the first thought to go through my head was a battle of the bands type thing, and I thought "haha what if Leo defeated the krang with the power of song" then I immediately thought of the ending to the spongebob movie so I scrapped everything else that would've been cooler and did what I do best... the silly.

I love/hate how with each version of Leo he gets thrown through windows both figuratively and literally like-

2003 Leo: Gets his ass ambushed by the Foot and thrown through a window and goes into a few hour coma

2012 Leo: Nearly drowns in the Techodome, gets his ass ambushed by the Foot, his knee shattered and his vocal chords fucked up and then gets thrown through a window and ends up in a 3 month coma

2018 Leo: GETS SENT TO A PRISON DIMENSION AFTER NEARLY LOSING HIS FAMILY TO AN ALIEN RACE SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE INVASION AND PROCEEDS TO HAVE THE EVER LOVING FUCK BEATEN OUT OF HIM IN SAID DIMENSION

Movie night

Finally after forever it’s done!! Didn’t even take that long it was the fear of doing it that was the hardest part to get through!

I feel like Shino never had the chance to really experience entertainment media and such. Knowing that Raph made it his mission to watch all the Jupiter Jim and Lu Jitsu movies they could find. The movies are fun but Shino enjoys learning more about what Raph likes, figuring out what catchphrases he took from which movie. It’s less about the movie and more about what the movie means to Raph.

Granted she dose enjoy the movies, going out of her way to try and watch them on her own time when she’s not in the battle nexus. Goofy monster movies are her favorite so far because it’s the one time the monster gets to be the hero, and it resonates with her more then she expected.

Spirited Away (2001) - this is my desert island film, if i’m ever in a last meal situation i hope i get a last movie too & i would choose this no competition

Atomic Blonde (2017) - i love charlize theron & i also love that she doesn’t have the usual fight!girl plot armor of being the strongest, fightiest, most un-hurtable person ever. she gets her ass handed to her but keeps on going, and when you’re in a similar-feeling situation it’s deeply cathartic and reassuring to see

Lilo & Stitch (2002) - nani & lilo’s situation pushes some buttons for me…… good for when i need a cry

Linda Linda Linda (2005) - a v sweet & uplifting movie for those in-between, purgatory, existentially fraught moments in life

The Devil Wears Prada (2006) - good for when stressed about work

About a Boy (2002) - again, buttons were pushed……..

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi - shoutout to the endlessly redemptive power of love!!!
