Kit was born in Covington, his dad taught him how to fish and how to drink. His mom taught him how to cook and how to treat a woman right. He was always into music even as a kid, was inspired a lot by the music his parents would listen to.

His parents knew he had a passion for music but pushed him to attend college and do a 'serious degree'. Kit obviously didn't want to, and hella disappointed them when he told them he'd be jumping on a bus to Nashville to try and make it big with just himself and his guitar.

He worked his ass off for a short while, busking on the street and singing in bars to the same drunks. But then he got noticed and he got signed, and his music flew from there. The usual story of one album became two, and he went on tours around the country. Did pretty well for himself tbh, was relatively popular amongst the country music scene.

He met a beaaaautiful blonde and fell in love. She dreamed of becoming an actress so they moved to LA together. She was heavy into partying and dragged him into it, and in his early 20's he developed a cocaine addiction. I see them as a lil bit like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake early 2000s vibes, but with a dash of chaos from Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson energy.

She fell pregnant at 23, and they had a daughter. They were the 'cool parents' who didn't shelter her from the lifestyle they had.

But his agent pushed him for more music and he wrote some songs but they just weren't right. He realised he needed to move back home to the south, to his roots, to see if that would kick start his music again. Kit and his partner had an amicable break up, and he moved back to Covington while their daughter stayed in LA.

He wrote some music, but ultimately over the years decided he had moved on from releasing music and touring, and just wanted a simple life. Kit wanted to sit on his porch with his guitar and a beer, and his dog, and write music he loved.

He bought the line dancing bar and he uses it to bring people together with country music and a damn good time. He still loves to party tbh, and will hold nights where he'll either play some of his music or he'll showcase local talent. You can generally find him either working behind the bar or somewhere nearby, talking to his regulars.

His daughter is now 14, and in the past couple years or so she decided to move to Covington to live with him, and she is an avid horse rider.

Kit is pretty happy living his life in his hometown, writing music and sitting on his back porch with his guitar. He will pretty much always have either a beer or a cigarette in his hand. Loves a cowboy hat. Loves horse riding and fishing. He owns a couple horses and has a golden retriever called Rex. He can be pretty chaotic despite being a fully grown adult and a father. He will get you drunk and find it hilarious when you can't handle it. He's just here for a good time, not a long time, you know?

jatp fanfic idea that would've turned well as an episode of the show. Luke wakes up in the hospital in 95 and is confused as hell bc they were in caleb's club and tried to come back to julie. Luke's parents and bobby tell him there's no julie or caleb or Hollywood ghost club, saying that he was probably just having a big crazy dream while he was unconscious. But Luke knows it cant be right bc Reggie and Alex also remember Julie, Caleb, Willie. and they dont know what happened and none believes them. then they get to meet up w Rose again, but, she looks exactly like Julie. The boys try to say that isn't Rose bc Rose looked totally different, but Bobbt and Rose/Julie keep thinking they are still delusional and confused. bc yeah they woke up saying they had to get to the orpheum, and that part made sense to Bobby and Rose/Julie, but when the boys started saying they had to find Julie bc she didn't knew Caleb had kidnapped and controlled them, they were sure those hotdogs made a number on their head. Everything only gets weirder when Alex crash into Willie, again, and at first Alex thinks he's still a ghost, but Willie's seemingly alive and is a little concerned, but amused, the way Alex thinks they already met, telling him about some guy named Justin Bieber and saying weird slang like "lifer" and "poof out", Willie thinks is a weird way to flirt with him and that is also very cute. Luke and Reggie keep trying to convince their friends they've been in the future, retelling how Bobby stole their music and had a popstar daughter that was Julie's ex-best friend, and how Julie was a great singer and songwriter just like Rose, and they were supposed to play at the Orpheum, while Bobby and Rose seemed pleased by the idea of their daughters being friends and singers (Bobby wouldn't stop laughing when Luke told him about the stolen songs and the pranks they had pulled on him for it.) they still couldn't believe them. All of it gets weirder when Reggie's parents actually get a divorce, and Reggie's mom starts dating a guy who is exactly like Caleb Covington, bc he is Caleb, but he's neither a magician or club owner, he's a drama teacher who just moved to Hollywood.

but the boys wake up ofc. once they see Julie and is really Julie, they wont start bombing her with hugs and stories, Alex finds Willie and tells him all about it, Willie shrugs it off and say it was definitely a dream cuz Alex and him would never met if he was alive since Willie died on the late 80's. They missed their performance at the Orpheum a second time, but they are together and that's what really matters.

Details:

Back in 2018, while Lee was living in Flagstaff, he realized his relationship to alcohol was super not healthy and he got sober. It was definitely a struggle but it wasn’t sixteen in & outs of rehab, either — largely because of your character. Lee met them at a meeting, and they offered to Sponsor him. Lee moved to Silver Lake in 2019, so while they may have stayed in touch, things definitely shifted. He hasn’t gotten a new sponsor since your character; he’s been kind of trundling along, dealing … and then everything with his family happened, leading to his decision to return to Covington this January.

So he’s definitely in need of more support, and depending on how we decide Lee and your character left things, maybe Lee reached out, or maybe your character keeps tabs on old sponsees and got the bat signal that Something Was Up. While Lee probably didn’t disclose the entirety of his family’s situation/dynamic, your character would definitely know Lee and his father have a troubled relationship, and that Lee’s father was very controlling towards him when he was in high school. Your character probably heard about a few particularly bad moments and knows Lee still struggles with his father’s expectations and being himself, rather than the version of him his father wants. We can discuss specifics and details!

Ideally your character is a guy, and one who is Older than Lee — I’d like for him to have a genuinely positive relationship with some sort of guiding figure in his life, but as I said, I’m flexible on this point. So long as your character is still sober, we’re all good! Mainly, I’m looking for another support system for Lee, who’s bottling a lot of stuff up, and needs encouragement to start letting things out.

New documents reveal how a Brampton man conducted his operation and the steep prices he charged. U.S. authorities say Simranjit “Shally” Singh, a 40-year-old Indian citizen, conspired to move people over the border from Cornwall Island through Akwesasne Mohawk territory, which touches New York, Ontario and Quebec and straddles the St. Lawrence River.

On Wednesday, he pleaded not guilty to charges related to human smuggling in a federal U.S. court. “Singh has successfully moved illegal aliens northbound into Canada and southbound into the United States using the geographic vulnerabilities of the AMIR [Akwesasne Mohawk Indian Reservation]. Singh has been living in Canada illegally and has been able to elude law enforcement detection,” according to a request for provision arrest filed in a Brampton court by the U.S. Office.

It was the territory where two families died apparently trying to cross St. Lawrence recently, though authorities have not said there is any connection between the cases.

The accusations against Singh offer a rare look at how authorities say human smuggling networks operate and the steep prices they charge.

Some migrants told American law enforcement Singh charged between $5,000 and $35,000, the documents suggest, describing four “smuggling events.

In one event in March 2020, a person “CW-1” dropped three Indian citizens at the Great View Motel in New York, according to a request for provisional arrest filed in Brampton.

“I’m dropping them off at a safe space,” CW-1 crossed the river,” Singh responded. “Yes,” CW-1 replied. A video reveals CW-1’s car at the motel the three off.

Then, “CW-1 travelled to Cornwall to meet Singh, bring him bottles of liquor, and collect $4,000, which represented CW-1’s pay,” the request says.

But CW-1 was concerned the hotel had been rented in her name, and she returned to pick up the migrants. Border Patrol Agents saw her leaving the hotel and arrested all four in Fort Covington, New York.

In another case in March 2021, using the Akwesasne territory as a corridor, one migrant told law enforcement that “Singh bragged about smuggling over one thousand people and that CW-3 had nothing to worry about.”

Singh lost a refugee claim in Canada but couldn’t be deported without an Indian passport. His lawyers declined to comment to CTV News. Singh did not fight the extradition, though observers say fighting extradition to the U.S. can often be a tough battle.

“The bar is low. Even if a person is extradited, that doesn’t mean guilty. It just means that the requesting state has managed to meet that hurdle,” extradition lawyer James Bray told CTV News.

Singh was indicted in 2022 and was extradited to the U.S. last week. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s office said in a statement.

U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau agreed to a deal with asylum seekers coming to Canada through unofficial border crossings, a move critics said could mean refugees and migrants will take more risks when crossing.

Increased scrutiny at the border will drive more desperate people into expensive and risky schemes like the one Singh is accused of orchestrating, said Chris Ramsaroop of Justicia for Migrant Workers.

“We’re going to see more people put into perilous conditions,” he said. “These are strong deterrent measures that have a tremendous impact on the most vulnerable people,” Ramsaroop said.
