One of my favorite Leo headcanons is that Leo could not for the life of him tell you what a country looks like or where it’s located on a map or even what its name is, but show him a picture of some random dirt and he’ll pro geoguesser his way into instantly knowing where on the planet that dirt’s from (because he’s accidentally crashed face first into it enough to Know.)

AFFECTION HCs
Tumblr media
Gender Neutral Reader
Within the first week of getting together Leo is kind of distant in terms of affection
Don’t get me wrong they’re grateful for you and love you A LOT but bro’s lost like their entire family 💀
They need time to get adjusted to having someone so close again
When that first week passes they’re stuck to you like a magnet
I get the feeling that they’re really into quality time
Just being near you is enough for them
Hope you like to travel because Leo is constantly on the move looking for answers
Leo’s gotten used to sleeping alone so they won’t take up much space in bed
You’d have to physically hold them in place to not have them on the VERY edge of the bed
Doesn’t care for PDA that much
Just an occasional hand holding or arm on shoulder but nothing serious unless you initiated first
Prefers hugs to kisses
Leo wears gloves majority of the time but their hands are naturally cold(trust me bro)
If you’re shorter than them they’ll rest their head on your shoulder/head
If you’re taller Leo’s fine if you lean on them
Leo would burst into tears if you made them breakfast for any reason even if it’s a daily thing
Would be ecstatic if you cheered them on during the tournament
ofc unless you’re also participating
Appreciates it if you aid them with investigating their mother’s death(why wouldn’t you)
As much as Leo loves taking you everywhere with them they wouldn’t bring you spelunking with them
Shit is dangerous as hell stay outta the caves🗣️‼️
Brings you back rocks though and pictures
Will make chores a two person thing
It’ll be faster together after all
Would let you wear anyone of their jackets if you wanted
Has made it a habit later in the relationship to share EVERYTHING
Like you go out to eat you’ll just get one food item and share it
Excluding certain items like pizza that deadass can’t be shared unless you rip it in half💀
They’ll go with you to do anything
Wanna go feed ducks? Sure!
Painting class? Why not!
Rob a bank? Well, that’s wrong but—okay!
Leo just wants to make you as happy as you have made them ⛹️💨

Hahahahahahahahaha
I’m evil
Evil idea
Leo + mystery egg = angry family tearing New York and the hidden city apart before he could explain.
Like he pops up nervous and asking about how babies are born and stuff to his bros when-
Glass shattered- the most terrifying he’s ever seen his father enters the room. Breath heavy and steam coming from him as he asks, “Who?”
Leo sweats in confusion and tries to explain. Splinter can’t hear him over his desire to kill. He turns to his brothers only to see Raph and Donnie with the same expression.
He looks at Mikey who has his thumb up. Oh good, Mikey is sane and will here to hear him out.
He watches with a sweat at his family running out. April gets called to control them.
“So what actually happened?”
“Found MeatSweats with a giant egg. I took it and left a note.”
“What did you write?”
“If he ever goes anywhere near an egg like the one I found I will make sure he can’t have any of his own. Which is why I asked about babies. Pretty sure he can’t lay eggs?? But Meatsweats probably could??? I don’t know.”
“Want me to help you incubate it?”
“Yes, I think Donnie just sent me a text telling me how to set up.”
Things are escalating horribly on Aprils end and she’s had enough.
“Fine! If you’re not going to support him when he needs you, then I’m taking him and Mikey!”, she doesn’t believe Leo laid an egg but she needed their attention.
“Wait! Perhaps we were a little hasty with our assumption?”
“You think!?”, said someone tied upside down.
“Silence fool!”
They come back calmer and see Leo with a large and colorful egg. He couldn’t have laid it.
“I was going to tell you I saved an egg from being eaten by Meatsweats but you went totally insane, so thanks for that.”
“We’re sorry….”
————
Later….. do you think I shall tell you what was in the egg or shall I let you guess and tell me what it should be?
Because I want to draw his soon to be child.
If he keeps it.
Bye!
Also there were consequences to the rampage but I’m not getting in to that yet.

Maybe you could write o’knutzy date night and them just being so fucking in love?
Hi Anon! This one kind of wrote itself and it's a bit random, but I quite like it? I hope you do to!

Credit for Leo, Finn and Logan go to @lumosinlove
"Did I win?" Logan asked, tearing his helmet off as he stumbled from the Huracan.
Rashid, the tall, wiry brunette who had been saddled with the job of making sure that he, Leo and Finn were given the VIP treatment gave a small chuckle. "Yeah," he nodded, "You definitely got round the fastest."
"See, this is why we don't let him drive," Finn scoffed. "Zero self preservation."
"You're just a sore loser."
Finn pushed Logan out the way, taking the spot in front of bemused looking Rashid. "Can I go again? I mean we're already breaking our contract just being here, why not risk death, huh?"
Rashid glanced his watch, his forehead crinkling slightly in the centre before he managed to school his features into a smile. "Er, yeah, I'm sure -"
"Hey, no, it's okay. We've been here way longer than we should have been already," Leo interrupted. "Let me apologise for my bo-," he paused, clearing his throat quickly. "Let me apologise for my teammates. They're athletes. Can't help being competitive y'know?"
Rashid waved his hand dismissively, "Don't worry about it. Trust me you're very well behaved by the standards we see in here."
Logan winced internally, figuring those standards were probably not too high. "Non, we are sorry. If you can show us back to where we left our things, we will leave you to get on with your day."
Rashid showed them off the race circuit and back to the large glass atrium where they had entered. Once they had gathered their bags, Logan thrust his hand out towards the attendant, "Thanks again, you were fantastic. We'll let the management team know we were very satisfied."
Leo stepped forward next, adding his own thanks and sliding his wallet from the front pocket of his backpack. "Here, let me give you a tip. I know this was way above your pay grade."
"It's not a bribe though, you can still go to media and tell them we're total jackasses if you want. Get that dollar," Finn added, leaning casually against a metal beam that.
Logan groaned, pulling the brim of his cap further down his forehead. "Please ignore him."
Thankfully Rashid didn't seem to take any offence, his laugh deep and sincere. "No, no media. I know this isn't very professional, but there is one thing you could do for me?"
"Go on," Logan said, gesturing for him to continue.
"An autograph? I have twins and they are big fans of The Lions," Rashid said, and Logan breathed a sigh of relief that this was not some outrageous request. "They would love if you could sign something for them."
"Of course," Logan smiled, reaching forward to accept the pen Leo offered. He slipped one his photocards from the pouch slung across his chest, having learned to carry them almost everywhere after a few occasions of meeting a fan who didn't have anything for him to sign. "Is it okay for me to do it on the back of this, or did you have something else?"
"No, that is perfect. Thank you."
"What's their names?"
"Oh, one second. I have a photo." Rashid's patted the breast of his jacket. He hesitated, his eyes flicking back up to Logan's face before he pulled out a small square, barely larger than a passport photo. "This is Nia," he said, pointing at the young girl sporting a maroon coloured hijab that matched the jersey she was wearing, and a wide smile that showed off her braces. "And this is Ari." Rashid's finger traced over the matte paper to the boy sat next to Nia.
"They look like great kids," Logan gave the rehearsed sentence. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy meeting fans, but right now he was on a date and it just wasn't exactly what he wanted to be doing in the moment. He shoved the slight resentment away, concentrating on writing something meaningful on the back of his photocard.
***
"It's not a bribe though!" Logan punched Finn lightly in the arm as soon as they had pushed through the doors to the parking lot. "What were you thinking?"
"Hey, at least he didn't near fucking out us," Leo drawled, stabbing at the button on the car fob.
Finn climbed into the front passenger seat, grasping Leo's hand across the console. "Don't stress about it, I don't think he noticed anyway. And even if he did, he probably just thought you were going to say your boys. Just three bros hanging out, racing cars. Can't get more straight than that."
Leo wrinkled his nose, and Logan wanted nothing more than to lean into the front and kiss it. He resisted though, there were too many other cars in the lot to risk it.
"Thanks for arranging it, Lo. It was fun," Leo turned to look at him.
"We're not done yet. I was thinking we could go get ice-cream?" Logan said, laughing as Finn's eyes brightened.
"At Fortescue's?"
"At Fortescue's," Logan agreed, rolling his eyes. He preferred the parlour on the other side of town that brought out new flavours each week, but could admit the quality was better at Fortescue's and it made Finn happy, so he was happy.
"They do the best vanilla there."
"Leo, what did we do so wrong to deserve a boyfriend who thinks vanilla ice cream is something to get excited about?" Logan sighed, playfully exasperated.
Logan never did get an answer to that question, but thirty minutes later, wandering through the quiet woodlands that Fortescue's ice cream parlour backed onto, Logan was asking himself something different.
He clutched his ice cream cone, a combination of double chocolate and birthday cake flavoured which was the most adventurous Fortescue's got, in one hand. His other was tucked into Leo's swinging in the space between them. A few feet ahead, Finn had carved their initials into a tree and was working on the heart to surround it.
What had he done so right so deserve these two?

Unbroken (Mikey x Reader)
Rated: T Gender Neutral Reader, pre-relationship, angst, hurt/comfort, Mikey whump, brothers not coping well with stress/fear, victim blaming, affection, love confessions, friendship/love
Mikey's been injured beyond anything his family has experienced before, leaving his brothers terrified. While Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo struggle with their own guilt and fear, you take over your dearest friend's medical care. for @brightlotusmoon
Tension pours from the Lair into the tunnels. You move quickly.
Something had told you to bring your delivery of medical supplies early, but what you had chocked up to a gut-feeling now feels much more likely to have been a call from the energies that connect you to Michelangelo and his Father. That psychic pull flares as you draw near and there's no longer room for doubt.
Your messenger bag slips down your arm as you increase your pace. It catches on your elbow awkwardly as you carry the heavy cooler of sundry medicine vials, but you don’t let that slow you down. There’s panic in the air - anger and fear. Casey’s and Raphael’s voices echo through the space - another call for your attention.
Casey urges Raphael to stop raving before he says something he’s going to regret. But his pleas are ignored.
Raphael shouts over Casey’s shoulder from the tunnel into the infirmary. He spits accusations and threats at someone unseen.
In plain clothes, but with all the authority of a Detective, Casey gives Raphael a final warning before pushing past his raging friend and stepping up to you.  He grabs the cooler and leads you into the infirmary, thanking god for your arrival.
“Donnie will be so glad you’re here.”
You would have come sooner had someone sent word. You’re about to say as much when Casey steps out of the way and the sight of Mikey laid up on a hospital bed leaves you speechless. Frozen. Donnie gives you a frightened look before his eyes drift to his quarreling brothers, then draws the curtain to block them out.
Raphael’s bellows behind your back, shocking you out of your stupor. “Ya shoulda been there!”
Your heart leaps, thundering against your ribs. You turn around, breath caught in your throat wondering how on earth you could have prevented such a thing. But Raphael is rounding on Leo, not you, shoving his older brother square in the chest as he brings his face too close.
“Ya shouldn’ta sent him away!"
Tension ripples up Raph's arms from his fists to his shoulders as he crowds Leo into a corner. "This is on you, Leo. If he don’t wake up- If he don’t... “
When words fail him, Raphael launches himself at his brother with a growl.
Casey’s face twists into horror as Leo, outwardly stoic and calm, takes his brother on.
In a quick series of grabs, Leo has Raphael twisted and pinned against the wall in seconds. Leo eyes him with a look of impatience and disappointment. “Walk it off, Raph.”
“Try’na get rid of me too, huh?” With his face pressed against the cement, Raphael grinds out his words through clenched teeth.
Leo turns to Casey, as if he doesn’t have time for such an inconvenience as this. “Get him out of here. He’s making Don nervous." His grip on Raph lets up as he turns to face the curtain once more. "We’ve been hurt before. We heal. Everything is going to be fine.”
You've only caught a glimpse of Mikey's condition. But you've never seen Donatello so scared. You wonder who Leo is trying to convince.
Raphael seethes as Casey takes him by the arm, but he isn't forced out of the room. "Ain't been this bad. Never this fuckin' bad."  Raph's voice is hoarse from shouting and crying, but his words don’t seem directed at Leo anymore. As his disbelief turns from swears to prayers, you think you hear him making deals with god and the devil.
“Swear to god, bro,” Raph says, sliding down the wall to sit on the floor, “if you don’t wake up, man…” With his elbows on his knees, Raphael buries his face in his hands.
Casey lays a hand on his friend's shoulder before the radio at his belt urges him topside. "I'm sorry," he says to the room. "I gotta..."
Raphael's head hangs lower, but he nods.
Leo stands stoic - arms resting at his sides, ignoring Casey's words of departure, watching the drawn curtain. Blinking but not seeing. His breath is even enough for him to be attempting some form of meditation, and you think that’s for the best. But you wonder how long the quiet will last.
Casey tips his head toward the hospital bed. A small jerky movement that grabs your attention. You look at him, head spinning. “You gonna be OK with this?”
You glance over your shoulder to where the curtain hides Donnie and Mikey from view.  Slowly, you nod. Even before med school you were proficient at compartmentalizing. You can help Mikey without becoming overwhelmed by seeing your best friend in whatever condition he’s in. You just need to get in there, see what you’re working with.
“I’ll be alright,” you tell Casey and remind yourself.
You wave him off, draw back the curtain, and take a fortifying breath.
At the head of the hospital bed, Donnie moves as if on autopilot. He's set a PICC line just under Mikey's shoulder and is starting a transfusion. He's talking himself through the steps, laying out his plans for what to do next. Even as you approach, he remains completely focused on his tasks.
His hands shake as he lifts a fresh bag of fluids to the IV stand. Careful as he tries to be, the bag slips from the hook and lands with a wet slap on the floor.
You crouch down to help and lay a hand on his arm as he apologizes for this little hiccup in Mikey's care.
Unshed tears cloud his vision.  He looks almost as pale as his brother lying on the bed. It's obvious he's doing the best he can, and you couldn't ask for more.
Donnie watches you easily hang the bag and open the line. He holds his breath as you properly take in the scene. “He shouldn’t have been out there alone,” he says quietly. It sounds like another apology.
From the edge of the curtained area, Leo parrots the same words. The way he says them, however, sounds like an accusation.
“He knows better,” Leo continues, coming closer to Mikey's bedside. The more Leo speaks, the more life returns to his eyes. Fire heats Leo’s words. You suppose anger is easier to feel than fear. “What was he thinking?”
From the floor, Raphael chokes on a sob. “You knew better. The fuck were you thinkin’, huh?”
Leo widens his stance and rolls his shoulders back, ignoring his younger brother's latest outburst.
The monitor at Mikey’s bedside beeps, Mikey starts to convulse, and it’s easy to tune out everything else.
You and Leo struggle to hold Mikey still as Donnie checks the equipment.
Donnie adjusts the speed of the morphine drip, scanning Mikey's body and the monitor displays. His mouth is set in a hard line. His jaw ticks with how hard he's clenching his teeth to keep his lip from trembling.
He wipes his eyes on the back of his wrist and pretends he's not close to tears seeing his only little brother injured beyond what any of them have ever faced.
Even as their eldest brother works to restrain Mikey from further aggravating his injuries, Leo asks if it's really a good idea to increase the narcotics. "We don't want him dependent on that stuff."
It was the last straw for Donatello. His resolve falters. He faces Leo with color high on his cheeks and opens his mouth to argue. But he sputters and fails to string together an explanation fit for Leo’s approval. Too much of his energy has been depleted by Mikey's care for Donnie to dumb down his course of treatment into terms Leo can understand.
You place a hand on Donnie's shoulder and offer him a knowing look.
"One thing at a time," you tell Leo with the calm authority of your medical expertise. "We get Mikey through this, first. We'll titrate him off the meds when he no longer needs them."
Exhausted and exasperated, Donnie ducks his head and steps aside to let you take over. He watches you assess the work he's done. He holds his breath as you review the scans and x-rays he provides.
There’s nothing for him to be ashamed of. His stitches are hasty, but they'll hold. The broken bones have been set properly.
There's a pain in your chest as your brain switches the images in front of you from patient to Mikey to patient again. You know that unbiased detachment will serve you best in your decision making tonight, but the crease between your eyebrows twitches as you spend a second too long watching Mikey's eyelids flutter, hoping for them to open.
Mikey is barely conscious, groaning with every squirming movement but seemingly unable to keep still.
The file Donnie's prepared lists a concussion on top of deep tissue bruising, stab wounds, broken bones, a dislocated knee, and a cracked plastron. Mikey's head is wrapped. Thick gauze pads the left side of his skull and dark bruises color his swollen face. With each injury your interest in the case, in the patient before you, grows more clinical.
You mutter, more to yourself than to Donnie or anyone else, your review of what's been done and what still needs doing. Donatello nods along, keeping up and eager to learn even in the midst of the crisis. Perhaps especially due to the nature of this one.
And after a few more minutes of tweaking the medications, your dear patient eases more deeply into sedation.
You smooth your hand over the gauze above Mikey’s ear and allow yourself a breath of relief. His glassy eyes blink up at you, unfocused until you run the back of your fingers down the side of his face.
Memories of all the times he’s called you ‘Angel’, the times it felt less like a place holder for ‘Dude’ and more like a pet name chosen specifically for you, poke and prod the edges of your mind until one memory rushes through.
You and Mikey sitting on the rooftops together. His feet dangling over the edge of the building, kicking out a rhythm as he percusses with his hands upon his thighs. You rocking forward and back as he listens with rapt attention to you talking about Med school: your residency, your hopes and dreams for advancing the field of neurobiology, and the sundry inbetween stuff that never feels like tangents when you're speaking with him.
You’re lost in the memory of the night, of you and Mikey and endless possibilities, when Donatello gives your shoulder three taps and pulls you back to the present.
The hairs on your arms rise when Master Splinter arrives to check on Mikey's progress. You wish you could say it was his raw psionic power that gives you chills, or his virtuous presence that tears your attention from your patient. There's no compassion or concern flowing from him right now. And it's neither respect nor admiration you feel for him in this moment.
Though Splinter approaches the bed, his energies remain rather distant. Cool. Complacent. He reaches out to Mikey through their psychic bond and nods in approval. "He will learn from this,” Sprinter says, voice a low, monotonous hum. “Grow stronger." He turns from his youngest with a clipped, "Humph," and moves to the corner of the room without offering a word of comfort to any of his sons. He sits to meditate, unperturbed by the scene.
As if taking a cue from their father's indifference, Leo and Raphael start up their squabble again.
It's too loud. Too much. Reading Splinter's energy and watching Mikey's shrink from it like a kitten being scolded for mistaking wicker furniture for their scratch post tests your nerve, grates on your mind, and burrows under your skin.
A year into your residency, and twice as long helping the Hamatos, you think you'd be able to handle anything. But you begin to get shaky. How Donatello worked so long with his brothers looking over his shoulder and arguing behind his back, you'll never know.
Every now and then Splinter comments on the strength of Mikey's chi. He seems oblivious to the fact that his son was literally writhing in pain on this hospital bed moments ago. The harder Splinter insists on Mikey’s resilience and tenacity, the more you feel Mikey pulling in on himself, frightened to show his Father the truth of his condition. Protecting his family from his frailty and pain even as he lay nearly unconscious.
Meanwhile, Leonardo insists that this all could have been avoided if Mikey would have exercised some patience and common sense by not going up to the surface alone.
“Where were you, anyway, Raph?" The unending feud cycles around and around. "You’re supposed to look out for him.”
When Leo starts apologizing on behalf of Raph's and Donnie's negligence, you think his younger brothers are going to snap. You make the call to get them all out, so you can focus on Mikey without worrying about playing referee.
Leo catches Splinter on the way out, making plans to meditate together through the night.
Before Donatello leaves, he pops by for a goodnight. “Get well quick, little bro,” he pleads, squeezing his arm and dropping a kiss upon the crown of his brother’s head.
Raphael does similarly, adding that they’re bedroom won't be the same tonight. Without Mikey's headphones hanging off the side of the bed, still playing music while his snores somehow ride the beat of each song, Raph won't get a wink of sleep. “Won’t sleep til you’re there buggin’ me again.”
Mikey responds with quiet murmurs that his brothers all but ignore. They're more accustomed to and comfortable with hearing their own voices than listening to their brother's pain.
With the room clear, it’s easier to hear Mikey’s mutterings for what they are. Though speaking through a fog of pain and anaesthetic, he’s not incoherent.
Your heart sinks to realize he understands what's happening to him, that he’s likely heard everything that’s been said in the room. The shouting, the crying. The selfish demands on his suffering body. The detached sureness of his Father.
So confident that all will be fine, Splinter hadn’t even laid a hand on Mikey or spared a shred of empathy before he had gone.
You pay close attention to Mikey’s words, letting them inform your care.
Mikey’s eyes peek through heavy lids, trying to follow you around the room. But when you’re at his side again, and your hand strokes his face, his eyes close.  He leans into your palm despite his bruised and fractured jaw.
For a few minutes you remain just like this - cradling his face in your hands, watching him drift in the haze of sedation, feeling his energies ebb and flow from their hiding place in their search for the safety he’s always found with you.
“I’m here,” you assure him gently. “It’s only me.”
Your promise is enough for his energies to move free.
Hushed sounds and quiet clicks of your tongue fill the space between you as you put Mikey’s mind at ease. Your fingers pitter-patter over his cheek bones and down the sides of his neck as you palpate for further injuries. They pass over his clavicle and shoulders as Mikey stutters a breath.
A sling traps his arm against his chest, where his fingers tap the scute over his heart. It’s a small movement, perhaps one of the only movements he can safely make in his condition, and even then, it must be a challenge. For someone you’ve only seen lying this still during his most depressive episodes, you think being incapacitated thusly must be torture.
His bandaged hand is heavy as you lift it. His fingers are cool under the press of your lips. They curl reflexively around yours and you kiss his hand again.
“My best days are the ones I spend with you,” you whisper. It hurts to be burdening him with such a thing right now, but you also think it’s a truth he should hear sooner rather than later.
Mikey’s chest rises and falls with staggered, labored breaths as you pet his chest. You talk and Mikey lets your voice wash over him. He leans his head back, relaxed and floaty, feeling like he's in a dream. And as he has so many times before, in dreams, Mikey tells you he loves you.
You bite your lips together as tears fill your eyes. For the first time tonight you think they’ll truly spill over. “Love you, too,” you say, and it doesn’t matter to you whether he means it romantically or as friends because the relationship you share and the love you’ve fostered for each other doesn’t need labels or constraints.
When Mikey seems to be falling asleep you try to give him some space, but he doesn’t want you gone. His mind is quieter when you’re at his side.
You rub his leg as you stand by his bed. Though your back is aching and your feet protest the constant bustle, you still haven’t been able to sit.
“Tell me if you need anything,” you say in earnest.
Despite your efforts to keep Mikey hydrated, his words are but a croak. “Just you.”
“Hm?”
“You here. Could you-” Mikey’s eyes close and his hand turns palm up on the bed. Though he can’t muster the strength to lift his arm, his fingers curl and release inviting you back. You slide your hand into his and give it a light squeeze.
“Stay,” he whispers weakly.
Sleepy, and still in pain despite the heavy opiate cocktail you and Donatello created for him, Mikey gives a weak tug on your hand and whimpers, begging you to understand what he needs.
You climb up, thankful for the extra wide bed, and rest against his wrapped plastron carefully. He buries his face into the top of your head. He nuzzles the hand you’ve raised to cup his cheek. The soft, sleepy sounds he makes drift in and out, sometimes words and sometimes just a hum.
“...M no good,” Mikey mumbles into your hair, and you feel his breath hitch. “Not good enough.”
“Oh… no, baby,” you say, bracing yourself on the mattress and pushing up to look him in the eye. You stroke the lines of his brow ridge above his eyes, left and right, until his eyes flutter open. They shine with tears threatening to fall. “You’re always enough. Always been enough.”
He gives the slightest turn of his head, but his eyes stay locked on yours as if desperate to believe your words. His lip trembles. His tears slide down his cheeks.
“You’re perfect, sweetheart.” You continue to pet his face, but you let his tears fall freely, letting him know it’s alright to cry.
“For you?” Mikey asks, bordering on inaudible. But you hear him. The question rises from the depths of his being, calling out to you, and you answer the call with the truth of your soul.
“Always. Perfect for me. Forever perfect for me.”

Bay/rise 39!! @errorfreak88 @yarchurr @digitl-art-monstr @brightlotusmoon @sprinklestheditty @dakotafinely @sententiously-sarcastic
Content warning!! Mentions of Violence, Blood, and mental/body trauma!!
It was just dumb luck that Krang happened to look up and see them. Eight turtles staring down at him, white eyes glowing as they looked more like ghosts than mutants. Almost as if some avenging spirits had come out of hiding to enact revenge on the ones that did them wrong in life. Following Krang’s gaze, both Cassandra and Draxum looked upward as well.
“Complete the ceremony.” Draxum whispered to Cassandra before turning his attention to the turtles. “VILE CREATURES! What gives you the right to step foot in the home of my Grand Oni?! You will suffer for this injustice!”
“GET THEM!” Krang hissed, and at the command Shredder gave a roar and charged. He jumped up against the wall, the force of his strike making the technodrone shake as his claws dug into the metal.
“Master Krang!” Draxum pleaded quite suddenly, “You must keep Master Shredder in the circle for the ceremony to work! Please, great oni, let me handle the turtles!”
Krang watched him for a moment, and Draxum felt as if he might finally be called out for his treachery before Krang called Shredder to return. Shredder looked to Krang, and then jumped off the walls of the technodrone and landed right where Krang had commanded him to. Draxum smiled and finally stood to face the turtles. His thin vines shot out fast and tried to strike the brothers out of their hiding place.
***
Leonardo recognized what was happening almost immediately. Without a word to his companions, Leonardo jumped. His feet found holds on the whipping and swiping vines that carried him just as much as they tried to knock him over.
“LEO!” Raphael jumped after him, and under his bigger feet the vines grew thicker to support him.
Michelangelo and Donatello were soon to follow, and Raph was more than ready to jump after them before Leo held out his arm to stop his brute of a brother.
“Can’t just sit here, Leo!” Raph growled.
“Just wait.” Leo whispered to his brother.
Leonardo reached the ground, and his brothers were right behind him. Raphael stood as equals with Leonardo, their other two brothers hanging slightly behind them. Leonardo flashed his odachi.
“Leo, what are you—“ Raphael went to say.
“Listen here, Draxum!” Leonardo declared loudly, “If you want my clan, then you’re gonna have to go through me!”
Draxum’s eyes widened just the slightest bit before he caught on, his vines wiping around him in a dangerous display of power as he played along. “Leonardo. Leading your brothers to die? How pathetic!”
“Leo…?” Raphael whispered softly.
“Just trust me, bro.” Leonardo said before quickly stepping up to stand before the full strength of Baron Draxum. “To get to my brothers, you’ll have to go through me first!”
“Very well…” Draxum narrowed his eyes. All at once, Draxum’s vines shot out at Leonardo.
With all the speed he could muster, Leonardo faced the attacks head-on in a charge. Weaving in and out and up and down and dodging the blows that were coming at him like they were actual attacks because they were! Baron Draxum never pulled his punches. When Leonardo got within danger-distance, Baron Draxum side stepped in a manner that Leonardo recognized immediately because he had just gone through the same thing with Leo! Maybe that spar had helped something after all...
Leonardo immediately knew what to do.
Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo charged to their brothers aid. Raphael’s eyes searched up at the glint of metal and he saw Krang first, and then the great monster beside him. Raphael’s blue eyes went wide, and then even wider as he pulled back and stopped his charge. He knew Shredder was going to be here, he had been warned of that, but now he was standing before the great beast that had shred through his carapace like it was paper. And he looked even bigger Raphael remembered him being. Raphael couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t move, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to!
Donatello stopped much the same. Imagining those claws coming down on him, breaking his brother in two. The sound of shattering bone rang in his ears and even though he knew it was only a memory, he had to look around to check on his brothers. To make sure they were whole! Michelangelo was the only one to continue his charge, his eyes screwed so tightly shut that no light could get through them. He didn't need to see to know where to go, he could feel it! And sure enough, his shoulder struck Cassandra hard and tossed her to the ground.
Leonardo did a flip, mostly just to show up, and made a portal on the ground on his way down. He made the exit portal a few feet above Draxum’s head. He used the force from his flip and fall and turned it into a stronger attack, flashing his odachi and preparing to slam it down hard on Draxum. The yokai’s ears gave the slightest twitch, and then he spun to face upward, balancing on one hoof as he grabbed one of his vines and it used it as a barrier to block Leonardo’s attack. Leonardo’s sword sank deep into the flesh of the vine, but Draxum still held strong, though sweating.
“I need to get the others out of here.” Leonardo said, “Can you help me?”
Draxum gave only the slightest grunt before tossing Leonardo carelessly. The slider landed hard but was quick to recover against the sting of his flesh and he scrambled to grab his disarmed sword. He grabbed it just in time for a large vine to come slamming down at him.
Raph was helpless as he watched, each passing second only serving to fuel him with even more anxious energy until he thought screw it! And he jumped from the platform without Leo’s command.
“Raph!” Donnie jumped after him, and then Mikey after Donnie. Leo, without much else of a choice, jumped with his brothers.
“RRRRR GET THEM!” Krang commanded, pointing at the brothers as they fell.
Shredder gave a furious roar and charged them like a cat, bounding effortlessly over the fighting below him as his eyes were locked on his target.
Raph’s ivy eyes went wide. “Oh… that’s guys a lot bigger than our Shredder.
“STAY AWAY FROM MY SONS!” Splinter roared, struggling with all the might of his ten years of training. He started to gnaw at the vines that held him.
The eyes of Leonardo’s brothers, Cassandra, and Krang all followed Shredder’s movements, and Draxum saw his chance. He grabbed Leonardo quite forcefully around his plastron and spoke quickly.
“Portal now.”
He tossed Leonardo hard at the wall, but Leonardo cut his way to safety by the means of a portal before he could hit. Draxum charged after him, and the portal closed the second Draxum passed through.
Then they were somewhere cold and dark and, most importantly, alone.
“Where did you take us?” Draxum asked.
“Don’t ask me!” Leonardo said, “You said make a portal, I made a portal! It’s freezing in here…”
“We don’t have much time.” Draxum spoke urgently, “You have a plan, what is it?”
Leonardo went to answer but hesitated. “I have… a question.”
“Well then ask it!” Draxum spat.
“Hueso said you needed a sacrifice of Hamato blood to defeat Shredder.” Leonardo said quickly, “Does it have to be dad?”
“It must be Hamato!”
“I know that.” Leonardo put his hand to his chest and smile weakly, “But I am Hamato…”
***
The battle roared on upstairs. In Draxum’s absence, his vines disappeared, and Splinter dropped hard to the floor with a sickening crack. Leo hardly had time to process the heart-wrenching sound before Shredder was upon them, his claws flashing his fury at the invaders. With a quick-thought swipe of his bo, Donnie knocked all his brothers out of the way of the swipe and took the hit himself.
Leo prepared for Donnie to be shredded, but he wasn’t. Shredder swiped him like a cat with a mouse toy, pinning Donnie beneath the weight of his claw and lowering his head to look at the box turtle with a monstrous smile before wrapping his hand around the mutant and carrying him off. Leo swiped at Shredder’s feet trying to get him to drop Donnie, but Shredder delivered a simple, sharp kick to Leo that sent him flying far and hard. Shredder took his position back in the ceremony and waited.
In a flash of swords and vines, Leonardo and Draxum fell from high up in the technodrone. Draxum used his vine to soften their fall ever so slightly, the thorns slicing into him and Leonardo both and leaving long, jacked cuts across their flesh. Draxum landed on top of Leonardo, his hoof planted firmly on the slider's neck.
“ENOUGH OF THIS!” Draxum summoned up what remained of his power into a final, all-out strike that sent his vines flying outward and striking all turtles who dared make a mockery of his ceremony. Michelangelo was shoved off of Cassandra, and Raphael and Donatello were tossed into the remaining Mikey and Raph. Then the vines all pulled back to form a solid wall around Krang and his prisoners, Draxum, Cassandra, and Leonardo. “The ceremony is almost complete.”
His words were directed in equal parts to Krang and Leonardo as Draxum stepped back to help Cassandra finish her work quickly. Krang finally stepped up, his patience quickly worn thin, and he armed his blasters to fire.
“You were interesting for a time, but it’s time for something far more entertaining.” Krang laughed, “What do you think, Draxum? Should I let my new pet take care of him?”
“Your pet’s savagery knows no bounds.” Draxum commented with a laugh, “He would tear and rip all that flesh and its pretty patterns! Surely you’d want it more preserved if you plan to showcase him.”
“Fair point…” Krang smiled evilly.
***
“NO!” The roar of both Raph’s sounded out.
Raphael charged the vines with all his force and tried to slam into them to no luck. He took his sai and both he and Raph tried to slash and cut at the ever-thickening wall. For a moment, Leo was stuck in his own shock and horror, still near the crevice his shell made upon his impact, before he recovered and charged to join. Each slash his katana landed was more quickly mended, but he didn't stop. Mikey and Michelangelo and Donatello all joined in as well, trying to hack and slash and cut away at the vines to get to their brothers.
Raphael was the first to back up. His eyes were like a sea, the shoreline receding in on itself to foretell of a tsunami about to break free. He knew something was up with Leonardo the minute they got there, and now that there was a wall between them and Leonardo was alone in that place with Draxum and Shredder and Krang, the cold truth smacked Raphael worse than any of the blows Shredder could ever deal to him. The tsunami spilled out of his eyes in the form of a torrent of tears and his sobs were like the howl of the storming winds the nature disaster would bring with it. He was the leader, it should be him in there, and if he had his mystic weapons, he could have just busted through those walls! He looked down at the bloody mess of his hands, torn open by the thorns he hardly noticed as he had punched the walls. His Hamato blood flowed out of the wounds and dripped down his knuckles. The faintest sound the drops made when they plopped on the ground were like the sharpest thunder in Raphael’s mind. Then he made two tight fists as the true tsunami made itself known.
He didn't need his tonfa! He was strong with them, sure, but he was just as strong without them! He had survived Shredder without his tonfa, and he had survived fourteen years of his life without the need for them! He didn't need them, but Leonardo needed him. Raphael felt a burning in his chest and at the base of his spine, and this time when his eyes turned white, he was still in control. His tears flowed just as openly as ever, but his lips betrayed them by pulling back in a roar that seemed to shake the very foundation of the structure at his feet.
Eyes focused. Elbows locked. Stance low.
***
“Before I preserve you, I have a show I’d like you to see.” Krang motioned to Cassandra as she eagerly held a blade to Yoshi’s neck, waiting for her cue to slice it.
“Is it Land Before Time? Because those movies? Awesome!” Leonardo risked a few steps forward. He tensed his muscles and grabbed at his wounds to try and make the blood flow from himself faster.
“You’re very obnoxious. It’s obvious your father taught you no manners. So, allow me to be you teacher.”
“You mean I have to stare at your bubblegum-looking self for eight hours Monday through Friday? No thanks!”
“Laugh while you can, little turtle…” Krang went to give the motion for Cassandra to carry through with the ceremony, but at that moment he stopped for some reason, and he looked at Leonardo. No, he looked behind Leonardo.
Leonardo turned in time to see the vines bust open and reveal a furious, almost floating Raphael. His feet just barely graded the ground, his chest emblazoned red with the Hamato Clan sigil, and his eyes glowing like white fire. The vines continued to try and tug and pull at him, resealing themselves behind him. He pulled the vines right back, snapping them in both his hands and his teeth.
“Woah…” Donnie gulped from where he was still in Shredder’s hand, trapped by the force of the great beast.
Raphael stood facing Krang for one long moment before charging. Krang charged up his blasters in preparation to meet Raphael in battle.
“RAPH NO!”
Then Raphael did the strangest thing yet. He stopped his charge, his eyes still locked on Krang though with no intent to attack him. Leonardo could see that now. Raphael slammed his fist down hard into the stone, his blood leaking out into the ceremonial markings and staining them red.

RotTMNT Oneshot: Sweet Sixteen
((This scene just popped into my head, aaaaand I don’t feel like writing anything else atm so- hope you all enjoy))
It wasn’t often that the lair was bustling early in the morning; the Hamato-Jitsu family stayed up late, and often slept in even later. But on certain days such as these, only one person was allowed to sleep in...
At about 7 a.m., all activity was quickly shushed as silent shadows crept towards a specific room - a bedroom with red-tinted walls thanks to the small lamp that was still lit. They could hear quiet snores, and grinned to themselves as they snuck inside.
Still somewhat asleep but awake enough that his ninja senses were reacting to certain noises and scents, Raph snorted a bit and turned over as he began to stir from his slumber. He instinctively hugged his teddy - he had chosen Dr. Huggenstein the night before - close and tried to bury his face in the back of its head, hoping for just a bit more sleep.
And yet, his mind was slowly starting to wake. He could smell something fruity and buttery near. He could hear quiet giggles and quiet steps padding across the floor of his room. And, despite his eyes being closed, he could still somewhat ‘see’ figures coming closer and closer, until they were standing right in front of him...
With his curiosity now too much for even his sleepy mind to ignore, Raph opened one eye, and-
“SURPRISE!”
The snapper flinched, startled as he sat up and nearly throwing a punch at his ‘surprise’ - although this was anything but a surprise attack, and due to expecting it, his family easily stepped back, avoiding the hit expertly as they laughed.
Donnie and Mikey threw bundles of red and green confetti at him, and as Splinter held up the stack of strawberry and chocolate waffles, Leo leaned over and placed a plastic “Sweet Sixteen” tiara right on his big brother’s head. “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you~!”
Although he groaned a bit at being surprised by one of their family’s longest running traditions (again. You’d think expecting it would be enough to STOP him from freaking out), Raph still smiled as his family sang and clapped.
When they finished, Raph naturally invited them all in for a group hug. “D’awww, thanks guys.”
“No probles, Big Brother.” “Happy birthday, Raphie!” “Heh, seems like we got you pretty good this year, huh?”
“Ugh, only ‘cause I was in a deep sleep!” Raph argued, pouting only a little, “I’ll be ready next year.”
Splinter just chuckled at his boys, shaking his head. He hadn’t expected this Birthday Morning tradition to last sixteen years when he started doing it when they were all tots (albeit with less screaming involved, at first) but he was sure glad that it had. “Here,” he said, handing the snapper his breakfast, “Best to eat them before they get too cold and soggy.”
“Right, don’t wanna lose that crunch,” Raph agreed, quickly digging in. Although they still had their own breakfasts to prepare, his brothers and father kept him company as he ate. Honestly, Raph appreciated that just as much as he appreciated the breakfast itself.
Naturally, they discussed Raph’s ‘birthday wish’ plans for that day first - another family tradition, the birthday boy (or girl, in April’s case) gets to decide what they all did as a group that day. For his Sweet 16, Raph had decided on some sparring with Frankenfoot, go-karting at Albeartoland, a small shopping spree at Teddy Bear Town (gotta spend that bday money somehow) and capping off the night with a three-hour wrestling special that was premiering on TV (after presents and cake, of course).
His bros approved of all these ideas, and after texting the schedule to April and CJ, they gave her approval too.
Afterwards, the brothers moved on onto talking about past birthdays, followed by Leo, Mikey and Donnie all talking about the plans that they had for their upcoming birthdays. But as fun as this conversation was, Raph couldn’t help but notice his father growing quieter the longer it went on.
Eventually, his brothers excused themselves to both grab their own breakfasts and give Raph some space to get ready for the day. (The guy didn’t even have his bandana on yet! How embarrassing - or at least it would’ve been if there was anyone but family there). The only one who stayed was his pop, sitting there as content as ever with a soft, slightly bittersweet smile on his face.
“...Everything alright, Pops?” Raph finally asked, once he had polished off his waffles.
“Hm? Oh yes yes, I’m fine... So, how are you feeling, my son?” Splinter asked, “Sixteen is a pretty big milestone, after all.”
“Heh, I’m good. ...Honestly, it doesn’t feel all that different from fifteen” Raph replied. Thinking about it, he added, “Maybe ‘cause a bunch of stuff has already happened in the past year?” He was now officially a year older, yeah, but it felt like he had already done plenty of changing and growing before then.
Who would’ve thought that he would be given mystic weapons (and later mystic powers), learn about his dad’s past, take down several city-ending threats, meet the spirits of his family, and become a hero alongside his family and friends all before his next birthday? That whole situation was... pretty crazy to think about. Amazing, yeah, but definitely still crazy. In that sense, maybe a more normal and lowkey birthday was just what he needed.
Raph was brought back to the present when he felt his father patting his shell. “Yes, you make a fair point... Still, this birthday is just as much an accomplishment as anything else, and certainly worth celebrating properly.”
The old rat sighed a bit, closing his eyes for just a moment. “You boys are growing up so fast... Before I know it, you will be all grown up. You and your brothers...”
“Aw, come on, Dad...” Setting his plate to the side, Raph pulled Splinter in for a one-armed hug. “We’re always gonna need ya, no matter how old or grown up we get.”
“Heh, I know...” But it was still admittedly nice to hear. “Still, you cannot blame me for being a bit... well, a bit shell-shocked as it were whenever I think about how far you have come, Red. I remember when you were all small enough for me to hold in my arms, and now-”
Splinter stopped, his eyes widening as if he realized (or maybe remembered) something - something apparently funny enough to make him laugh. “Did I tell you- ah, no, I wouldn’t have... Well, no time than the present. Want to know something about the day you were born?”
Raph’s eyes widened at the suggestion, more than a little surprised at his dad’s sudden openness about that day, which Splinter supposed he should have expected, considering previous reactions to anything (or anyone) relating to it.
“I know I do not always-” or ever- “talk about the day I was mutated, but it was not a completely bad day.” He smirked. “I got you boys that day, didn’t I? Heh, you were all so tiny and cute! And you-” Splinter laughed again, and while he was still a bit surprised, now Raph was curious about what was so funny, and how did it involve him?
“Okay, so- this was before your boys were- yourselves. Back when you were norm- ah, average turtles. I was picking you all up, looking at how cute you all were and, well, at one point I decided to give you a kiss on your little head - and you know what you did in return? You bit me!”
“Pffft-!” Raph brought a hand to his mouth, hiding his laughs. “I did not!”
“Oh yes you did!” Splinter shot back, grinning now, “Bit me right on the lip! And I am pretty sure I still have the scar to prove it, somewhere under all this fur. Oh, I was so mad! Heh, but only for a few seconds. It is cruel to be mad at a baby, after all...”
His expression softened a bit as he thought about what happened next. Although Splinter was sure that he would always have mixed feelings about what happened that day and the transformation he received, he would always see the creation of his sons as a blessing that he would always be grateful for.
“Once you were all yourselves, I did all I could to get you boys to safety. And when I held you and your brothers in my arms and saw you all looking up at me... I knew that I would never be able to let you go.”
Even before he began calling them his sons, even when he still only saw them as ‘innocent creatures’ and had no idea what they would eventually become, they were still his. And they always would be.
“You have all grown so much that day... And I am not just talking about size, although you especially have certainly gotten bigger.” Splinter looked up and smiled at his eldest. “You are strong, and brave, and so kind... You are more of an honorable man at sixteen than I ever was, and I am so, SO very proud of you, Raphael.”
By this point, Raph’s tears were already beginning to fall, but the snapper could hardly care about that. He just brought his rat dad in for another hug - one that Splinter happily returned. When he eventually felt his son’s grip begin to loosen, Splinter moved to stand on his tip-toes and moved his tail towards his son’s head.
Understanding what he was getting at, Raph lowered his head, allowing Splinter’s tail to lift up the silly tiara as his dad planted a kiss right on the center of his head. “Heh... Happy birthday, my son.”
Wiping his eyes, Raph nodded back. “Thanks, Pops.”
“Oh please, thank YOU for not biting me again.”
The two shared another laugh, staying beside each other a bit longer. When Splinter did finally decide to leave, he made sure to grab his son’s plate to take back to the kitchen. “Try not to come home too late, I’ll be sure to have supper waiting for you all when you get back. But make sure to enjoy yourself today too, okay?”
Raph chuckled, nodding again. “I will,” he promised - easy enough to do, considering it already felt like a great day. Splinter gave him one last smile before walking away.
As he put on his bandana and his wraps, Raph continued to smile to himself. Maybe he didn’t feel any different than he did at fifteen, and maybe in comparison the days where he escaped a Battle Nexus or fought a dark armor, a birthday wasn’t THAT big of a deal.
But maybe his dad was also right. Maybe it was still an accomplishment that he was a year older - that he was still there, still living and still right beside his family, even after a less-than-normal ‘birth’ and everything that came after.
Maybe that really was worth celebrating, especially when that celebrating was done with the people that actually made his life worth living.
Speaking of which- “Hey, Raph! You still in there?” “Come on! We’ve already got the dojo set up, and we’re pretty sure Buddy’s just gonna start punchin’ stuff if you don’t get in here!”
“Yeah yeah, I’m coming - and you guys better be ready!” Raph shouted back, grinning.
With his wraps, belts and bandana all now on, he grabbed his sai, spinning them a few times before sliding them into their holsters. Once that was done, he happily raced out of his room and ran towards the dojo, more than ready to seize the day - seize his birthday - for all it was worth.

Forgotten
Chapter Six
It was infuriating being forced to sit quietly while his hands are bound to keep him from getting away. Casey had explained what had happened while he continued to glare at the group of strangers that currently resided in the room with him. It was making him uncomfortable how they all gave him looks of various emotions all directed at him in some way. The rat was looking at him like he'd just watched him be stabbed right in front of him, the perfect picture of grief and disbelief. The red turtle was looking at him in anger and pain, almost as if he had no idea how to handle what he'd been told by Casey and April. The purple turtle was looking at him with concern and despair. And the last one, the orange turtle was looking at him like he'd personally shanked him in the kidney. Betrayal and confusion all over his expression.
It made him feel uncomfortable and to his confusion slightly guilty. He couldn't help but feel like it was his fault that they were feeling this way even though he didn't know these people. These strangers who kept calling him Leo, who kept looking at him like he was something important. It made him uneasy. It made him feel conflicted and on edge even more so than he'd originally been.
'I wish I had stayed in my forest.....'
He thought in a bitter manner. With each passing moment he found himself regretting his decision to leave his home in the forest more and more. Surely he could have taken those strangers in the forest near his shack on. He was decently strong and could fight well enough. If he'd just remained calm and thought things through then the people with the red footprint would have no longer have been a problem. But no. Instead he panicked and ran away hiding in an old pickup truck and making his way to this cursed place and being caught like an animal in a trap. He had no one to blame but himself for the situation he was in, no matter how much it unnerved him and made him afraid. The turtle was knocked out of his head by the sudden accented voice filling the room.
"So what are we gonna do Casey?? If what you're saying is true then that means that our brother doesn't even know who we are!! How are we gonna fix him?!?"
The red turtle snapped, frustration seeping into his tone. Casey didn't seem too bothered by his outburst, the man just reminded quiet as the turtle yelled.
"I don't know Raph. If I knew how to fix this I would have and you know that!"
Casey responded in a somewhat irritated manner despite the calmness he radiated. The red turtle, Raph was quick to jump on the tone his eyes narrowing into slits. But before he could say anything in response the purple turtle and April were in between them, quickly trying to defuse the situation before it exploded out of proportion.
"Raph calm down! I get you're upset, we all are but if we lose our heads now then we'll be of no help to Leo!"
The taller turtle exclaimed, his reddish brown eyes filled with nervousness and pain. Raph turned an angry green eyed stare towards him, the obvious frustration and newfound grief getting to him.
"How can I calm down when Leo's like this Donnie?!? How can I not lose my head when he doesn't even know who we are anymore?!?"
Raph exploded. Chaos erupted shortly after with several voices speaking to try and get Raph to calm down and to keep Casey from snapping. The giant rat was quick to try and get to his boys while the two humans were speaking over one another. He sat there silently, curling in on himself due to all the noise. He wasn't used to chaotic atmospheres like this, he was used to the peaceful atmosphere of his forest and the welcoming embrace of the trees and other wildlife that he'd lived in. As the group continued to somewhat shout at one another he was suddenly startled by the presence sitting near him. Dark nervous blue eyes quickly flickered in the direction of the unknown presence only to meet baby blue hues filled with concern and nervousness. The orange turtle had moved closer to him during the confusion, keeping a watchful eye on him the entire time he moved closer. The turtle stiffened in slight fear and stress as the smaller one moved a bit more towards him.
"Stay back."
He hissed in what he hoped was a threatening manner. The other turtle didn't pay any heed to him instead moving a little bit closer. At this point he was practically invading his space, just close enough to make out his features yet far enough that he wouldn't be able to cause any damage to the younger turtle. It scared him how undeterred the orange turtle was to move closer despite the earlier threat on his life.
"Get away....! I'm warning you if you don't back off right now I'll-"
His threat was cut off by the gentle hand that suddenly touched his shell. He felt the air leave his lungs as he froze in his place, his mind going blank from the bold move. It took a moment for him to realize what the other teen was doing. He was rubbing his shell in a soothing way, gentle circles touching the hardened surface in an attempt to give comfort. It left him stunned, unable to understand nor believe in what was happening. The other turtle continued the gentle gesture, keeping a focused gaze on him.
"It's....it's okay bro. I know you're scared and confused but.....but it'll be okay. I promise. You don't need to be scared anymore."
He said softly, his voice sounded innocent and kind. It baffled him how this other turtle's voice seemed to actually make him relax much to his horror. He didn't understand exactly why he found this fellow turtle teen suddenly comforting, why he couldn't attack him like he'd threatened earlier. Confused dark blue eyes watched him as he continued to comfort him.
"Why....why are you....?"
He croaked softly startling the other teen. Big blue eyes looked at him before soften slightly.
"Cause you need us.....just like we need you. You need me right now and I'm gonna be there for you because you're my big brother and...."
The younger turtle paused seemingly in thought for a brief moment.
"And you'd do the same thing for me if I was in your shoes....."
He finished staring at him head on. The older turtle sucked in a sharp breath, eyes wide with shock and disbelief. He'd never met this child before in his entire life, yet the way he looked at him and the way he spoke to him......it was so sincere. Unbearably sincere that it threw him off. It was at this point that he'd realized that the room had gone suspiciously silent which made him tense up again in unease. Tearing his gaze from the other he looked to see that the group that had been arguing had gone silent, their eyes watching the two interact. The purple turtle had what looked like a somewhat small smile on his face, his gap in his teeth peeking out a bit.
"Well it seems like Mikey already has the right idea on how to help him."
The tall turtle Donnie said seemingly relieved. The shorter turtle Raph was looking between them with an unreadable expression but his posture was relaxed now.
"Of course it'd be the baby of the family. Leo always had a soft spot for ya."
Raph said in a gruff tone. The rat was watching them with a small sorrowful smile before looking at Casey and April.
"Thank you both for finding my son. We're forever in your debt."
He said giving a grateful look towards the humans.
"We were happy to do it Master Splinter. Leo's family after all."
April said softly her gaze landing on him. He just stared back at her, confusion and caution on his face.
"I'd keep the zip ties on him till you get home at least. Leo maybe docile now but I've got a feeling that once that wears off he'll go and try to kick someone's ass."
Casey said in a blunt manner. Donnie gave him a small glare at the reminder of the zip ties that currently bound him and cut into his wrists. The orange turtle, Mikey frowned as he took in his wrists obviously not liking it. Raph and Master Splinter just stiffened a bit before surprisingly letting it go.
"Noted. I think it's time to head home, I've got to go check over his wounds and make sure he isn't hurt anywhere else."
Donnie said in a deathly calm voice. It made the tied up turtle stiffen even more at the underlying threat.
'If you ever do something like this again you'll regret it friend or not.'
Was the unsaid thing that hung in the air. Casey nodded understanding perfectly. He didn't have time to process anymore before he felt two strong arms wrap around him and yank him up only to throw him over a shoulder like a sack of potatoes. He felt himself panic a bit at the sudden touch and started to squirm to try and break free.
"Hey, hey! Careful Fearless you're gonna get hurt even more if you keep squirming!"
Raph's gruff tone filled his ears. Dark blue eyes quickly moved around the room in a slight panic before Mikey's eyes came into view, Donnie and Master Splinter watching him with a concerned look.
"It's okay we're just taking you home bro. We're not gonna hurt you, I promised remember?"
Mikey spoke in a somewhat soft voice to try and help him relax. The turtle looked at the group that currently had him, looking for any signs of a lie. Seeing nothing but the same sincerity that Mikey had he relaxed much to his dismay and allowed Raph to carry him. All too soon they were out of the apartment and heading towards a large vehicle where with surprisingly gentle hands Raph settled him inside. Once the others had hopped into the large truck they drove away, the apartment that held April and Casey disappearing behind them. Despite the nervousness and still lingering fear that prickled in the back of his mind he couldn't help but feel safer somewhat. He didn't know these people but they hadn't harmed him yet so he was going to go with it. If worse came to worse he could escape later. The turtle teen suddenly felt exhausted as the events of the day started to hit him full force. He shook himself to try and stay awake until a gentle rubbing to his shell relaxed him. Blinking he found himself looking at the red turtle Raph who was doing the same thing Mikey had done earlier. Bright green eyes softened slightly and no longer holding the earlier frustration and anger.
"Get some sleep Fearless. I'll make sure you're okay."
Raph said softly, somewhat embarrassed by his own voice. That was all it took for him to lean on the short tempered teen as he finally gave into sleep and leaving his fate up to the unknown future.
*I'm alive and yet somewhat dead whoop-! Okay so obviously our boy Leo is having a not so fun time with all of this but luckily he's got his family to help him out! Also I couldn't pass up some Mikey, Raph and Leo bonding time even if it's incredibly short and protective Donnie was a must. As this series goes on it'll focus on all of the family bonding with Leo and helping him in anyway they can. Anyways if any y'all read this I hope you enjoyed it!*

Its late in the evening, the sky is changing to darker shades and so are our lives. Liam is dealing with his own issues; I am handling mine. Both of us are on crossroads in our respective lives, unsure, where to go from here. He has been with his father for past two hours, and the meeting seems to have left him gloomy.
We start walking to the hedge maze, across the lawns of the palace. The maze, that held the carefree moments of our lives. The maze, where we hid as the royal palace hosted courtly affairs. The difference now is, there are no more carefree moments nor we are young enough to hide away from all our problems.
The pink trumpet tree stands tall in the centre. I slow down, as we round off, while Liam plods towards the tree. He hugs it and suddenly I see his shoulders shaking, tears streaming down his cheeks. It’s been years since I saw him this broken.
I take quick steps to be with him. “What’s the matter Liam?” I gently pat on his shoulder. He usually hugs this tree whenever he misses his mother. She planted this tree long back. Liam lost her when we were 9 years old.
King Constantine soon got a queen to rule besides him when he married Regina but Liam never got a replacement. He respects Queen Regina but misses the warmth in the relationship.
“Liam! You are killing me. What’s wrong?”
“He is… he is….”
“Who?”
Liam takes a deep breath and straightens up. “No, I should not burden you with all this.”
I pull him away from the tree and turn him to face me. “Liam, I’m your friend, of course I care. So, please you need to speak up.”
Liam props down reclining on the tree trunk. I follow and sit beside him. He starts with a deep sigh, “Father… he is suffering from lung cancer.” I give him a shocked look and he gives an agonizing stare “And he doesn’t have much time.”
My eyes are fixed on him as he fills me in with more information. When he concludes the details, I start with a heavy heart. ““Liam…I know there is no comparison but I want you to remember when I lost my dad.”
It was devastating incident for both of us. My father was head of the king's guard and died while defending the king, that is Liam’s father. We were kids then and Liam wouldn’t stop apologising. But that was not what I wanted him to recollect.
I turn to him and clasp his shoulders, shaking him to gain his attention. “I never got a chance to say goodbye, Liam! You have him right here. Do all you can for him while he is still here. And who knows the treatment may work wonders for him. These things are unpredictable.”
We both know that the last part of what I said, is a false hope but hope is all we have now.
We keep sitting there till the sky gets darker and our talks and thoughts get muddled up. Somewhere in between we get up and lumber off to our rooms. It’s decided that we won’t be talking about it to anyone. Liam plans to call up his elder brother Leo and ask him to come back to Cordonia soon.
Next few days are spent in preparation of the Apple blossom festival. The ‘Cordonian ruby' apples form the main revenue generating exports of the country. The royal family hosts the festival every year at their Applewood country manor. It has the largest apple orchard of Cordonia. The king makes sure to attend this one in person, to show his gratitude to the apple growers and the farmers, preserving the noble traditions.
Liam has got back into his stoic demeanour and court duties. No one realises his internal struggles. He has travelled with the suitors to Applewood, a day before the event, while I stay back at the palace.
I miss my dad more every year at this time of the year. We had a family tradition of attending the first day of the festival, and then camping away on higher altitude with him.
I get a call from Liam on the day of festival, at around noon. “Hey, can you come over to Applewood?”
“Anything urgent, Liam?”
“Yes, I need your help.”
“I will be there.” I don’t give it a second thought. I am worried about Liam since the last event. I pack quickly and drive down. As I am nearing my destination, I get another call from Liam. “I am almost there, Liam.” I answer hurriedly.
“I called you for that. I don’t want you to go to the manor. I am sending you my location. Meet me there.”
I set up my GPRS to the said location which strangely, seems to be some club. It’s quite unlikely to find Liam at some random club.
I reach the place in some time, park my truck and rush inside. But the scene inside is much different than my expectation. Max is sitting on a mechanical bull and Riley, Hana and Liam are all cheering up.
I am standing baffled, not realising that my mouth is hung open until Riley sashays towards me and pushes my chin up. “Welcome to the paaarrrty” she shouts over the music.
Liam follows her giving me a hug, and says in a hushed tone, in my ear. “ Happy birthday Bro!”
As he moves away, I give him a glare. He knows I never like talking about it, leave aside celebrating it! “You…told…?”
“No, not exactly. We just sneaked out to have some fun. What a coincidence!” He waves off.
Riley drags me to the bar. I perch myself on a stool next to her. She orders our drinks and as we say cheers she leans in, “Happy birthday!” My mouth remains open and no words form while I keep gazing at her, stupefied. She repeats her gesture and tugs my chin up. “ Don’t mention!” She winks. I shake my head, and close my eyes in disbelief.
“He told you, didn’t he?
“May be...” Riley shrugs. “ Relax and enjoy!”
She shimmies down to where Liam is standing. He throws his head back laughing out but starts moving with her. Max joins them while Hana extracts herself from the crazy dance.
I get up and slide down with her in the neighbouring booth. “You are not dancing?”
“ You call that freestyle, dancing?” Hana giggles.
“That is Max’s breakdance for you.” I grin back at her.
“I can’t dance like that. I just know the dances I am trained for. What about you?”
“Not my cup of tea.”
We both are looking at the trio on the dancefloor when Hana suddenly says, “Hey, Happy birthday to you!”
“ I can’t believe this!” I throw my hands in the air.
“Excuse me?”
“ Liam told all of you, when he knows how much I hate it.”
“But I see you are enjoying it.” Hana shrugs.
“I mean I find it odd, mentioning it, and then hese wishes… everyone wishing, I don’t know what to say.”
“Thank you.”
“What?”
‘'You say thank you, Drake! They love you. Look at the brighter side. They are all here for you. I have never had such fun filled birthday.”
“I am sorry. Its just that this is all different, like a changed world for me.”
“ A good change.” She responds. She seems to have some plan up her sleeve. She stretches out a hand, “ Get up.”
“What do you want me to do?”
“I didn’t ask you last time. Now it’s my turn. Come with me.”
I place my hand in her tiny palm, and she steps out of the backdoor, and I follow. Its quaint out there as compared to the loud music inside the club. The backside of the countryside club seems to be facing a large grazing land. There is no building, no vehicle, no one around. Only the moonlight beaming down on us, making Hana's pink sequinned dress shimmer some more.
She places my one hand on her waist and holds up the other hand. She slides her slender fingers in my upheld hand. She closes the distance between us. She lifts her eyelids and I find loosing myself into the depth of her eyes.
“Hana…” I swallow a lump in my throat, “ I can’t… I have never done this.”
“Shhh…Follow me.”
I am clumsy at it but she gets a perfect grip of my movements. She sways, and without any effort, she moves me swiftly with her. I have no idea what form of dance we are doing. There is no music, just our breathing giving us a rhythm to follow.
The night seems to be melting into the honey almonds of her eyes. The breeze blows her dark brown tresses, ever so lightly. The chill in the air brings us closer. The soft touch of her hands, one in my hand and the other on my shoulder, relaxes not just my body but seems to be calming my soul. I lose the track of time once again when I embrace her warmth.
The ringtone of my phone brings us back to the present. I fumble with the device before swiping my finger to accept Liam's call “I... I am right outside the club, Liam.”
“We are outside the club too but we can’t find either you or Lady Hana.”
I slap my forehead and Hana widens her eyes and covers her mouth to hide her laugh “I mean I am on the other side. I will be there in a minute.”
“Do you know where Hana is?” Liam has a concern in his voice.
“She is with me.” I blurt out.
I hear Liam clearing his throat. “Oh, okay. We will wait.”
I hang up and find Hana staring at me with a smile playing on her lips. I roll my eyes and say, “Oh please! Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like what?” she chuckles.
I avoid her gaze. “Let’s go. They are waiting for us.”
We walk to the parking to find the rest of the gang. I can feel their prying eyes and I rub the back of my neck nervously.
Max lets out a snort and Liam starts laughing. Riley grabs Liam’s arm and doubles up.
“What is it?” I look at each one of them totally confused only to find that Hana has also joined them, laughing.
Riley steps ahead and pinches my cheeks. “Marshmallow!”
“Who?” I am still looking at them puzzled.
“Look at your face Walker, red as a beetroot!”
I cover my face with my hands. “We need to head back kids.” Bastein’s serious tone stops all the chortling. A quick bye-bye, and they all bee line to the SUV. I quietly step towards the truck, my eyes fixed down as I try to ignore Bastein's knowing looks.
I get into the truck and let out a sigh of relief. I hide my face in my hands thinking of what just happened. I gleefully turn my keys but my action is cut short by a phone call.
A phone call that I was not expecting or maybe I was expecting but I forgot about it. I find my fingers shaking a bit as I receive the call.
“Hello?” says the sharp voice.
“Livy?”
“Happy birthday…”

The Best He Can
Okay, so maybe saying what Donnie said was a bit stupid and insensitive, even for his standards, and maybe using the tone that he did conveyed a message that he didn’t mean, and maybe, just maybe he should have paid attention to Leo’s body language as the words that flowed into the air continued to rise in volume and lower in mercy. He understood that now, and he was desperate to apologize to his twin, despite how terrible he was at it. When all had been said and done, when hearts had been broken, tears had fallen, and nothing was able to break the tension as Leo ran away, everyone else knew that it was time to do something.
‘Besides,’ Donnie thought to himself, ‘even though apologizing isn’t my strong suit, this can’t end up being that difficult, right? It’s Leo for crying out loud! He’ll be ready to forgive and forget in no time!’
And now, because of that train of thought, Donnie found himself standing underneath a large tree in the forest, his brothers and father(s) near for moral support. It was on the eighth branch that had a decent length- and a curiously steady hold despite how thin it was -where Leo hung upside down, and ‘Oh my god, when did our tails become prehensile?!’,  Donnie thought to himself. When he sensed his family near, Leo’s head pulled into his shell, along with his arms and legs, leaving only his shell and his- just barely visible tail -out in the open.
“I don’t want to talk to you! Leave me alone!” came Leo’s muffled shout, pain evident in his voice. “Go back home!”
Of course, Raph took this as a challenge, and he- being the sweetheart he is who is willing to do anything to keep his family happy -started to climb the tree, ignoring the words of protest he earned from the others. Every now and then, the words “You’re too heavy! The branch won’t hold!” would be spoken, but Raph responded with a very convinced claim of “I’m a ninja! If I can be Light As A Feather, I can balance myself on a branch!”
Splinter muttered an exasperated curse in Japanese under his breath, having become fed up with the stubbornness that was very clearly an inherited trait of the Hamato family. “Raphael! The branch is going to break! You may have advanced in your Ninjutsu, but you are still the size of a car!”
“Guys! Stop worrying!” Raph scoffed, finally making it to the branch that his upset brother dwelled. With slow and steady steps, Raph inched over to Leo, smirking smugly as he continued on without making the branch even creak. “Hey buddy... I know that you’re not feeling too happy right now, but I promise that Donnie is really super sorry about what he said.”
Leo hissed loudly, momentarily poking his head out to snarl at Raph before retreating into the dark sanctuary that was his shell. Raph huffed, moving closer and closer to Leo. Low warning growls were directed at Raph, but he pointedly ignored them, reaching out a hand to try and grip the edge of Leo’s Carapace. In one swift movement, Leo popped out of his shell, unwrapping his tail from the branch and hopping onto one higher up. The sudden movement caused the branch to break, sending Raph falling flat onto his face.
“I’m okay.” Raph mumbled, lifting his face and shaking the grass off his face. “So... maybe me going up there wasn’t the best idea.”
“Oh really? Who would have guessed?” Draxum scoffed, looking directly at Donnie. “You! Purple! You were the one who started this! Go up there and soothe your brother!”
“But I-”
“DO IT NOW!” Draxum’s order echoed through the forest, and Donnie yelped, activating the wings on his battle shell and flying up to gently land on the branch his brother was perched upon. With one final glance to Draxum, Donnie sneered before turning his full attention to Leo.
“Um... hey...?” Donnie muttered, clearly unsure of what he was supposed to do and say. Leo scoffed at the awkward attempt of an icebreaker, his tail wrapping around the branch as a warning that any wrong movement or word would send him straight back to his hiding position. “Well what do you want me to do?! You know how bad I am at this!”
“Yeah, I do, and you wouldn’t have to do it if you hadn't said what you did.” Leo turned his back to Donnie, pretending to stare out at a cloud that was coincidentally shaped like a rubber ducky. “All I did was pull a prank, bro. I didn't mean to hurt anyone, let alone you.”
Donnie frowned at the reminder, rubbing the back of his neck bashfully. “I know you didn’t, ‘Nardo, but...” Donnie took in a deep breath; if he was going to set things straight, he might was well do it with a clear head. ‘Tell the truth’ is what his mind constantly told him, and he intended to. “I wasn’t yelling at you, per se, nor was I trying to hurt you in any way.”
It was clear from the look on Leo’s face that his interest was piqued, and he finally turned to look at his twin. “What’s that s’posed to mean?”
“Do you remember that time we got our tongues stuck in those mouse traps?” Donnie asked. Leo nodded, a bit annoyed that his question was answered with a question, but trusting that he would get an actual answer soon enough. “It was a stupid dare that got us yelled at for nearly half an hour. I honestly remember it like it was yesterday; to tell you the truth, I swear that I’ve never seen dad’s veins that visible since.”
Leo snickered, smiling for a brief second before replacing it with a frown when Donnie looked his way. “Is there a point to this, or are you just trying to avoid the subject?”
“There is a point,” Donnie assured, “but I would get to it faster if you shut your snout.”
“I make no promises.” Leo quipped, slowly but surely unwrapping his tail from the branch. It wasn’t exactly an ‘I Forgive You’ gesture, but it was close enough to spur Donnie on.
“Well, to delay your inevitable chatter, I will ask one final question.” Donnie waited for the frustrated groan from Leo he was sure to receive. When it came, Donnie continued. “Do you remember why dad yelled at us like that?”
“I don’t remember the exact wording, but I’m pretty sure it was something along the lines of “I was more scared than angry. When I saw you two in pain, I couldn’t help but feel the need to protect you.” which is when he proceeded to ground us.” Leo recounted the event almost easily, a fond smirk appearing on his face. “But what does that have to do with... what you said?”
“When I yelled at you, I wasn’t upset. I was honestly kind of terrified...” Donnie paused, scratching at a bit of loose skin from the branch the two were settled upon. “You don't know how scary it was to see my own twin brother lying on his Carapace, covered in blood.”
“But it was fa-”
“I know that! But I didn't care! One of my biggest fears is losing you, all of you! I thought that I had left something out that had hurt you, that I was the reason why you were just... lying there... you looked so lifeless.” Donnie wiped away the streams of tears falling from his eyes. “Ugh, look at me... the guy who doesn’t understand feelings is sitting here crying because of some stupid prank pulled by his equally stupid-” Donnie cut himself off, remembering the words he’d uttered that started this mess.
“Go on, say it.” Leo huffed, his frown returning. “Say that I’m just as stupid as the prank.”
“No.” Leo looked up at the refusal, asking many silent questions with his wide eyes. “I’m not going to say it, because it isn’t true. You aren’t stupid. I was just upset, and when I get upset I get snappy.”
“Snappy? That’s what you’re calling it?” Leo asked in disbelief, giving a genuine snicker, which soon turned into a full-hearted laugh. For a while, Donnie watched Leo in confusion, wondering what was so funny. “Dude, you cannot tell me that you truly believe Snappy does what you said justice! Your face was as red as Raph’s mask! You looked like a freakin’ cherry!”
“Okay, I get it, ‘Nardo. You don’t need to ruin the mood.”
“Uh, what mood? This whole conversation has been as awkward as Dad’s relationship with Draxum!” An indignant scoff came from Donnie, and Leo barked out a laugh that left him coughing violently. “Don! Can’t breathe!”
Donnie groaned, drawing Leo close and massaging the back of Leo’s neck. A good minute or so passed, and Donnie had started to contemplate karate chopping Leo in the stomach, but Leo eventually stopped coughing. A loud sputter was shared between the twins, and they chuckled at the coincidence.
“So uh... am I forgiven?” Donnie asked, wanting desperately to be able to get home and disappear into his lab to try and forget this mess. Unfortunately for him, however, Leo was aware of this plan, and the mutant Slider gave a false hum. “Leo...”
“I’ll forgive you on one condition.” Leo chimed, looking directly into Donnie’s eyes. “You have to spend the rest of the night in the Apology Nest with me, where we will drink hot chocolate and watch cheesy B-Movies until we pass out.”
“I am not going to do that.”
“Then I’m not going to forgive you. What you said really hurt, Dee. I hope you at least realize that it’s a feat in itself to get me to forgive you for... y’know.” Leo lowered his gaze to the ground, where the rest of the family had sat down to talk about whatever. “It made me cry, Dee. Something that’s really hard to do, mind you.”
Donnie sighed heavily, weighing his options before deciding that, yes, he did owe Leo the Apology Nest treatment. Nothing could excuse what had happened in the lab earlier that day, and Donnie knew this. What he said was despicable, thoughtless, and heartless. Even if he meant none of it, he had no right to say it.
“Alright,” Donnie finally whispered, “I accept the conditions.”
“Good. And thanks.” Leo replied happily, standing up and balancing on the branch.
“What for?” Donnie raised a brow, standing up as well and holding Leo in a tight hug so that they could both safely float down to the ground. As they descended, Leo responded:
“For doing the best you can.”

Like A DAD !
Summary:  Three times where the brothers see Raph as a dad, and one time he finally notices.
Made with @prototypelq
Also on Ao3
.
1- Donnie
Currently, Donnie was near the entrance of his lab as he stared at the floor while Raph was in front of him and lecturing him about his actions, even if he wasn’t really listening to his big bro.
The reason of why he was in this situation to begin with was that he had been building a new, very clever and effective upgrade for his high-tech bō and had the less brilliant idea of testing it soon after finishing it. That is, around two in the morning, when all of his brothers and also Splinter were asleep and he was the only one still up tinkering in his workshop.
But sadly, his genius idea literally went up in smoke as it exploded during the test with a strong and very loud "BOOM" that echoed through the sewers.
Who was immediately followed by a powerful "DONIIIIIIE!" And if he knew the red turtle as well as he thought he did, and he knew he did, it usually meant 'You’re into trouble young man!’.
"Do you realize you could have hurt yourself like that?" And here he was, as his big brother lectured him.
"Sorry, Raph…" Honestly, he just wanted to go back to his workshop to find out what was wrong with the upgrade, but he knew that with Raph watching over him, that would be impossible.
“You better be sorry! Do you know how you worried us with that explosion? Besides, what were you doing at two am working? You are supposed to be sleeping!" The oldest turtle continued to scold him.
"Oh that’s fine, you're not my dad!"
"I'm not, but that doesn't stop me from worrying about you!" Even though his older brother's tone and voice were angry, his face only expressed concern for his younger brother.
Donatello rolled his eyes, sometimes Raph's brother protective instinct was hard to handle.
Seeing his little brother's reaction, the red turtle realized that he wasn't listening to him anyway and that it was already quite late.
Raph sighed, "Okay, I’m gonna pass for this one. But next time you experiment something, please avoid doing it in the middle of the night? And above all, avoid almost exploding yourself please?" His voice had grown softer as he spoke.
"Yeah, got it..." Donnie was still kinda upset that he couldn't continue his tests, but since he had just blown up about half of his workshop, he judged that even if Raph let him go, he couldn't doing much anyway.
“Okay, back to bed now." Was the only warning the purple turtle had before Raph took him like he weighed absolutely nothing (which was probably the case now that he thought about it) and started to walk to his brother’s room.
“Hey! I can walk!" He had too much pride for that! Seriously, he wasn't a baby anymore! He didn't need his brother to put him to bed like he and his brothers did when they were little turtles, no matter that his brother was still the tallest of the family and that he was always been able to lift them easily.
At that his brother just hummed and continued on his way. In reaction, Donnie gasped dramatically, as if his own brother had betrayed him, and that reaction was not at all dramatic, okay!
Raph finally let him go and Donatello landed on his bed with an ‘ Oof ’ sound.
"How long have you been awake anyway?" ‘Too long’ was what he wanted to reply but he kept his mouth shut, his brother continued, "You shouldn't be working until that late Donnie. Well, good night lil’ bro!" The larger turtle says in the same tone that a parent would talk to their kid.
“Yeah, good night Raph." He answered with his voice a little blocked as his was still face first into the mattress. His brother laughed a little and smiled softly, before leaving he added "Don't go to bed too late."
Honestly, Raph was behaving more like a dad that a brother sometimes, what he was supposed to do with that. If he wanted to keep his image of a person without feelings, he couldn't say that the fact that Raph was always looking after him and his bros made him happy.
But he was smiling softly to himself as he put on his pajamas and closed his eyes to rest for the first time in just too long.
.
Unknown to Donnie and Raph, at the sound of the explosion a certain mutant rat-man woke up and went to see, where the other brothers had already guessed what had happened and had let Raph lecture their genius bro.
Splinter at the sight of the scene and at Raph's dedication to his little brother well-being smiled knowingly to himself and walked away, knowing that the brothers will always be there for each other, and that Red in particular would always watch over them.
.
2- Leo
Hueso, "You know what I'm going to have to do..."
Leo, "Please, don’t!" He said in a plaintive tone without really believing in his own words, he knew the minute the firdt table at Hueso’s establishment was broken that he was screwed.
Hueso, “I'm going to call your dad."
"UURG! Come on!" He couldn't help but growl. "Can't we sort this out nicely? We're friends, aren't we? Ummm?" Suddenly he lifted his head as an idea occurred to him and smiled. "And what if I put that on the line?…" he said as he placed two coupons for a teddy bear in one of Hueso's bony hand.
"Just because you failed to get me to cooperate with one ticket last time doesn't mean that with two it works!" He exclaimed almost offended as he handed the tickets back to him instead of balling them up and throwing them like the first time he tried this. Leo was glad that although the yokai skeleton would never admit it out loud, they had become good friends.
Without doing it on purpose, earlier Leo participated into a battle at his friend's place when a villain mutant that he already fought with his bros in the past (although it was really rare that there was mutants instead of yokai except for them, but here they were) recognized Leo and a fight followed within the establishment. But in his defense, Leo made a heck of a show for every client watching him fight.
The villain ends up fleeing after that the great Leo kicked his butt but the fight had done some property damage and the other mutant was already too far away to ask him to come back and pay for everything he broke.
"So what's your father's number again?" Hueso's voice comes.
Shiiiiiiiit, he couldn't tell his pops that he had accidentally damaged a mystic pizza place! He had nothing against his dad but if he found out about that he wouldn’t ever hear the end of how that was the perfect setting where he could have used bowls instead of his teleporting portal-generating Ōdachi to fight.
“Urrg, what would Lou Jitsu do?" He thought not dor the first time, but it was quite unlikely that Lou Jitsu would ever be in trouble because he damaged a pizza place and his friend/owner was asking him to call for his dad.
So in a slightly less familiar but not unfamiliar way, he thought, "What would Raph do?" Hoping Mind Raph would give him some helpful advice.
Mind Raph materialized in Leo's mind and pointed with a thumbs up to himself while saying, "Just call me!" And he was right! Leo could just call him instead of their dad! It wouldn't be the first time their big brother has taken the role of their father in the immediate absence of their dad, so there was no promblem!
"Oh, my dad's phone number? Here it is." He then dictated the number to Hueso. Leo was glad that Donnie made a phone for each one of them, it was really handy sometimes.
And so, like a student who got into trouble and waiting for their parents to arrive after the teacher called them, he waited in one of the seats that hasn’t been destroyed while trying to make conversation with his skeleton friend.
Finally, a big red turtle appeared at the entrance to the pizzeria through the wall. And Hueso directly noticed the difference between his oldest brother and the rat-man he had heard about. “He's not your father." He said with a certain reproach in his voice as he turned to Leo.
“Dad, Raph, same difference! Besides, he's the oldest of all of us and also the most mature one anyway!"
Hueso sign, decided to roll with it and walked over to Raph, "Well, I guess even if you're not his father you'll do."
"What did he do?" His big brother said as if it was routine for Leo to break stuff and then for Raph to talk their way out of the problem. Which, to be fair, was the case.
After that Hueso explained to him what had happened and why his restaurant was in such bad shape compared to usual, Raph apologized for his little brother and Hueso demanded a repayment. At this Raph seemed taken by surprise, Leo knew it was Donnie who was taking care of the finances in the family, not Raph.
"Um, well," Raphael said very classy, "It's not much but here." He handed him a discount coupon to make a teddy bear with both hands, bending down his spine a little like their father had taught them.
A silence.
At the expression on the skeleton's face of disbelief and like if it was written 'why?' on it, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing (again), Leo could only burst into laughter.
Just the picture was so hilarious for him that he had tears in his eyes and practically rolled on the floor at this point. He couldn't believe his brother had done the exact same thing as he did, but he did got his coupons through his big brother after all.
Raph honestly had a genuine confused expression on his face at Hueso and Leo's reactions.
The skeleton said to Leo a little irritated, "Well, at least now I know who you get from at least..."
At that Raph looked like something clicked and roughly figured out what was going on and looked a little embarrassed. He pushed the coupon into one of the bony hands of the yokai and then took Leo under one of his arms and ran into the mystic portal wall.
The youngest turtle waved goodbye at his friend while still laughing. "Alright, thanks for everything, sorry for the inconvenience, bye!" Added Raph, still running.
Leo had a smile plastered on his face the whole time. He was glad that whatever problem he would fallen into, his oldest brother would always be there to help him out.
The owner barely had time to say "Hey-!" Before Raph and Leo were already gone, leaving him alone, in a damaged restaurant, with now three discount coupons for a teddy bear.
And Leo was right, at least his older brother DID tried to be mature (at least he tried his best). He had rather low exceptions for the father of those brothers agents of chaos.
But surprisingly enough, the red turtle had met them.
Maybe he could get Hueso junior a teddy bear or two on his way home after all.
.
3- Mikey
Mikey 's head popped out from the kitchen, "Hey Raph, can you help me cook something?"
"Of course Mikey ." Raph put his alters down on the floor and walked to the kitchen.
Although Mikey was the best cook in the house with their dad, Raph was the second best brother to cook. Something to do with the fact that he used to make meals for his little brothers when they were little, although there’s not much age difference between them. It was also Raph who had made Mikey interested and taught him the basics of how to cook before Splinter offered him a cookbook.
"What do you need my help with?"
"Oh, well…" Mikey seemed to hesitate and looked at the kitchen utensils scattered around them as if he was looking for something but wasn't sure what. Raph tilted his head on one side in confusion.
"Ah-Ah!" Mikey exclaimed, as he victoriously holds up the big bowl with the kitchen whisk and some eggs in it in the air.
"Can you beat the eggs for me, please?" He then made the best puppy eyes he had, even though, knowing his big brother, he already knew the answer.
"Sure buddy." The red turtle replied, bless his brother for his kindness. He never said no if he could help someone, especially if that 'someone' was one of his little brothers.
"I'm trying to bake a cake by the way!" He said as he got ready to work on the other ingredients.
"Better make a big one then." Raph replied.
"Haha, yeah!" And if Mikey knew his older brother well, he had to make sure that at least half the cake was enough to appease the red turtle’s big appetite. Although he knew Raph meant that they had to make enough for everyone.
So they baked together, Mikey giving him more chores as the cake was being made. Mikey really enjoyed cooking with Raph, he was so happy that he was humming a catchy tune to himself. His brother’s precense was familiar and also nostalgic to him, it reminded him of so much good memories, like that one time when they accidentally set the kitchen on fire... Okay, maybe they had happier cooking memories than that.
Raph had always been there for them, pops had never discouraged him to do so, and Mikey was almost sure that having an eldest son who looked after his little brothers so much was the dream for a lot of parents and siblings. It was almost like Raph was a father figure.
...
.......
Oh mi gosh he was a father figure.
"Hey, Mikey," the red turtle snapped him out of his thoughts, "Why did you ask me for help?" Mikey turned to him with a slightly confused expression, "Why not?"
"I mean, you don’t need my help, I know you're strong enough to whip the eggs yourself and you’re an amazing cook too." Raph was probably referring to all the times where he yeeted things that should clearly not be yeeted, like cargo, trucks and such.
"Oh, well…" It’s always better to tell the truth, he reminded himself of doctor delicate. "Do you remember when you taught me the basics of cooking when we were kids, and we used to cook together? I missed that a bit, so I kind of made an excuse to do that with you again."
" Mikey," Raph put one of his hands on his little brother's head and then pat him gently and always careful to control his strength like he always did. "You don't have to make up any excuse if you just wanna spend time with me you know, you can just ask me." If Mikey had hair, they would probably be messy with all the patting.
Raph was smiling gently at him with a kind expression that judged by others would be odd on a person of this stature and appearance. But for Mikey and the rest of the family, there was nothing more natural.
Yup, definitely a father figure.
.
4- Raph
Mikey, Leo, Donnie and himself were in the living room of the lair, Leo and Mikey were playing a video game while Raph was in the armchair right behind them and watched the game playing between them, Donnie was in the other armchair at his right, eyes fixed on his phone.
Then a sudden revelation came to him.
"Guys?..."
His brothers looked back at him, curious. Mikey paused the game they were playing and Donnie stopped tapping on his phone to listen to him.
“Am I like, a dad to you or what?"
Without even considering for a second, Mikey replied with a smile “Kinda!"
Leo, “Pretty much."
Donnie, “Yeah."
Raph looked at them like they've grown a second head. “What?? He could only respond, confused by their replies and even more confused by the fact that it sounded so obvious to them.
“I thought you knew." Leo replied at the extreme confusion that was on his oldest brother’s face.
"I didn’t!" He answered immediately. "What about dad then?"
"I’m pretty sure he knows." Mikey answered this time, his smile still on his face.
“I do know!" As to prove his point, a vague voice came from somewhere further into the lair.
“DAAAAD?!" The exclamation of disbelief came as Raph was now kneeling on the armchair and was facing around where Spliter's voice came from.
Donnie seemed to find the whole exchange funny since he had a amused look on his face, barely hidden by his now forgotten phone as Raph looked at him desperately for answers to the news he was apparently the only one who didn’t know.
Leo and Mikey seemed to also enjoy the show if he could tell by how they were trying to hold back their laughs. He appreciated the effort though. But he still needed answers.
"What do you mean by 'he knows' Mikey?! Wait." Raph turned in his chair again, facing where his dad in an other room was. “DAD! Do I behave like a dad sometimes?" He called.
A distant voice replied for the second time, "You sure do, son!"
Raph, “WHAAAT?!"
Leo burst out laughing, Mikey as well but less loudly while Donnie was still holding back.
Raph spoke again, much quieter than earlier, "But, isn't it... Weird?"
At the doubt in the voice of the red turtle, Leo decided to reassure him by smiling and putting his arm around the shoulders of his big brother," Of course it’s not bro, what would we be without your parental instinct anyway?" But Raph still didn't look completely convinced as he slid his gaze to Leo to the floor.
Suddenly a paternal hand rested on Raph's shoulder, he turned his head to see Splinter who had probably come to see what was happening, patting him on the shoulder. "Raphael, know that I could never dream of having a better son who cares for his brothers as much as you do. I’m so proud of you."
At the end of this sentence Raph had tears in his eyes and before anyone could add anything else, the red turtle hugged them all in his arms in one big hug as he was smiling one ear to another, as the others were reacting to being lifted by Raph, and gave his family a very light squeeze, still aware of his own strength.
“I love you so much guys!" Raph said in a tone that couldn't be more sincere.
This was followed by “Same here, red” and several variations of “Love you too, bro!" at the same time from his father and his baby brothers. While the four of them were held by one man in a big family hug. Too bad April, (aka their adopted sister) wasn't there but Raph made a mental note to tell her how much she meant to them and give her a hug as soon as she was back into the lair.
Raph couldn't imagine having a better family than the one he already had.
.
Some hours later, Raph could be find hugging a very confused April O'Neil as he had a big smile on his face as the other brothers watched a little amused but also were smiling kindly and had sweet gazes on their faces as well.
“What happened here??" She asked genuinely confused while still being hugged by Raph.
Donnie, "Oh nothing, just Raph embracing his inner-dad."
April, "..."
April, "Excuse me, WHAT?!"

Pine’s College Jocks 2 Ch. 6 - (Re)Building time!
Leo’s POV
I do believe in destiny.
Or I have to, otherwise this would be a very specific chain of coincidences that would have made me very mad, but it didn’t seem to be the case.
Barrinfield city wasn’t exactly where I was headed, but business is business. I was looking forward for a meeting to further expand the company I own, since these things are usually pretty simple. But, the wealthy guys decided to change the place of the meeting to near
A few words, breaking the wills of my comrades and enforcing mine over theirs. As soon as that’s done, I can start counting a couple more numbers in the company’s records.
I walked in the building I was staying in, a hotel with great ratings. Some would call me selfish, because I use my mind control powers to get what I want, but I really don’t care. I AM the one with mind control powers, there must be a reason why I’ve got them.
But I’m bloody sure it doesn’t involve helping some weirdos become professional football players, that’s some… weird fantasy fetish world Piney lives in. (Besides, everyone knows that rugby is waaaay better than football).
Don’t get me wrong, I love that guy. Seeing someone so… ‘pure’ to call it some way, not being corrupted by the powers and trying to do good with them. He’s nice to be around but he also seems kinda… I dunno, but not like dumb because he’s probably way smarter than me.
I got in the elevator and pressed the second-to-last button.
And now, we got ourselves in a bit of a situation. Changing my ways? Not something I thought I would be doing in my Saturdays but alright, I’m amazing so I’ll handle this like a pro.
Besides, he’ll be changing his ways too. Maybe he would learn how things work when you are an all-powerful mind controller.
I mean, I see it like this: There are two kinds of people. Normal people, who live their lives thinking they are free, and want mundane things like the new Xbox, a good job, etc.
Then, us mind controllers. Pine and I are the only ones I’m aware of, but that’s still enough. We have the power to change someone’s personality, routine, likes and dislikes. Their way of thinking, or how they see the world, too!
He wants to do good with his powers? That’s great, and I’m really proud of him for that. But I honestly prefer what I do. Living my life to the fullest and just… taking what I want, because who would stop to think about it when you are basically a god?
Okay, I’m going way over the top here. But, my point is, we’ve both been blessed with this gift, and I’d like him to try out new things before settling down and doing charity for the rest of his life.
He does seem to have a pretty thought of system by the way he handles off things in his campus. Enjoying his good college years while also playing fair. I didn’t do that, nah. I preferred just telling my professors to give me a good grade, since I couldn’t see myself in the future using boring stuff in my work.
The elevator’s doors opened and I was greeted by a corridor. I walked up to my door and entered the apartment I was staying in during my staying in Pine’s city.
I was greeted by a pretty good view, as Alan was still working out in the middle of the room. He was the previous owner of LeoCorp, my old classmate didn’t hesitate to pass the ownership to me after I was done with him.
Now, he was my mindless bro, wanting to keep himself big and strong to serve his master. Hey, I love pretty buffed guys and good looking girls. But I shoot more for the gay side of my bisexuality, I feel a deeper connection with my bros. (“Deeper”, get that?)
I moved towards my friend. He was mumbling numbers as he did some pushups. “59… 60… 61…”
Alan was just a few months younger than me, with blond hair, perfectly smooth body, and a body similar to mine. Wide shoulders, lean torso with nice abs and pecs. When I wasn’t around, he worked out or resumed his assistant’s duties, doing most of my job for me.
After he unwillingly gave me his company, I decided to repay him by making him a permanent slave of mine. He had a good salary, but he didn’t care those lil’ details as long as he was able to serve me.
But, I’ve made a deal. Being more… “nice” with my powers. I’ve got in front of Alan as he did his pushups and stared at him.
He stopped as soon as he noticed me, and looked at me with a big grin “Master! How long have you been there? I’m sorry I haven’t-”
“Quiet, I’m trying to work here” I said, trying to concentrate. I stared at his eyes, trying to reestablish our little mind link. I hoped Pine could someday teach me how he manages to make his mind links permanent, because having them for a few hours was a pain in the ass, honestly.
There, I created the bond. Alan’s eyes became glassy as I toyed with his mind. He was a puppet, a mere pet looking forward to pleasure and obey his master… Well, not anymore.
I tried my best to repair him, just like I remembered him, at least. A friendly and funny guy at my university, with a lot of energy and ideas to take his family business to the sky. Ultimately, he managed to achieve that, just not as the president of it.
I cared for my friend, and I would never destroy his life. But a naïve mistake (Uh… my fault, sorry) left him without his mind, and that’s… that’s something I didn’t know how to fix. I’ve never really looked deeply into it, either. I’ve got into that college because of a rugby scholarship, but my mind control powers also helped a lot with the recruiters.
After learning Pine was a psychology major, I assumed he did the same thing as I did. Mind control your way into being the best of the class, but that didn’t seem to be the case. The guy actually paid attention and tried to study hard enough to be the best, while also using his powers to help others achieve the same result.
Having confirmed that he had the brains and was smarter than me, I wanted to ask him for help with this issue but… I have to give the example. I’m supposed to be older, better, stronger, I’m running out of adjectives to describe how I’m supposed to be superior, and I wanted to think that he looked up to me the day we’ve met.
Besides, he did it already, with the swimming coach. Another accident on my behalf, but he managed to fix it quite easily. Something I haven’t achieved before, but he was angry with me after that, so I didn’t dare to ask him if he could repeat it with someone he never met before.
I could see why, I had to send him my memories of our time together at college, and recreate his personality from there. A big fan of football and baseball, but not that athletic himself. I fixed that when I made him mine, too.
But now… humanity returned to him, as his expression faded and was quickly replaced by confusion.
He still was enthralled, since I didn’t finish with the last details. He still knew who his family was, he regained his knowledge from college, and everything that he became oblivious to returned to his mind.
I snapped my fingers in front of him. The new Alan blinked a few times, before crawling a few meters away from me. “What… Where…? …Leo?”
“Hey…” I offered my hand to him “It’s okay, let me explain everything”
But he didn’t seem to want any explanation. He looked angry, but scared at the same tme“What are you going to explain?” He mumbled. “H-How you ruined my life? How you took over my family company and made it yours?” Alan’s eyes teared up as he looked around. This is… weird, Alan would never act like this. “And what the bloody fuck is this place, Leo?”
Seems like he could remember everything that happened while under my control. That was unexpected. Still, something wasn’t right about him.
“This is… this is our place, man” I said, with a reassuring smile “Barrinfield city, in the US. Isn’t that awesome?”
“Why, Leo?” He looked up at me, without moving his body, only his head as he now noticed his very muscled body and checked himself out while remaining wary of me. “Why did you do this to me? I was your friend!”
“It wasn’t… It was not something personal, I do it with everyone!” I tried to excuse myself, but he tried to get up. He almost fell, it was like he was (or felt) weak.
“B-But that doesn’t mean you should do it! I had a business to lead! And… the first thing I remember is…” He scratched his head “It’s sorta foggy, but I remember being in our college dorm, and you seemed pissed for some reason. Twenty minutes later, I was on my knees and… I couldn’t think anymore, because of you”
I should have felt guilty, but I couldn’t. I don’t know why, but I didn’t feel bad for my actions, because I made him happy. He couldn’t forget about how blissful and happy he felt while under my control, and that’s probably what bothered him. The asshole should be thanking me!
“It was not intentional; and by the time, I didn’t know I could bring you back!”
“That’s a good reason to take over MY company, right?” Alan lumped over on the couch and just laid there, looking at me with sadness in his eyes. He wasn’t mad, he seemed more… disappointed, and scarred about these last few years.
I wasn’t lying, I didn’t know I could rebuild someone’s personality based on his information and memories. Pine did it like a natural, with coach Chris. That means I’m a horrible mind controller? Probably, but in my defense, I barely cared to search for an answer, either.
“You had no mind” I explained. “You weren’t in condition to run such an important business! I tried to make it work and fix you but… you know how that went, I could only do so much and luckily you got back to working in no time!”
“Yeah. As your assistant. So much bloody bullshit, man. You know what’s the worst part?” I raised an eyebrow. Something worse? “I still feel you inside my head, like some kind of parasite waiting for you to say something so I can jump out of this sofa and obey. And I hate it. This is not life, Leo. And… I rather not live like this.”
I moved over to his side “What are you talking about? This can totally work out! You’re back now, Al!”
But he shook his head “Bring me back under. At least, I was happy like that, and I seemed to work out a lot during these few years. C’mon, unless you want me to do something we’ll both regret” He sounded in pain, like he really didn’t want to be here right now.
‘Fuck,’ I thought ‘I fucked up again’
But I knew that this wasn’t Alan, not really. The real Alan wasn’t like this, and he knew it. If it wasn’t his normal personality who was in control of his body, he wouldn’t want to be back at all.
This was probably my fault, too. I made this Alan with my memories, but… maybe it got also mixed with my own thoughts?
I do think it was a bit of an asshole move, taking over his company instead of passing it on to another member of his family. He does have a sister, after all. It just didn’t feel right at the moment, and I had to think fast!
Maybe my insecurities went into his new personality too, and he started acting like I imagined he would? I couldn’t know for certain, being a mind controller was both a pain in the ass, and a gift from heaven.
He was too prideful to let me toy with his mind before, and he was still that prideful when he knew that he wasn’t really in control of his body. Not with me around, at least. And he was right, I could feel in our fainting mind link that he was dying for crawling towards me and pleasuring his master.
“Very well” I mumbled, looking back into his eyes, trying to strengthen our mind link “Just look into my eyes, and relax. Feel everything around you vanish, as you let my voice lead you… deeper and deeper”
His expression gave a 180°, a nice smile replacing the previous anger/sadness. His eyes glazed as the mind link reappeared, and I pushed his barely functional new personality to the back of his mind. Pine was right, this was easy.
Would have been cool to find it out in a less painful way.
“How do you feel, Al?” I asked him, caressing his face.
“Good, master… But that doesn’t matter, how may I serve you today?” And now, he was the mindless Alan he was a few hours ago. I felt like shit now, I never wanted this. And as much as I hated to say this… I needed to learn how to control my powers to avoid doing this ever again.
Better late than never, huh?
I sat beside him on the sofa. “Just… hug me, a’ight?”
“Yes, master!” He said, before hugging me with a blissful expression in his face.
“I’m so sorry, man. I really am” But it was kinda pointless. Apologizing to someone who doesn’t have awareness nor personality.
I fucked up big time when I enslaved him, and I fucked up big time again.
I needed more help from Pine than I thought I would need. Fuck my life, but that’s not a bad thing, right?
My mind controller friend will probably help me become a better and nicer mind controller, without a doubt!
----
Pine’s POV
I honestly didn’t know what to do.
I mean, having Mike become a mindless slave was fun for a while, but it’s not like now I’m going to leave my place and starting yelling at strangers “Hey YOU! You will obey me!” Then point at another guy and yell “You will also obey me! EVERYONE WILL OBEY MEEEE!!”
No, that thought made me shiver. It could work, because of the verbal mind control, but it would be really, really weird (and wrong) to do.
I preferred just chilling for now, and tomorrow I’ll get back to my normal routine. Leo didn’t give me exact instructions, he just told me to “have more fun and be less moral about it”, so I’m pretty free. I think he would have a harder time with his part of the deal.
Although… I don’t really think it counts as a deal? Seemed more like we were making a bet, or daring each other like little kids.
I imagined a little Leo next to a little me, as the two little mind controllers got into a heated argument. “I bet you can’t have fun with your powers!” Little Leo said, before Little me answered a “Yuh-uh!”
“Nuh-uh!” Little Leo answered, trying to mock my little self.
“Yuh-uh!” Lil’ Pine said again, and they just continued like that. I chuckled at the imaginary scenario playing in my head.
I could easily have more fun if I wanted, and then wipe off any change I made after I’m done with it. It’s a nice thing, knowing that I can back up their personalities before actually messing with them.
I was lying in bed, staring at the ceiling. Thinking about what to do, and Mike wasn’t around to have fun with him. He went to the university’s gym, before his first class.
It’s been a few days since I’ve made that “deal” with Leo, and I barely did anything with my powers (except for the usual stuff, like helping the football team and etc). It’s not that I’m lazy, if anything I’d like to be over with this as soon as possible, forget about it and go back to my average college student/jock master life.
I sighed. “Better get to work” I told myself, as I got up from my bed. But… what could I do?
I contemplated my phone in my hand as I thought about it. Finishing with my plan would be nice, I’ve had coach Peter/Brody, Mark, Chris and Geoff under my control. Mike wanted to help out too, but I decided to finish with the plan first before getting him in there.
Hmm… Now that I think of it, looking over for Chris would be a good thing. Trying to see if his rebuilt personality is fully working after the little… incident we had after meeting.
Yeah. That will be good, and I’ll also present him with his chores and work at the club.
‘Excellent idea!’ I told myself, before answering ‘Why, thank you!’ to myself.
I… I should get going before I keep talking to myself. Yeah, that’s also a good idea. I called Chris over and summoned him to the sports club, as I grabbed my bag and left my apartment. It was going to be a good day!
----
I arrived at the entrance of the sports club, and grabbed the keys from my pocket. It’s been a while since I’ve actually been at this place, but I was used to it since Mike dragged me a lot to workout with him. (Not that I’m complaining, I have barely-noticeable definition in my muscles now!)
I looked around and noticed Chris waiting for me near the entrance. He just looked around with his headphones on.
Without his swimming cap, I noticed his blond hair was styled in a messy, kind of spiky way. It looked good on him. He was wearing some sunglasses, a plain light blue buttoned shirt and some blue shorts. His whistle was still hanging from a cord around his neck.
I must admit, it was nicer to be around him without feeling the dread of accidentally having erased his personality. But… I’d still have to be careful, because I didn’t want to break him again. He had a placeholder of a personality now, mainly created to make his body function as a normal human being.
I took a deep breath and walked up to him. He didn’t seem to notice me, so I patted his shoulder to catch his attention.
The coach looked down at me and grinned. “Hey man. Sorry, didn’t notice you there”
I mumbled a quick “Its-alright” before moving to the door and unlocking it. Chris followed me, still smiling. That’s part of the new personality, he’s excitable and happy, so he probably couldn’t wait to see the inside.
It was still quite clean, because I never asked the janitor to stop coming to work, even though the place was closed. I saw online that if you don’t keep big buildings like this one cleaned enough, it will quickly start decaying. The man received his full pay, I made sure of that too.
We were greeted by the nice view of the lobby, where people are supposed to show their credentials or sign up as a member to enter the actual thing.
Past this part, the big gym Mikey and I used to work out at (A bit unwillingly on my part, because Mike liked to play the personal trainer with me) and the doors that lead to the other parts, like the tennis court, the inside pool, and the locker rooms. I loved how this place maintained everything quite organized.
“So, what are we doing here, master?” Yup, as I suspected. When I tried to rebuild his personality I told him to treat me like a friend when in public, but as his master when alone. “You never finished explaining me my orders”
“I think you could take care of the pool area. I mean, coaching people in there and… you know, that kind of stuff”
He beamed up “Yes master! How did you know I like swimming so much? You’re the best!”
I tried to give him a warm smile, but I couldn’t help but feel bad. I sighed “By the way, did you bring what I asked you to?”
He looked at me, a bit confused, before a light bulb seemed to turn on above his head and he started looking through his pockets.
A few seconds later, he offered me his phone. “I took pictures of everything you asked in good quality, master. But what’s that for?”
I made a dismissive gesture with my hand “You’ll find out in a while. For now, why don’t we go check the pool?”
He nodded blissfully. His new personality seems to be working, at least for the basic social actions. He should be much ruder, to be honest. But I preferred to make him a nice guy instead of rebuilding him into an asshole.
…That shouldn’t be my choice, actually. But it’s not like the mind police is going to come after Leo because he erased someone’s personality and stepped out for me to fix it, right?
I had an idea for getting him back to his old self. I could totally leave him like this and he would be completely functional. But with this placeholder personality I made up, his memories weren’t working as they should. After a day or so, he messaged me about “a strange man messaging him when he was sure they never talked before, and a bunch of things that he didn’t know how they appeared on his apartment”. He NEEDED a permanent fix, and I was the one who was going to do it.
We walked through the gym, and into the locker rooms. “Do you have swimming trunks or should I get you some at the equipment store?” I tell you, this place has everything. I get why Mike loves it, and that’s some of the reason I want to see it growing again, too.
“I’m wearing my speedos, master! They feel really comfortable!” Huh, never ordered him to do that. But that’s great, it could be his original personality resurfacing!
“Great. Let’s get changed, then!”
I started to take off my clothes, slowly. I was thinking about what I had to do.
I read about this theory in one of my psychology books, about the mind and how it stores stuff. I like to think that a personality can’t be fully erased, and it can be brought back with enough stimulus and maybe some help with my powers.
That’s why I wanted him to bring a few of his things. Trophies, family photos, anything that could help me rebuild the narcissistic swimmer’s original self.
I looked at him and noticed he was already on his speedo. Quite fast, I like it.
I finished undressing and grabbed some swimming trunks from my bag, as Chris blissfully waited for me to be ready by the door.
I finished, grabbed his phone from a bench and walked towards him. “Let’s start, alright?”
“Yes, master!” Chris and I entered the pool area afterwards. The place seemed just like the one we visited just some days ago, but decorated with different announcements and a few triangles hanging from the walls (Like some kind of tournament decoration, or a party!)
The water was clean, and if I opened up this place today, no one would manage to tell it’s been closed for a few weeks already. I’ve also been hyping it up on the club’s social media so… Everything was almost ready.
Almost, because the coaches still needed some tuning in their programming.
Chris looked around, excited. I could tell he wanted to jump in and do some laps, but he had to wait for my commands.
I looked at his unlocked phone in my hand, passing pics until I found one of a big, golden trophy. It had some kind of ocean wave at the top of it and the inscription “2014’s swimming tournament – First place”, along with a picture of him and what seemed to be some good looking sibling or friend holding it up with him. Great, that may be a good start.
I showed him the picture as he did some warm up exercises. “Remember what happened here?”
He looked kind of confused, and shook his head “I know I won that because I have the trophy, but I can’t remember it happening, master. The guy’s name is Jimmy, though. I’ve learned that after texting with him a few times in the last few days, but I can’t remember much of him either. He’s a friend!”
Cool, that would make a nice start point.
I backed up his placeholder personality with the mind link, just in case something went wrong, and continued with my plan. I told him to sit down, and when he did, I pushed his personality to the back of his mind, driving him into a nice and mindless state.
His excited grin grew on his face, as his eyes became glassy. Now I wanted to have Mike in here with us, he reminded me a lot of mindless Mikey.
“I want you to listen closely, and try to search in your subconscious more information about Jimmy, can you do that for me?” I commanded him, with a bit of hope.
If everything went well… Chris would be himself in no time.
He nodded, and closed his eyes. He laid down in the ground, and I tried to look what happened in his mind with the help of our mind link. I just had to concentrate a bit… strengthen the bond and help him out…
I laid down in the floor and closed my eyes. I had to feeling that this would help, somehow, with my concentration.
As I suspected, Chris’ mind was empty, but I pushed a bit... more… I may be able to, I dunno, get something from him?
And… there I go! I could hear Chris mumbling something, but I was too focused to let this go.
I tried as hard as I could to push the enslaved swimmer deeper into the trance, and when I felt myself getting tired from doing it, I stopped and opened my eyes. “Chris?” I asked him.
The hunk beside me was drooling with his eyes totally zoned out. He barely seemed conscious, but he still answered a “Yes… master?”
“Do you know who Jimmy is?” I asked him, with hope in my voice. I didn’t care, I wanted to get somewhere with this. Anywhere, maybe just a step closer to fix the mess I indirectly caused to this poor man’s mind.
Chris gave me a very weak nod, followed by a “yes… master… Jimmy’s my… best friend…” Alright, probably something he already knew before, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
“And can you tell me more about Jimmy? How did the two of you met?” The psychologist inside of me loved this. I couldn’t wait to graduate and do this full time, it’s a piece of cake when you have mind control powers.
“Uh… Can’t… remember, master…” He dragged the words, I tried to make him push a bit deeper, until he continued speaking “Wait… Bodybuilding competition… He got in third place, and recognized me from Instagram… Became best bros afterwards…”
Holy. Cows.
I’m making progress! Hell yeah!
“Chris, you’re doing so well for me…” Hmm, maybe some stimulus from the outside may help him too? “Would you mind taking off your speedo, as you drift deeper and deeper into your subconscious?”
“Yeessss… masterrr…” He reached out for his red underwear and took it off with a kind of robotic move. Anyway, moving back to the rebuilding the swimmer part.
“I want you to listen very carefully, with each memory or fragment we recover from… the old you, Christopher Andrew Wright, you will start feeling a wave of pleasure through your entire body, but it’ll last a few seconds, vanishing until you reach a new memory, understood? When you gather all the pieces, you will feel better than you have ever felt in your life”
There, a little motivation. Chris smiled and mumbled “Yeeesss… master…” Such a nice and compliant coach I’ve got here.
“Now, going deeper…” I tapped the phone’s screen and looked for another pic. One that seemed to be a family pic, he was hugging an elder woman and a young-ish guy, probably a few years younger than Chris, who looked very much like him. I moved to show him the photo and said “What can you tell me about this one?”
He remained silent, vaguely looking at the phone with his drool still coming out of his mouth. His mind must have done ‘click’ after staring at the pic for a bit, and searching on his subconscious. The entranced Chris whispered “Mom… and ma lil’ bro…”
YAY! More progress! I wanted to yell from the excitement and adrenaline I was feeling, but that would startle the mindfucked man.
“And what can you tell me about them? Something from your childhood maybe?” Since it would be an old memory, he would probably need more effort to reach out to it. But in the state he was in now, and me pushing him deeper as he could go with the help of our mind link, this was going to be easy.
“I… My bro and I… we used to love soccer…” Huh, another jock? Not like I’m going to go out and get him but I’m always amused to hear about them.
I grew to like them a lot, the jock stereotype turning out to be one of my favorites by now. “We played a lot… until I found my passion for swimming…” A little smile crossed his expressionless face, probably because he remembered his favorite sport.
His cock started to harden too, the ‘pleasure wave’ suggestion doing its work and it made me smile for a bit, before realizing I had still work to do.
“Try holding on to the idea of swimming, and look out for when you discovered you enjoyed swimming. Can you do that for me, Chris?”
He nodded slowly again with a nice “Yeesss… master…” I waited patiently for him to work on his mind. This was going so good so far, and I couldn’t wait to see if I finally fixed Chris! If not, at least he would regain his memories, which would already make a great advance!
“I… won my first competition… it was during junior year… in high school, master…” The swimmer said. His cock was full hard by now, but that wasn’t important. I was too excited to care about horniness.
“So, are you now able to access your old memories, Chris?” The coach gave me a weak nod “Good, I want you to hold on to them in your mind, and try your best to pull them to the front, moving them from your subconscious to your conscious mind, understood?”
He didn’t seem to, given the rather confusion expression he made, but he was going to do everything I ordered him. “Yes master…”
I closed my eyes and focused on his mind link, to help him out. I would have to see if everything worked correctly after this was over, but so far, he seemed to do well on his own.
A few minutes later, Chris suddenly sat up. Eyes wide open and looked around in surprise.
“Where the fuck… Uh… Sports club, yeah…” He seemed to answer to himself, before looking at me, sitting next to him in front of the pool. “Master! May I ask what happened? I seem to have forgotten about the last days, for some reason?”
My head was hurting. Fuck, not another overload, please not be an overload.
The sole thought of having overloads again… but it was probably just the effort I put in pushing Chris deeper into his subconscious, right?
This wasn’t the whole overloading my mind with mind links, just overusing one mind link… Ugh, this feels awful. I better get back home to rest.
But before I do that, I could totally finish explaining Chris what happened, and help him set back on track. That would probably not need any of my powers’ input at all.
“Don’t worry about it, okay? It’s better if you just pretend they were some normal rest days you’ve been taking, understood?” I put some power in my words, reassuring myself that verbal mind control wouldn’t make me go into a comma again.
I was jumping from happiness in the inside, but had to take care of him first.
“Sure thing, master” He mumbled, with a nice grin. I sighed, relieved. I could finally stop worrying about Leo having accidentally erasing someone’s personality.
I know how to bring them back (Unless Chris was a special case and not everyone stores their erased ‘mind’ in their subconscious. In that case, we would have a problem if this incident repeated itself).
He helped me get up, then stared at the pool. “Phew, water looks amazing. But I remember you wanted to teach me what I needed to do around here first, master!”
I looked at the pool. The water did look amazing, and I was tempted to jump right in and tell him to do a few laps together, but he was right, we had work to do. I also noticed he was still naked and full hard. His swimmer body looked really nice, and his cock wasn’t that bad either…
Wait, Piney. That’s your horny mind speaking, work comes first!
I sighed, I’ll have fun with the enslaved man some other time. For now, I had to be a good manager.
…For now.

Child!MC waking up to a nightmare
Napo
He heard her scream and he already flew out of bed
"ohmygodwhatswrongwhoattackedyoussshhhitllbeokayitllbeokay"
"It'll be okay, it'll be okay... I'm right here"
Tears are streaming down her eyes and his heart aches
Poor mc did not deserve this
Pats her back to sleep while reassuring her
"It's okay, big brother is here. I'm here, I'll beat up the bad guys if they try to hurt you here, alright? I'm here, MC, your big brother is here."
Mozart
"Are you alright?"
She's sniffling and almost immediately, he wraps her into a warm and caring hug and she sniffles softly on his shoulder
He doesn't mind and smooths her hair down
Hums one of his calmer pieces to her so she can sleep again
How she ended up cuddling near him as she was lulled to sleep is no mystery
No one will harm the little sister he holds dear
Leo
"Papa's here don't cry. Sshh, sshh, sshh. Papa's here with you now."
Just to be sure, he checks for monsters under her bed
"It's safe now!"
She's still troubled so he takes her into his arms and rocks her to sleep
Murmurs some Italian lullabies until she nods off
She's fallen asleep in his arms like a baby and his heart goes uwu
"My child, my sweet little daughter."
Arthur
"Waa who did-"
It takes a second for him to glance around her room and realizes it was all a nightmare that made her scream
"Awww, scared? When you have all your brothers here around you like Knights at the Round Tab - I mean Pink Bed?"
He's well-meaning and jokey enough that she coughs out a little laugh
"Aight boys, leave the big brother-ing to me!"
He sits by her bed and makes a whacky story with everyone trying to escape from a Theocat that stole all the maple syrup
She falls asleep next to his side
After a round of uwus, he places her stuffie back in her hands and drapes the blankets over her
"Hey, Mr. Teddy Bear. Make sure to protect her at night okay? Hm? What was that? ...Good."
Adorable dork
Isaac
He's scratching his head, what the heck
She had a nightmare about numbers trying to eat her
Cuddles her and says sorry about his homework for her
She buries her face in her chest and muffles "I'm sorry."
Oh come on
He didn't ask for this pure little bean to say sorry because of numbers
"Don't worry, we'll make math fun next time. We're baking with fractions! Now what's your favorite pastry and we'll do that. Pinky promise I'll make it fun, okay?"
Pinky promise
Vincent
Okay one hug from him is all it takes to make her calm down
Brush pats up on her bed too
"The gang's all here! Brush, me, you, and Mr. Teddy Bear! You have nothing to be afraid of anymore. Okay, okay, I'll hug you more, how's that."
Theo
"I WILL-"
She screams even louder and Theo screams as well
Cue silence
"Wait," MC blurts out, "you scream like a girl-"
"I don't scream like a girl! I was trying to-"
"You did it! You did scream like a girl! We all heard it - even Arthur!"
Honestly their sudden banter makes her forget her nightmares and while Theo feels huffy about it, she laughs in the end
"Theo you do scream like a-"
"Shut up Arthur, I'm punching you out the window so you can join Dazai."
Dazai
"MC-chan! Why did you scream? Who hurt - oh."
He hugs her and keeps patting her gently until she's calm
Thankfully he actually has a mochi cake in his pocket
"Say 'ah'."
"Why?"
"I have a magic nightmare-away snack for you, but you have to close your eyes when you take and chew it so it will work!"
"...it tastes like mochi."
"It's a magic nightmare-away mochi!"
No more nightmares!
Shakespeare
He gave her the nightmare in the first place after he told her a story about how Isaac had been kidnapped and roasted on a fire pit like a pig by a bunch of physics formulas
Gets his ass whooped by Count the next day
To make it up to her, he writes a fluffier story about little mousettes using Arthur's coffeepot as a pool and sends it
She winds up checking the coffeepot every now and then because she doesn't want Arthur to taste some fluffy ball fur while he drank
"Precious little summer child. Please stay as you are."
Jean
His rapier is out
FIGHTMEFIGHTMEFIGHTME-
He flings open the door and instantly deflates
It's okay Jean you're being a good older bro
He's so confused but then he hugs her and she hugs him back and cries
More confusion
Little child is scared and she's hugging him back
In a desperate attempt, he decides to teach her a little prayer before sleeping
"And now I lay myself down to sleep."
"And now... I lay myself down to sleep," she repeats
His cheeks are burning because he actually hasn't recited this prayer since he was a child but continues for her sake
He gently tucks her in and stays by her bedside
"I'm your big brother, I'll be here if you need a hug."
Comte
He sees her whimper in her sleep and he wakes her up
"You were having a nightmare little one."
She hugs him
"Mama! I was so scared!"
His heart squeezes, she called him 'Mama'
"Ssh... I'm here, don't worry. You can sleep peacefully with me around right?"
"Uh-huh."
"Alright, I'll tuck you back in."
He sings her another lullaby in other languages and she falls asleep still clutching his hand
He doesn't leave her bed because he doesn't want to disentangle his hand from hers
Sebastian
cue milk and cookies
He teases her that her is a mess so he combs it down and loosely braids it
"There, you look like a princess who will go to sleep. Now, no more wicked villains will try to curse you."
"How?"
"We're your knights and princes to protect you of course!"
cue MC hugging him and his heart goes awwww

The Others (16)
Tumblr media
[ Mafia/Gang AU ]  [ Index ]
Note: Consider reading The Quiett’s side story before this chapter ^^ it’s not necessary but it is in this universe and would fit between ch. 15 & 16.
Ji-hoon stepped out into the hallway as soon as he heard Leo’s footsteps. He was surprisingly light on his feet for someone his size. Even his steps are silent, Ji-hoon thought to himself. It took a lot out of him to be just as silent as him but he did his best in order to see where he was going so suddenly.
Lately, it seemed Leo had less of a chance to talk and spend time with you alone. If Joonkyung wasn’t around then it was Ji-hoon who was constantly tagging along, nearly clinging to him.
“Mom,” Leo called out after finally finding you.
You had just been kicked out of your own bedroom by the maids who caught you trying to reorganize your own clothes. They were upset to see you were unhappy with their work and asked for you to point out the flaws. After which they took over and had you step out.
“My baby Leo,” you sighed immediately opening your arms to hold him. It was as if he sensed your turmoil and came to your aid. “I can always rely on you to comfort me.”
His brow furrowed in question to which you responded by letting him know your grievances.
“I’m starting to get restless from not having anything to do.”
“Do you want to set for me?”
You smiled at the thought of doing something familiar. It had been a while since you were last asked to set for your son so you immediately jumped at the chance.
The two of you went out to the backyard not realizing Ji-hoon was right behind you silently watching the way you two interact. He watched you joyously set ball after ball for Leo, taking into account his every word.
After throwing the ball exactly as Leo asked you clapped your hands seeing he made the seemingly impossible shot. “Leo is the best!”  It was especially fun to see how red his face got when you praised him. “My son is the best!”
“Mom-”
“You know I was starting to think you were having so much fun with Ji-hoon that you would never ask me to do this again.”
Leo lost his hold of the ball at his mother’s sudden interruption.
“At first I was worried you might hate me after finding out that everything is my fault. Even if you don’t say anything I know you very well Leo.”
He realized even his mother had worries she hid behind her smile. Similarly, he hid his emotions behind a blank mask of indifference.
“I could never hate you,” Leo very calmly responded.
“I know,” you smiled brightly.
“Did you ever hate me?” Leo bit his lip not knowing how the words managed to slip past his lips. It was something he always thought about despite never feeling unwanted. The circumstances of his birth were always so obscure so he paid it no mind before but now that he had all the facts... it was hard not to wonder.
This seemed like a very private conversation. Ji-hoon had planned to join them, he never imagined he would stumble upon this kind of conversation. The air was thick and heavy, his own chest felt some sort of tightness.
Using his exact words you assured him, “I could never hate you.” Leo acted stoic, indifferent, and nonchalant on the outside but inside you knew he had deeply hidden his emotions for your sake. “I love you too much.”
Leo’s lips curled up relieved to hear it once more, “I love you too.”
Ji-hoon shakily sighed as tears blurred his vision. When was the last time his mother said she loved him? He pushed the tears away and went back to his usual self when he heard Leo mention their upcoming basketball game.
“What are you two doing. brother’s mom?”
You turned toward Ji-hoon’s distinguishable voice and beckoned him over when he seemed to keep his distance- most likely due to the fact your son was scowling at him. You had come to like the way he addressed you it was far more familiar than ‘Mrs. Lee’ or ‘Leo’s mom’. “Ji-hoon want to join us? I’m not very good at shooting but I can dribble and pass pretty good.”
Just to prove it you stole the ball from Leo and dribbled past him to the free-throw line only to promptly pivot and turn around to pass it back to your silent son.
Leo tossed it Ji-hoon, a silent approval allowing him to join.
Ji-hoon smiled brightly accepting the invitation and running up to you.
“You stole it from little bro but can you take the ball from me?”
He stopped short of you to show off his fancy footwork, his hands expertly dribbling the ball from one hand to the other, in between his legs, and behind his back.
You gasped in awe, “Ji-hoon is so talented.” Your genuine praise was enough to break Ji-hoon’s concentration giving you an opening to swipe the ball. In an instant, you dodged the towering teen and dribbled past him to pass the ball to an eager Leo.
Ji-hoon hadn’t seen him but his brother was already on standby near the basket. “What- no fair, this is two on one!”
You gave a small giggle enjoying the fact that you were able to finally interact with Ji-hoon outside of the drama and investigations. Referring to Zene and Ash you commented, “Too bad those two are already resting, or we could ask one of them to join us.”
Their shifts usually came to an end in the evening once they were safe at home and the boss, Dok2, was home. Then they would retire to sleep only to resume their positions at midnight.
“Then let’s take turns and share brother’s mother,” Ji-hoon boldly suggested. To his surprise, Leo simply nodded in agreement.
It wasn’t until the night chill set in that Leo was aware of how long they had been outside. He saw you shiver slightly with only a thin sweater to shield you from the wind. He smoothly slid his jacket over your shoulders not minding the cold.
“It’s getting late, we should go inside.”
You nodded in agreement. “Good idea,” you all but ran back into the warmth of the building leaving them behind. Truthfully you had been wondering until when were these two giants would deplete their energies and retire. It seemed like they would stay out all night. Thankfully your observant son noted your condition.
Ji-hoon laughed, “your mom’s pretty fast.”
Leo had no response to that.
He was simply eyeing this Ji-hoon who seemed to hide a lot for being such an open honest person. The image of Ji-hoon silently crying while poorly concealing himself was ingrained in his brain.
“Next time you want to join, just ask.”
Ji-hoon watched his brother’s retreating form with wide eyes. “You knew I was there the whole time!” How embarrassing...  “Just so you know I wasn’t eavesdropping or anything I just-” He used ‘anything’ to cover for his crying.
“Whatever big brother says,” Leo smirked.
In this situation, Ji-hoon wasn’t able to enjoy or focus on the fact that Leo had once again called him big brother. He walked with his head hung low wondering why Leo decided to speak up.
Was it to embarrass him?
Or was he genuinely concerned and giving him a chance to talk about it?
Ji-hoon knew Leo wasn’t completely devoid of emotion from what he heard earlier so he went with the second option. “I just- I realize why you have such a hard time accepting my-our, father.”
Leo had a loving mother all his life. The amount of care, love, and devotion from her was more than he had ever gotten from his parents combined. Sure, they cared for him but it was shown differently. His mother watched and educated him 24/7 when he was young; before he could even enter school. He was smart thanks to her who wanted to prepare him for his role as future heir and leader of Illionaire Ambition.
His father had put various people in charge of his safety. He brought him along to experience and familiarize himself with the business. Any question and monetary indulgence were fulfilled by him. Ji-hoon could ask for anything and it would be there. Until he started living with his father a part of him disliked the cold man that constantly ignored him unless his life was in danger.
Now he felt being by his side had softened the man. He got to see his father’s expressions the same way he saw Leo’s. He understood they were much more cautious than he who openly expressed his emotions with a few exceptions.
“You two are really alike, it’s kind of annoying.”
Leo didn’t know how to respond. To him, Ji-hoon was a more outgoing version of Joonkyung. They seemed to think and act alike. After all, what kid would suddenly accept and befriend the son of their father’s extramarital affair?
“You’re the one that likes cars, women, and jewelry.” Unlike him, Ji-hoon constantly wore chains and watches similar to their fathers. He even expressed interest in wanting to pierce his ears.
Ji-hoon relished in the thought that his interests overlapped with his father. “True...”
You were oblivious to their conversation when they caught up to you inside. That’s when Leo decided to inform you of his upcoming game.
“We’re playing next week.”
“Next week?” You looked forward to seeing the game. Although part of you was remorseful that you wouldn’t be able to engage in your pre-game ritual. There was no way you would take your son to that place now.
Joonkyung eagerly searched for you when he finished bathing and saw you had yet to come to his room.  He got downstairs just in time to witness the remorseful expression of his beloved.
“What’s wrong,” he wondered if his sons had done anything to upset her.
“Brother’s mom used to take Leo to the spa for a massage before every game but now because of AOMG she’s lamenting not being able to take him.”
“It’s just- a very experienced person worked there.” She was referring to the woman that regularly massaged Ji-hoon, the one with expertise in the field of sports medicine and physical therapy.
Joonkyung nodded in understanding. “You can go, Hoody no longer works there. She disappeared shortly after your resignation.”
You were truly angered by the two-faced woman who tried to get near you with ulterior motives. But as long as she was gone then it would be great if she could see her old co-workers. She lamented leaving so suddenly without saying goodbye.
“Then shall we go this weekend?” You looked to both Leo and Ji-hoon.
“Me too?” Ji-hoon’s eyes brightened up at the invitation, immediately accepting.
“Then we’ll all go,” Joonkyung stated very matter-of-factly causing you to give him a bewildered look. “It’s still too dangerous for you two to be alone.”
“You too?” Ji-hoon asked incredulously. If he and Leo were going then Zene and Ash would be there to protect them. If he felt more guards were needed then he could assign some.
He didn’t need to go himself.
Joonkyung wanted to go.
\\\
After a long week of school, the weekend had arrived. Leo found comfort in the familiarity of the spa despite the discomfort he felt in being there with his new father and brother.
“Manager Y/N!” The young lady at the front desk exclaimed upon seeing you. It brought all those within earshot to their feet. They began greeting you in earnest despite you not working there anymore.
“Hello everyone, don’t mind me I’m just a customer today.”
“How can you say that! We were all so worried about you.”
“Sorry,” you laughed it off not knowing what you could do. You knew you worried them, they had been your staff for many years and to suddenly leave like that must have worried and/or hurt them.
The attention shifted to Leo who seemed to have grown since they last saw him.
“It feels like ages since we last saw you.”
“Did you get taller?’
“Handsomer,” another suggested.
It was a chorus of chatter that left the usually outgoing Ji-hoon in silence. The constant glances his way didn’t help. He felt these people desperately wanted to ask him something.
It was inevitable.
Everyone was wondering who the other handsome men in your life were. However, no one dared to ask... directly.
“We’re so happy to see you are so well escorted today.” The young woman winked at you.
You blushed slightly knowing this would happen. Even if you steeled your resolve during the ride over, you still felt unsure of how you should present your relationship with Joonkyung.
You avoided Joonkyung all together and instead brought Ji-hoon and Leo to their attention. “These two have a game coming up.”
“Ah-” the woman hummed in understanding knowing well what Leo’s usual treatment consisted of. “Say no more Boss, I’ll let Saeyeon know.” She got up asking the two boys to follow her.
While they were gone you took the opportunity to question Joonkyung. You pulled him over to the waiting area. “Is it okay for you to be here with me?”
“Why wouldn’t it be?” Up until now, Joonkyung had remained silent not knowing that his looks aside, the people around them were starting to note the similarities between Joonkyung and Leo.
“I’m not sure-” You shook your head. It was one thing to reconnect and rekindle your relationship with Joonkyung behind closed doors. It was another to publicize it. While you were no one special, he had a reputation to uphold, an image and set of rules to guide his behavior.
Joonkyung didn’t need you to voice these concerns. He had already known what was on your mind since the day you nonchalantly accepted to be the Lady of Illionaire. He suspected you yourself didn’t grasp the meaning behind these words.
“Is it so hard to say you are my wife?”
“Wha-”
Joonkyung silenced you with a quick kiss before smirking.
In a hushed whisper, “When did I become your wife?”
“What did you think I meant when I declared you the Lady of Illionaire? Why do you think I am working so hard to divorce Kylie?” Joonkyung sweetly pecked your cheek to settle your shock and bring you to terms with what he was saying. “Obviously I will marry you after.”
Your heart nearly seized at the declaration as if it were set in stone. He wasn’t even divorced yet he was saying these things.
“Although we are practically married now with you living and sleeping with me-”
“Because you keep insisting!”
After sleeping with Joonkyung once he seemed to instantly take to being a couple again. He didn’t force you to move into his room or anything but he would go to your room if you didn’t go to his. Once you fell asleep in your own bed only to wake up beside him the next morning.
So you willingly went afraid your son would one day knock on your door only to find you two together. He was a teenage boy but still, you worried about how to deal with this type of thing. You were mindful of him and Ji-hoon, making sure not to act lovingly with Joonkyung when they were around.
The usually composed man chuckled, “Yet you don’t resist once inside.”
You took a step back from him to regain composure. He was being to blatant about things that required delicacy.
The move only served to awake Joonkyung’s need to be closer. He secured his arm around your waist pulling you against him. He sat down on a cushioned seat bringing you to sit on top of his lap.
“I can sit on my own,” you tried to protest but he held you firmly. You hid your reddening face hastily behind your hands. Unable to comprehend Joonkyung’s sudden good mood left you vulnerable.
Joonkyung kissed the hand that kept your cheek from him. “You’ve done enough on your own...” his voice came off as remorseful yet sweet as he tried to portray his sincere devotion. “I want you to seriously rely on me, to depend on me.”
The entire time Joonkyung was on high alert, making sure nothing went wrong. With everyone doing their jobs behind the scene he was hopeful that soon he would be able to guarantee your safety instead of confining you in the mansion.
\\\
“You’re ditching us!” Ji-hoon indignantly exclaimed as he got off his father’s car. Instead of parking the car his father drove up to the front door and asked them to get off and you to stay.
It was pretty obvious what his father wanted to do.
“Should I follow you on your dates in the future then?”
Ji-hoon hummed, “Good point.”
Leo was especially unwilling to get off but did nonetheless. He was eyeing his father wondering what his intent was. It wasn’t like they didn’t already spend every day together. If anything Leo felt it was he who spent the least amount of time with his mother now that this man showed up. The more he thought the less he wished to know.
A blush painted your cheeks when you realized what was going on. “I’m not even dressed for a date.”
Joonkyung disagreed thinking the clothes didn’t make a difference. As long as it was you, the clothes would pale in comparison to your beauty. You could wear anything and it wouldn’t matter because his eyes would be on you regardless.
“What you are wearing is fine.”
You looked down at your outfit. Although plain, the jeans and black turtle neck were complimented by your warm coat.
After years of being single, you didn’t know what date wear would look like now. You got used to dressing for comfort as a working single mother but you did try to some extent.
Leo hesitated but said no more and turned to go inside.
“Wait for me...” Ji-hoon followed him allowing you two to drive off.
Zene and Ash quickly sprung to action, rolling out of their seats to go greet them.
“Hey young bosses, back so soon?”
“Where’s the boss?”
“We were ditched,” Ji-hoon informed them. “He took brother’s mom on a date.”
“Oh,” the two guards winked at each other not realizing Leo was glaring daggers at them. “Don’t worry young bosses, we’ll keep you company.”
“Why don’t we go out,” Ash suggested. “We can ask Mr. Kwon to drive us to the arcade or something. We can’t get too wild since you two are still kids.”
“Who’s a kid?” Ji-hoon was offended by the term. He was at least a teenager and wouldn’t let others look down on him just because he wasn’t of age yet. “Who would want to go to an arcade?”
Zene noticed the interest in Leo’s eyes. After spending so long by his side he too had started noticing Leo’s silent language. The subtle changes in his eyes and face that meant something. “Looks like the young lion boss is interested.”
“Huh?” Ji-hoon quickly turned to his younger brother. “You want to go?”
Leo didn’t confirm or deny, he looked away knowing he was at least interested. “I’ve never gone...”
“Then let’s go,” Jihoon beamed. Finally, the chance had presented itself for him to show off.
\\\
It was late at night, Donggab had finally made it home when his phone rang alarming his doting fiance. Luna sauntered out happy to see him only to stand by quietly as he answered the call with a noticeably dark expression.
“What is it?”
The Quiett answered after seeing it was a hitman from Ambition. He was originally one of Kylie’s men, one that Changmo and the other truly loyal Ambition guys alerted them to. He was monetarily persuaded to be on Kylie’s side all these years. Now they flipped him to their side by doubling the amount he regularly received from Kylie.
Had it been anyone else he would have ignored the call.
“The ex-lady put a hit out on Lady Y/N for 5 million.”
The Quiett’s jaw tensed alarming Luna. She was prepared to jump into action if necessary. Without a second thought, she made for the stairs to get dressed but was stopped by his hold on her wrist.
“Alright, thanks for the information...” He had to tell Dok2 about this. “Try to gain exclusive rights to the job. Appeal to her and make it believable.”
“What if she doesn’t agree?”
“We’ll worry about that afterward.”
Once Donggab hung up he told Luna. “She put out a hit on her.”
There was no need for names, Luna understood the situation completely. She also knew this wasn’t something she could help with. She could only curse Kylie, “that stup*d f*cking b*tch.”
He was only thankful this came out before you stepped out on your own. Donggab was aware you were due to go out for Leo’s game. Secret guards had been picked out especially for that day.
Now he knew Dok2 wouldn’t be willing to risk your life by letting you out of the mansion.
“You have to tell the boss.”
He was in agreement but before he could make the call he got another. This time it was his assistant.
“What is it?”
“Sir, AOMG is present at the north side of our territory. It seems to be Jay Park himself and his second-in-command. Additionally, there is word that one of their vehicles was spotted earlier today around Lady Y/N’s old neighborhood.”
When it rains it pours, Donggab thought to himself.
“Thank you for the information. Enhance security and send additional guards to the boss’s home. I also need people on the streets finding that stray vehicle. They must approach cautiously- it could be Sik-k.”
“Why the boss’s home?” Luna quickly demanded answers. “Are they going to be okay?”
“I’m going to inform Dok2 looks like everyone has their eye on us today.”
“Shouldn’t we check on the young bosses?”
“They have Ash and Zene.”
“Still...” Luna couldn’t leave it be. “I’m going to call him.”

Finding my soulmate seemed to be an impossible task. On top of the fact that I was generally unlikable, I pushed away anybody who could possibly care for me and finally, the nail in the coffin (non-intended death puns), whilst my body was sixteen, my brain was seventy! Anyone who could have possibly been my soulmate probably died during World War Two, like I should have. I looked around at my friends, all of them in a couple, already having found their other halves. Percy had Annabeth, Jason had Piper, Frank had my sister, which I still wasn’t massively happy about. Everyone had someone, but me.
At least, unlike Percy, I would be able to tell who my soulmate is. I mean come on, Percy knew Annabeth for years before he got it through his seaweed brain who she was. Before anyone asks anything, yes I had a crush on Percy, that is definitely over now, you didn’t get in the way of soulmates, that was like giving the three fates the middle finger. Anyway, I sat there in my natural gloom, making little skeletal things, partially because it was kind of comforting, but mostly because it freaked Leo out and that little elf had pissed me off for the last time.
“Dude, come on!” Leo shouted, alerting some of the nearby campers, “You can’t still be angry at me,” I chuckled menacingly and raised an eyebrow at him. “You wanna bet?” I asked with an evil smirk, a trademark of my dad’s that I had perfected. I touched the point of my inky sword to the patch of dead grass near Leo’s feet, a skeletal hand reaching out to grab his ankle, causing him to screech like a five year old girl and run away. I carried on my evil laugh, my sister shaking her head at me, “Neeks, you need to stop that, he doesn’t mean it, he wanted to make you smile, something other than that creepy smirk that you’re doing right now.” Hazel had a point, I guess. That doesn’t mean I was going to listen.
I shrugged my shoulders lightly, my smirk falling off my face when I saw, yet another pair of campers, discovering their soulmate. Hazel followed my gaze and looked at me, “Hey Neeks, can I talk to you?” She asked, I nodded and followed my little sister to some shade under Thalia’s Tree. I sighed and looked into Hazel’s golden eyes confused, “You’re not about to tell me that you and Beast Boy are getting married right?” I joked, letting a small smile slip through my blank facade. She giggled and shook her head, her face lit up when she laughed, I loved when I could make my sister smile, it made me feel like I wasn’t a completely useless big bro.
Her face slipped into a more serious note, “I know you think you aren’t going to find them Nico,” Oh here we go, ‘Nico you’ll find her, it just takes some time,’ I didn’t need to hear this again. “If I was able to find Frank in a world that I shouldn’t have even been alive in, I’m sure the great Nico di Angelo can find someone from the twenties who was in the same boat as you,” She continued, wrapping her arm around my shoulders. I sighed and nodded along, the truth is, I was fine without a soulmate. I mean, I haven’t even felt anything from my soulmate, not since I was eight years old. I got a scrape on my knee from absolutely nothing, Bianca then decided to tell me about soulmates.
Flashback~
I felt the tears cascading down my face, my cheeks red and my hands clutching my bleeding knee. Mom and dad were talking quietly in the corner, their hands moving as they spoke, a trait my sister and I had picked up. Bianca ran over to me once she realised that I was hurt and upset, she lifted my pants leg to the knee and had a look. She gave me the classic mother look, “Aww *povero bambino,” She muttered under her breath, “Looks like your little partner in crime is playing rough,” She tried explaining, only for me to look on confused. She sighed, picked me up, brushed me off and sat me on the sofa next to her, kids running around the hotel, laughing and cheering.
“Nico, when you were born, there were special people who chose the perfect person for you,” She started, now I was even more confused, like, someone who can beat me at mythomagic? Someone I can play games with? Bianca continued, “This perfect person is the person you will eventually fall in love with,” I must have made a face because Bianca chuckled, “Come on squirt, you’ll get used to it,” I highly doubt that. “Anyways, when your soulmate gets hurt, their pain and their injury, will reflect on you,” She said, patting my knee. So whatever my soulmate feels, I feel it too. I have so many questions, does emotional pain count? Bianca had to leave for school, so I had to save my questions for later.
Bianca gave me a kiss on the forehead and left me with mom and dad. I sat around for a while before getting a great idea. “Hey mom, can I borrow a marker?” I asked her sweetly, she smiled and gave me a bright red, washable marker. I went into the corner and sat down, crossed my legs and took the cap off of the pen, holding it between my teeth. I rolled up my sleeve and thought about what I would write. Might as well go simple, “Hi, my name’s Nico!” I waited and waited for a response. It was days before they finally responded, “Hello, I’m (y/n),” I smiled, (y/n), what a beautiful name.
Flashback over~
I smiled at Hazel and gave her a quick peck on the forehead, “Look at my little sister giving me life advice,” I cooed. She giggled a bit and pushed me away. “Shut up, I can be adult if I want to be, I’m only four years younger than you technically!” I smiled, a small smile, but she was one of the only people to have achieved that feat in six years. I chuckled and pulled her close to my chest again, the only human contact I’ve had in a while, most people would get freaked out by me hugging someone, but I’d already lost one sister, I refuse to lose a second. Hazel hugged me back, her head hardly came up to my chin, she pulled back and pushed me towards big house, “You need to go, Chiron said he was looking for you,” I nodded and headed for the big house.
Before I had made it past the cabins, I felt pinching on my arms, like needles, it didn’t really hurt but I was kind of confused. I’m not sure what I did, I hadn’t hurt myself and I hadn’t felt anything from my soulmate in decades. I lifted my hoodie sleeves, there were little specks of blood, I stopped in my tracks. Okay, I know I don’t have scurvy, so the only thing left is my soulmate, (y/n). It might seem weird that I remembered her name, we barely spoke, I knew her name and that she was my age, or at least she was when I was eight. I stared at the spots of red on my arms for while, until one was grabbed by a large hand. I looked up startled, meeting Chiron’s worried face. “Nico my boy, you’ll want to see this,” He muttered before leading me away from the big house and towards the infirmary, passing my friends as we rushed over.
Stepping into the infirmary, the entire place was in chaos. Apollo campers were running around, grabbing things, bandages, medication, bottles and needles. What the Hades was going on? That’s when I heard it. Screaming. Crying. A girl. For some reason it hurt me, all of a sudden, my chest tightened and my breathe became heavier and more laboured. Why was I suddenly feeling this way? I was in Camp, there is nothing to be frightened of. I tried to calm myself down, the feeling going away and being replaced with pure confusion. “Chiron what’s going on?” I looked over at the centaur, he pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, tension and stress radiating off the millennia old man. “We found someone a few years ago that we think might have something to do with you,” He said quietly.
Why would this person have something to do with me? I followed Chiron into a back room of the infirmary. I saw Apollo cabin’s best healers working around a single person on a cot in the centre of the room. There was the girl, I’m assuming she was the one that was screaming, she was gorgeous. (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, the most innocent and adorable confused expression on her sweet face. What was I saying? I had no idea who this person was. “Nico,” Chiron started, “When we first found her, she had writing on her arm, this is a long shot, there are many people with your name, but we wanted to be sure.” Will Solace from the Apollo cabin, and a genuinely good friend of mine brought an accurately drawn painting that looked like a photograph of the girl’s arm.
There were two lines of words, one in red marker and the other in black. “Hi, my name’s Nico!” and “Hello, I’m (y/n),” Holy shit. It was her. “(y/n),” I whispered quietly. Chiron looked at me inquisitively, “You know her?” He asked, I nodded in response. “She’s my soulmate,” I muttered, even more quietly, causing Chiron’s eyes to widen. As if in a trance I walked over to her side, grabbing a pen on my way to her. I sat in a chair next to her, looking her in the eyes. Her beautiful (e/c) eyes, they sparkled as if containing ground diamonds. Dam it Nico, focus! Her eyes seemed to be stuck to mine as mine were on hers, I took the cap off the pen and held it between my teeth, just as I had all those years ago. I gently grasped her left forearm, watching her face in concern as I wrote a few words, before gesturing for her to look down.
(y/n) pov
I gasped as I awoke. Panic filling my body as I looked around the unfamiliar room. A white cot sat in a room with wooden floors and walls, flowers and medical supplies were sat on the tables around me and sunshine flooded through the open curtains. I looked down at my arms, needles and tubes poking out of my skin. In my panic, a few of them had been pulled out, causing spots of blood to begin forming on the surface of my skin. I suddenly looked up when I heard the door open. A girl carrying fresh flowers walked in, meeting my eyes and gasping at my consciousness. How long had I been asleep for? All I remember is running through the woods before seeing an archway, some writing I couldn’t see, before passing out.
Before I knew it, half a dozen more people had entered the room, trying desperately to calm me down. I shook my head erratically and moved away from the groping hands. They were all teenagers, ranging from maybe fourteen to nineteen, that made me think. How old was I? That was the moment I had felt intense waves of serenity wash over, it felt strange though, as if they weren’t my own feelings. I had no time to rationalise that thought as the door opened once more, revealing a man, or at least his upper half was man, his lower half however had a horse’s figure and legs. A centaur, a voice told me reassuringly, I knew I could trust this man. Behind him, walked a boy and he was beautiful. Dark, messy hair that was long but not unkempt, onyx eyes that were intense and full of an emotion that I couldn’t read, as if there were many emotions rolled into one.
He looked up at me and locked my eyes with his, surprise etched into the linings of his pale face. I couldn’t bear to pull my eyes away from his own as he walked over to me slowly, picking up something I couldn’t see. He sat in a chair next to my bed, his handsome features even more defined up close, I noticed the object he had grabbed was a pen. He took the cap off and held it in his teeth, a very hot move if you ask me. He looked at me in concern as he took my left forearm, writing a few words down, all the while looking me in the eyes to make sure I was alright. After he had finished, he leaned back and gestured for me to look at my arm, biting his lower lip gently. I looked down and gasped, ‘Hello (y/n), its me, Nico’. I looked up at him, a laugh of relief escaping the smile I had on my face. Looking at his arm as he pulled up his sleeve, the writing reflected perfectly of his porcelain skin.

The gif does not match the story at all but look at this dork I am so in love with him. Hey guys! So in honor of Mark’s 26th birthday, I have built up the guts to post a little somethin somethin and this is my first time posting any of my writings on my blog(I usually keep my stories in my notes I have about 30 of them but I’m very insecure and don’t think any of them are really that good) so please be gentle with my sensitive heart. But if y’all like this story, then maybe i’ll post more. The title doesn’t really make sense either but it’s whatever. I’m a part time teacher and a full time college student so sometimes life gets rough and I wish I had a boyfriend like Mark to hold me, love me, comfort me and tell me that everything is going to be okay. Well, please enjoy!
Being a kindergarten teacher wasn’t easy. Especially because kindergarteners were at that age where they hardly knew anything other than what they learned from watching cartoons. But you knew from a very young age that you wanted to be a teacher. Back when you were still in college, there was a point where it got so difficult that you wanted to give up. In the first few weeks of teaching you realized it wasn’t everything you had hoped for. However, your devastatingly handsome boyfriend of 6 years would have never let you give up your dream.
You had met Mark in high school. Even back then, you had a huge passion for teaching, so you signed up to become a tutor for those who had a hard time in school. The first person who came running for your help, was no other than the infamous Jackson Wang. He was the captain of the basketball team, the cooking club and the leo club. Not only was he outgoing, but he was also very funny and sweet. All the girls were head over heels for him. You however, payed Jackson no mind. It was his quiet friend who had caught your eye.
For your first few tutoring sessions, it was just you and Jackson. Although he was very good in social studies and economics, he wasn’t the best in science and math. The both of you hit it off pretty well to the point where you even considered yourselves friends. One day, he asked if he could bring his friend in for some help in Language Arts and you didn’t hesitate to say yes. The more, the merrier. But when he walked in that day, you regret giving Jackson the okay to bring him.
Even if the two of you were in the same grade, you never had a chance to really cross paths with Mark. But seeing as how he was the pitcher of the baseball team, he was pretty well known throughout the school. He wasn’t as bubbly and loud as his younger friend, but his shyness and good looks had you crushing on him. Little did you know, Jackson was playing matchmaker. Jackson knew Mark really liked you and found it weird that the two of you had never spoke to each other before. Like you, Mark has seen you around multiple times and he always hears the teachers boast about how kind and intelligent you are. He also couldn’t help but notice how beautiful you were and how cute he thought your laugh was when he heard you talking with a friend.
Jackson found it weird that Mark would just watch you from afar, but he knew his friend didn’t have the guts to tell you how he felt. “I could get you a date with her you know?” Mark gave him a knowing look. “It’s fine Jackson. Please. Let it be. We’ve never talked to each other. I don’t want her thinking I’m weird for liking someone I don’t know personally.” Jackson rolled his eyes. “Fine, I won’t say anything. But, you could join us on our tutoring sessions. She’s extremely smart and she knows how to make learning fun. You never know bro. Over the course of a few weeks, the two of you could fall in love. And I will be right, like I always am.” Mark scoffed. “The last time you claimed you were right, I almost lost a toe. I don’t believe anything that comes out of your mouth anymore. But fine. I’ll come. That’s only because my grades aren’t doing so well right now.” Jackson wiggled his brows. “Okiedokie Mark. Whatever helps you sleep at night. By the way, don’t wear that ugly sweater vest. Stop borrowing Jinyoung’s clothes. It’s not a good look on you.”
Introducing yourself to Mark wasn’t as awkward as you thought it would be. But the poor boy had a brain the size of a peanut and the problem was, he was very soft spoken. He never asked you for help. He would wait until you offered. After two weeks and no progress between the two of you romantically, Jackson decided to take matters in to his own hands. Even if you hadn’t told him about your crush on Mark, he could see it in your actions and in your body language. You would always blush whenever he talked to you. When you had to lean over to check his answers, your hand would find his shoulder and your face would turn red at the touch. You also weren’t very discreet with stealing looks at him. Jackson caught you staring at him multiple times and took this as a sign to set the two of you up.
You were in the library waiting for the two boys and your breath hitched when Mark walked in by himself. Normally Jackson always arrived first, or they would walk in together. So you knew something was up when he walked in alone. “Hey y/n.” You smiled politely at him and motioned for him to sit down. “Jackson isn’t here yet? That’s odd.” You hummed in agreement. After fifteen minutes of sitting in awkward silence, you decided to start helping Mark out while waiting. However, only half an hour in to tutoring, the two of you found yourselves talking about anything and everything and totally forgetting about Mark’s homework.
What the two of you didn’t know, was Jackson watching the two of you from afar, smiling at how you were both hitting it off. Unfortunately, Jackson wasn’t the brightest bulb in the bunch.
“Hey guys. Sorry I’m late. So Mark, did you confess your undying love and affection for y/n yet?” Mark’s eyes widened and you looked up at Jackson in curiosity. “I’m sorry, what?” Mark immediately frowned and Jackson started slowly backing away. “I’m taking that as a no. Well..I’m late to practice, I’ll see the two of you later bye!” As soon as he started walking away, Mark apologized for what had just happened and quickly packed some of his things away. “Y/n, please don’t listen to anything he just said. I think he might have a concussion-“ to Mark’s surprise, you grabbed on his wrist and motioned for him to sit down. “Is it true?” He sighed. “Well, I’m not in love with you. However, I do like you a lot. But I understand if you don’t feel the same. I can find someone else to tutor me if it makes you uncomfortable.”
The peck on his cheek made fire run through his bones. “I like you too Mark.” From that day on, the two of you were inseparable and Jackson refused to ignore the fact that he was the reason the two of you were together. When you graduated from high school, he followed you to college where you majored in education and he majored in engineering. Mark was the most loving, caring and supportive boyfriend ever.
After a year of attending college, the two of you moved in to an apartment near campus together and the thought of living with him made you excited, but also very nervous. However, you craved his presence more than anything else and it felt nice coming home to him after a long day of school and work. He would never fail to cook for you when you were tired, he would run you baths when you had a rough day and sometimes he even joined you. The only problem with living with him, was how he would force you to study. You hated studying. Even if you were going to school to become a teacher, the things you were learning about and studying were boring and sometimes you felt like it was a waste of time. The longer you stayed in college, the harder classes got and the more you cried. Luckily Mark was nothing but considerate and understanding and never failed to take care of you.
On the days that you cried because the lessons were too tough and things weren’t going your way, he would pull you in to his embrace and cuddle you until you calmed down. On the nights you had to pull all nighters, he would stay up with you and helped you study. He would even write flash cards to quiz you with. There were some days where your schedules would clash and you wouldn’t get to see him until the end of the night. If he was at work, you were at school and vice versa. You really missed your boyfriend. Mark was your safe haven. Whenever he was around, you felt protected and loved. One thing that kept you going throughout the days you didn’t get to spend time with him were the little post it notes with cheesy pick up lines and cute little reminders he left for you around the apartment.
“Hey baby. I know homework is hard, but so am I. Do me instead.” “If you were a library book, I would check you out.” “I know you're busy today, but can you add me to your to-do list?“ “I bought you ice cream. One pint for every day this week. I love you.” “Stop frowning. You’re going to get worry lines on that pretty face.” “Keep your head up my love, you’ll be a teacher in no time.”
He never failed to bring a smile to your face and he was the main reason why you didn’t want to give up. Other than your love for teaching, you wanted to make him proud. When you finally graduated from college, it was the best feeling ever and you knew you had your boyfriend to thank.  After graduation, Mark took you to the cutest little restaurant to celebrate and drove you to the beach afterwards. He placed a blanket on the sand and sat down, pulling you on to his lap shortly after. “Congratulations baby girl. The blood, sweat and tears were all worth it right?” You shrugged. “Honestly, I’m gonna wait a few months before jumping in to school, I need a break.” He laughed in to your shoulder. Once the two of you were done, the two of you went home and you showed your boyfriend just how thankful you were for him the entire night.
After getting hired at the school you were teaching at, Mark made sure to help you set up your classroom and even bought some supplies for your upcoming students. You were very thankful you had such an amazing boyfriend who was so patient and supportive of your passions and dreams. Your first day of school was a breeze. The kids were all so cute and you were so excited to see what the rest of the school year would bring. Unfortunately, after only three weeks of teaching, you decided you were in over your head.
When you came home one day and dropped your things on the floor, making a beeline for your room without greeting your boyfriend, Mark knew something was wrong. You felt your favorite pair of hands wrap around your waist and soon his chest was against your back. “Hey, everything okay?” You shook your head and turned around to face him. You buried your face in to the crook of his neck. “Why did I think I was cut out for this? It’s so hard. The kids don’t want to learn, they’re always crying, screaming and yelling and don’t want to listen to me. Also, since I’m a new teacher, I have the principal walking in and out of my class unannounced and I feel like I’m being judged with how I do things. I don’t know what to do anymore.”
He placed a gentle kiss on your forehead and lifted your chin so that you were making eye contact with him. “Baby, nobody is better for this job than you. Okay? You’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I could remember. I didn’t stay up all those nights helping you study or let you soak multiple shirts of mine with your tears for nothing bub. I know you can do this. I bet you’re an amazing teacher. If you can teach Jackson Wang math, you can teach a class of kindergarteners. Just give it time. Don’t give up just because you’ve had a rough couple of days. My baby isn’t a quitter. You’re stronger than that. You’re one of the most hardworking and dedicated people I know. How about I start you a bath and cook us some dinner?” You smiled up at him and pecked his nose. “I don’t deserve you. You’re too good to me.” He chuckled in to your hair. “Yes you do. You’re wonderful and I love you.”
You talked your way in to getting Mark to join you in your bath and leaned in to his chest while he wrapped his arms around your waist and left chaste kisses along your jaw. “Babe.” You hummed. “Do you think I could come in one day and sit in on one of your classes? I wanna see you in action. I could even help out with your students if you’d like?” You turned around to caress his face. “I’d love that. And I love you. Thank you for all that you do for me. You’re the best boyfriend ever, you know that?” He chuckled. “I just love seeing you happy. And I know being a teacher makes you happy. Plus, I find it hot that you’re a teacher. We could role play. I can be a naughty student and you can punish me-“ you groaned in embarrassment and gently slapped his shoulder. Mark tended to be a horndog at all the wrong times.
The next day, Mark accompanied you to school and you introduced him to your students. The girls couldn’t stop squealing over how handsome he was and soon he was becoming a distraction. You couldn’t help but snicker at how your students started fighting over him. At recess, they all asked to play with him and even begged him to carry them. Throughout the day, your stomach was constantly filled with butterflies at the sight of how well your boyfriend got along with your students. You couldn’t help but think about your future with him. If he was this good with your class, what more when the two of you had your own kids?
With Mark being there, everything seemed to get better. The kids behaved more, a lot of the ones who were quiet were more interactive and everyone was competing to catch Mr.Mark’s attention. When you returned back to your classroom after dropping your students off to lunch, you pulled Mark in to your embrace and placed a long, passionate kiss on his lips. “Thank you for coming today. You really took a weight off my shoulders. They’re all so in love with you. Maybe you could come all the time.” His laugh echoed throughout the room. “As much as I love seeing you do your thing, I have a job too. You’re so cute you know that? And stop selling yourself short. You’re a magnificent teacher babe. I loved watching you today. You were born to be a teacher. You make my heart very happy. The kids seem to really like you. If they give you a hard time, tell them Mr.Mark is going to scold them.”
You beamed at him and went to place a soft kiss on his lips. The two of you were so busy in your little world, you failed to hear the door open and didn’t notice someone walk in until you heard a scream. “Ew! Miss y/n and Mr.Mark are kissing!” The whole class erupted in shrieks and you rolled your eyes as you sent Mark back to where he was sitting. Once school was finally over and all the kids were gone, you walked over to Mark and stood between his legs as his hands found purchase on your waist. “You know they’re going to expect you to come more often now. They’re so in love with you.” He smirked. “I can’t blame them, I’m a catch.”
He pulled you down to sit on his lap and placed a kiss on your forehead. “A few of your students told me how lucky I am to be your boyfriend and how I need to “take care of their favorite teacher”. I’m so proud of you my love. This is all you’ve wanted and more.” You wrapped your arms around his neck and sighed in contempt. “I owe it all to you. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t have you to motivate me and push me to chase after my dreams. I love you.”
He started leaving kisses along your neck and you quietly moaned in to his shoulder. “I love you more. Hey babe?” You looked up at him in curiosity, a bit upset that he pulled away. “I’ve been a naughty school boy. You should teach me a lesson.” You groaned. “You killed my vibe, I’m out of here.” He snickered. “But y/n, you love my pickup lines! What about this one, If you were my homework I’d slam you down on my desk and do you.” You gathered your things and walked towards the door. “Where are you going?! I have more!”
