Lays down on the floor

I go back and forth with the idea that Crowley will be anywhere near the bookshop in season 3. At least until he and Aziraphale get in touch again perhaps. But like...

On one hand, it seems like the last place he'd want to be. Crowley may decide to go off and sleep and/or drink locked up in his flat. He may go traveling to another country or even venture off to a nebula like Alpha Cenuri to put some space between himself those memories. He's asked Aziraphale to go off with him how many times now? The third and final time he prefaced it with his feelings and look where that's gotten them. He seemed very... done at the end of season 2. And I get the feeling it was sort of a last straw, you've left me again after I begged you, tempted you to keep you safe; and you won't listen. It's lonely again on our my side but it may be better this way.

On the other hand, I could see him (angrily, with the smoke and lightning) forcing himself back into the bookshop to check on how Muriel is handling their "new job". Someone forbid they've sold any books. Have you been scaring off the customers? Good. No books have been ruined? They better not have been. Is everything in its place? Great. Crowley can go lie down with his extraordinary amounts of alcohol to mope while he supervises. Because he has hope. Hope that his friend, the being he loves and cares for, will be back. They've been back and forth over the years. They always come back together so what would make this time different? Well... it is different. Will be. He dreads that a little and hopes that they can fall back into their usual step like nothing happened.

Maybe I'll write a drabble for each one day. Just to get it out of my system.
