Ji let go of Mina’s hand, the younger girl proceeded to cross her arms and pout, "I wanted to see the rain!" whined the now more regressed girl stomping her feet to show her discontent.

It was clear to Jihyo that Mina had regressed further than before, both girls had already regressed since they woke up but they were just back into their teens, now Mina was more in the child zone.

“I know that you love watching the rain, but we don’t have sweaters and we’ll get sick. So let’s go find some warmer clothes and then we'll watch the rain. How about that?” explained Ji hugging Mina by the shoulders and going towards the stores to find sweaters for both of them. "Okay, let's go and get sweaters. But if you don't keep your promise I'll make sure that you will regret it" stated Mina throwing a sweet smile, an action that made the thing she just said even creepier, and just like she hadn't just threatened her Mina kept walking and taking the elder's hand.

The quest to find their sweaters was not an easy one, some were super itchy, others too toddlerish, not soft enough, too ugly, just not what they wanted. They went from store to store without having luck finding something they liked, they almost admitted their defeat and just bought any sweater they found, the last 2 stores left were not exactly to their liking since they were where Mama and Mommy bought their clothes for when they were in toddler space.

Luckily they were able to find sweaters that they liked and even some more clothes in one of those stores, they got out of the store each one with a bag filled with clothes, and of course the sweaters. Mina's sweater was a white and beige one, with some zigzags and hearts as the design, while Jihyo's one was a white one with red strips on the bottom half of it, once they got into their sweaters Ji guided them to a little special place.

Mina kept whining the whole way there, trying to get Ji to tell her where they were going, suddenly they found themselves in front of a cafe, "Ji you said we were going to watch the rain not coming to eat" whined Mina stomping her foot and huffing, "We are, I swear just trust me" responded Jihyo saying something to the waitress.

The waitress took them to a little terrace area and gave them the menus, telling them that she would come back in a few minutes to take their order, "See, I told you we were going to see the rain. Just that we're doing it while keeping ourselves dry" said Jihyo browsing the menu, Mina did the same thing, throwing some glances to outside the terrace to watch the rain fall.

When the food came it made the moment so perfect, having a warm meal paired with cups of warm drinks and having a conversation with someone so dear to you accompanied by the sound of rain, was just the most ideal way to spend a day like this. Mina said a little Thank you, saranghae unnie, and gave a quick hug to the older girl, before turning her attention back to the rain.

Taking a bit of a left turn on the usual formula since I'm running low on traditional plants in the compendium (theoretically still have enough to make it through, but motivation towards those remaining is low).

Haven't talked a whole lot about Buddys (tis the species name so funny spelling) here lately, so a lot of this info may come out of left-field or be hard to contextualize, but here goes.

Flower Buddy Lilypods

Also known by their more scientific name, Flowering Amicans, Flower Buddys are a unique species of Buddy that are born from Lilypods, as featured here. As they're an accessory to Flower Buddys themselves, Lilypods deviate from the traditional model of flora categorization quite a bit, and as such aren't typically listed in flora compendiums. Nevertheless, seeing as they are very much like flora, they could be counted in an annex of an extended compendium in theory.

Lilypods are found naturally in the Flower Buddy Dimension. The first Flower Buddys grew there inside their Lilypods and emerged into the world proper along the coast of Reline Ah, where the Flower Buddy Dimension is connected to. Flower Buddys used to be a lot more outgoing, sailing to many different places on their Lilypads and sleeping in their pods at night. However, after the first Shadow Buddy War, the Flower Buddys retreated back to Fuline Ah and hid there for many years. Some millennia later, brave new Flower Buddys emerged from their dimension and began to explore again. Though there are thought to be others still living on the continent in seclusion, brave explorers are still few. Though they emerge now and then from their dimension, Flower Buddys are still scarcely seen worldwide in JI proper.

As for the Lilypods themselves, Lilypods can be manipulated by the Flower Buddy born from them and have two forms: Pod and Pad Form. Pod Form is featured above as is the Lilypod's default state. When Flower Buddys wish to use their Lilypods to sail without their natural reeds getting in the way, they can will the reeds to recede back into the center of the Lilypad. They can will the reeds back up when they wish to sleep or hibernate within their Lilypods, and can control the internal environment of the pod depending on if they want to sleep for a night or much longer.

Being an extradimensional plant, Lilypods' needs are quite different from a traditional plant's. They are sustained primarily by the dimension itself, sometimes even while outside it, though they may change to a darker shade of green and act a bit more 'sluggish' when apart from their home dimension. When in an environment suited to their needs, they can also rely on it for nutrition in a similar way that they do in their home dimension. They prefer a medium temperature, rich sediment, dispersed light, and for their roots to always be submerged in water. When any of these conditions are not met, they can rely on their connection to their home dimension to provide for them, but as mentioned before, may change appearance and act 'sluggish' by comparison depending on how out of their element they are.

Lilypods can only spawn in their home dimension, and do so independently of Flower Buddys themselves. Flower Buddys themselves bare children the normal Buddy way via Heartegg (though there is scarce documentation about this due to Flower Buddys' reclusive nature and dubious success rate, especially with non-plant species partners) and may select an empty Lilypod for their child to mature in back at the dimension. For this reason, Flower Buddys developed this way may or may not know who their parents are as they emerge from the Lilypod fully mature. That said, not all Flower Buddy pairings choose this method, or may only make use of it for the duration of fetal development, so some Flower Buddy hybrids may indeed be raised by their parents in a more traditional manner.

The Flower Buddy dimension itself is an expanse of water and mist with no discernible sun, though it may still have a day-night cycle that corresponds with JI's day-night cycle. Anything else in the dimension is constructed by Flower Buddys or whoever else has found their way there, typically Flower Buddy partners. There are no other known flora that grow there aside from Lilypods, though there are likely microorganisms and perhaps fish, but there has not been much research in that area as of yet.

Webtoon Recommendations

Number #1: UnOrdinary

This is one of my firsts and favorites, I absolutely ADORE it

Summary from Webtoons: Nobody paid much attention to John – just a normal teenager at a high school where the social elite happen to possess unthinkable powers and abilities. But John’s got a secret past that threatens to bring down the school’s whole social order – and much more. Fulfilling his destiny won’t be easy though, because there are battles, frenemies and deadly conspiracies around every corner.

Why I love it: The plot is compelling and John is extremely relatable, especially at his worst. Well, all the characters are all relatable in different aspects and also flawed. The story can be used as a parallel to our world and it also involves rebelling against the government + vigilantism. The story involves loss, the feeling of being powerless, friendship, enemies, regret, and it’s all put out beautifully.

BONUS/FAVORITE: The story easily could have gone terrible or become extremely controversial since it involves a world where everyone has special abilities, all at varying levels of power. Which once again, can be seen as a parallel to our world. And when you have a parallel to the real world, things can get heated fast.

Number #2: My Reason To Die

Like the misunderstood bad-boy trope? Like extreme emotions? Well this is perfect for you!

Summary from Webtoons: Ji-o’s luck runs out when she gets injured before the tryouts for the national taekwondo team. In the middle of facing what seems to be the biggest crisis of her life, she meets Gyeol, a mysterious boy who changes her life forever. He’s the definition of a bad boy with a good heart, and she finds herself unable to resist his charms. However, she might be playing with fire as he’s someone who’s involved with the wrong crowd. Is falling for Gyeol worth the risk?

Why I love it: Now this webtoon is beautiful. We see a blooming romance full of uncertainty and doubt, but then when Gyeol saves Ji-o it manages to break your heart and put it back together at the same time

Bonus/Favorite: Well I’m a sucker for romance and bad boys…buttt I also adore when there’s uncertainty and it seems like they won’t make it. Also I love sad things, and this is a great balance of the two.

Number #3: Death : Rescheduled

Like a story with attractive characters trying to change the world, all with sad backstories? Well you’re in luck! Snailords has blessed us with their gorgeous art and storylines. Also there’s our lovely Emai, who just loves violence.

Summary from Webtoons: Yes, you get one kill a year. But you can also get murdered for any reason, at all! In one district, sex and romance are also illegal. Kissed someone? Dead. Made coffee with the wrong amount of sugar? Extra dead. I’m done. We’re fixing this.

Why I love it: Well who doesn’t love a good dystopia? The art is beautiful and the characters have compelling personalities which are all unique. And now another sentence on how incredible each characters individual personality is ( clap here ).

Bonus/ Favorite: Honestly I admire and adore Snailords to the end of the world. Anything snailords related, I’d die for. Leading to our next webtoon…

Number #4: Freaking Romance

Oh Freaking Romance my beloved… My live, laugh, love, and life. This was probably the webtoon that impacted me the most. It’s supernatural, cute, romance, and has its melancholy parts.

Summary from Webtoons: A sexy supernatural story about being out on your own, finding your dream apartment and discovering that your new place is haunted by a handsome spectral stranger from another dimension. Sure, HE can’t see you and YOU can’t touch him, but who said every relationship starts out perfectly?

Why I love it: Can I look at the words romance or freaking without thinking of this webtoon? Nope. This webtoon is so touching and absolutely beautiful. You can practically feel the emotions as if they are your own. And once again, another sentence of admiration about Snailords. (Please someone fill the freaking romance shaped hole in my heart…)

Number #5: Wished you were dead

Well we can’t have pure romance! Also this webtoon currently is my life, ever since a friend recommended it.

Summary from Webtoons: King Karloi of Croisen finds himself at odds with his position in life. His wife’s father, Duke Deluah, is angling for the throne, and as an outsider to the family, Karloi fears for his position. His frustrations have affected his marriage, though he finds himself questioning his cold approach to his wife, Evonne. He may no longer recognize her, but Evonne saved his life long ago, and was his first love. This is but one of many secrets Evonne bears the weight of, having fallen victim to a curse that prevents her from telling any secrets...

why I love it: before you ask, this is hopefully not going to end in romance. I am an avid Karloi hater, and I’ll stay that way. Also, the art is stunning. With the art and storyline, you’ll find yourself screaming, crying, hitting the floor, etc. This Webtoon is incredibly put together, seeing how every moment will pull your heart in a new way. You’ll feel anger, sympathy, excitement, and everything I haven’t felt without Webtoons. The story also includes royalty and all that good stuff, which I adore.

Favorite/Bonus: Well this is a heart-wrenching story. And the regret in Karloi’s eyes will continue to be the fuel which pushes me everyday.

Number #6 (FINAL): Your Throne

And welcome to another one of my obsessions. Medea is quite literally life goals.

Summary from Webtoons: Tensions are brewing under the seemingly calm surface of the Vasilios Empire, a kingdom ruled by the Imperial Family and the Temple. Lady Medea Solon has lost her place next to Crown Prince Eros, but resolves to do whatever it will take to win back what's rightfully hers. Will she reclaim her throne?

Why I love it: in the beginning, we see a fight between Medea and Psyche, but they turn out to be great friends. the art is gorgeous, and the characters all are flawed in the most beautiful ways. Psyche and Medea balance each other out and make a great team, which I’m happy about. (They don’t need no men, just date each other) And Medea is ALWAYS PLOTTING. This Webtoon increases my IQ exponentially.

Bonus/Favorite: I feel like Medea plays the role of the necessary villain when she does questionable things for everyone’s sake. Without these, so many plans would have failed. You can’t expect to win without sacrifice, and this Webtoon shows that well.

Out of storage

Mythical J. Sausage of Sanctuary was tracking the evil version of himself. He eventually found the man on the banks of an expansive Dark Oak Forest. “Ah home sweet home.” Bratwurst said stepping off his boat. “And no Codboy next door to terrorize. this time around…” ES sighed grumpily. “I miss war General, he’s know how to vanquish this puny version of myself.” ES said hiking up the slope of the hill towards a ruin. “God they really let this place go to the dog didn’t they.” ES said kicking over a stone.

Sausage carefully followed a couple paces behind the other. The ruin was obviously very grand once but had been lost to time herself. Sausage was drawn out of his musings when the moons dim light was blocked out by a fast moving shadow. And landing behind ES during his self-monologue was a thing in dusty blue chitin with bone decals. It’s eyes were a noxious green. “Hello sausage. I’ve been waiting for you to make another appearance.” The shadow said and Sausage saw a beautifully carved cross bow loaded hanging in the blue things claw like hands.

“Eek! Ah! The Phantom Assassin I was wondering what happened to you in these long long a thousand years.” ES said spinning on his heel to face the slightly taller thing. “Couldn’t say the same, where did you hide?” The Phantom Assassin said shaking their head. “Oh you wanna know where I was?! I was STUCK in a crystal MIRROR REALM FOR A MILLENNIUM!” ES shrieked, Sausage couldn’t help but wince at the Phantom Assassin, ES was formidable would they be okay?

But… this phantom Assassin began to laugh. A deep basey thing that echoed through the dark woods. “Ah the good you always kept that horrendous sense of humour I see” they said shaking their head. “There is no good me! Only the one that reigned supreme!” ES said waving his dark broadsword. “And yet he trapped you in a sad mirror dimension?” Sausage felt like a third wheel not getting any of the jokes passed between friends, but these two were in fact not friends and were instead trading barbs.

With a sudden scream ES struck out with his sword going for a decapitating blow. Sausage almost jumped out of the woods to help the assassin but they just parried the blow with their long claws. “Come on! I get pulled out of storage just for this wimpy fight? Actually try!” They yelled ducking under another wild swing. “You’d think your patron would actually get you some fighting skills!” Phantom Assassin goaded before lunging towards ES’s heart with a small dagger that was tucked between their fingers. ES jumped back with a yelp. “Almost nicked me!” He said, seeming annoyed to even be almost hit by his assailant.

Every time sausage considered climbing out of the bushes he’d found himself in between sharp a barb or strike tossed between the two would remind him how out of his depth he was compared to the two probably/most likely ancient beings. “How’s Ji-“ ES started another jab his opponent. But The Phantom Assassin lunged at him and threw a hand over the other’s face. “That is not your name to say.” Phantom hissed, Sausage could hear an audible hiss come from the stranger. ES rolled and kicked the assassin off him before grabbing a rocket. “See you around looser!” And he shot into the air faster then what seemed possible.

It seemed The Phantom Assassin was going to follow but as his elytra flared sausage saw tears and rips and suddenly realized that they were wings, not an elytra. Hissing the Phantom Assassin thumped into the ground after attempting to get off the ground. “Of all the times to not bring rockets!” They groaned and then they took off their head. No, they took off their mask and Sausage couldn’t suppress a gasp. Under the mask was a man with tousled brown hair, a closely shaven beard and they had eye bags that would need to be checked.

Pix’s eyes snapped up to where he was hiding. He grabbed the crossbow from his belt and began to stalk towards him. In the dark it looked like his eyes were glowing, and suddenly Sausage realized just how intimidating Pix could be when he wanted to. With broad shoulders and dark eyes he could be quite scary. “Who’s there? I don’t want to hurt you.” Pix said stalking forward on silent feet. “Um hi Pix! It’s me Sausage! Not my evil doppelgänger.” Sausage poking up out of the bushes he immediately had to duck down to avoid a firework rocket straight in his eye.

“Hi!” Sausage said clambering out of the bushes. “Oh um hello?” Pix waved awkwardly and his eyes stopped glowing. “Yes hello! That was the first time somebody has actually held their own against him! How did you do it?” Sausage said jumping up to the archeologist. “Oh erm… lots of experience?” Pix said looking very awkward, “I’m actually very out of practice, I haven’t fought someone properly in a while.” Pix shrugged looking hilariously self conscious in a set of plate armour. “Really!? That was you out of practice? What are you like in practice???” Sausage asked feeling openly shocked. “I’m better with a trident too.” Pix said apparently not hearing Sausage’s increasingly stressed comments.

“Give me a month then you don’t have to deal with him anymore. Oh and I would appreciate if you won’t mention the whole 1000 years ago we fought comments to anybody.” Pix said as if running through a pre-prepared checklist. “I’m sure you have questions I’ll try to answer them the best I can!” Pix said finally stopping.

“Sure sure, let’s go back to Sanctuary then I’ll ask questions.” Sausage said as Pix pinned a zombie to a tree with a well shot arrow. “Oh right it is cold!” Pix said tilting his head. Sausage chose to ignore that particular bag of cats and passed Pix a pack of rockets. “Ah! Thank you!” Pix said, turning the rockets over in his hands. And he followed Sausage into the air towards Sanctuary. He noticed that Pix used almost double the amount of rockets, perhaps it had to do with his mangled wings. Soon enough they were inside Sausages warm living room, and Pix had rid himself of his armour leaving him in soft looking travelling clothes

“Oh okay, uhhh… how did you live 1000 years in the past?” Sausage asked fiddling with his sunflower broach. “A form of a demigod’s extended life span plus a healthy dose of minimal immortality granted by my god/mom, I’m also far older then 1000 or so years…” Pix said picking at his claw like nails. Huh, Sausage always assumed he wore gloves to stave off at least some of the dirt the Ancient Capital hosted.

“Okay cool cool cool… um, are you a phantom hybrid? And if you are how did your wings end up like that?” Sausage asked tilting his head. “I am, thanks mum!” Pix rolled his eyes. “Desert sun doesn’t like Phantom wings even if your a hybrid your wings can still get badly sunburnt.” Pix shrugged.

“How did you become this Phantom Assassin?” Sausage asked tracing a pattern on his arm chair. “Oh I was mad, I was hurt by someone and I wanted revenge. So I killed at least 30 phantoms and made the costume. And then killed a king.” Pix said tugging at his hair in a way that suggested it used to be far longer.

“Ah that’s awful. You mentioned your a demigod and your mum was the godly side?” Sausage asked, being the father of a demigod he wondered how it worked as they grew up. “Mhm, my mum is Kirinax, goddess of souls, death, and sometimes vegetables depending on who you ask.” Pix shrugged before letting out a yawn. “Ah! I’m a horrible host would you like something to drink?” Sausage asked leaping to his feet. “Some tea would be nice if it’s not too much trouble?” Pix shrugged with a short smile.

Getting up Sausage went to make some tea for the tired assassin he took his time trying to remember if phantoms were explicitly allergic to anything. Eventually he returned to the living room to find the archeologist dead asleep on the couch. Laughing Sausage covered the man with a blanket and went to bed himself.

When he woke up the next day all that was left of Pix was a short thank you note on top of the carefully folded blanket.

Hey! Sorry about falling asleep, you have a very comfy couch! Anymore questions can be sent to the ancient capital btw!
