'Poltergeist' Movie and 4K/Blu-ray Review
‘Poltergeist’ Movie and 4K/Blu-ray Review
The following review was written by Ultimate Rabbit correspondent, Tony Farinella.
“Poltergeist” is a film I haven’t watched in probably close to sixteen years. The last time I remember watching it was when I was preparing to interview the late Zelda Rubinstein for the DVD release of the film back in the day. Upon revisiting “Poltergeist,” I found it to be a mixed bag. There are certain…

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Brooch
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee brooch was made by award-winning British fine jewellery designer, David Marshall, and his team at their workshop in London’s iconic jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden. The piece, which represents the four nations, was commissioned by the Goldsmiths’ Company as a gift to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.
The brooch – made of 18 carat white gold; platinum; 97 round brilliant cut diamonds (2.50 carat); and 7 fancy cut diamonds (0.40 carat) – was inspired by the four nations of the United Kingdom, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, represented by four diamond set swirls and the national flowers: the rose, the thistle, the daffodil and the shamrock. Seven diamond set bands represent the seven decades of the Queen’s reign. Buckingham Palace proposed the addition of the lily of the valley given the significance of the flower in The Queen’s Coronation bouquet.

Adam Jerzy Czartoryski
(admin note: even if you don't vote for him, reading about his life is a wild ride)
Propaganda:
"Decided that the way to free Poland was by having a threesome with Alexander and his wife.”
Lefebvre:
Propaganda:
“Total DILF material, and the fiery passion in his eyes was matched only by his fiery personality! This contest may be based on looks (and Lefebvre is a strong candidate on this metric alone); but it's hard not to fall in love with his spicy takes and saucy language. He told Napoleon, "Let us throw the lawyers into the river” after agreeing to help overthrow the Directory (quoted in David G. Chandler, ed., Napoleon's Marshals), and from his English Wikipedia article: When a friend expressed envy of his estate, Lefebvre said, "Come down in the courtyard, and I'll have ten shots at you with a musket at 30 paces. If I miss, the whole estate is yours." After the friend declined this offer, Lefebvre added, "I had a thousand bullets shot at me from much closer range before I got all this." In response to a clueless young man demanding his identity at a social event, he answered, ''Je viens de la lune, où je n'ai jamais vu un Jean-Foutre de ton espèce: Je m'appelle le Général Lefebvre!” [“I come from the moon, where I’ve never seen such a #*$& as you. My name is General Lefevre!”] Quoted in The Secret History of the Cabinet of Bonaparte by Lewis Goldsmith, 1810, which is also hilarious because the author clearly hates Lefebvre, but makes him sound like a cool badass. He earns additional sexy points by sticking by his ex-washerwoman wife, who had a mouth of her own. (tbh Catherine Lefebvre, “Madame Sans-Gêne,” deserves her own Napoleonic Sexyman [gender neutral] nomination).”

All you have to do is... nothing. When someone offers a less-than-brilliant idea in a meeting, don’t criticize it. Say nothing. When someone challenges one of your decisions, don’t argue with them or make excuses. Quietly consider it and say nothing. When someone makes a helpful suggestion, don’t remind them that you already knew that. Thank them and say nothing. This is not a semantic game. The beauty of knowing what to stop - of achieving this state of inspired neutrality - is that it is so easy to do.

Platinum Jubilee Gifts
Several organizations marked Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee by gifting her a piece of jewelry.
The Goldsmiths' Company - The brooch was made by David Marshall and features diamonds set in white gold and platinum. The design includes the floral emblems of the four nations of the United Kingdom (rose for England, shamrock for Northern Ireland, thistle for Scotland, and daffodil for Wales) plus lilies of the valley which where in the Queen's coronation bouquet.
Isle of Man - The brooch was made by Element Isle and features blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, and emerald set in recycled white and yellow gold. The gemstones represent the towns of Ramsey, Peel, Castletown, and the city of Douglas and the colors are the same as the Manx Tartan.
United Grand Lodge of England - The brooch was made by Yasmin & Jonathan Lambert and features diamonds set in platinum. The design is based off the badge of Navy Lodge No 2612.
Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society - The brooch was made by David M Robinson and features diamonds and a large pearl set in platinum. The diamonds are arranged in the opening notes of God Save the Queen.

La Barrière de Clichy. Défense de Paris, le 30 mars 1814 by Horace Vernet
The artist depicts the defense of Paris on the 30th of march 1814. In the centre, Marshal Moncey gives his orders to goldsmith Claude Odiot, colonel of the national guard, for whom the painting was made. This art piece was commissioned by Jean-Baptiste Claude Odiot, who served as a French colonel during the courageous but doomed defence of Paris 1814.
